Chapter 54 – Luke and Leia

1 month later:

Luke was in his apartment, taking notes from the books he got from Ben's Hut, last year, when he was there and built his lightsaber. He decided to bring them, and he took a lot of notes from them. Making his own journals, leaving them to his son and daughters. He smiled at that thought. He couldn't wait to meet his boy and in the future to make his twins with Ines. Still didn't know what importance his kids would have for the galaxy, but he would trust the force and in time it would show him.

Right now, Ines was taking a small nap. Being 8 months pregnant, she started to get too tired, and her back hurt a lot lately, since their baby was getting bigger. Not to mention the Braxton Hicks started to get a little stronger, indicating that the big day was getting closer.

Sighing, he close his journal, and rubbed his eyes.

Since he had the talk with his father, he had in mind one thing: He wanted to go to Naboo, his mother home planet. He wanted to visit her grave and meet his maternal family.

He also decided to started to open his new Academy soon, and he was thinking to talk to Kino and Davi parents, after the trip to Naboo.

Yes, he would start to find force sensitive people and start training. It was time. But now it was Naboo and his family from his mother side that he wanted to meet and he needed to talk to Leia about it.

Standing up and heading to his bedroom, he put his books away

"Luke?" he heard

"Hey, I thought you were sleeping"

"Almost" she said.

Luke head to his bed and sat next to her.

"I'm going to see Leia. So don't worry if you wake up and I'm not here."

"It is okay. Will you talk to her about your mother?"

"Yes."

"Okay. I will try to sleep a little" she said. Nodding, Luke pulled the covers on top of her and kissed the top of her head, and looking at R2 he asked him

"R2, take care of them for me"

The droid beeped as Luke left the apartment and head to his sister, just below his.

Leia was heading around in her apartment. Today she decided to stay at her apartment, and not go the senate. She was not in the mood, and Han being away didn't help it either.

"Ma'am are you sure you know how to do this?" 3PO asked, when Leia was trying to follow a recipe from an holo.

She looked at the protocol droid

"Are you saying I can't do this on my own"

"Your Highness, you know the possible of success of a meal ending fantastic from someone who never cooked before is 48697 to 1"

"3PO never tell me the odds" she looked at him "How hard could it be? Even Ines can cook now and she never even fried an egg before. So why can't I?"

"Maybe because Master Luke was always a great cook and taught well" 3PO replied

Leia looked at the golden droid. She was this close to shut him down. Before she could open her mouth, a voice came behind her

"Well thanks 3PO for the kind words. But apart from helping my uncle in the farm, I also liked to watch my aunt cooking and I learned a lot with her."

Leia looked behind and smiled

"Luke. You came in the right time. I need your help with this, please?"

Luke smiled and got closer to her, reading the recipe:

"Nerf Noddles?"

"I was thinking started with a simple one, first."

"Where's Han?" Luke asked

"Ackbar sent him and Chewie to Tatooine getting some supplies from it. Like the herb you saved Ines months ago"

"To Tatooine? Why he didn't call me? I'm the right one. I know more about my home planet than him"

"Well first, Han was a smuggler so in a way he can negotiate a little better than you" Leia looked at him

"Excuse me. Who made Admiral Hickory from the Bodi system to give himself away?" Luke said crossing his arms and looked at his sister.

"Using Jedi mind trick doesn't count"

"I didn't use it. Jedi mind tricks only work on the weak mind. That was not that man's case."

Leia sighed

"But the other reason was that Ines is a 4 weeks to give birth and he thought you didn't want go" she told him "Ines can't be alone but I can" she whispered making Luke smile at her.

He knew why Leia said that. He may had pass by without notice Ines condition in the beginning but since that, he got more attentive.

"Come on let's make this recipe" he said, making Leia smile.

For the next hour, the Luke helped Leia to make the noodles. After done, they sat by the table.

"So?" Leia asked him

"You did great. It is your first step into a larger world, of cooking. Maybe I should open a cooking Academy instead of a Jedi" he laughed.

"That is not a bad idea." she laughed "How is Ines?"

"Taking a nap. But the baby is growing healthy and stronger" he smiled and looking at Leia, he decided to talk about what it brought him there. "Leia, remember back in Endor, when I asked you about our mother?"

"Yes, of course. Why?"

Luke looked at her

"I know who our mother was"

Leia gasped.

"What do you mean? How?"

"It was on the day I got the herb" he started and told Leia everything that happened that night, and the talk he and Ines later had with her. Leia couldn't believe what Luke was telling her.

"Are you saying that you and Ines, are living in our real mother's apartment all this time, without knowing? Luke that is so surreal"

"I know. I saw our birth. Your father was there and so was Ines's. We still have family from our mother's side back on Naboo. Our grandparents are still alive."

"So what do you plan to do?"

"I would like to be able to go to Naboo and talk to the Queen. I'm sure she knows about our mother. Maybe she knows where our grandparents live. I want to meet them. They deserve to know that their grandchildren are alive. I also want to visit our mother's grave too"

Leia grabbed Luke's hand.

"I wish I could go with you, but this time it very complicate with the Senate and…" she started but stopped.

Luke looked at Leia.

"Leia, when you will tell Han?"

Leia gasped and looked at her brother

"About?"

"About? Come on Leia. You are talking to someone whose wife is pregnant. I learned to know when someone is pregnant."

"Since when you know?"

"Since the moment I hugged 3 weeks ago and I felt a life inside you."

"3 weeks? That is the how far I am right now"

"Exactly. Han needs to know"

"I don't know how he will react? What if he thinks he is not the type of guy that wants to be a father?"

"Leia. Han loves you. I know and you know and everyone knows. I'm sure he will be shocked but he will be happy too. Trust me" he said smiling and standing up he kissed her forehead.

"Thanks Luke. Maybe I needed that from a father to be?"

"If he scares about how to deal with the news, tell him to talk to me. I'm an expert on the subject." he laughed. "If you need anything, just go upstairs. Ines can also help you with your new condition"

"Thanks. I'm lucky to have both of you"

"You are my family. Bye my sister"

"Bye my brother" and watching Luke leaving, Leia knew he was right. When Han returned from Tatooine she would tell him she was caring his child.

So Luke told Leia about their mother. And Leia is 3 weeks pregnant? What will be Han's reaction.
