Chapter 1: A New World
Equestria
The battle against Grogar was a fierce one as the Mane 7 had to face their most powerful enemy yet. Not just that, but the obstacle in their path was the six mares' own feelings for the Hero of Equestria himself, (Y/N) (L/N). They were able to top off this obstacle and soon enough, a herd was formed as (Y/N) was a prince with six girls in which one of them was a princess herself, Twilight Sparkle.
Now a few weeks have passed since the battle and right now the Mane 7 along with Spike have arrived at the Crystal Empire as tomorrow was (Y/N) and Twilight's first summit as both prince and princess and of course the rest were there to support them as the fellow Elements of Harmony. They were all strolling and following the path toward the glimmering city of the empire with smiles on their faces.
Applejack: Hoo-wee! Your very first summit, you two. Y'all must be over the moon.
Twilight Sparkle: Oh, I am excited. But, to be honest, I'm a little nervous, too.
(Y/N) sees Twilight's glum look and wraps a hoof around her surprising her a little as he gave her a smile.
(Y/N): Trust me, I would be as nervous as the next pony who's trying something new. But don't stress my princess, you have your friends. . . And you've got me right beside you.
Twilight blushes with a smile on her face before pecking (Y/N) on the cheek.
Twilight Sparkle: *sighs* You always know what to say to me, (Y/N).
(Y/N): Heh, just always trying to see my girlfriend with a smile on her face.
Pinkie Pie then shoves her head into frame, startling them both.
Pinkie Pie: Twilight, you're 'nervicited'! It's like you wanna jump up and down and yell "YAY ME!"
She then curls herself into a ball and rocks back and forth on the ground.
Pinkie Pie: But you also wanna curl up in a teeny-tiny ball and hide at the same time!
(Y/N): *nervous chuckle* That's another way to put it. . . I mean we've all been there.
Fluttershy: I'm there almost every day.
Applejack: Like our sugarcube said though, Twilight. Everything's gonna be just-
Rarity then on the edge of total panic, races up to the two.
Rarity: TWILIGHT! (Y/N)!
(Y/N): Rarity. . . Chill out. . .
She then grabs (Y/N) cheeks and looks all over his head.
Rarity: Oh, sorry, darling, but I just realized you two are not wearing your crowns. You both haven't forgotten them back in Ponyville, have you?
Twilight Sparkle: I packed both of ours in my bag.
They look over to Spike who pats the suitcase in confirmation and Rarity backs off.
(Y/N): It'll be our first time in doing a summit in royalty. But since I have more experience with these things considering I have a mother who was close friends with the princesses, Twilight's just saying that she hasn't really gotten used to it all yet.
Twilight Sparkle: Not only that, I haven't gotten accustomed to my own wings yet.
She tries to work her wings, but it causes her to hover lopsidedly just above the ground for a few seconds, after which she was about to fall, but (Y/N) caught her with his magic and made her stand upright.
Rarity: You are a princess now, Twilight. Embrace it! I'm telling you, if I had a crown like that, I would never take it off. Why, I'd sleep in the thing.
She then rushes up beside (Y/N) giving him half-lidded eyes.
Rarity: And of course I would have my handsome prince right beside me to keep me comfortable.
Rarity bats her eyelashes at (Y/N) making him blush a little before he smirks and rolls his eyes while Twilight gives an exasperated smile.
Eventually, the seven were able to get inside of the Crystal Castle as two closed doors, which swing open to reveal the throne room as Crystal-pony guards on either side of the pink-carpeted aisle blow a fanfare, and the other three Princesses stand before the throne.
(Y/N) and Twilight were both a bit taken back by this kind of greeting as they both advance wonderingly along the carpet. Not paying attention to where she is going, Twilight veers off and bumps into a Pegasus guard stallion.
Guard Stallion: Introducing Princess Twilight Sparkle and Prince (Y/N) (L/N).
Giggling, Cadance steps across to the two, with Celestia not far behind. The sisters-in-law nuzzle happily.
Princess Cadance: Twilight! I haven't seen you since (Y/N)'s birthday party! How's the whole harem thing going with you two?
Both (Y/N) and Twilight blush a little and eye each other as they were a bit embarrassed to answer that.
Princess Cadance: *chuckles* I take it those expressions mean that things are going pretty well?
(Y/N) chuckles and rubs the back of his head.
(Y/N): More or less. . .
Twilight Sparkle: I mean it's only been a few weeks, so we're still trying to get used to it.
Princess Celestia: Well, that talk can wait until tomorrow. While we have so much to talk about, you all look tired from your journey. Now, off to bed, all of you.
They all exit amid a flurry of chatter and a few excited outbursts from Pinkie.
Since it was their own summit, Twilight and (Y/N) shared a bedroom with one another and the other girls thought it was fair for the two as well. Twilight was using her magic to unpack her suitcase, while Spike makes up his own small bed in a basket that sits on the floor not far from theirs. A stack of books is first to go in a drawer that Twilight packed and right after that (Y/N) levitated his crown out of the bag to put it on the nightstand. Twilight sees him doing this before she pulls her tiara and puts it on her head. She then looks at herself in the mirror before sighing which alerted both (Y/N) and Spike.
Spike: What's wrong, Twilight?
(Y/N): *sighs* Still pondering about your future as a princess?
Twilight Sparkle: . . .Yeah. (Y/N), Spike, Princess Cadance was given the Crystal Empire to rule over. What if, now that I'm a princess, Celestia expects me to lead a kingdom of my own?
Spike: That would be AWESOME!
Twilight Sparkle: No, it would not! Just because I have this crown and these wings, it doesn't mean I'll be a good leader!
She floats her tiara off of her head and places it next to (Y/N)'s crown. (Y/N) himself gave Twilight a judgmental look.
(Y/N): Twi, how can you NOT be a good leader?! Pop quiz! Who was the one who lead the heist against Nightmare Moon?
Twilight Sparkle: . . .Me?
(Y/N): Correct! Who was the one who saved us from being manipulated by Discord?
Twilight raises an eyebrow as that had the exact same answer.
(Y/N): Right! And who was able to-
Twilight puts her hoof over (Y/N)'s mouth to silence him.
Twilight Sparkle: Okay, okay. I get it. I've done so many things that resemble what leadership is, but (Y/N), being a princess is on another level than the achievements that we did. Something in my gut is just telling me that I'm not prepared.
(Y/N): Hey, look at me. . .
(Y/N) puts his hoof under Twilight's chin to make her look at him in the eye.
(Y/N): I know we're both now prince and princess, but Twilight you need to stop looking at it like it's a bad thing. I didn't form a herd with you and the others just to see you talk yourself down like that. Twilight. . . tomorrow, trust me on this that we're going to get through this together no matter what, okay? You'll never know what happens unless you try.
Twilight looks at (Y/N) and then Spike who nods his head in agreement to (Y/N)'s logic and she then gives a small smile before pecking (Y/N) on the lips and hugging him which he returns.
Twilight Sparkle: Thanks (Y/N). I'll see what I think about this.
(Y/N): There's the Twilight I fell in love with. Now come on, we need to sleep as we've got a big day tomorrow.
Twilight nods as the two of them got into the bed together while Spike clicks the lamp to darken the room before he goes to tucks himself in his tiny little bed that he made up. Silence fills the air with only wind blowing, but only for a short time as soft grunts could be heard and Spike looks over to see (Y/N) trying to keep Twilight's wings tucked away.
Twilight Sparkle: *grunts* Can't. . . tuck. . .!
(Y/N): You need to stop tensing up!
Twilight Sparkle: I'm not being tense!
(Y/N): Clearly, you are. . .
(Y/N) softly massages Twilight's back a little causing her wings to tuck back in which made her sigh in relief. They both tried to sleep once more, but the wings popped up from her flanks once more, dumping the blanket over the two in an untidy heap. Both of them let out groans as Twilight's still doesn't have full control over her wings.
A few hours into the night has passed and everypony in the castle has gone to sleep peacefully with no disturbances at all. Meanwhile in a corridor of the castle where a unicorn guard is walking on patrol, a pair of double doors at the corridor's end behind him open up. A shadow works its way along the wall, but stops short of the circle of light cast by the now-approaching unicorn guard. He stops, flicking the spot side to side, but does not notice the shadow's source, a hooded and cloaked figure sneaks past behind him.
With the guard oblivious, the shadow works its way through the castle to eventually come up to a door where it's intended destination is. On the other side of the door, the figure uses a little of their own magic to quietly open the door to the room and it was apparently none other than (Y/N) and Twilight's room as they were both sleeping comfortably now with Twilight cuddling (Y/N) as if he was her pillow.
The figure then walks quietly pass the snoring dragon towards the nightstand as it sees both Twilight's tiara and (Y/N)'s crown. Their eyes could now be seen as a pale blue-green, and its horn glows to lift both of the said accessories off of the nightstand, but in doing so, the lamp topples away as well.
A last-second telekinetic grab keeps it from shattering on the tiles, and neither Twilight, (Y/N), nor Spike does much other than stir a bit. Just enough light now falls on the face to reveal the thief as a yellow-orange mare. The lamp goes back in place, and the trespassing unicorn shifts Twilight's tiara and (Y/N)'s crown into the cloak's folds and brings out not-quite-identical copies to settle on the nightstand. Once it is in place, she turns to exit the room, but trips on Spike's tail when he inadvertently flicks it over the side of his basket. The thud from the fall makes the sleeping dragon bolt right up from his sleep.
Spike: Huh? What?
Twilight and (Y/N) heard the commotion as well as they both sit up with a sleepy moan and Twilight glances toward the mare before she is shocked to see that the pony has both of the crowns.
Twilight Sparkle: Hey! She got the crowns!
The thief bursts out through the doors and into a full gallop before the three can do much more than get her head out.
(Y/N): Hey you! Give those back!
Various sleepy and confused mutterings came from the others as Spike races after the two while Twilight warms up her horn and teleports ahead of the fugitive.
Twilight Sparkle: Stop!
Not a chance. The thief teleports away, leaving her cloak to billow into Twilight's face, and materializes directly behind her so that she is seen in full for the first time. It was Sunset Shimmer in her pony form as her coat color was the same as her skin color and her mane and tail was the same as her hair from the other world.
Throwing a cocky glance over her shoulder, she sprints off down the corridor, only to find all of the Mane 7 hot on her trail a moment later. Both Twilight and (Y/N) look at each other with a determined look as (Y/N) hoists Twilight up with his magic and throws her ahead of him to tackle Sunset Shimmer to the floor. However, their combined momentum carries them through a set of closed double doors and into a room filled with various artifacts as the others hurry to catch up.
Both of the stolen crowns fly out of Sunset's saddlebags, ricochets around the room, then sails toward the mirror. Instead of shattering the glass, though, it passes right through and leaves a pattern of glowing ripples that soon fade away in a shower of sparks. Gasps from all but Sunset, who merely smirks as (Y/N) lifts her in the air to angrily glare at her in the eyes.
(Y/N): Where are they?!
Twilight Sparkle: What did you do with the crowns?!
Sunset Shimmer: Sorry it had to be this way. . .
She teleports over to the mirror to give one last evil glance to the Mane 7.
Sunset Shimmer: Prince! Princess!
She dives into the mirror earning another round of gasps.
Fluttershy: Who was that?
(Y/N): Whoever she is, she's trouble.
(Y/N) walks to approach the mirror while Twilight grabs his tail to stop him.
Twilight Sparkle: (Y/N), where are you going?
(Y/N): You clearly saw that this thing is like a portal, so I'm going to go and see where she took our stolen crowns.
Twilight Sparkle: You can't! We don't know where she is or how we're going to track her down yet. We should let Princess Celestia know first.
(Y/N) looks at the mirror before back at Twilight before nodding as that seems to be the better option than to go somewhere they all have no idea yet.
Doing what was planned, the Mane 7 waited until the following morning to tell all three of princesses of what went on last night in the castle. Right now they were all in the throne room where Cadance sits on the royal seat, while Celestia and Luna stand one level down to her left and right, respectively. The Mane 7 and Spike are lined up on Celestia's side of the carpet, paying close attention.
Princess Celestia: Sunset Shimmer. A former student of mine. She began her studies with me not long before Twilight. But when she did not get what she wanted as quickly as she liked, she turned cruel and dishonest. I tried to help her, but she eventually decided to abandon her studies and pursue her own path. One that has sadly led to her stealing both your crowns.
(Y/N): So that was Sunset Shimmer?
Twilight Sparkle: You know her, (Y/N)?
(Y/N): No, but I remember Celestia telling me about her sometime ago. Like she said, she just gave up on her and went to wherever that portal led to. She wanted to become an alicorn like us and tried many things on making herself become one without Celestia's help, guidance or permission. I'm guessing that's the reason she stole your tiara. . . but why did she steal my crown too?
Princess Celestia: That question is apparently beyond my comprehension, (Y/N). But I can't say that the reason is anything that's good.
Spike: She replaced both of them with these.
Spike holds up both of the fakes crowns and Celestia studies both of them before pacing.
Princess Celestia: I suppose Sunset Shimmer thought you two wouldn't notice right away that these are not yours. And by the time you both did, it would be too late to go after your crowns and Elements of Harmony.
Both Twilight and (Y/N) followed Celestia to where she was walking.
Twilight Sparkle: But I don't understand. Where did she go? Where did she take the crowns?
Princess Celestia: You'll soon know more about this place than even I do.
The gang then goes to the exact same room where Sunset Shimmer escaped as Princess Luna speaks about the mysterious mirror.
Princess Luna: This is no ordinary mirror. It is a gateway to another world. A gateway that opens once every thirty moons.
One bright pink hoof that was Pinkie's taps the glass, creating the same phosphorescent ripples that occurred when the tiara passed through it.
Pinkie Pie: Sparkly!
Luna rolls her eyes disgustedly at Pinkie's curiosity uses her magic to push the limb back.
Princess Luna: As you know there are many worlds beyond Equestria. (Y/N)'s former world, Earth is an example of that. However, I doubt that this portal leads to same world of where (Y/N) and his mother escaped to.
(Y/N): How long has this mirror even been out for?
Princess Luna: It has always been kept in the throne room of Canterlot Castle. But when Princess Cadance took over the Crystal Empire, we sent it here for her to watch over.
Princess Celestia: *sighs* I had always hoped that Sunset Shimmer would someday use it to return, to come back to Equestria seeking my guidance. Obviously, this is not what has happened.
Princess Cadance: One of you must use this mirror to go inside and retrieve both of the crowns. Without them, the other Elements of Harmony have no power and Equestria is left without one of its most important means of defense.
(Y/N): Why only one of us?
Princess Celestia: I'm afraid that if we send more than one of you it could upset the balance of this alternate world, creating havoc that would make it impossible for you to get the crowns back from Sunset Shimmer.
(Y/N): In that case. . . I'm going!
The rest of the mares looked at (Y/N) surprised.
(Y/N): If Sunset Shimmer went somewhere that is another world, then I think that I'm the best candidate at doing so.
Princess Celestia: I figured you would volunteer, (Y/N). I'm sure you're ready for whatever it is you have to face.
Twilight looks at (Y/N) still surprised from what he said before she looks down to the ground and remembers what he was talking about with her last night. She then gets a determined look and steps in front of (Y/N) blocking him.
Twilight Sparkle: Actually. . . I'll do it. . .
This brought a round of shocked gasps all over including (Y/N) who was surprised that Twilight's making such a bold decision.
(Y/N): Twilight. . .?
Twilight Sparkle: I've been thinking about what you said last night, (Y/N) and. . . You've already took on a strong enemy that we had to face weeks ago. The same day that we confessed to each other. And. . . I don't want to see you gone again.
(Y/N): You don't think that I feel the same way? I almost thought that you were killed that time. I don't want to go thinking that again.
(Y/N) says this with a sad look thinking of those events, but Twilight takes his hoof and gives him a look of sympathy.
Twilight Sparkle: I know, but. . . Trust me when I say that you need to take a break from all of this hero business.
(Y/N): But. . .
Princess Celestia: (Y/N). . . I'm afraid I must agree with Twilight. The battle against Grogar was something that pushed you passed your limits to defend those that you love. Even though it's been weeks, you should definitely still need a break. However, do you understand the importance of this task, Twilight?
Twilight Sparkle: Of course.
(Y/N) couldn't help but feel worried for Twilight, but he knows that he can't stop her from doing what she wants to do. Applejack walks up to (Y/N) and places a hoof on his shoulder.
Applejack: Sugarcube, just let one of your princesses do the job this time, alright?
Twilight approaches the mirror as Rarity levitated her saddlebags on her as well. She turned back towards (Y/N) once last time who walks up to her.
(Y/N): You sure you'll be okay on your own?
Twilight Sparkle: . . .Maybe not, but only one of us can go in.
Twilight then takes (Y/N)'s hooves into hers and gives him a reassuring smile.
Twilight Sparkle: Don't worry, I promise that I'll come back safe and sound.
Twilight then kisses (Y/N) on the lips which he returned as it lasted for a second.
Twilight Sparkle: I love you.
(Y/N): I love you too. Be careful out there.
Princess Luna then shows an image of a moon slowly shifting position in the sky as the shadow covering most of its surface moves to leave only a ring of light around the periphery. It covers one of the three stars, flaring up brightly ,and the shadow fades away.
Princess Luna: Time is of the essence. On the third day, when the moon reaches its peak in the night sky, the gateway will close. And once it does, it will be another thirty moons before you will be able to use it to return.
With all of that being said, Twilight moves toward the portal as the other five mares voice assorted words of support. She then slowly puts her hoof up at the mirror to test the magic of the portal, however she pulls it away from the simmering magic and looks back over her shoulder. A gentle but firm nod from her mentor and a determined smile from her boyfriend gives her the steel she needs to make herself step through and disappear from sight. Spike, though, gives in to his nerves and races through the knot of ponies, too fast even for Applejack to intercept.
Mane 6: Spike, NO!
Spike doesn't listen to the warning and races straight through the portal recklessly. Inside of the portal was apparently the gateway as it was a tunnel of pastel-colored streaks flashing. Both Twilight and Spike tumble screaming into view and toward the far end, their bodies elongating to an impossible degree as if made of taffy. After both have disappeared into the brightness at that far end and the view snaps to black.
In the Human World at (Y/N)'s home. . .
We see our main version of (Y/N) sleeping peacefully in his own bed. While he is an older teen who's nice to others and always does the right thing. . . that doesn't make him the most flawless person in the world. He was apparently unaware that his alarm clock had been on the same time that was early in the morning and it didn't buzz to wake him up.
However, to help him a little at getting up, the sun shines through one of his windows and onto his face which caused him to wake up, stretch, and yawn. After rubbing his eyes, he looks over at his alarm clock to see that it said 4:30 A.M., which gave him a confused look as that couldn't be right at all. He then looks over to his nightstand and grabs his phone that was charging to check the real time and when he did. . . his eyes popped wide open in shock as it was only 10 minutes before school starts.
(Y/N): YIKES! I'M LATE!
(Y/N) immediately jumps out of bed to go and get himself ready to go to Canterlot High and barely get there on time.
Using those 5 minutes wisely, (Y/N) got dressed with his backpack on and he was running along the sidewalks as if his life depended on it. Soon enough though, he got through the streets of the Canterlot City and made it to the front entrance of Canterlot High while stopping in front of it to catch his breath.
(Y/N): *panting* This is definitely not how I wanted to start my day off! That stupid alarm clock had to stop in the middle of the night?! *sighs* At least if I tell the principal, she'll understand.
(Y/N) was about to walk into the school like on his usual casual day until he heard something which made him raise an eyebrow. He looks behind him to find the source of the noise and he sees the huge white horse statue that stood in front of the school or rather one of the mirrors that was on it was glowing.
(Y/N): What. . . in the. . . What's that?
(Y/N) turns around to witness what the statue was doing and took a couple of steps towards it curious for what the glow on the statue meant. It then glowed some more before a huge flash of light brightened the area as (Y/N) shielded his eyes. When the light dims down, he then was surprised for what he sees next as two figures came out of the statue. Witnessing it all just baffled him.
He first sees a small purple dog with some green fur and green eyes.
The second figure that he sees was a girl with with light mulberryish gray skin, moderate sapphire blue hair with moderate violet and brilliant rose streaks, moderate violet eyes and she is wearing a light blue collar T-shirt with a pink bowtie, a purple skirt with the symbol of a pink six-pointed sparkle surrounded by five small white sparkles, pink socks, and purple boots with the bottom part of her boots being black.
(Y/N): (What did I just see? Is this some. . . weird magic trick or something? The statue glowed too. . . What is going on?!)
Spike: Uh, Twilight?
(Y/N) jaw dropped in complete shock at seeing Spike talk.
(Y/N): D-D-D-Did that dog. . . just talk?
Twilight Sparkle: Huh? Spike! You're not supposed to- Spike? Are you a. . . dog?
Spike looks at himself and circles around to confirm Twilight's deduction as he was indeed a dog.
Spike: I. . . think so. But I have no idea what you are!
Apparently, the girl who was Twilight Sparkle looked to see that she had two violet hands right in front of her and after that. . .
Twilight Sparkle: AAAAAAAAHHHHHH!
She screams so loud that (Y/N) covered his ears from the sudden outburst.
(Y/N): (Geez, what is wrong with you!?)
Twilight then claps her hands to her mouth to stifle her scream, then takes them away and wiggles her new forearms increasingly frantically one set of fingers at first, then that wrist, and finally all the joints. As she works her way toward full-on hyperventilation, Spike just scratches at one ear, when he stops, she is still trying to figure out exactly how her limbs work. (Y/N) just stares anticipating the entire scene.
(Y/N): Why is she. . . inspecting herself like that? Has she never seen a human before?
Spike: Twilight, you have to get it together!
(Y/N): Twilight. . . Is that her name? Huh. Cute.
Twilight then snaps out of the fit, takes a deep breath, and lets it out while leaning her weight forward to rest on her fists and knees.
Twilight Sparkle: What. . . does the rest of me look like?
Spike: Um, like you. Only not you. Your muzzle's really small.
Twilight Sparkle: My muzzle?!
(Y/N): Muzzle. . .? Like an. . . animal's muzzle? What is. . .? I can't. . . How is. . .?
(Y/N) was just trying to process everything that he's seeing that he might have a breakdown like Twilight just did. The touch of fingers against the very tiny nose on Twilight's face starts her freaking out all over again, but Spike claps paws over her mouth before the whimper coming out of it can get any louder.
Spike: Are you gonna scream again?
She shakes her head and Spike removes his paws as they both look off in the same direction toward the statue.
Spike: Where are we?
Twilight Sparkle: I don't know. But that must serve as the gateway back to Equestria.
She pushes her hand through the surface of the mirror and a ghostly image of a hoof appears behind it which (Y/N) sees.
(Y/N): Equestria?! Gateway?! A talking dog?! Okay, (Y/N), pull yourself together and everything will be fine. You got up late for school, ran as fast as you could here, a sudden light from the Wondercolt statue catches your eye and now your seeing things that are crazier than what Pinkie does.
(Y/N) was tempted to just walk away like nothing happened and get on with his normal day, however he looks towards both of his sides to see that no one else around was looking, so it wouldn't hurt to ask this girl what she's doing here.
Twilight Sparkle: We need to find the crowns as soon as possible and get back there. I suggest we start searching the castle first.
(Y/N) gulps before he approaches both Twilight and Spike.
(Y/N): Um. . . Excuse me, but is everything okay?
Both Twilight and Spike heard that voice as it sounded way too familiar and the both look in front of themselves and they both gasp in shock of when they both see a young man that was none other than (Y/N).
Twilight Sparkle: (Y-Y/N). . .?!
(Y/N) flinched from Twilight knowing his name so fast as he darts his eyes back and forth.
(Y/N): Uh. . . y-yes?
Twilight Sparkle: B-But I thought that you were still in Equestria! Did you follow me here?! I thought you said that you'd stay behind!
Of course Twilight was talking about her (Y/N) back in Equestria, since she's meeting (Y/N)'s human counterpart, he has no idea how to respond as he just stares with complete confusion.
(Y/N): Uhhhhhhhhh. . . W-W-What. . .?
Twilight raises an eyebrow at (Y/N)'s confusion, however Spike taps her to get her attention.
Spike: *whispers* Uh, Twilight. . . I don't think he knows you. . . We did just go through a portal after all. . . Besides, is it even the same (Y/N). . .?
Twilight looks at (Y/N) again who look like he was ready to freak out and seeing his expression, she knew that Spike was right as this guy has no idea who she is.
Twilight Sparkle: Oh, sorry! I think I said too much there!
(Y/N): You think? What was all that I heard about Equestria? And some crowns too? You're not sick or have amnesia or anything do you?
Spike: *chuckles nervously* Trust us, this is all new to us too.
Twilight Sparkle: I'm guessing you want some answers. . .?
(Y/N): Yes, please. I REALLY wasn't ready to see some girl pop out of the statue like that.
Twilight Sparkle: *nervous laugh* By your expression, I can tell.
(Y/N): I'll. . . just start with something simple. *clears throat* Who are you, where are you from, and finally what are you doing here?
Spike: Should we tell him, Twilight? He might not get it all.
Twilight Sparkle: Don't worry Spike, it's (Y/N). I'm sure he'll handle it just fine.
Spike: Okay, if you insist.
Twilight Sparkle: So you see (Y/N), Spike and I are from another world where I'm a Pony Princess and Spike here is a dragon. On top of that. . . you're someone that I know from that world as well.
(Y/N) was surprised to hear that, but instead of freaking out, he nods actually getting the picture.
(Y/N): Oh, that explains how you know my name. Mind telling me everything else.
Twilight and Spike gave (Y/N) a quick explanation of what just happened in front of him. They explained that they come from another world where everyone is a talking, magical and intelligent pony, and there are four species of them which are Earth Ponies, Unicorns, Pegasus, and Alicorns, along with other mythical creatures as well. Twilight then explains that two crowns were stolen and that one of them belonged to her and they both weren't any ordinary crowns and they were both part of a set of magical artifacts called the Elements of Harmony which had Kindness, Honesty, Laughter, Loyalty, Generosity, Magic, and Heroism. Twilight then said that both of the crowns were the Elements of Magic and Heroism, the two strongest of the Elements of Harmony and they were both stolen by a thief which she caught up to, but the crowns went through a portal that led to here. The thief also went through the mirror and so Twilight and Spike came to retrieve them. Twilight didn't tell (Y/N) that he was secretly her boyfriend though as that would definitely make him flip out especially since they both just met.
After the explanation however, (Y/N) was just surprised by all of what he heard.
(Y/N): Wow. . . That's a lot to take in, but I think I get the situation that you're in.
Twilight Sparkle: By the way (Y/N), what am I?
(Y/N): You're a Human.
Twilight's eyes widened hearing him say that.
Twilight Sparkle: Did you say Human? My own (Y/N) told me that he was once a human. . . Wait. . . is this world called Earth, (Y/N)?
(Y/N): You must be thinking of a different world. . . I guess you can just call this. . . The Human World.
Twilight Sparkle: The Human World? So, I guess there are two dimensions where humans exist?
(Y/N): Not that I know, but. . . maybe? You did mention something about magic, right?
Twilight Sparkle: Yes, does this world have any magic at all (Y/N)?
(Y/N): Sorry, but I'm afraid not. I mean. . . the only thing that I witnessed that was all magic like was just you two coming out of the portal.
Spike: So this world doesn't have magic at all?
(Y/N): Nope. Meaning that you two are probably going to have a little bit of trouble getting used to it.
Twilight Sparkle: I see. . . Well we're trying to track down the thief who stole the crowns, her name is Sunset Shimmer. Do you know her by any chance?
(Y/N) eyes widened and he blinked twice at hearing that Sunset Shimmer was the culprit.
(Y/N): Sunset Shimmer?! She's the one who stole them?!
Twilight Sparkle: Yes! Do you know where she is?!
(Y/N) get's a serious look before turning to the school.
(Y/N): Yes, you could say that. . . we're like enemies here. She's the biggest bully in Canterlot High.
Twilight Sparkle: Canterlot High?
(Y/N): It's the school right here that you described a castle a moment ago. As a matter of fact, it's where I go to high school.
Twilight Sparkle: School?! Like a place for learning?
(Y/N): Exactly, and that's where you'll find Sunset Shimmer too. She likes to call herself the queen of Canterlot High. Almost everyone around is afraid of her. . . well, everyone except me. Wait, how do you know Sunset Shimmer anyway?!
Twilight Sparkle: She used to be a student of Princess Celestia, but when she didn't get what she wanted, she turned cruel and dishonest which lead her to coming to your world and abandoning her studies.
(Y/N): . . .Princess Celestia? There's a Celestia in your world that's a princess?
Spike: Yep. As a matter of fact, she's the ruler of Equestria.
(Y/N): Huh. Then I guess her being the principal to Canterlot High here is parallel to that. She's in charge of the school here.
Twilight Sparkle: Really?! She rules over this school?!
(Y/N): Yeah, along with her younger sister, Vice Principal Luna. And since your world connects with mine. . . I guess you'll probably be seeing all kinds of familiar faces in this school.
Twilight Sparkle: Well, I guess now that you know everything, you can tell that now Spike and I are going to get the crowns back from Sunset Shimmer before the portal closes.
(Y/N): Closes? You mean you can't stay here that long?
Twilight Sparkle: No, if we don't get back through the portal in the next three days we'll be stuck here for the next thirty moons until the portal opens once again.
(Y/N)'s eyes widened from that as she'll be stuck in her world for that long if she doesn't hurry.
Twilight Sparkle: Alright Spike, let's go and get back the crowns.
Spike nods as he gets on Twilight's back and they were about to walk on all fours until (Y/N) stopped her.
(Y/N): Now hang on a second, I know that all of this abnormality isn't something that's my business, but I can't allow to do this alone, Twilight. Let me help.
Twilight was surprised at (Y/N)'s proposal to help.
Twilight Sparkle: You want to help me? Even after the story and we just met?
Y/N): Of course. You guys aren't gonna be able to get any experience with this world either without a guide. And even though this all sounds crazy, seeing is believing and I really do believe one thing. . . Sunset Shimmer won't just give back those crowns so casually.
Twilight and Spike looked at each other surprised as that sounds exactly like something that their (Y/N) would say to them as well. He then walks over and offers his hand to her.
(Y/N): Let me start by showing you how a human walks differently than a pony.
Spike gets off of Twilight's back and Twilight looks at (Y/N)'s hand with a blush before she takes it and he helps her up to her feet, but she had a little trouble standing up and (Y/N) helped her adjust to it.
(Y/N): Careful now. . . I know it's not easy walking on two legs since you're more used to being a pony.
Twilight gained her balance and smiled that she was able to stand up like a normal human.
Twilight Sparkle: Thank you, (Y/N). Are you sure you want to help us out? I wouldn't want to be a bother.
(Y/N): I'm COMPLETELY sure. Besides, I can't let a cute girl like yourself take on all of this alone. Follow me and I'll show you around the school.
(Y/N) said this with a charming smirk before walking off and Twilight stares at (Y/N) with astonishment in her eyes before after a few seconds, she gets a lovesick expression with hearts in her eyes and letting out a slight dreamy sigh which Spike notices and smirks at.
Spike: Helpful demeanor, determined attitude, charming gestures, and of course. . . Twilight blushing. Yeah, that's definitely (Y/N).
Both of them then start to follow (Y/N) into the school as (Y/N) is about to witness some things that will change his normal school life forever. . .
