The dragons waited for the three Peace Keepers to come out. They took their time. The group crossed their arms and tapped the ground.
Spyro was also growing impatient as nothing was happening. The purple dragon was still in the arms of Nestor, his dad. He raised his head, "When are we going to help them?"
"It only has been a few minutes Spyro," the carpenter replied as he frowned a little. He knew that something might happen soon. He hoped that those Peace Keepers would come out soon. He was getting nervous.
Malefor began to be a little impatient. He watched the portal. He wanted to go in there and used his Forbidden Artifact the end of the battle. They were wasting time to finish the Sorceress once and for all. The dark purple dragon quietly growled as he tapped the ground a little loudly with his tail.
Chapter 53: Challenging The Monster To End All Monsters
Titan avoided more fireballs from the Monster To End All Monsters. He dropped his axe because it was too dangerous to use it. Thankfully, he knew how to fight against his hands and his tail. He was a warrior no matter what.
Gunnar and Magnus flew around the monster to surround him. It was best to split up than fight him as one. Three small targets harder to handle than one big target.
Magnus dodged a few lightings coming at him before he tackled the monster.
Scorch painfully grunted as he felt on the ground with the chubby brown dragon on him. He pushed the dragon away and avoided a few flames from the other dragons. He countered with more fireballs at them. He avoided the punches and kicks from the dragons. He blocked a few of them. He tried to take flight, but Titan dropped on him and was forced on the ground.
Titan felt a smack on his snout and felt. He rolled a few times and quickly stood up. The orange dragon grunted and cracked his knuckles. He adjusted his purple mohawks. He frowned and dodged more attacks at him. He blocked a kick and a tail whip. He felt the whip on his arm and it echoed under his scales. His eyes spin for a few seconds before he dodged the next one.
Magnus tackled Scorch once again and used his palm to smash the face of the monster. He followed with a headbutt.
The orange monster jumped away and flew in the air.
"You won't get far away!" Gunnar quickly flew towards the monster. He quickly closed the distance and punched right in the snout of the monster. He sent him away and followed him. He didn't let his enemy a second to breath and punched him another time. He then grabbed his hands together and raised them. With a powerful blow, he sent Scorch towards the ground and let him crashed.
The monster stood up, relentless.
"That monster isn't going down that easily," Magnus grumbled.
"You don't go down easily when you are hungry and Gnorcs are in your way," Gunnar joked as he landed by their side.
"Make sure he doesn't take flight. It's easier to handle that monster when he isn't flying," Titan ordered as he punched his fist in his palm. He yelped when he was hit by a fireball at the face. His mohawk had been a little burned. The orange dragon glared at the monster, "Bad idea."
The two dragons under his command took a step on the left. They decided it was wise to let their leader to handle the rest.
Titan eyes shined a little as he cracked his knuckles, "No one burned this beautiful haircut monster. You are going to regret it so much," he let out a war cry and charged.
The two other dragons winced when they heard the punch on the monster's fast. They heard the snout of the monster making a loud sound. The two saw the monster sent in the air.
Gunnar shivered, "That's why he is our leader," he gulped. He remembered the beating he got when he accidentally damaged the mohawk.
Magnus nodded, "Once he let out his anger, he will calm down."
Scorch flew near them and the dragons split up in the air. They watched the orange dragon charging.
Titan punched the ground, but the monster dodged to the left. The ground cracked under the fist of the dragon. He used his tail to whip the monster in the face. He then followed with another punch. He continued his assault and ignored the fire that hit his scales. He ignored the pain and blocked a punch from the monster. He gave another one and sent him away.
The Monster To End All Monster rolled on the ground a few times and stood up. He shivered when he saw the eyes of the dragon shining.
"I am not done yet monster," Titan chuckled with a large grin.
Scorch learned that the dragon who beat him up was the true monster. He stood above him as the strongest monster of the realm. Maybe of all the realms.
He turned around and tried to fly away, but Titan held him by the tail, "Where are you going? I'm barely starting this beatdown!" he cracked his knuckles. He was kicked on his chest and took a few steps back. He ignored the pain and charged. He punched the chest of the monster and when he tried again, the monster jumped in the air and zapped the dragon.
Magnus and Gunnar watched the two continuing their battles in the air. Their leader was relentless into his anger and ignoring the pain. They crossed their arms. They knew that victory was coming soon. They didn't need to wait for a long time. They knew that the end was coming.
Titan punched the face of Scorch and breath fire with everything he had. He panted when he was done and saw electricity coming at him. He closed his wings and dodged the attacks. He opened it once again and charged at the monster. He suddenly ascended and hit the neck of his enemy with his tail. He followed with a kick on the skull of the monster.
Scorch eyes were spinning after a kick and almost lost its balance.
The orange dragon panted as he dropped his head towards the ground. He put his hand on the ground and showed his fangs, "Have enough?"
The monster used its claws and slashed the chest of the dragon.
Titan frowned as he cleaned his chest from the flesh blood, "Bad idea."
The two dragons waited and after a few minutes, the battle was over.
Titan cleaned his hands after the fight. He turned around and clapped his hands, "I'm done with that monster," he grabbed his axe and put it on his shoulders, "This is the end of this monster. I don't know what the Sorceress did, but I want a piece of her next."
Gunnar sighed and went to him, "Calm down Titan. We are not here for her. We are here to save the eggs first," he put his hands on the shoulders of the pissed off dragon. He looked into the eyes of his leader, "Remember what we are fighting for. That monster is down and there is no reason to keep that mood."
The leader of the Peace Keepers closed his eyes. He took a deep breath. Now that the source of his angers was gone and satisfied, it was possible for him to calm down, "Yeah," he took another one, "I calmed down. I'm calm now."
Magnus wasn't certain because of the choice of words. He crossed his arms, "You need to calm down more. Maybe holding Spyro might help you."
Titan blushed a little, "H-hey. He isn't two anymore. He won't like it."
The two chuckled now that their leader was finally back to normal.
Gunnar approached the monster and kneeled down. He sniffed the air, "You think it is a real monster or a Rhynocs who turned that way?"
"Zantor will figure this out," the orange dragon replied.
Magnus huffed as he held the monster and restrained the monster. The large dragon chuckled loudly as they returned to the portal.
The other dragons waited. They found it took a long time for him to come out. Flame tapped the ground for a few seconds as he closed his eyes.
Spyro was on the ground and sat by the side of Nestor, "It's taking a long time."
"It's much shorter than when you disappeared on your birthday and searched for you for so long. We felt pain in our chest when you disappeared. I thought you would never come back," he pat the head of the child.
"We all searched for you," Astor repeated what the leader of the artisan dragon said. He adjusted his hat, "And they will come back soon now."
They saw the three dragons coming back with a knocked-out monster.
Spyro and Flame saw the mohawk of Titan burned. They found the new haircut funny with the smoke coming out of it. They snickered and tried to hold back.
The others had a small smile.
The orange dragon raised his finger, "Not a word. Not a single word!"
Magnus put the monster on the ground, "Think you can get it back to normal Zantor?"
The Magic Crafter watched this. He raised his hands and his cards floated in the air, "It won't be a problem. It will be done quickly," he chuckled to himself. He then sent his cards on the monster and they shined, "I will bring him back to his Rhynoc form."
He waved his fingers for a few seconds before the light came. The monster then turned back to normal. He shook his head and made a few sounds with his mouth. He nodded.
"That was easy," Trondo commented unimpressed.
"It was against his will. He was resisting the curse subconsciously," Zantor replied.
Malefor crossed his arms, "The Sorceress is ready to do anything to get rid of us. Even using curses on her own warriors," despite serving the Sorceress, he had a little bit of sympathy for the Rhynoc. Just a little.
"That's so evil," Spyro commented.
Flame nodded, "And I hate the Rhynocs, but doing things like that."
Nestor gazed at it. He never knew about the Sorceress himself, "We should keep going. Hunter is in danger. We don't have that much time to save the eggs."
"The others will join us soon," Titan said at the three dragons who went their own ways.
"I wish I could have help you," the purple dragon commented.
"What? You are insulting us Spyro," Titan said as he began to adjust his haircut. He used his claws to clean the little bit of dark on it. He then approached him and put his hand the child's head, "You should know that we are the best warriors of dragon kind. We won't go down against them," he chuckled loudly as he put his hand on his chest.
"But…" Flame pointed at the haircut. He yelped when he got a warning gaze from the dragon. He whimpered a little.
Astor waked the head of the orange dragon, "Don't scare the kids like that. They can laugh at your new and better haircut. You looked like a delinquent just like in your youthful years."
"And you are an old gramps," Titan replied as he poked on his chest. Still, he was just grumpy and not angry.
"What's the deal with that style anyway?" Malefor asked. He raised his hand, "I never saw any dragons with that weird stuff before I was sealed away until I met you."
"I don't care about your comment," he growled his words before glaring at the dark purple dragon.
The two glared at each other's.
Nestor sighed. Once he found it lasted for too long, he stood between them, "Enough you two! We are here to save the eggs. We are here to save our children! Not to fight among each other's. This is the stupidest thing we can do!" his authority reigned over them and they turned their head and didn't look at the other one.
Gunnar tapped the back of his leader, "He's right. Division among us is the worst thing we can do. Titan, calm down."
"Fine. I won't say anything else," Titan replied.
"Me neither," Malefor replied.
Spyro gazed at his two dads. He could clearly see the hostility between the two. He didn't really know why. Was it because Malefor had been sealed away or something else? He didn't know.
The Carpenter walked towards the portal, "Let's go now. The others will join us when they can."
The dragons followed him as they went into the portal to the next realm.
