Bigwig and I hurried our way back in time to our warren, before the entrances would be closed off. When we arrived, the does; waiting for us to arrive back, closed it off. The two of us had to catch our breaths. I couldn't help, but compliment Bigwig's bravery of staying behind and fought along with my side.

"I have to say Bigwig... you're one stubborn Plump Rabbit. However, I admire your courage back there. Thank you."

He turned at me and I thought I was going to get a thrashing from me calling him a Plump Rabbit. Instead, he nodded. "You as well. I just hope that Campion would give us something to bring light of."

"One way to find out and see."

Captain Holly came towards. "You two are just in time. Captain Campion is just about to speak the whole warren."

The three of us hurried back into The Honeycomb, where everyone was gathered and waiting to hear from a former enemy. It was important that I wouldn't want to go into full detail of what Campion experiences, but he wanted what is best for Efrafa. Apparently with under Woundwart's leadership and gaining outside influence from Shao Kahn and his fellow Outworld Warriors causing tension among each other to the few. One of the rare incidents that he found after the escape, a small band of Efrafan bucks attempt to leave the Owsla, but were quickly caught and severely punished that he wouldn't gone in detail of their punishment.

He went further, days after Woundwart's speech of going to war against us. Campion recalled of having a short meeting between himself and Woundwart. As they spoke, Campion briefly suggestion in his good faithful words of negotiations. Not only Woundwart refuse to budge, the meeting was being supervised by The Emperor of Outworld, himself, and Sindel. Since than after the meeting, Campion faces scrutiny of being spied upon for distrust. It perhaps reached a breaking point, when Hazel and Woundwart spoke. Now it seems that Campion wasn't safe and seeks for asylum.

"... peace or not, with this 'Outworld', Woundwart won't stop until this warren is destroyed." Campion finished.

Some took his words serious, except a few does and Blackavar from Efrafa refuse to believe the defector.

"He made everyone's life in Efrafa traumatic. He's unfit to be redeemable." Hyzenthlay criticized.

Yes, but... the voice came was from my sister. Katie. Who was among the few to support Campion. "He took great care of me, during my capture. He was somewhat different than most Efrafans."

"Katie, you have to understand. What he has done is not tolerable." Hyzenthlay told her.

"When you were injured or I was separated, he didn't let most things bad happened to me." Katie spoke of small light for Campion. "I say he should be here with us."

Hyzenthlay wasn't too sure, along with other former prisoners of Efrafa. It wasn't until Captain Holly backed my sister and able to persuade his mate. "Hyzenthlay, do you remember when we were being marked, he turned away as the prisoners were being marked?"

She was silent, but acknowledges.

"I believe that he has learned his lesson about being a good rabbit, than just being a good soldier."

"Please... I don't deserve your forgiveness." Campion than spoke. "All I want is for you to give me a chance and I'll renounce my allegiance of Woundwart, and defend your freedom, along with everyone rabbit that has escaped from Efrafa to be free."

At one point, Liu Kang paid full attention of Campion's words; that he went over to Hyzenthlay and attempt to have her consider to give Campion a chance. "He's telling the truth, Hyzenthlay. His 'chi' is facing a struggle to follow orders, but he was able to express his regret and wanted to redeem himself."

"So you're going to let a former Efrafan Captain fight alongside with us?" Bigwig questioned.

"If it's up to Hazel, I say he gives a chance. I know he'll do things right in the end." I expressed for Campion's support. "We had to get him out of there, because he was in danger of Shao Kahn's men than Woundwarts."

After Campion's story and persuasion, Hazel decided to allow Campion to join us. He was assigned with Hyzenthlay, Blackavar, Captain Holly, and myself over at The Big Root entrance.

When the five of us arrived, we noticed that the Efrafans and the Outworlders are forming up in different squads or divisions. We spotted more Owsla bucks than Outworlders. However, I seen a few Fraid's men joining them, along with Fraid himself. I knew this battle wouldn't be easy. My rifle was at aim for Fraid, even though the safety was on.

"See anything, Thomas?" Captain Holly asked me.

"I see Farid, with what is left of The Black Dragon and Farid's companions. And of course, Efrafans and Tarkatans." I answered, before Liu Kang and Kung Lao, Hanzo, and Campion joined us.

"Lord Raiden, thought you four should have extra help." Liu Kang assisted.

"Thank you. Where the others?"

"Sonya, Jax, and Cage are at The Wood Run, suffering now from hearing Hawkbit's devotion to Strawberry." Kung Lao answered with a joke. "Kitana, Jade, and Nightwolf are inside the warren guarding with others, who are not involving the fight. Sub-Zero and Smoke, are guarding Hazel and Bigwig."

"Not to forget and most surprisingly, the humans are arming themselves for this fight." Campion added.

"Ordinary humans?" Hyzenthlay puzzled.

"I guess... they're wanting to give the last fight." I softly spoke. "The only thing is important... is not to die, but to live."

We continued on for minutes to observe a post that our enemies are watching our move. Minutes go on to hours and nothing has happened yet. They were expecting us to come out for food or any sort that involves us stepping outside. At one point, Liu Kang, Campion and Blackavar excused themselves to report to Hazel and Raiden. The four of us continue to watch... and nothing has happened.

When I was not observing the enemy activity, I couldn't help, but watch Captain Holly and Hyzenthlay next to each other.

"What do you see in him?" Kung Lao asked me.

I turned around to speak to him. "You mean Captain Holly?"

"Yes. You were like you never let your eye sights off of him."

"It's just that they're together in battle. They grew very beautifully matched for each other, until this is happening. I only fear of something happens to them... I won't forgive myself." I feared.

Kung Lao took a moment to think about this, but politely dismissed my worry. "He's a captain of their so called Owsla! I'm sure he'll be able to take out a few of these rabbits in battle."

I tried to agree with Kung Lao, before I looked back once again at the two rabbits. "When you arrived here, I told myself I'd do whatever I could to make you smile." Captain Holly spoke to her. "Now I'm afraid I'm not going to get the chance to see it happen."

"So, how were you planning on doing it?" Hyzenthlay then asked him.

"Well, I'd thought about saying something to show you how much I respect you. But, in the end, I just planned on telling you how... beautiful I think you are." The two than scooted next to each other, with a warm heart-touching embrace.

I smiled at the sight of them.

"He's definitely out of hi-"

"Shut up, don't ruin their moment!" I shouted at Kung Lao, that the two looked at us.

"Is something wrong?" Captain Holly asked.

Kung Lao and I became silent. "It was just that Thomas might be in fancy of you."

"Kung Lao!"

"Uhh... Thomas?" Captain Holly questioned me, before I could even speak; Liu Kang, Campion and Blackavar returned.

"Did we miss something?" Liu Kang asked.

"Is it possible that can you guys clear the space, for a moment, while I talk to Captain Holly and Hyzenthlay for a moment.

"Of course." Campion acknowledged, as he and Blackavar excused themselves for a moment, as Liu Kang attempts to follow, before realizing Kung Lao wasn't with him.

"Kung Lao!"

Kung Lao friendly smirked at me, before he went on his way, with Liu Kang. Now it was just the three of us.

"So... what do you mean, about Kung Lao saying you fancied me?" Captain Holly than asked me.

"I do not at all." I dismissed it. "I strongly feel you and Hyzenthlay are really made for each other. Meaning meant to be with each other."

"Oh. Thank you." Hyzenthlay thanked me, along with Holly thanking me.

"It's just that I do only have a fear of something happening to one of you. Especially you, Holly." I spoke. "It's that what we have seen with Scabious and Toadflax. I don't want any of this happening to either one of us and even one of you."

Hyzenthlay became a bit worried.

"I'm sorry, Hyzenthlay. I didn't mean to." I apologized.

"Not at all. I do worry about everyone here, as well." she spoke.

Captain Holly knew we may lose a few lives tonight. "Frith will watch over us. However, if something happens, it is what it must be." Hyzenthlay nuzzled him. "And Thomas?"

"Yes?"

He warmly smiled, as he showed me his scarf I gave to him. I nodded back at him. "No matter what happens... we're forever brothers."

I went over to him and hugged him. Hyzenthlay smiled. "Sir... I think she's smiling." We looked at her, expressing a beautiful smile on her face.

"I know you'll see it one day." she spoke.

Liu Kang and Kung Lao, Campion, and Blackavar returned to our positions, along with a human. The woman had with her, three flags: United Kingdom, United States of America, and a interesting flag that shows a rabbit on the center of the sun and moon.

"We're back. This woman wanted to present us with something." Kung Lao spoke.

The woman stepped forward and showed us the three flags. "You made those flags?" I asked her.

"Yes. I was able to sew them, during our times here. I was able to finish the last flag for this warren of rabbits."

"What is it?" Captain Holly asked.

The woman revealed the flag.

"Hyzenthlay, look. It's like El-Ahrairah."

"Yes, it's beautiful." she complimented the woman.

"I'll hang them out near the three entrances." She exited out of the warren.

"Wait, it's not safe!" I tried to stop her.

She turned back. "Don't worry about me, I'll be quick and I'm willing to display these flags." She hurried, as she hanged the first flag up in our entrance. She hurried to the further side to hang the second flag on the far left side of the entrance. She than began to proceed with her final hanging of the third flag.

Bang!

A shot rang out! We had enough time to see a glimpse of the woman turning around to face us, before she fell flat to the ground.

YOU BASTARDS! YOU SHOT AN UNARMED WOMAN! A soldier exited out with a few others with him. The two picked up the woman, as the three started firing at the shooter. More shots were fired at us, as the three soldiers were shot down to the ground.

"Oh no!" I feared. "She's dead."

"Blackavar, notify Hazel-rah that we're being attacked, have everyone ready!" Captain Holly ordered Blackavar. He hurried through the tunnel to find Hazel. Captain Holly firmly nodded his head at me. "Thomas... it's time."

We than heard shouts from outside. The enemy is ready for an attack. "Liu Kang, Kung Lao, if any projectiles you have, fire at them. If anyone charges, we fight with our hands and paws." I was ready in position with my rifle. Ready to shoot any enemy troops with projectiles and guns. My body began to shake, as well as my rifle.

"Thomas... remain calm." Captain Holly tries to calm me.

I nodded. However, I try to breath calmly. I never thought I was going to be in a war battle like this, unlike our last encounter. Holly's paw was than on my shoulder, as I began to hear him praying in Lapine. He was probably giving prayers for everyone that Frith watches over us and retrieves us, if one of us falls in combat. From outside, I heard Liu Kang and Kung Lao praying in Mandarin praying for the same reasons.

In combat, I hardly made a single prayer to watch over our boys in, when we're out in the field. However, in a time like this, which could be the last battle... I decided to say a brief prayer. I could only pray for everyone's safety here tonight, protect us, and above all nothing happens to anyone, especially my sister... and Captain Holly.

Shots than rang out! I looked through my scope for those flashes through the grass. I was able to pick out a few of them. Even at one point, a few of the had C4s strapped into their chests and attempt to charge at us. However, with two clean headshots each, it stopped them from charging close to us. The gunfight lasted for minutes, until it reached into a ceasefire. Minutes went on... not a single shot was fired afterwards. Was it the first wave? Or was it suppose to scare us?

It apparently didn't matter, because we than spotted Efrafans and Tarktatans are preparing to charge at us. My rifle was out of bullets, I was ready for combat. I stepped out to regroup with Liu Kang and Kung Lao. The three of us looked at each other, as we're ready for combat. I than looked at Captain Holly, Hyzenthlay, Blackavar, Campion, and Hanzo Hashashi. We were all ready to fight, in the moment our enemies began to charge at us.
