"Damn we make an awesome team?" Tocai asked in the chat. Nina, Pomorie and Mizuki were in the chat as well as they were on a morale high after today's victory.
"Yeah I know, I honestly don't know what lies around the next corner." Pomorie told Tocai as she seemed uncertain.
"Hopefully we can keep up our string of victories, Kuromorimine will go down fast if we keep this up." Mizuki cheered on as she was enjoying some food to eat.
"When I arrived, the Nishizumi sisters were beginning to counter attack and pushed Katyusha back a mile and a half. They still have some guts in them and if they show more off we will be scared straight." Nina told the group about her experience with the match, when she arrived to reinforce Katyusha that was.
"Taking out Olivia Kaya felt more like a chore than anything else today. She's willing to dig in and if we launch an attack, she just stands her ground and fires back without hesitation." Tocai told the group about what was going on. Nina decided to tell Tocai about something.
"Even though Kaya-san is as tough as the Tiger tank she's riding in. She isn't immune to heavy artillery. That's why I always have my ISU-152's on standby." Nina explained to Tocai that taking out the heavy tanks with her was the best thing to do.
"Okay I'm willing to learn, dunno if we can get more Partisans on our team, maybe give us the other Matilda 2 you have in storage." Tocai told Nina. Nina laughed as she knew it was a deal.
"That's a deal." Nina told Tocai. Pomorie was curious though but she wanted to ask something first.
"What lies ahead for us now that this match is over?" Pomorie asked as she seemed curious about what the next course of action would be.
"Well the weekend is here so Maho's calling for a break so we can rest up and get ourselves ready for next week. Probably we will be heading to the city so anything is possible." Nina told Pomorie about it.
"What for?" Pomorie asked as she wanted to figure out what exactly was going on.
"Stuff at Gregor for what I can assume. That's what she told us that Gregor is having trouble with its students as of lately. Some are rallying together for… I don't know what." Nina told the group but she didn't know the exact reason why this was happening.
"Yeah some of us don't know either." Tocai sarcastically replied as if her bi-polar disorder was beginning to kick in again.
"Did you forget to take your medicine again?" Mizuki asked. Tocai didn't seem to be too concerned about this.
"Probably not, I mean, who cares." Tocai told the group as she wasn't one to fill her system with drugs anyway.
"I mean you should take it to stay under control." Pomorie told Tocai to at least take it so she wouldn't have a moment when she didn't want to get out of bed that morning.
"Well we have the weekend that we could continuously organize ourselves with. We're still advancing on Magyar." Nina told the group what they should do.
"So what exactly are you going to do this weekend?" Pomorie asked Nina if she had any ideas.
"Alina wants me to see some tigers, actual tigers so it will be fun as I want to see Elephants, Leopards and Lions too." Nina told Pomorie about what she wanted to do this weekend.
"A zoo trip huh, well have fun with that." Pomorie smiled as she wished Nina to enjoy herself.
"Thank you, I will appreciate it." Nina told Pomorie. Nina was the first to log out as she decided to end the meeting there. Pomorie closed her laptop as she went to go study.
Kuromorimine meanwhile was having its own troubles to deal with. Olivia was busy organizing some papers, Maho was fiddling with the computer's keyboard, answering a few emails and Erika was pacing back and forth wondering what to do.
"Well it seems to be that Gregor, according to Kafka, is getting restless. I'm having trouble finding answers with Kafka and she won't return my calls." Erika began as she wanted to make the situation clear. She looked at Olivia thinking she was the one causing this. "So Olivia, what did you do?" Olivia wasn't going to take this clearly with Erika close up in her face.
"Okay first of all, you're invading my personal space." Olivia politely told Erika to back up. "Second, I'm innocent, may I resume my work?" Olivia asked as she wanted to finish what she had started.
"Nein." Erika responded brushing Olivia's stacks of papers to the side. She wanted to figure out why Olivia seemed innocent. "Why are you innocent with what is going on with Gregor?" Erika wanted to find out what was going on with that first.
"Because I have nothing to do with Gregor's behavior." Olivia responded as she wasn't causing Gregor's strange behavior.
"What about Gregor's behavior, are you influencing them?" Erika asked if this was true. Olivia looked at Erika as she began to speak.
"Well they seemed to be off even during the matches as they aren't happy with the tanks we gave them as it's all the tanks they don't want anymore. I'm just measly working my desk job." Olivia told Erika that she was just keeping tabs at the front desk. Erika seemed suspicious about this, she wanted Olivia to confess her involvement with Gregor as a means of dethroning her from her position so she could take it.
"Why are they not happy?" Erika asked if Olivia had the definite answer. Maho decided to step in to help Erika answer that question.
"Their tanks are outdated and don't stand much of a chance against Pravda. They seem to be on the roll with their massive guns. Giving them tanks isn't enough to properly stop Pravda. Also we're going to Gregor tomorrow as we have to help quell with what's going on with some of the students according to Augusta." Maho told them as they were going to go see if they could fix Gregor's problems.
"Expect me to come armed and loaded in case a fight breaks out." Olivia told Maho as she finished the paperwork for her job.
"I don't think that would be necessary but okay." Maho awkwardly giggled as Olivia was going to bring her paintball guns with her.
That weekend then came as the three girls were on their way to the Gregor School ship, the Dukla merchant ship. Once landing on the helipad, the three students disembarked and began to wander around.
"Man I've never been to their school and boy their ship is small." Olivia decided to comment about that as the Gregor school ship seemed to be like an ant compared to Kuromorimine's school ship.
"Yeah they're on a tight budget from what I had last heard about them back as a 1st year student. They don't really buy tanks as much as they beg for us to give them some." Maho told Olivia why Gregor was small. The three students decided to walk their way to the Gregor school building. They arrived after a few minutes of walking as they went straight for Augusta's office. Erika went off to do her own thing.
Augusta was busy organizing her papers in her office when she heard a knocking on her door.
"Come in." Augusta called out as she wanted to see who it was. Maho and Olivia entered the room, they pulled out the two chairs of the desk as they sat down in them. They had something to discuss with Augusta.
"So Augusta, I've been hearing reports that there is some unrest going on in this school. Is that correct?" Maho began to see if Augusta would be telling the truth.
"Yeah that's correct, a few of my students are saying that something isn't right and they were unsatisfied with the tanks you gave them as they wanted these tanks when the year began. You promised that you were going to give us better tanks and you did but that was as of recently and having participated in enough of your matches, these tanks don't do much against Pravda." Augusta responded as she wanted to find out if this was the case.
"Well I'm sorry to say but we can't exchange tanks as that's part of Kuromorimine policy so you will have to make do with the few tanks that you do have. We can help in trying to get your team organized with the tanks you do have or just let my little sister do all the work while I try sorting out Kuromorimine's oil rationing." Maho told Augusta that she was willing to reorganize the team.
"Speaking of oil, are you guys still struggling with an oil shortage ever since Count High School switched sides?" Augusta asked if they managed to fix that.
"Yeah, Magyar Girl's Academy is helping out with our oil situation as of right now but it isn't as much as what Count High School was giving us." Maho responded as the oil situation wasn't exactly fixed but they were receiving oil.
"That's good as of now and Ooarai is helping out so the situation as of now is stable. Don't know if it would stay stable for very long but we managed to get it under control." Augusta responded. Maho nodded as they were going to continue chatting.
Meanwhile, Erika had wandered off to do something completely separate from what Maho had intended for her to do. She was with the students that had called for a rally that their goal was going to topple Maho to set themselves free.
"Okay so are we ready?" Erika asked as she was wondering if the students were going to succeed. Plinka was getting all the students armed with their tanks and whatever else they were able to find in the weapon storage room.
"Yep. Cori has told us that the coast is clear and we've just seized up a bunch of paintball guns we had lying around in storage. So let's get this underway." Plinka responded. Erika nodded as Plinka decided to give the announcement.
"Let's get this national uprising started!" Manlia shouted with excitement. She grabbed her Karabiner rifle and loaded a stripper clip in there. Erika nodded as she was the first to lead the group and this was a good sized group of a couple hundred students. Augusta was in trouble.
"So what I was saying was the fact that I would appreciate that we could get a bigger commitment from…" Maho was telling Augusta when she heard a noise. Something had exploded. "Did you hear that?" Maho asked. Another explosion went off. Augusta and Maho got up from their seats as they swung the window open to take a look outside. Outside was a mess as a mass of students were trying to barge their way into the building.
"Oh no. I told you that this day will come. Plinka is trying to take over the school." Augusta called out to Maho as a Gregor student fired her SMG at Augusta.
"Augusta lookout!" Olivia called out as she pulled her back from the window. The few shots were unable to connect her as they began to plan out.
"We need to get our students mobilized and Kafka to get her leadership under control, I'm worried about them having tanks and by the looks of things, they do." Augusta had laid out her priorities on what they were going to do. Olivia loaded the magazine for her Winchester 1907, the only one she had received
"Hey Olivia, mind passing us one of these guns?" Maho asked her apprentice who was preparing herself for a fight.
"No can't do. My Winchester only has one magazine in it and I'm going to use the Karabiner as back up once the Winchester has run dry." Olivia responded as she prepared herself. She then got up and went straight for the door and opened it. "You girls ready?" She asked. Maho and Augusta got up as they began to follow her out of the room.
"We should be ready so you need to protect us until we get weapons ourselves." Maho told Olivia that she would need to be on her protection until they could protect themselves. Olivia nodded as she motioned her hand down.
"Stay low and follow me." Olivia commanded them. The three girls slipped off into the chaos as the rebels began to flood the building.
The three students came to a junction in the hallway as they were looking for a way out. Maho was the first to speak of the three as she wanted to figure out the safest way out.
"Where could we escape without getting spotted?" Maho whispered if they knew a way out. Augusta began to think as she quickly figured out where they could run off to.
"The guard station for the ship isn't too far from the school only a couple of blocks from the main entrance, if we can get them into action, it will be the end for the rebels." Augusta told them where they could find some assistance.
"Good idea, we need to figure out a way to get there. I don't want to run into any of those armed students." Maho told Augusta about her fears.
"We'll get there, trust me." Augusta told Maho to keep calm. Olivia called out to the two of them.
"Three students walking down this hallway, run, I'll cover you." Olivia called out. Maho nodded as she and Augusta prepared to make a run for it.
"Okay, one… two… three!" Maho called to Augusta to make the run. Maho and Augusta bolted from their positions, this got the three students attention as they raised their paintball guns and began firing away. Maho and Augusta continued to run as Olivia peeked from the corner and fired her Winchester at the three students. Three shots were fired as the paintballs splattered behind them to distract them on where those shots were coming from. Olivia then bolted off after Maho and Augusta.
Olivia would catch up to Maho and Augusta moments later as the three students continued to run. Augusta was surprised at how fast Maho's apprentice was.
"Wow Maho, she's pretty fast on her feet. I never knew she was that athletic." Augusta told Maho about her speed. Maho turned her head to Augusta as they continued to run.
"It's her middle school sport she participated in, she's naturally quick on her feet." Maho responded on why she was just that fast. Olivia however had other concerns for the two of them.
"Now's not the time to chat, keep running you two!" Olivia called out as they turned a corner in a hallway. Two students appeared as they made their attempt to spray the two of them with paintballs. Olivia raised her Winchester and bang, bang! Two shots were fired as Olivia managed to nail two students in the head. Olivia motioned for Augusta and Maho to follow her. "Weapons over here you two, take the supplies quickly as I want to continue running." Olivia called out as Maho and Augusta began looting the bodies to find what supplies. Maho would end up with an Mp-40 and Augusta a Kar-98k. The three students that found them earlier found them again. Maho raised up and began firing.
"Go go!" Maho ordered as she sprayed one of them down with a few paintballs, she began to run as Olivia turned and fired the last few shots off taking another student down. She slung the rifle over and reached for her own Karabiner rifle.
"This school is falling apart, we need to find a way out." Augusta called out as she loaded a few shots into the Karabiner.
"This way." Maho called out as Olivia chased after. More students were flooding in as they needed to make a plan on how they were going to get themselves out of there.
"We need to find Kafka, Stefanik and the national guard, we will surely try getting ourselves out of here." Augusta told the two of them what the plan was. "The rebels are overrunning the school."
"I thought that was an exclusively Saunders thing where the students rebel but it seems like it's the norm for everyone." Maho responded as more students began to chase them. Olivia whipped around and fired a shot at one of the students, striking her down before continuing to run. They then approached what appeared to be a dead end. The place was empty with a metal pole running down the middle of the shaft.
"We're trapped!" Augusta called out as she didn't know where to go next. Maho looked around for any ideas on where they should go. Suddenly several students whipped around as Olivia cycled the bolt to her Karabiner. She picked up the shell before firing off another shot taking another student down.
"You two follow me!" Maho called out. She leaped onto the pole and decided to let gravity take over. She then began to slide down as Olivia and Augusta watched.
"Olivia, come on!" Augusta called out, She then leaped next and grabbed the pole and began to slide down. Olivia did much the same thing a moment later as she began to slide on down.
Maho was sliding down rapidly as they were approaching the bottom a couple decks down. Maho landed on some soft plush sponges at the bottom as she was fortunate having escaped them alive. Augusta fell onto the sponges a couple seconds later, followed by Olivia as Maho caught the second girl in her arms. They both fell over into the sponges as Maho got up with her apprentice in her arms.
"Goodness Olivia, you're getting too big for me to properly catch, don't know if I can keep treating you as a little sister." Maho responded. Olivia dusted herself off as she knew there wasn't any more time to waste.
"Come on, let's keep going!" Olivia shouted as she took off running. Maho and Augusta followed behind her. The three students began to race their way up the stairs as they were trying to find a way out of this situation. Once getting out from the stairwell. Another student ran into them as she wanted to find out what was happening.
"Augusta!" Kafka shouted as she ran over to greet her. She hugged Augusta happily as Augusta released her.
"The entire school is falling apart and I see you have a Karabiner on you. We're trying to find the national guard station so we can get them into action to quell the rebels down." Augusta told Kafka as she was relieved to see her. "All we need to do now is find Stefanik and we should be able to…" Augusta paused as she began thinking, where would that girl have run off to? "Where is she?"
"Stefanik left earlier today for Pravda. It's just us." Kafka responded. Augusta was thinking that she would be doing something else entirely different.
"Forget about her, let's get going!" Olivia told Augusta to not think about her for a moment and keep running. The four girls then took off and began running.
They were now on the outside of the school and at the entrance. Many students were fighting among themselves as the situation had dissolved into chaos. They ran up to the gate as they were going to seek a way out of here so they can try calming the situation down.
"There's the gate, the guards station is only a couple blocks away on the left. If we go there, we can get them into action and straighten the situation out. Augusta told the group. They began running to the gate upon which it was fortunately open, escape time. The students turned left and continued to run unaware that a roadblock was ahead. Erika was waiting for them with a paintball Mg-42.
"Going somewhere Nishizumi-San?" Erika asked. The group realized they were trapped as the Mg-42 began opening fire.
"Find some cover! Fast!" Kafka shouted as the four students began to run in the opposite direction behind cover from the Mg-42. The students then found cover by a concrete roadblock as they all huddled down behind it.
"What are we going to do? Erika has the area pinned, one of us will need to go out there to suppress that Machine gun long enough for one of us to sneak past and get the guards mobilized." Kafka laid out the situation as she was uncertain of what was going to happen. Olivia began to think as she was going to quickly plan this as she knew that she was taking a big risk.
"Maho cover me, I'll take out that machine gun myself." Olivia told Maho to keep Erika distracted while she was going to keep Erika pinned to the ground.
"Olivia, you're crazy and you know that. That machine gun will rip you apart in seconds!" Maho told Olivia to not do it. Olivia just looked at Maho as she was preparing to run.
"I am daring myself to die. I'm only afraid of you dying Maho, just cover me and when that machine gun falls silent, run." Olivia told Maho that she was going to do her job and that Maho needed to do hers.
"Okay." Maho gulped as she felt nervous about it. She raised up and fired her Mp-40 at Erika's position. Erika turned the Mg-42 and began spraying it at Maho. Olivia knew this was her chance. She leaped up from the barricade and made her dash to Erika's position as fast as her legs were going to carry her. Maho was spraying to keep her friend covered, unaware to Erika that someone was rapidly approaching. Olivia leaped up onto Erika's Machine gun position as she took the stock of her Karabiner rifle and swung it at Erika. Erika was hit on the cheek with the butt of the rifle as she fell down. Olivia then pinned Erika down as she placed the rifle on her neck to keep her pinned from resisting. Erika squirmed wildly as Maho motioned Augusta and Kafka that the position was suppressed and they could continue to run. They would pass Olivia who was still keeping Erika from squirming. They would then arrive at the station as Augusta began furiously knocking on the door.
"Open up! We need your help!" Augusta shouted. One of the guards opened the door as he looked out to the teenagers.
"What do you young-uns want?" He asked as he wanted to find out what they needed.
"Our school is in chaos, paintballs are being shot everywhere we need your help." Augusta was flailing her hands around as she was speaking at a million miles an hour.
"Calm down missy. We understand what is going on and we're going to get the team into action." He responded as he grabbed the microphone and began to speak. " Okay Gregor High School is being disruptive, diffuse the brawl immediately." He announced. The cars with the guard's logo began pouring out as they were going to the school which was contested, Maho, Augusta and Kafka turned around and ran on back. They needed to find Olivia and put a stop to this madness.
The hours would tick by as more Kuromorimine students had arrived to assist the guards with subduing the uprising. Many of the students were beaten and bruised. Erika had a large black and blue on her cheek and Olivia was busy assisting the guards with keeping the situation under control.
"I never knew that Gregor would get this angry." Koume started as she had noticed the mess that the students had engaged themselves in. Maho looked on as Olivia was assisting one of the guards in dispersing a crowd.
"I'm telling you, my apprentice has got it in her." Maho told Koume as she was observing it.
"What would Gregor's position be now that this has happened?" Kafka asked as she was worried about their reputation being ruined because of today. Maho looked at Kafka.
"I don't know exactly for sure. All that we know is the fact that Erika was the one who sparked the flame and the powder keg exploded on our faces. We were fortunate enough to put it down fast or this would have dragged on for weeks much like the ones I've seen before." Maho wasn't exactly sure but she knew Erika was the one to begin it.
"What should Erika's punishment be?" Augusta asked if Maho found a suitable disciplining action to use against Erika.
"That's not for me to decide on but I currently hope Erika gets demoted again. Olivia isn't one to try to do anything wrong." Maho told Augusta. Kafka continued.
"Either she likes you or she's frightened by you. She knows her place." Kafka gave her response as Maho looked at Kafka.
"That's something that all the new freshmen when they see me for the first time look like." Maho told Kafka that this was nothing new among her. Olivia walked over to Maho as she began speaking. "Ah Kaya-san. Everything under control?" Maho asked Olivia if things were finally returning to normal.
"Yeah. Hopefully we can get the Sensha-Do team reorganized and press on with the matches." Olivia responded on what their input should be. Maho giggled with Augusta.
"Yeah must be the fact that we'll be grouped with the Croats. We'll assess the damage done to our school and decide from there but that will take many days so we'll get a few more matches with you Maho." Augusta told Olivia. Olivia just saluted to Augusta without saying a word back. Kafka was tapping her foot again as she still had this one question lingering over her head.
"I'm going to say this again, where is Stefanik?" Kafka asked, wondering where the short girl was off to.
Stefanik was spending her time with a few Pravda and St. Gloriana students on the Kiev class carrier as they were finishing their day together and heading on out from animal watching.
"I've never had so much fun walking around the little safari of yours, all animals from all over the world were here and I will be looking forward to coming back here." Stefanik began as she was walking out of their entertainment.
"What was the best part of today so far, I liked the snow leopards." Brook replied as she gave her opinion on what she liked. "I want an emblem of that cat on my tank."
"I liked the meerkats, I could just watch them all day. It convinced me to get a plusy of one and I think it's adorable." Nina called out as she was hugging what seemed to be her new best friend.
"Cute aren't they, you let them crawl all over you. They like hard boiled eggs, that's for sure." Brook laughed as she wasn't one to let things crawl on her much like the meerkats crawling on Nina.
"They just love to dig around so there is nothing we can talk about here." Nina told the group as they were walking out of the exit.
"What are you going to name your little friend?" Alina asked as she was wondering what they could name the little meerkat plush that Nina was holding onto.
"Zaphod. I need to get this painted onto my ISU-152." Nina responded. Stefanik laughed.
"Okay I can't wait to see you Monday when the next match happens, until then, take care." Stefanik walked off, bidding the group farewell as she was going to go back to her school, Stefanik was completely oblivious to the drama that had happened today.
Later back in the Sensha-Do storage garage of Pravda, several painters were painting over some unique markings on a few of the tanks to make them much more noticeable. Nonna walked along to Nina who was having a Meerkat painted on the side of her ISU-152.
"I sensed you had a great day today huh?" Nonna asked Nina as she wanted to figure out if that was the case.
"Yes I did, I definitely got to see the animals with my friends, bought a meerkat plush as well as a few other things and had one painted onto my turret of the tank. When the next match happens, the meerkat mob will overwhelm Kuromorimine and its remaining allies, the only way for them now would be to head on back." Nina told Nonna. Nonna laughed to little Nina as she seemed quite fond of the small student.
"Matches will resume Monday but I can see why you can barely contain your excitement." Nonna told Nina as she continued to observe the painters as they painted the meerkat on the ISU-152. Nonna walked off to see Katyusha who was busy on her T-34/85 observing the crews painting their tanks.
"I see that Nina has had a good time huh?" Katyusha began. Nonna nodded yes.
"That is very much correct. She's excited to get back on the field to take on Kuromorimine." Nonna told Katyusha.
"That's great, she's the girl who I want to have to replace us when we're gone. She's coming a long way." Katyusha responded as she was placing all of her money on Nina.
"She'll make a good commander I promise you." Nonna replied. Katyusha was ready to move on to something else.
"Also the students Gregor had a fight among themselves today, many of the students beat each other up and Kuromorimine had to come and break it up." Katyusha decided to make this known.
"Gregor students could be demoralized as of now so they wouldn't be putting up much of a resistance for the crucial days to come. Makes our job a lot easier." Nonna replied.
"Exactly, no wonder some of us are excited." Katyusha nodded as she slid off the tank and began to walk off. "Goodnight."
"Bye Katyusha." Nonna responded. She turned around and began to walk away as the students were still chatting but Monday was coming so they needed to prepare for that.
Monday was going to be another heavy blow.
[A/N]: Probably one of the shorter chapters but this was straying a bit off course as I wanted to cover this as a bit of a demoralizer for Gregor students. Part 3 of the Magyar advancement will be the next chapter as that will resume. Nina is more than excited for this to happen. Keep your eyes peeled for the next chapter as more rivers will be coming. See you later.
