Nanashi was surprised that Kurama did not take her immediately to Gandara to King Yomi, but rather to Genkai's the next day. She was surprised to see Jin, Touya, Shishiwakamuru, Rinku, Chu, and Suzuki from way back when they competed in the Dark Tournament. She felt shy about seeing Jin especially, given their briefest of history together. The lot of them were about to spend the next six months training together. When she arrived at the temple they would be staying in, she noticed her room was the farthest away from both Kurama's and Genkai, but the closest to Jin's, finding that almost tempting. She worried though if anything happened, it would upset Genkai, not that she asked for fear of being told off for it.

The first night was quiet, almost too quiet compared to the city. The next morning's training was exhausting, making her wonder how Yusuke survived it twice over, three times if reliving it in his sleep counted. Genkai made Hiei look lackadaisical in comparison with her training. Perhaps nothing would be able to happen between her and Jin after all.

After two weeks, Kurama made a passing comment at dinner that Nanashi could fly now, but was having trouble sustaining the wind dragon's wings for a long period of time. Jin seemed to perk up at that, rather interested in her then. He offered to help teach her to fly, which she readily accepted on bated breath.

The next day, everyone split in pairs to train, with Nanashi ending up with Jin. He gave her a playful smack on the shoulder, telling her to just try and catch up before he flew off into the sky. She looked up in the sky, watching him disappear. She looked over at the other pairs splitting off, noticing Kurama lead Suzuki off without even a glance back in her direction. She summoned up the wind dragon's wings, flying off after Jin.

She landed by him, feeling a bit winded when she did so, but kept the wings up. He commented with a smirk, "wings are cheating, little bird."

She reared her head back. "No, they're not," she replied, smirking back. She flushed at the old nickname he gave her, trying not to think about it.

"Then fly without them," he challenged, jumping up into the air and hovering above her.

She jumped up, struggling to stay so low though with the wings having to buffet the air. "You just said learn to fly, not learn to fly without any wings," she recalled flirtatiously.

He at her at that, shoving into her. She fell back through the air, landing hard on the ground. "Get back up then," he challenged.

She stood up, jumping back up into the air. She surged at him, really initiating the fight. He was rougher than expected, but not as difficult to train with as Hiei had been. When her wings felt to heavy to hold, she withdrew them reluctantly, landing back down on the ground on her feet before sitting down to take a rest. She felt hot, sweaty, and her upper back ached.

"Tired already," he teased, looking up at the sun above their heads. "Probably best to head off and get some lunch with the others?" She nodded, pulling herself to stand back up. "Can't you fly anymore?" he asked, showing off how he still could.

She rose up, trying to summon the wings back up, but could hardly manage it for more than a few seconds. She shook her head, annoyed with herself. She smirked up at him before turning and running over towards the temple.

"Where do you think you're going?" he shouted after her.

He came up behind her, scooping her up in his arms unexpectedly. He flew her back to the temple, timing it well enough for all of them to eat lunch together before going back out for training. After the rest at lunch time, she found she could keep going for three more hours before her upper back said no more.

She explained briefly before landing on the ground tiredly. "I need a rest," she groaned. She landed, legs wide. She stretched her back and upper body, hearing a few joints pop. She sat down on the ground, drawing her knees up so she could rest her elbows on them.

"Take it," he said, plopping down right next to her. He looked her over at her, making her shift a little, tempted to both pull away and get closer. "Ah, the Human World," he mumbled out next to her, leaning down to look at her. "How boring has it been?" he asked.

"Not that boring," she preempted before catching him up more or less on what she had been up to since the Dark Tournament, with him echoing in kind.

They sat, talking, catching up before heading back for dinner. She was little disappointed nothing more than talking happened, but enjoyed it just the same. She went out with him the next few times they paired off, but as the only pair that stayed constantly together rather than switching it up like the others. They would train until she could not keep going, then rest and talk. By the fifth time around, she watched him as he talked, taking a risk. She leaned against him as they sat, with him straightening up a bit at it.

"What you doing, little bird?" he asked her, whispering in her ear. His breath sent shivers down her spine.

She looked up at him, eyebrows raised. She raised her head up, kissing him on the cheek before turning away from him and withdrawing to see what he would do.

He ended up pursuing her, pushing her down on the ground, initiating a bit of a wrestling match on the ground. She laughed out loud, playing at trying to get away. He eventually had her pinned down on her back, leaning over her. He looked amused, but a bit reserved when he looked down at her.

"Still not looking for anything serious?" he asked, eyes trained on her mouth.

She looked up at him, not really sure when she thought about it his question. He was still like at the Dark Tournament, playful, coy, and noncommittal. At the Dark Tournament, she had not really thought about it since she was interested in him and vice versa back then, knowing they would go back to their separate worlds afterwards. Yet now they would be together for months training and then at least a few more months in the Demon World.

"I..." she started softly, "I haven't much thought about it..."

"Demons hardly ever encounter humans anymore," he commented. "Some, the more animalistic ones, see them and want to feast on them. Others... rarely want to fuck them."

She felt herself blush, thinking back at the night they had spent together at the Dark Tournament, recalling it more enjoyable than the moments with Kurama in his human form at this point in time. "It's a little bit different timing wise this time around..." she responded.

"Months of training and months of fighting, 'tis true," he commented. "You can tame the wind though, wild and free." He wiggled his ears down at flirtatiously. "The Demon World is less tolerate than the Human World of hucking..."

She hummed, under her breath, feeling unsure of herself now. She raised her head up, kissing him. "For now," she conceded, not sure what prospects she would have otherwise.

He seemed glad to hear what she said, shoving her to lay back down on the ground and kiss her with her head on the grass beneath her. He laid on top of her, hands roaming, petting her over her clothing. She felt a sudden panic what he would have thought of her chest, nervous about what would happen if he saw the bite on her chest, not wanting this to go the way it had gone with Hiei. She shook her head at thought slightly. That was a mistake if there ever was one...

"You alright?" he asked, hands pulling at her shirt.

"Yes," she hummed, biting her lip at the thought that popped into her head.

She pushed him over onto his back, making his laugh slightly at that. She leaned over him, straddling him, trying not to get nervous and clam up. The goal was also to try to get him to the point where if and when he saw the bite, it would not chase him away. She brought her hands to his pants, shaking as she began to undo them.

"Moving a little quick," he commented, bringing himself up on his elbows.

She pulled her hands back. "Should I stop?" she asked.

"Don't you dare," he whispered challengingly. She undid his pants, finding herself breathing heavier. She pulled out his cock, looking down at it nervously. She took a steeling breath, bringing her mouth down over it. "Whoa," he breathed, hand coming to the back of her head. She kept moving on him, trying not to falter, wondering if he really liked what she was doing after all. He was breathing heavily, which was a good sign. His hand dug into her hair, prompting her to keep going. "I'll finish soon if you don't stop," he warned her huskily.

She kept moving on him, hearing him moan breathily. He finished in her mouth soon after, making her wince and nearly pull away. She did after swallowing, feeling suddenly nervous that he might not have approved of how quickly she did that. He was laying down on the ground, hands resting on his forehead, him panting deeply. She felt suddenly unsure if that was a good idea to do or not.

He sat up, leering over at her. "Now where did you learn that?" he asked. "No way you knew that last time," he tsked. She bit her lip, shaking her head. She jumped when he surged forward, shoving her back down on her back and pinning her down. "Not smart, little bird," he tsked, tugging to undo her own pants. He slipped two fingers inside of her and pumped them over and over again. She squirmed, half wanting to pull away from him, half wanting him to never stop. She moan loudly, voice cracking. His hand clamped down over her mouth. "Not too loud now," he warned her. She drew her legs together and brought her hand down to his forearm, gripping it tightly. She finished quickly at his touch, feeling dizzy when pulled away from her. "Like that still?" he smirked down on her, leaning down to give her a peck on the lips. "You take any of that medicine they give human women yet?" he asked.

"I..." she started. She shook her head. "Not anymore," she confessed.

He gave her a puzzled look. "Anymore?" She nodded, not saying anything. "Who have you been playing with?" He looked her up and down. "Not that demon-human hybrid who brought us back together...?" She did not say anything in response, bringing a fist up to her mouth. "You didn't? He seems far too much like a prude..." he sounded amused. "And yet..." he clicked his teeth, shaking his head. "A bit defensive when I got close to you the first time, but I figured that was because we were on different teams and he was being protective. Is there going to be a problem second time around?" he questioned.

"I don't want him like this anymore," she said up to him.

"Anymore?" he asked, curiously, raising his eye brows up.

"I can get protection," she rushed out, changing the subject, unsure if it were quite true, thinking she could find something in the nearest town on her one day off once a week. "As long as we keep quiet about it..."

He hummed under his breath, "you were louder than I was." He bent down, kissing her. "Hucking," he added with a laugh. "For a bit of fun anyway..." He shrugged. "Long as I'm in this boring Human World anyway."
