Steve looked at her hopefully. "You know something?"

"There are some strings I can pull in Kiev." Nat rose to her feet. "Favors owed." She put a hand on Steve's shoulder, squeezed gently, and in a couple of quick strides was gone.

Steve stared after her, feeling a little better. If anyone could come up with what they needed, it was Nat.

"Until we have a way forward," Pepper said thoughtfully, "I think the best thing we can do is not just keep him safe but help him feel – normal? I think he might need that more than anything else."
