CHAPTER 53: Mozart Is A Jackwagon (Fandom: DAMIEN)
Dw'wdh, Willow to others, played some pattleball and listened to the classical music playing over the speakers while she waited. This was the most uninteresting job she had ever done, and that was even counting that this Dollar General was in the subconscious of a demon.
Time loops make everything uninteresting after a while. The fact she had been listening to the same song on repeat for years also didn't help this fact.
Her timer went off in time with the song looping, and she hid the pattleball under the counter and sat up, pasting a smile onto her face. The man of the hour walked through the doors, and started the script he had unknowingly wrote.
"I didn't think there was a Dollar General out here."
"Well, we are everywhere sir."
"Do you have some matches? This winter seems to keep going and I'm worried we'll run out."
"We do."
"I'll have to ask Celine when I get back if we have any money, I don't really want to be roughing it if there's a Dollar General here. Are you playing Mozart?"
"Yes sir."
"Did you know that he once wrote a song with high and low notes right next to each other because he disliked a singer who tilted her head based on the octave of the note? He said it was because he "wanted to see her head bob like a chicken"."
"Really? The only one I knew was he had written a song called 'Kiss My'... Bad word that I refuse to say."
"It's always nice to meet someone else who likes Mozart. Well I do have to go, I have some trees to chop down. See you later."
"Goodbye!"
Damien walked out the doors and Willow slumped into the counter, resetting the timer.
Everyday, without fail, Damien would walk through those doors, they would exchange the same lines, and then he would leave. The song looped again and Willow wished she could turn it off.
The music looped, the outside looped, the conversation looped, Damien's actions looped. Willow would be hearing this song in her nightmares forever.
Just before she pulled out the pattleball to see if she could beat her highscore of 1289, Damien stuck his head in.
Willow barely kept the surprise off her face as Damien broke the script and said, "I was on my way back and thought I should tell you, I found a flower. I think spring will be here soon."
Willow forced a smile and said, "That's great."
Damien ducked out and she stood up, turning off the timer.
The place would be flooded before the night was over and, honestly, she wanted to stay as far away from the Actor as she could.
As she disappeared into the backroom, she started counting down the hours until she would no longer have to listen to Mozart. Maybe she could listen to EDM when she got back to HQ.
If she survived the place flooding that is.
"Nevertheless the passions, whether violent or not, should never be so expressed as to reach the point of causing disgust; and music, even in situations of the greatest horror, should never be painful to the ear but should flatter and charm it, and thereby always remain music." ~Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
