~ Chapter Fifty-Four~
The New Avalon
The Avalonian party was much different than the ones her father put on in Hel.
There weren't any sex slaves or crude and vulgar dancing, but instead, it was fun and enjoyable. The room was packed with food, drink, music, and laughter. All the Gargoyle clans were in attendance, and as were the few humans who were a part of this journey and life.
Oberon announced hers and Brooklyn's arrival shortly after arriving, and everyone bowed before them then. At first, Brooklyn wore a shy but nervous smile, but now, after an hour of it, he was soaking up the attention a little too much.
She and Brooklyn stayed by each other's side most of the hour, talking to all manner of creatures, Gargoyles, including Queen Titania and Lord Oberon themselves.
When people weren't admiring her beautiful dress and stunning beauty, they were gushing over her growing stomach. In the form-fitting dress, her baby bump was more prevalent than ever.
Brooklyn kept his arm around her waist and smiled happier than she'd seen in a long time, especially when they brought up her pregnancy. Whenever Rose cupped her stomach and thanked them for their kind words, she swore she was glowing with joy, as well.
They made the rounds between the different Children and Oberon's court until they reached the Gargoyle clans.
When they reached the Ishimura clan, Kai instantly found them, bowed before them, and engaged them in conversation.
Stories were shared about their experiences from last night, and Rose listened with interest and intrigue. She was grateful to hear everyone's point-of-view over what was initially a difficult night but then changed into a miracle. She was delighted to see everyone reunited and celebrating second chances.
Celebrating life.
Rose's senses were hyper-aware of what was going on all around her, and while she had grown used to it, she jumped slightly when someone squealed loudly behind her.
"Holy, Gods! You look better than I could have possibly imagined! Oh, Rose! You are stunning!"
Rose turned around, rested her hand on her chest, and patted Brooklyn's arm, telling him that all was alright when he too jumped.
She sighed in relief to find it was only Ilana.
"Thank you!" Rose smiled at her then ran her hands down the sparkling dress. "It's your creation after all, and it is I who should be thanking you. It's truly a vision, Ilana. You have incredible talent. If anyone asked me to make a dress, I would end up dressing in a garbage bag or something. I'm not a talented seamstress."
"Oh, but why should you be when you are a goddess who makes someone else's art come to life?" Ilana was grinning from ear-to-ear and placed her hand upon her chest in awe. "You look amazing, Rose! I'm glad you love it!"
"I do," Rose said kindly, hugging her again. "Thank you for making this for me."
"You're very welcome."
"Yeah, well done, Ilana," Brooklyn complimented before winking at her. "You've made my mate look like her true self. The beautiful goddess I've always known her to be."
Rose smiled lovingly at him, and Ilana teared up.
"Gods, you guys are too sweet to me and each other. Thank you."
Rose chuckled. "Go on and enjoy the party, Ilana. Okay? For once, you're no one's slave-girl or handmaiden. Forever and always, you are my friend and deserve to take care of yourself and do what makes you happy. Alright?"
Ilana nodded. "I will, thank you."
They hugged again, and Rose kissed her on the side of her head. "Go find your sisters and dance. Dance for yourselves and enjoyment."
Ilana smiled at her, pulled away, and walked into the crowd.
"Well," Kai added back into the conversation they were having, "this night has been wonderful, but myself and my clan are probably going to venture back home. We've celebrated, we've said our hello and goodbyes, but we wanted to personally come and thank you both for what you've done before we leave."
Rose stepped forward and hugged him.
"It has been a genuine pleasure to meet you, Kai. Thank you for coming to help fight. Thank you for all of your brave warrior's help and for raising the most amazing daughter." Rose glanced over at Akira, who was dancing with Lexington, laughing, and grinned at the sight. "She's a gem in our Clan."
"It was hard to watch her go," Kai said, nodding. "But, after meeting Goliath… I knew she was in good hands, and Lexington is…" he chuckled and shook his head, "he's one smart and nurturing lad. He and Akira make beautiful mates." Brooklyn and Rose nodded in agreement before Kai added, "as do you two. Rose, you may not be a Gargoyle… but you are one of us. A warrior, through and through."
"Thank you," Rose said, grinning. She then pumped her wings slightly and looked over at them. "It helps that I can fly now."
Kai chuckled and nodded. "It's true. Well, I thank you both for what you've done for all of us… and I congratulate you both on your exciting addition. It'll be interesting to see what the first Gargoyle hybrid species will look like."
Rose cupped her stomach. "He'll be a shape-shifter and will have the opportunity to either look like a Gargoyle, like his father or like me as either a Fae or Human. Our son will have all capabilities."
"A son?" Kai raised his eye bones at them. "You say this confidently as if you already know what the child will be and look like?"
"That's because we do," Brooklyn said, holding Rose close to him, both grinning brightly. "We met him in the Underworld."
"Magnificent!" Kai breathed. "Well, it sounds like this child will truly be a miracle! I'm thrilled for you both and will look forward to getting updates from your clan."
Brooklyn bowed his head deeply. "Thank you, Kai. Best wishes to you and yours. We'll hopefully reconvene soon."
Kai shook his claw- then grinned, "not too soon, I hope."
Brooklyn chuckled and shook the claws of other Ishimura members when Rose suddenly felt a presence approach her from behind. She didn't recognize his scent, but he moved similarly to how she walked and held herself. She heard the feather-light scraping of wings along the cobble-stone floors and knew who it was.
"Goddess Rose, my greetings to you and your mate."
A deep, low, and quiet voice followed those words, and when she turned around, the leader of the New Olympians stood before her.
Boreas.
He bowed deeply before her, and when he straightened up, his white eyes lingered on Brooklyn, who had turned to greet him.
"Brooklyn… is it?"
"I am," Brooklyn said, reaching his claw out and shaking Boreas's large hand. "And you are Boreas? Leader of the New Olympians?"
"That is me." Boreas smiled at them both. "It's a genuine honor to meet the both of you for the first time finally. I've known Goliath, Angela, your beast, and the human, Elisa, well since their journey into New Olympia, but haven't met the two hero's who've saved all of our lives." He bowed again. "It's an honor. Thank you for what you've done for all of us."
"Eh," Brooklyn teased, waving his words away. Having heard hundreds of similar expressions of gratitude since arriving at the party. "It was nothing; really, it just cost us… everything…"
Boreas laughed at his sarcasm and nodded. "I'm sure it did, but I'm thankful it all turned out alright in the end."
"Me too, Boreas." Brooklyn held Rose to his side, smiling. "Me too."
Boreas smiled once at him, then turned his attention to Rose and stared at her. "Rose… has anyone told you that you are a divine sight to behold?"
Laughing, she teased, "uh, no. I have heard beautiful, stunning, amazing, magnificent, uh… exquisite, even, but I haven't yet heard divine." She then grinned at him as Brooklyn snorted out a laugh beside her. "But, thank you for your kind words."
"Hey, I was thinking it," Brooklyn added.
Boreas chuckled at him. "I have no doubt you were. Well, I have come here because since the night is young, and the music is perfect... Brooklyn, I was wondering if I may please borrow your mate for a dance?"
Rose felt Brooklyn stiffen slightly beside her, and as if sensing his hesitation, Boreas added, "just one dance, and then I'll have your lovely wife back in your arms in no time."
"Uh…" Brooklyn looked down at her with uncertainty, then said slowly, "sure. I mean, I was hoping to have the first dance with her, but we have all night to do that. So, I guess I don't have an issue with it- but it's really up to her."
Boreas nodded, then held out a hand to her. "May I please have this dance then, milady?"
Rose froze inside, and though part of her wasn't afraid of dancing, she was slightly hesitant to go with a stranger. Swallowing down the nerves, she smiled and nodded.
"Um, sure." She took his hand, then turned to look at Brooklyn. "I'll see you in a little bit, my love."
"I call dibs for the next song," he said, winking at her.
She smiled at him but then couldn't help but catch the slightly jealous glance as Boreas led her through the crowds towards the center of the dance floor. She and he hadn't had a chance to dance yet, as the moment they arrived, they had been hounded upon by everyone in attendance. And while it was alright with her, Rose felt more comfortable in smaller, more intimate settings and was longing to go back to a private place- where it was just she and Brooklyn.
Boreas spun her around, making her gasp out in shock, pulling her from her thoughts. He then pulled her close and rested his hand upon her waist.
"Uh, Boreas, I have to admit something here," Rose instantly said when he began to lead her in a slightly complex waltz. "I'm uh… a terrible dancer and always had two-left feet when I was in my human, shape-shifted form. So, if I step on your feet or… something… just know that you've been warned, and that... I'm sorry."
Boreas laughed but spun her around in a gentle twirl before gathering her waist again. "Duly noted, dear, but I am not worried about it. The man usually leads the dance anyway."
"That never mattered," Rose said nervously. "I still did very poorly."
Boreas chuckled again and simplified the steps for her. "You seem to be doing just fine…" he paused, and they danced to the soft, string quartet of music for a few seconds before he said, "so, you said that you used to be a… Human? Explain that one to me."
Rose did.
She told him hers and Brooklyn's story, which was all one, in the same, and caught him up to who she was now. Boreas listened the whole time, dancing with her, and before she knew it, two dances had passed by.
"Hmm," Boreas finally said when she was finished talking, "so you were never truly a human but are a full-blooded Fae. That is… that is very interesting to be a child of all worlds." He smiled then. "Your love story is beautiful, but yet, a very peculiar one. See, my people are human hybrids to what they call 'Greek Mythology,' and our relationship with them ended poorly. We have not seen humans for over a thousand years."
"Sounds like things are changing, ever-so-slightly, then," Rose said. "I mean, look at the Humans here. That proves that not all humans are horrible. That is something the Gargoyles are finding out." She then shrugged. "That is what Brooklyn quickly found out, and he was the weariest of humans out of the whole Clan."
Boreas raised an eyebrow at her. "And then he married one."
"That's right."
Boreas smiled and lowered his gaze to her abdomen. "Congratulations about your child, speaking about you two. I was impressed when I heard you fought the front lines of this war while pregnant. That is a dangerous and difficult thing to accomplish. But, I take it that things are well?"
"Very," Rose said, smiling.
"Good. I'm happy that mother and child are healthy."
"Thank you."
The music died down, but he didn't stop dancing with her. Rose blinked in shock but politely kept dancing with him until another song began. She looked over her shoulder for Brooklyn but didn't see him.
"It's an interesting story you've told me about your mother, Hela," Boreas suddenly said, pulling her back to their conversation.
"Did you know her?"
"Well, no," he said softly, "just heard rumors about the afeared and ruthless Goddess of Death, from legends and such. See, myself and my people steered clear from our Avalon neighbor, at all costs. For many years, Lord Oberon and I haven't necessarily seen eye-to-eye, and our relationship was best at a distance."
"Yeah," Rose chuckled, nodding. "That seems to be a pretty common reaction to how Oberon acted, but hopefully, things should be better now. I mean, he's already acting a lot nicer."
"He is. No doubt because of you."
"Oh, I don't know about that," Rose said, trying to be modest. "I think he just needed a second chance to make things right, and now that he has, the effort is all him. Not me."
Boreas nodded solemnly. "Well, hopefully, things can continue to be in peace."
Rose smiled, nodded, and looked over her shoulder again. She didn't know how much longer she would be Boreas's dance partner and wondered where Brooklyn was. She didn't have a chance to look for him when Boreas suddenly spun her around in a circle.
"I know it's only been two dances, but you are, in fact, a wonderful dancer, Rose. You're very light and graceful," he complimented her lightly.
Rose blushed slightly. "Um… thank you."
"I'm not sure if you knew this or not, but your wings should help with that skill. All the people in my City who have wings are excellent dancers. There's something about needing to be one with the air, and your body, that moving on the ground that makes dancing not so different."
Rose noted his hint, then asked, "Do any of your people have feathered wings, like yourself?"
Boreas nodded. "Some. Though many do not have powers as I do…" he paused, then added, "as we do."
Rose frowned slightly. "We?"
"Yes," Boreas said slowly. "This is what I've been meaning to talk to you about since I first heard about you, Rose. When I heard that you were Hela's daughter and both had strong feathered wings, similar to mine, I strongly believed that you were part of my bloodline."
"Bloodline?" Rose asked in shock, then thought to herself. What on Earth is he talking about?
"When your mother told you about her past, did she mention anything about her biological father?" Boreas asked her.
Rose shook her head. "No. I only saw a Fae woman, who looked a lot like Titania, in her memories. A single- mother, if you will. But, I instantly noticed that Hela… I mean… Helena had black hair, tan skin, and black wings. A much different looking Fae than Titania is."
Boreas nodded. "That is because my father, Astraeus, who is the father of the wind and astrology, is your mother's biological father."
Rose stopped dancing and stared at him in utter shock.
"What?"
"That's right," Boreas said gently. "My father, opposed to me, had black hair and black wings. He was powerful and loved his wife, my mother, with all his heart. However, many, many years ago, there was a time when they were separated. I was a young babe at the time, but as I grew older, I found out that my father ventured to Avalon to escape New Olympia for a while, met a beautiful Fae woman, and had a bit of a love affair with her. It ended shortly after it began because my father realized that he still loved my mother and returned to New Olympia. I don't think he knew that he impregnated the Fae woman with your mother."
Rose's eyes went wide as saucers. Did her mother know anything about this?
"Are you saying that your father is my mother's biological father?" She asked him slowly, and he nodded again.
"That is exactly what I'm saying."
Rose couldn't believe it. Staring at Boreas, she always wondered why they looked so similar, and while he didn't have the pointed ears that she did, pretty much everything else was identical.
Rose contemplated his words and thought back on her mother's memories. "If… that's the case, and your father broke her mother's heart, then that explains why she was always so cruel to my mother as a child!" She gasped, realizing the truth. "She treated my mother like trash and even trimmed her wings every time she did something bad!" Rose stopped, then thought about it some more. "That must have been because Hela reminded her about your father!"
Boreas shrugged. "I don't know all of your mother's story, but if the Fae woman treated Hela terribly for that reason, it would make sense. My father was a bit of a heart-breaker. Hela's mother must have hated her resemblance to him. The reminder of her broken heart."
Yes, it all made sense now.
But Rose still couldn't believe it. She pieced it all together, then.
"So, this means that if your father is my mother's biological father… then that technically makes you my…"
"Uncle?" Boreas said. "Yes. Your mother was technically my half-sister, though I never knew that until recently."
Rose's mouth dropped open, and she had to shut her eyes and shake her head. Processing this news was a lot.
"So, that makes me your full-blooded niece as well as Titania's?" Rose stopped and thought about this mind-blowing discovery as Boreas nodded.
"Wow," Rose gasped. "I mean, I kind of had a hunch that I was a plethora of bloodlines, inter-mixed into one being, but it turns out that I'm Greek, Nordic, and an adopted Celtic." She paused, shook her head, then teased, "You know, you Third Race people need to discover the powerful technology of birth control. There are too many inter-relations going on here."
Boreas laughed but then poked her arm. "You're one to talk, miss-reproducing- with- a- species- completely- out-of- your- own. My father at least picked another Third Race woman to…"
"Bang?" Rose added dryly, and Boreas snorted.
"Yes... I suppose that is an accurate way to describe what happened."
Rose continued to laugh, and Boreas spun her around again. To her surprise, she never tripped over her feet or dress and had never been this graceful before.
Boreas smiled at her and her newfound confidence. "See? You're a beautiful dancer, Rose. It must run in the family."
Family.
She didn't realize that she could have so much of one from all corners of the world. From all realms of magicks.
"Gosh, this is so weird," Rose whispered, shaking her head as he brought her back to him, "I cannot believe how things have turned out. I mean, I went from having no one and nothing as a Human to being in a lonely and abusive marriage, to meeting Brooklyn, his Clan… and now, to this." She looked up at the glorious dance hall, all of the people she loved and cared about in the room. "It's crazy and thoroughly boggles my mind."
"What? To be related to more people than you realized?"
Rose snorted. "Well, yeah, that I guess… but…" she stopped and had to bite her lip from getting too emotional. Blinking back tears, she finally said, "to no longer be alone in this world."
Boreas smiled kindly at her. "You will never be alone and never were. However, I know first hand that feeling and how cruel humanity can be." He stopped, gently caressed the back of his hand over her cheek. "But, I'm also learning that mankind carries the very best of us." He smiled tenderly at her. "Never lose your kind and empathetic Human heart, Rose. It may very well be the best part of you."
"I couldn't agree more." Brooklyn's voice joined in suddenly.
Behind her, Rose both felt within her soul-bond and sensed Brooklyn's presence as he walked up beside them. He was smiling at them both, but there was a fire within his eyes that she instantly knew as jealousy.
A silent laugh fell off her lips as she shook her head at him.
If only he knew who Boreas was to her now, he wouldn't need to be jealous.
Brooklyn offered his claw to her, which she took, and he pulled her to his side while continuing to eye Boreas with slight coldness.
"If you don't mind, Boreas, I'm going to take my wife back now," Brooklyn said softly. "I think three dances is more than fair enough."
"Oh yes, of course," Boreas said. "I am sorry, Brooklyn. Rose and I talked about some important things, and I lost track of time. So, I'll say adieu to you both and leave you to have the rest of the night together." He then took Rose's hand, lifted it to his lips, and kissed it.
Being this close to Brooklyn, she could feel that he was holding himself back from pounding Boreas into the ground, and Rose had to bite her lip to hold back her laugh.
"Thank you for the dance, Rose," Boreas said kindly. "I hope that you and Brooklyn come to visit New Olympia soon. You both would be welcomed whole-heartedly in my home anytime."
"I'm sure we would," Brooklyn replied, a bit coldly. "We'll put that right on our traveling bucket list."
"Brooklyn-" Rose warned quietly, but half of her was trying not to laugh. Boreas, however, bowed before him and paid his angry tone no heed. Backing away, he smiled at her once more, then walked away.
With him gone, Rose could feel how irritated Brooklyn was, but the reason why was too hilarious to her.
"Sweetheart," she said softly, turning to face him, "there's no need to jump to conclusions here. The situation is not what you think it is." She paused and snorted. "Believe me."
"No?" Brooklyn instantly argued, crossing his arms over his chest. "I don't know, Rose, from where I stood, he was sure laying his crush on you quite thick."
A laugh built in her throat. "Um, Brooklyn…"
"No, no, I mean, I get it. You are a stunningly divine woman, Rose; I know this. Hell, I know this better than any of these jokers here, okay? No one has to tell me that to convince me as to how appealing you are. However, I have to take a stand here. Okay? You are my mate and are carrying my child within your womb-"
"My love…" The hilarity was building, and Rose was trembling from holding her laughter in. But he wasn't having any of it.
"-I mean, sure, he may be a muscular, handsome, and powerful Lord with similar wings to you. You undoubtedly deserve to be with someone like that and the fact that he even looks like you. I don't blame you for allowing him the chance with you…"
"Oh my gosh, Brooklyn," Rose laughed, clamping a hand over her mouth now, "stop this, right now. I can't even…"
"- but by the third dance, I have to admit I was having a hard time watching him run his hands all over you without wanting to rip him a new one."
A laugh escaped her mouth. "Boreas was not-"
"Oh, please, Rose," Brooklyn snapped angrily, looking hot and bothered. "He wasn't even trying to hide the fact that he-"
"-he's my Uncle?" Rose cut in, waiting for him to catch on and realize just how hilarious his jealous outburst was.
"Yeah, that he's… wait… what?"
Brooklyn's face was priceless, and Rose couldn't help herself as she tipped her head back and laughed. Her laugh carried over the room's loud chatter and even the music, but she laughed and couldn't seem to stop. Holding her side, she bent over, clamped her hand over her mouth, and stared at him as tears streamed down her face.
Brooklyn, however, didn't move and just kept staring at her.
"He… he's your-?"
"Un-cle," Rose enunciated, trying to calm her laughing. "That's why he and I look so similar to each other. It's because he's related to me, not because he's a…" she snorted and burst out laughing again, "suitor!"
When Brooklyn looked confused still, Rose placed her hands on his arms and told him the entire story. By the end of it, his eyes were just as wide as hers was when she found out.
"He's your uncle?" He gasped, now catching on to the hilarity of his reaction, finally.
"Uh-huh," Rose laughed, wiping her tears away, "and you thought that he…" she couldn't continue and burst out laughing again, but this time, Brooklyn joined her. Tipping his head back, he roared with laughter. Many people glanced over in their direction but smiled at them and their laughter.
Brooklyn was in hysterics, and Rose swore she was about to pee herself. She had to grip him by the shoulder to stay upright.
"I'm so sorry," he laughed, pulling her into his arms and holding her close, "Gods, I am such an idiot and am so quick to jealousy!" He looked down at her. "Can you forgive me?"
"There's nothing to forgive," Rose laughed, holding him close. "You are absolutely adorable when you are jealous, and this honestly took the cake. I cannot believe you were that jealous of him!"
"Well, can you blame me?" Brooklyn asked, looking uncomfortable still. "I watched a powerful Lord come over and steal you away for three dances, holding you close, and then stood there, dumbfounded, as he caressed a hand down your face, like so-"
He then did what Boreas did to her, and a laugh burst from her lips again.
"He was comforting me!"
Brooklyn laughed. "I bet he was…"
"Ew, Brooklyn! You know what? No more out of you, mister!" Brooklyn barked out a laugh as she continued to laugh, "you weren't there and didn't know what we were talking about."
"Oh, I don't need to be, darling. His body language said it all."
"Ew, would you…" Rose gave up and tipped her head back, laughing. This was too good- and was something they both would never forget.
"Okay, okay, but on a serious note, how do you think Hela would have responded to this news?" Brooklyn suddenly asked her, and her laughing faltered slightly.
"Oh, gosh, she'd… I don't know. She would either be super pissed or would think it would be hilarious. I'm honestly not sure. According to those memories, she wasn't particularly fond of her mother treating her poorly, and if it was Boreas's father's fault… then… I don't know."
"Yeah," Brooklyn said, "still, it must be nice to know where you come from, you know? Your biological family. I know you were always wondering that."
"Yeah," Rose said, sighing. "That's actually why I told Boreas my story, why we danced for so long. He felt bad that I had to deal with Kevin." She stopped and suddenly felt emotional again. Her voice shook as she relayed to her mate what she told Boreas. "He then comforted me when I told him… that as I looked around this room of family, friends, and loved ones… and I finally don't feel... alone. I finally feel like I'm loved, cherished, and safe."
Brooklyn calmed down now and was looking down into her face with a tender expression. Rose took a shaky breath and wiped a tear away.
"He then told me that we are family and that I was no longer alone… and I…" she smiled at him and pulled herself closer to his face, "and I finally realized how true that was. That's all the 'touching' you saw out of us." A laugh fell off her lips again. "Nothing more."
Brooklyn stayed silent for a few seconds, smiling at her, and slowly began to sway her to the music. He then caressed the back of his palm across her cheek, mimicking Boreas.
"There, there…" he laughed, "everything will be alright."
Grabbing his talons, she whipped his hand away, laughing.
"Beast!"
Brooklyn cupped the back of her hair with one palm and wrapped his other arm around her waist, crushing her body to his.
"I'm your beast."
"Yes, you are," Rose whispered against his lips, "and I never want you to forget it."
"Deal."
Grinning, they both opened their mouths and enveloped each other in a passionate kiss. The music faded, as did the other party-goers. They ran their claws over each other's hair and bodies, and their tongues dancing to the music of their love. They didn't know how much time had passed before they stopped, breathing breathlessly in each other's faces.
Brooklyn's eyes were burning into hers, and his smile said it all. Their hearts were synchronized, souls, one… when-
"I bet your Uncle can't kiss you like that."
And just like that, he ruined the moment.
Rose's face twisted up in shock and disgust, and Brooklyn was roaring again. Turning away from him, she went to walk away, but Brooklyn pulled her back, laughing hysterically.
"I'm sorry, babe, I had to! I just had to!"
"You know what?" Rose laughed, holding onto him and shaking her head at him in disbelief. "I cannot believe you ruined that good of a kiss by following up with a smartass remark like that one."
"Babe, I just had to!" Brooklyn laughed, and Rose couldn't help but laugh with him. She shook her head at him.
"You're impossible."
"Oh, but you love me."
"Yes. Yes, I do." Holding him closer, her tone then turned very sincere and loving as she whispered, "very, very much."
Brooklyn smiled endearingly at her.
"Now," she cleared her throat, "do you love me?"
"Only with all my heart and soul," Brooklyn snorted and rolled his eyes. "Obviously."
"Enough to dance with me?"
Brooklyn stared at her for a few seconds, his face melting with love. "Absolutely," he breathed, pulling her into his arms. "Anytime, anywhere, Rose, I will always dance with you. All night long if you wish it."
"Good," Rose breathed back, meeting his smile with the same genuine joy.
Grinning and getting lost in each other's eyes, they picked up to the beat of the music, swayed to the music, and danced.
Brooklyn spun her around in a twirl, brought her back into his arms, and confidently waltzed across the dance floor. In celebration of their new life, the New Avalon, and for the love they had for each other, they danced.
I loved writing this chapter. So fun! Onto the next! Thanks!
