A/N: Hi all! I'm introducing this girl named Saya. She was the classmate that stood for Mamori in the early chapters when she was betrayed by her "friends". Saya is a made up character for the purpose of this fanfic. I am feeling too lazy to describe her in narration so here are her details:

Name: Saya

Nationality: Japanese

Height: 5'2

Hairstyle: A version of pixie cut like that of Maria (the manager of Hakushu dinosaurs)

Hair color: Silky black

Eye color: Black (Dark Brown)

Skin color: Fair

Figure: Just like Mamori's but Mamori's breasts are bigger. Kekeke.

Preferred color of clothing: Black, gray, white

TalithaSapph: Kekeke. Never underestimate the silent ones and the wierdos. Haha. I'll be revealing more of Agon in the next chapter. And yep, I could finally breathe without the pest imposing on me. Hahaha.

GreenChariot221: Indeed. Agon is a blessed fuckboy so it's time to punish him. Lol. I'll be tormenting Agon for now in place of Hiruma. Hahaha. And yep, the "human leech", I was so relieved to have a peaceful sleep for once. Just imagine I even had to cook breakfast and dinner for that leech. I don't why I was able to put up with that. That person is not even a friend. Just an acquaintance or should I say someone I met at work. We were not even close to being friends.

Lady Yori: Haha. Glad you like it. I got the idea from seeing it in Sports anime. Teammates often get deadly jealous of those who have girlfriends or the like. I haven't watched Grand blue yet. Maybe I'll watch it later since it seems like they have nice animation. And yep, Kakei does fit in with the hot guys. Sadly he went to the other team. It would be bad for the girls too if all hot guys went to the same school. Hahaha.

Thanks. Without the freeloader, I finally have time to write. I'm safe and sound keke. Stay safe and healthy wherever you are too. News of more human troubles keep popping up day in and day out that the future seem a bit worrying.

V: Yes, took me some time to write again. Hiruma often tops the lists so I thought of rotating it. Kekeke. Glad you're still here. Watch out for more chapters. Yes, it seems there really are people like that. I went stress-eating in various restaurants to vent it all out. I even worked-out after. Hahaha. I'm fine now.

GreenChariot221: It's ok. Haha. That can't be helped. Hiruma's a lucky guy indeed. But he worked hard for it. It is indeed quite not easy to find a woman who understands your passion especially when it comes to sports. I'm happy to see that there are still readers around. Keep on checking. I'll try to update more often. Kekeke.

Chapter 54: Saya

Saya was annoyed. She thought her college life would be peaceful but apparently not. The term had just started and yet she could already see eyesores. There were these two rich spoiled brats in her class and they were an annoyance. They acted like they were the leader or more like the boss of everyone in class. Apparently, they haven't gotten over their high school habits. They pretended to be nice to get everyone's approval.

Moreover, there was this girl called Mamori which became friends with the brats. It was quite obvious that they were using her for her brains but she doesn't seem to notice despite being so smart. This Mamori girl got along well with everyone in class. Surprisingly, this Mamori girl even noticed Saya and talks to her every now and then.

It was a first for Saya since ever since high school, she had been laying low. She avoided being noticed since she didn't want to be bothered. No one bothered to talk to her and they might not even recall being in the same class as her. Just the way she wanted.

This Mamori girl was quite interesting for Saya so she kept on observing her. Saya noticed that apparently, Mamori was not only kind, she was almost perfect. But she was also dense. A lot of their male classmates were trying to be noticed by her but Mamori don't notice them at all. But maybe that's because she was busy since she was a manager in the University American Football club. And there was also this dangerous punk-looking guy with piercings that always picked her up. Saya concluded that he must be her boyfriend. She discovered later on that he was also in the football team. Why someone like Mamori would date a guy like that, she doesn't know. Maybe it's the "good girls fall in love with bad boys" syndrome.

The two spoiled brats talked behind Mamori's back and Saya often listened in. They were envious of Mamori and their insecurities continued to pile up day by day. It increased most especially when they discovered how there were so many adorable men in the football team and Mamori knew them all.

Saya couldn't help but laugh at them. They were so childish, she thought. They were obviously intimidated by Mamori's natural glow. She outshined them in almost every aspect except for money matters, perhaps.

Saya once thought that Mamori was being friendly to everyone for ulterior motive. But the more time that passed, Saya realized that she wasn't. Mamori was just a beautiful soul indeed. She was truly nice and she wasn't pretending. Mamori was honest and does what she thinks is right and that made her all the more likeable.

There was one time when Saya "accidentally" bumped into one of the brats since they were talking behind Mamori's back again. Saya apologized but they were so angry and the one she bumped splashed juice at her. Her clothes got soaked and she was planning to make a scene, pretend crying and getting bullied, and play the victim so the two would be held accountable. But Mamori arrived and apologized to Saya profusely for what her "friends" did. She also chastised the brats for overreacting. Mamori then offered to lend Saya her extra clothes. Saya took that opportunity.

"Why do you hang out with those bitches?"

"What do you mean? We're friends," Mamori smiled.

"They talk behind your back you know," Saya said in wonder. She had long concluded that Mamori was naive.

"Mm. That's alright. I don't know what they say but it's okay. Even among your friends, you may have traits that are not likeable to them and vice versa. And that's fine. I know they may be mean to other people sometimes but they were just misguided." Mamori got a peek at how their family treats them so she understood them. Saya knew as well since she did some digging but to her, it was no excuse.

"You're saying it's not their fault?"

"It's not about who is at fault. It's a matter of accepting them no matter who and what they are. They get along with me just fine so I have no complaints."

"You're naive you know. They might stab you in the back someday."

"Then I'll just have to decide what to do when that time comes. But hopefully it doesn't."

"Tch. Consider yourself warned," Saya said in annoyance and left after wearing Mamori's extra clothes which she returned the next day. They got along better after that and Saya wondered if she is now one of Mamori's friends.

The time of revelation came when the brats tried to ruin Mamori in the research team. Saya herself had joined that research team as well. The shock on Mamori's face that time clearly said that she had trusted the brats and did not expect them to do something like that to her. Saya knew she must have felt really bad so she was about to talk to her after the event but Mamori had quickly rode a cab alone and went home. Perhaps to cry her frustration out. Saya sighed. "I did warn you," she thought. Somehow it pained her to see such a kind girl get betrayed like that. She knew from experience that getting betrayed by people you trusted was the most painful. That day, Saya resolved that she would protect Mamori from those bitches. After all, she was the only one who noticed her presence in their class.

To Saya's annoyance, Mamori even forgave the brats. She just warned them not to do it again to her or to anyone else. She gave them a good lecture like a mother does to her kids. The brats got even more annoyed at Mamori's temperance but they couldn't do anything anymore since people got to know what they did and they were branded as traitors. They did pretend to ask forgiveness and act like they were truly sorry in order to mend their reputation. With that, Mamori's constant companion became Saya and later on the class representative joined as well.

On their second year, Mamori's admirers only increased. There were more people envious of her of course, but they couldn't do anything anymore since her so called boyfriend was popular of being a person you wouldn't want to cross. Mamori repeatedly denied to Saya and the others though that Hiruma was not her boyfriend.

Recently, people had been stalking Mamori. Saya had noticed the stalkers herself so she never left Mamori's side until her "escorts" from the football team or that Hiruma guy came to pick her up. Saya pretended to not have noticed though and just silently cooperated to protect Mamori.

However, to Saya's annoyance, it was not only Mamori that was getting stalked. Saya herself was getting stalked by a really prominent figure and he wasn't even trying to hide the fact that he had been following her. It was infuriating. She had to avoid him at all cost since he was an annoying guy.
