Chapter 53: Disassembling the GUN Part 3: Debrief

All events are happening at the same time

Team Sonic has entered the black comet

Westopolis

After they defeated the black bull. Silver and the other GUN Soldiers are held up the building. They managed to take the block back as a large battalion down on the street are setting up and holding the area. The team including silver are on a rooftop to set up the beacon that lets them control their satellite.

GUN Soldier: "Is it almost ready?"

GUN Soldier: "Yeah it's ready."

Silver: "Excuse me guys, but what exactly are we trying to do?"

GUN Soldier: "We're setting up a beacon that lets us control our space satellites."

Silver: "And do the satellites do?"

GUN Soldier: "There, the hellstorm is online."

Hellstorm

Up above in the heavens of outer space, a dozen of machines come to the united federation. They spread out across the country. Yellow lights turn on. They have a ray looking blaster that has a yellow electric ball at the end. The lights turn green ready for power. They gather solar energy from the sun and start charging. One of them is fully charges and energy growing rapidly. They all start powering down. Shutting down again. They lost the signals.

Westopolis

GUN Soldier: "Dammit."

GUN Soldier: "What's going on?"

GUN Soldier: "We lost the signals."

He starts trying to connect onto his laptop but is can't seem to contact the hellstorm.

Silver: "What's wrong?"

GUN Soldier: "We can't access our satellites."

Silver: "And what do these satellites do?"

GUN Soldier: "They send down an energy beam of destruction. A lot better than a nuke."

General mort comes onto the earpiece of all the units. They put two fingers onto their headsets and hear the general speak.

Mort: "To all units. We have lost signals to the satellites. There are emp's out there messing with our Technology. We need to find out what's disrupting us from connecting to the Hellstorms. We have been getting reports that there are black arm holdouts at locations near the museum of science."

GUN Soldier: "That's 19 blocks away from where we are."

Silver: "I'll go."

GUN Soldiers: "Wait, are you sure you want to go alone?"

Silver: "I can fly there. I'll see what's the problem."

He flies up.

GUN Soldier: "Wait, Here!"

He tosses a small long range radio towards him. He uses his psychic powers and drags towards his hands.

GUN Soldier: "It's on our frequency. We'll meet you up there after we set everything up."

Silver: "Alright guys. I'll scout ahead."

He floats away up ahead towards a bridge and lands.

Silver: "No one's around. Have to stay on the ground so I won't cause to much attention. What's taking them so long?"

He takes out his phone and calls Blaze.

Meanwhile

As a bunch of freedom fighters along with Bunnie, antoine, Rotor, and Blaze are flying in the united federation on choppers. Hundreds of Allies from west side island, acorn, and other countries aiding the united federation. Blaze is flying in with Bunnie, rotor, and antoine towards westopolis until her right thigh starts vibrating. She reaches in and pulls out her phone. Silver is calling. She answers.

Blaze: "Hello?"

Silver: *static* Wher-Ar-

Blaze: "Silver, You're cutting up."

Silver: *static* The Black arms are-

Blaze: "Hello? Silver are you alright?"

Silver: "Yeah im fine, can you here me?"

Blaze: "You were cutting up?"

Silver: "Are you guys on the way?"

Blaze: "With a bunch of help. How are things on your end?"

Silver: "It's bad. Things are getting worst out here."

Blaze: "Where are you?"

Silver: "I'm in westopolis. We're trying to take it back the best we can. I'm around the district area trying to find the source that's jamming our signals."

Blaze: "Stay where you are. I'll be there to help."

Silver: "What?"

Blaze: "I said stay where you are. Hello?"

They disconnect. Blaze puts her phone away and talks to the pilot.

Blaze: "Get us to westopolis!"

Pilot: "Right!"

Bunny looks back and overhears.

Bunnie: "What's at westopolis sug?"

Blaze: "Silver needs help."

They fly towards westopolis.

Westopolis

Silver: "Hello? Blaze hello? Dammit. Gotta find what's jamming these signals."

He walks across the bridge that has cars tipped over. A collapsed chunk of it in the Ditch. A bus on fire. He looks around ready for anything as Gunfire and explosions can be heard in the distance. The sky looks dark and it looks like it's ready to rain. He continues across feeling like he's being watched. A few eyes are looking at him. a shadowy creature runs off as silver barely misses and sees it. He saw something move at the top of a building. He checks his surroundings knowing he's in uncharted territory. He hears a loud noise. A loud roaring noise. He shouldn't follow it but his curiosity continues on. He overhears conversation. He follows the chatter and see's a group of black arms running to his direction. He quickly takes cover behind a car as the group runs past the car.

Silver: "Wonder where they're heading."

He follows the group to a nearby construction site. He peeps around the corner end of an alley to see a construction site. He sees a whole bunch of Black arms scouting and preparing. A whole bunch of trucks and black arms weapons. The entrance is heavily guarded with guards. Two black oaks armored up carrying axes with red saber rays at the end of the blades. A bunch of creepers with their scythes and chains. All scouting the place making sure no one comes in. the unit enters the front gates guarded by the black oaks.

Silver: "Place is heavily guarded. Gotta see what's going on in there."

He looks up at a destroyed gun store next to him.

Silver: "I could probably see on top of this roof. Maybe I could find something useful in here."

He decides to open the door but it's locked. He uses his psychic powers and pry the doors look ripping it off the door. He tries to open the door but it's barricaded.

Silver: "Hm?"

He uses his telekinetic force and blast all the objects and door away that's blocking his path.

Silver: "Hello?"

He steps in and a shotgun shell along with gunshots are Sent towards him.

Silver: "WOAH!"

He immediately uses his psychic powers to stop all the bullets. They slowly reach all around his body and stop immediately. The bullets are a few inches away from him. ones at the center of his forehead. A lot around his chest and legs. A lot that miss are floating around him. He drops the bullets and sees his would be killers. Just regular people. Humans. An old man. 4 men. Two women with 3 children.

Silver: "Wait! I'm not one of them."

Old man: "Find some place else. This is our hiding spot."

Silver: "Im here to help. Why haven't you all left yet?"

Man: "Those things caused a lot of havoc. No one is safe out there."

Man: "Who are you anyway?"

Silver: "I'm silver."

Child: "Mom, what kind of animal is that?"

Silver looks to his right to see the children being held by a woman.

Woman: "Shhh. Not now baby."

Silver: "How long have you been here?"

Old man: "Since the rampage started. These things just came out of nowhere. We heard what was happening across the city and we couldn't leave. It turned into a real nightmare. We decided to barricade and pick up survivors we saw passing by."

*Roaring Sounds*

The white hedgehog and everyone goes silent until the second roar comes in. He looks out the door to see something not good. A loud stomping noise can be heard. Approaching slowly. The loud footsteps can be heard.

Man: "IT'S COMING! BARRICADE THE DOOR AND HIDE!"

Silver uses his powers and blocks the entrance with the door he destroyed. Everyone moves heavy objects to the door barricading it as the noises get closer. Everyone ducks and covers behind something. The children are weeping and the woman covering their mouths. Silver hides next to the old man behind the glass counter full of bullets and guns. The stomping gets closer and closer until it walks on the street. One of it's foots. Silver looks at it and notices it's enormous leg. He notices something. Something flailing around out there. No, A lot of floating eye's are out there. They go float around looking for anything.

Silver: "What are those things?"

Old Man: *Whisper* "Shut up!"

A bottle falls down from one of the men. One of the eyes overhear it.

Man: "crap."

Man: "Great job idiot."

The eye looks at the gun store through the window and everyone ducks. The eye scans the room hoping to spot anyone but doesn't. It floats away along with the giant monster that just left. Silver peeks up and notices nothing.

Silver: "It's gone."

Everyone sighs in relief and stands back up.

Silver: "What the heck was that?"

Old Man: "We don't know and hope not to find out and if we got caught it's big buddy would've flatten this building in seconds."

Silver: "Tell me about the construction site?"

Man: "Nothing but death over there. Seems to be a lot of those Black arm creatures building operations over there."

Silver: "Seems to be important over there."

Man: "We have binoculars. We've seen a lot of things over there. People who are being held captive there. We tried to call for help but something is stopping us from using our cell phones and electronics."

Silver: "Let me see."

Old man: "Follow me."

They walk in the back lounge where there are more people than there were out there. There's a man with a bandaged arm and face. Children crying. A pregnant lady holding her husbands hand.

Silver: "Dammit, those things caused a lot of pain."

Old man: "Hasn't been this bad since the last invasion."

They go onto the stairs and walk up two stories towards the roof. They open the door to see a teenage kid with binoculars and his buddy. They're both old enough to be in high school.

Old man: "The both of you were still up here?"

The kid with binoculars looks back.

Boy: "Ch'yeah. We were keeping watch. We saw that things face."

Old man: "How did it not seed you?"

The other guy rolls in with his garbage can.

Boy 2: "We made these trash cans to good use."

They look and see the carbon bins with two cut holes on the side so they can see.

Old man: "No fucking way?"

Boy: "We hid underneath them. We didn't move and we that things face."

Boy 2: "It was so scary and cool looking."

Silver: "How big was that thing?"

Boy: "Oh man. *chuckling* It was BIG dude. Look!"

He points down towards the ground. A giant footstep smashed within the concrete of the street. Other buildings were flatten by it.

Old man: "Oh no."

Silver: "What did it look like."

Boy: "It didn't even have a face. But it had like this weird hare flailing around along with it's eyes. Hey you crossed the bridge earlier."

Boy 2: "Wait aren't you one of those freedom fighter guys?"

Silver: "Yeah."

Boy: "Hey don't you know the cat lady that controls fire? She's my favorite!"

Silver: "Blaze? Y-yeah."

Boy: "You gotta let us meet her dude. She's so badass."

Boy 2: "Yeah, and don't you know that black hedgehog?"

Silver: "Uhhhh…"

Old man: "Alright enough! How's that construction site?"

Boy: "They definitely got something going on over there. Some crazy shit has been coming from over there."

Silver: "Let me see."

Boy: "Sure follow us."

They walk towards edge next to a building with the apartment building exterior steps.

They jump and grab hold of the bars hop on top of the safe side. Silver looks at the old man.

Old man: "Kids these days."

Silver floats and flies towards them.

Boy: "Woaaaah! You can fly?"

Silver: "Telekinetic. Show me the construction site."

Boy: "We will, but land on the roof of this building. We don't want to cause attention. Especially floating hedgehogs."

Silver goes on ahead to the roof as the boys climb up. They run along pass silver and silver follows. They parkour their way along the buildings. The both frontflip along as silver floats across. They continue to run along the 4 buildings leading to the construction site until they stop and hide behind a big AC Condencer. They take cover. Silver walks up the boys crawl up to the ledge with the binoculars to get a good look. Silver crouches and looks upon enemy territory.

Silver: "Holy Crap."

Boy: "Tell me about it."

It's more than just a sight. It's a military base. Like a new outpost. There are black arm guards everywhere. An armory where they keep their weapons. A bunch of civilians and GUN Agents captured. They drag the GUN Agents towards a black oak with his axe ready.

Boy: "Dude check this out."

He hands the binoculars to silver and he looks at the black oak with the axe. They bend over the female GUN Agent. She can be heard screaming and begging not to kill her to the roof. The boys and silver can see them and hear her execution. The black arm brings it's axe up preparing for the strike. She screeches in a blood curdle.

Boy: "Holy shit dude!"

Construction site

Black arm: "Will someone shut that human up?"

The black arm strikes down decapitating her.

Rooftop

Boy 2: "Oh SHIT!"

Boy: *vomiting*

Silver sits back behind the ledge and bangs his hand on the concrete.

Silver: "DAMMIT!"

Boy 2: "Man. I don't know what you're planning, but you're not stopping that alone."

Silver: "You're right. I won't be able to stop them alone. But I do have friends."

He pulls out his walkie talkie that he received from the sarge from the group he helped take the block earlier.

GUN Setup base of the hospital building they took earlier

There are soldiers all over the place. There's a planning situation board and a map of the city. Showing outpost and areas of the inner city. The squad is tending to the injured and civilians. A helicopter is landed onto the roof of the hospital. They are cleared to land. A cybernetic bunny Exits the chopper along with a purple cat. A soldier from the same squad silver helped walks up as they exit the chopper.

GUN Soldier: "You're here for silver?"

Blaze: "Where is he?"

GUN Soldier: "We just got a call from him few minutes ago. Our sergeant was waiting for you."

Bunnie: "Well, seems like we came just in time."

Antoine and rotor exit the chopper and follow them.

Bunnie: "So our white hedgehog friend was here?"

GUN Soldier: "He's the reason we were able to take back this block and hospital. He's a reliable ally."

Blaze: "Always has been."

GUN Soldier: "He found what has been messing up our comms and signals. Across the slums area there's a construction site where there's a base full of black arms."

They walk down stairs and see a whole battalion setting up. There's an infirmary with civilians tending to each other. Kids injured lying on the floors and matts.

Bunnie: "Well I'll be a damned. It saddens my poor heart to see all these people hurt."

GUN Soldiers: "They're spreading havoc across every city in the united federation. Our only hope is to get those satellites back online."

They go around the corner to see more people and a boy crying over his guardians corpse.

Bunnie: "Oh my stars…"

She sees a man with half of his face almost burned off. A group of boys filming and taking pictures.

Blaze: "They did all of this?"

GUN Sergeant: "Yeah, but don't worry. We're gonna make em pay."

They go down some stairs as rotor and Antoine try to keep up. They walk into the board room where there are 50 GUN Soldiers sitting down listening. They have a projector up showing the construction site with silver. A few slides of the boys picking their nose and selfies of the base and silver.

GUN Soldier: "Our drones have spotted the enemies Holdout of Westopolis. My source has said there something in there heavily guarded. Across in the slums area of Gessner there's a construction site. My source silver the hedgehog spotted it not too long ago. we'll bring in one of our tanks and trucks to push in the stronghold. We have intel of friendlies and civilians being held captive so watch your shots. Whatever is in there is thing stopping us from using our satellites. We manage to get the backup comms. General mort and Abraham called earlier. Whatever is going on up there is far worst than what it is down there and right now we need those satellites up and running. We get those hellstorms online and use it against the black arms and take back the united federation. Any questions?"

A Gun Soldier raises his hand.

GUN Soldier: "Are your sources a couple of snot nose kids and hedgehog?"

GUN Sergeant: "Y-yeah."

GUN Soldier: "We're doomed."

GUN Sergeant: "Shut up."

GUN Soldier: "Can we discuss about the new enemies?"

GUN Soldier: "Yeah. thanks to the intel that the kid Charmy Bee has given us, thanks to his team the chaotix. Again thank you charmy."

The little be buzzing in the corner in a chair eating his bag of chips he manage to snag out of an empty store while the chaos was wrought and he was escorted to safety. He raises his hand,

Charmy: "Your welcome."

Bunnie: "Hey Honey bee."

Charmy: "Hi guys."

They put the flash drive in the computer that the team chaotix stole and gathered. He flips through pictures. New enemies and old ones. He flips the one with the creepers.

GUN Soldier: "Black reprobates. Some of us call them creepers. I hope none of you are afraid of ghost. They have abilities to camouflage. Be careful stealth is their best ally. Their weapon of choice the scyhthe and some chains. Their tricksters. They have the ability to float and fly a bit. Something like out of a horror movie."

While he is explaining the enemies charmy sits next to the crew.

Blaze: "Where are the others?"

Charmy: "I don't know. Im worried about them. last time I saw them was in the jungle. We managed to extract some intel about the black arms and their plans. I'm pretty sure they're okay."

Bunnie: "At least you're alright."

Charmy: "We had to fight a giant spider."

Blaze: "I can believe that."

He flips to the next slide.

GUN Soldier: "Emperors are the new breed of reptiles that the black arms cooked up. Don't take them to be tamed. They're ruthless. They're skin is tough. They have the ability to grow spikes out of there bodies and use them as projectiles. Be careful and try not to get close."

Blaze: "Huh?"

Blaze remembers the mission down in rail canyon with the others. She remembers the emperor she and sonic and the others fought. Shadow had to impale it on a stone pillar down in the lava.

GUN Soldier: "So these freaks have dragons now?"

GUN Soldier: "It's like they came out of a story book."

He flips to a black oak.

GUN Sergeant: "So the black oaks are well known. Seems like they have upgraded. They have armor enhancements. They somehow made level 3 neon scales on their battle axes."

GUN Soldier: "You mean the saber ends. Isn't that stuff illegal."

GUN Soldier: "Yeah. Unless you're registered for that kinda technology. If not you get droned."

GUN Sergeant: "My guess the reason they were robbing all those banks is for the funding to get the equipment and amount of weapons illegally."

Bunnie: "That explains all those darn robbery's."

Rotor: "That also explains the weaponry and planning."

GUN Sergeant: "And furthermore. I don't know what exactly are we getting into. I just got word that the black arms are on the verge of victory. No matter what happens we need to get those hellstorms online as soon as possible. We know there's a large counter emp that's blocking off the way to see inside that outpost. We managed to have the photos as close as we can but can't seem to see what's inside. We are entering enemy territory. You won't be able to use technology or thermal because of the signals. You'll need to go in and find whatever it is and destroy it. We also will be having the heavy artillery waiting. To push in so we can hit those sons of bitches hard."

GUN Soldier: "Hey sarge! Will we be pulling out the suits we been working on?"

GUN Soldier: "Yeah but they won't be helping in the site. it runs on electricity and whatever is jamming would mess up the suits. So be cautious when using them. Hey mobians, we appreciate the assistance in the situation we're on. Will you be helping us?"

Blaze: "We're in."

Bunnie: "We didn't come here for nothing sug."

Antoine: "Comptez-nous." (French)

Rotor: "I'll help with air support guys."

GUN Soldier: "Good."

GUN Soldier: "We leave in 20 minutes everyone. GEAR UP!"

The whole room stands. Three soldiers walk towards the crew.

GUN Soldiers: "Hey. We're the ones who ran into that silver guy. We had contact with him."

Blaze: "Where is he?"

GUN Soldier: "A gun store. Sam's gun range. Its on seegers street."

Antoine: "You both go on ahead. We'll meet you there."

GUN Soldier: "We'll catch up with you guys later. The boss need us."

Blaze: "Right!"

Bunnie: "You'll make it sug?"

Antoine: "ma petit chou-fleur. I'll be right behind you."

Rotor: "Before you go take this."

He hands him a tech he made.

Blaze: "What is it?"

Rotor: "An EMP amp tracker I made. It'll help get close to whatever it is jamming all the technology."

GUN Soldier: "Here. Take this with you."

He gives them ear pieces.

GUN Soldier: "incase if you need to communicate. Or if you get into trouble."

Bunnie: "Thanks sweethearts. Now lets go find silver."

They walk out heading blocks towards seegers street across the bayou bridge.

Charmy: "Good luck guys!"

Sams gun store rooftop

Silver: "Well the guys should be here soon to help us take the construction site and pick you guys up.

Boy: "Awesome, but we want to help out too."

Silver: "No guys. It's dangerous. You'll need to wait here."

Boy 2: "What are you going to do?"

Silver: "I'm going in there."

Boy: "How? There's way too many of them. maybe you should stay with us until help arrives."

Silver: "Sorry guys but we need to hurry. You stay here and hold out."

He hops down off the rooftop in an alley and heads to the direction of the construction site.

Brad: "He's gonna get himself killed."

Josh: "Y'know we could try helping?"

Brad: "How? All we have is these pistols and your shotgun."

Josh: "I saw something earlier that'll help. But lets wait until help arrives."

Construction site

A bunch of black arms are moving and preparing. There's a bunch of dead bodies pilled up or being moved towards a hole. The black arms are forcing prisoners for work and carrying weapons. There's a black arm demon looking figure with short sharp horns and a suit. He's red and purple. It gets a phone call. It brings out it's tail and grabs his phone in his pocket and picks up.

Leviathan: "Yes?"

Despara: "How are things going on in westopolis?

Leviathan: "everything is going according to plan. The humans are bringing in a force to disable the inventions the doctor gave us."

Despara: "Succeed or fail. Either way we still win. Lord Gloom is expecting you to fail."

Leviathan: "I will not. Westopolis will be ours. How are things going on your end?"

Despara: "We're dealing with rats aboard the base. They'll be taken care of."

Leviathan: "I have to get ready. I'll see you soon."

He hangs up and stands abroad above the construction site looking at the ruin city.

Leviathan: "The united federation will collapse soon. Victory is upon us. And the world will be next."
