Groaning as she stepped onto the elevator, Nova rubbed her swollen belly as two of her soldiers that she had known well in the past took up position behind her. The week had gone by quickly and all business with the police department had been finished and case closed. The appointment with Kaya had been quick and both babies looked healthy. When she had her own seal over her daemon characteristics, the visible pointed ears of the pups rounded but no other visual signs had been noticed. Now she was finally returning to Takiyama Corporations to readjust to working.

She wore a black pencil skirt with a maternity waistband and a white cotton blouse under a black quarter sleeved blazer. Her hair was pulled back into a high complex bun and wore simple black silk flats. The two soldiers were in matching black suits with a white button up shirt and black tie. She knew they both had an under the arm holder for a gun and blades strapped to both forearms. One had kept his hair long and it was pulled back into a low ponytail while the other had a military buzz cut, but both had a earpiece in their ear to communicate with other soldiers and each other.

The elevator doors opened to the top floor and Nova stepped off, hearing the entire floor fall silent. She past by desks and heard whispered conversations start up as she passed, about the obvious pregnancy and her 'amnesia' that caused her to disappear. Reaching her destination, she saw Sayto sitting at the desk she had once worked at before being moved inside Sesshomaru's office.

"Miss Draik!" Sayto jumped to his feet as he finally looked up. "Can I get you anything...?"

"I'm fine Sayto," Nova mused as he opened the door to the office behind him and she entered. "The boss will be in shortly, so make sure his tea is ready when he arrives."

"Yes, ma'am," Sayto responded before closing the door and returning to his desk.

"It's a shame they don't know I can hear them," Nova muttered as she heard several conversations that were theorizing who she had slept with as Sesshomaru and she had not made it public knowledge yet since the party to announce the pups was not until tomorrow evening.

"Would you like us to deal with them, Lady Nova?" The soldier with long hair, Nico, asked.

"How would we do that without giving away our heightened senses?"

"Mention that we have mics throughout the building?" The other, Talo, shrugged. "For the safety of our employers, we monitor all conversations. Not far off from the truth."

"No, we'll wait until after the announcement gathering tomorrow. Once it's common knowledge, if they continue to talk disrespectfully, then we'll deal with them," Nova frowned.

Her workspace had been kept clean and she noticed a pile of documents on Sesshomaru's desk. Going over, she sorted through the messy pile and chuckled. It was a wonder any work was done efficiently in her absence.

Grabbing the newly sorted pile of untouched documents, she placed the other pile in the basket on the corner of the desk that only need to be signed. Carrying the other documents, she returned to her desk and got to work. She was halfway through the stack and some of the emails on her computer before she was disturbed.

"Miss Draik, two men from the Mumbai Division are here, Mr. Kyto and another that I have not met," Sayto stuck his head in. "But the boss isn't in..."

"I'll take care of them, bring them in and bring them drinks if they wish," Nova spoke and he nodded. She placed the two piles of papers to the side and looked up as Takashi Kyto entered. He was grinning as the second hid childishly behind him, but she recognized the sealed Youkai. "Really? These childish antics are below you Baba."

"Hello, little one," Dimitri came into view, his hair still long but the markings on his face hidden. "I was not sure how to best approach after what I heard from before you returned. I don't have those memories as they never happened for me."

"I'm still adjusting to the rush of memories I received when the well closed. The week has been busy while dealing with medical and legal appointments for my disappearance," Nova spoke, sitting forward casually to hide her swollen belly, curious to how long it would take to notice.

"I've heard some unsavory talk through the office," Dimitri frowned as the two men sat before her desk. There was a knock on the door then Sayto entered with a tray and placed it on the small table between the two chairs before her desk before quickly leaving. "Could you ease the mind of an old man?"

"And which talk concerns you Baba?" Nova inquired, keeping her expression neutral.

"That you were messing around like some whore."

"You know that there was only one person considering I mated him two weeks after Cayto's death," Nova grinned as she released the seal on her characteristics to show off the mating mark before resealing them.

"And this mention of a pregnancy...?"

"Your senses have dulled old man," Nova chuckled as she finally moved and got to her feet to walk around the desk to lean against the front of it. "You're going to be a grandpa."

"That dog..." Dimitri frowned but his eyes were wide as he stared at her belly. "Considering how far along you are..."

"We had kept it silent due to the halfbreed. Those that knew had feline seals to ensure their silence," Nova interrupted and waved her guards closer and they exposed the seal on their tongues. "Due to the constant feedings I required, I was eventually forced to pass through before the battle ended and then unable to return. So the announcement of these two will be tomorrow."

"Two...?" She grinned as he removed a ring from his left thumb and his markings appeared as he moved to press his nose to her covered belly.

"How I wish your mother could be here..." Dimitri murmured before a nudge to his nose made him laugh as he pulled back and put his ring back on. "Feisty pups."

"It's a wonder I get any sleep at all," Nova chuckled. "Now I didn't even ask what you needed, I'm sorry Takashi."

"It's all good, Nova. I hadn't physically checked in since before that elevator incident that spurred your 'alibi' so it was a good excuse to tag along with Dimitri when he said he needed to come out. Obviously you don't need to keep trying to get into our division considering that mating mark but I've only heard the stories."

"That's right, you were never truly properly introduced," Dimitri suddenly grinned. "You two are cousins."

"What...?" Nova blanked as she stared at her father in surprise.

"I had once told you that my brother was expecting his first child."

"Takashi is Damian's pup..."

"Uncle, you're going to make her faint," Takashi frowned and Nova found herself sitting in the seat Takashi had been.

"What has happened?" The voice of Sesshomaru pulled her back to reality and saw him on one knee in front of her.

"I told her who Takashi's father was, which is in fact my brother, but since she's never interacted with them apart from Damian, she's in shock," Dimitri answered. "Where is her companion? Isn't he supposed be at her side?"

"Kaya took him to see the vet," Nova whispered as she heard the door open and Sayto came into view with a bottle of water and a fruit bar.

"Are you okay, Miss Draik?" He asked and she nodded as she took the offered items.

"Low blood sugar, I'm fine," she lied and he nodded before disappearing.

"Perhaps it was too soon to be returning to work," Sesshomaru frowned as she took a drink of the water.

"I haven't had an episode since I killed Cayto, but you people have got to stop throwing surprises at me. Is there any other cousins I should know about?"

"My younger brother passed away during the war fighting along side Kouga's sons. Father and mother haven't tried for another since," Takashi spoke and she nodded.

"Alright, quit crowding me," Nova muttered and got of the seat to move back to her seat behind her desk. Takashi claimed the seat before her desk once more while Sesshomaru stood in front of her desk, but did not move. "Sir..."

"There is an informal lunch meeting of the four lords today," Sesshomaru spoke coolly and she frowned as she looked up at him. "They requested that you come if you feel up to it."

"I'll go," she nodded with a small smile. "It's been an adjustment being back, but I'm okay. If anything gets to be too much, I'll tell you."

"Hn," he nodded and she held out the documents she had gone over. He took them with a smirk before finally moving over to his desk. "Takashi."

Nova glanced up to see Takashi move to the other side of the large room and sit before Sesshomaru's desk. Hearing them talk about the Mumbai division, she focused on the documents on her desk while Dimitri seemed content to remaining quiet. Finishing the documents, she placed them on the corner of her desk and started working on going through the mass of emails.

The phone on her desk rang quietly and she picked it up. "Sorry for disturbing you again, Miss Draik, but a woman claiming to be the boss's personal doctor is here to see you and she has a large service canine with her. I told her that there was a meeting..."

"It's okay. You can let Dr. Kaya in," Nova spoke before hanging up the phone as the door opened and Khendon dashed to her, wearing a bright red service vest. "Hey Khen."

"His vaccines have been caught up. Had a couple fleas, but the vet medicated him and gave him a very thorough bath. Rather good considering," Kaya grinned as she closed the door. "The boy is a little skittish."

"He's still rather new, give him a break," Nova chuckled as Khendon immediately curled up at her feet.

"How are you?"

"I'm good."

"She's having dizzy spells," Sesshomaru spoke and she narrowed her eyes at her mate.

"If I wasn't being constantly surprised, I would be fine. Touran makes sure I don't miss a meal..."

"When someone is surprised their nervous system tends to go into overdrive and it can cause a drop in blood pressure, so if you don't want her to faint, don't surprise her," Kaya frowned.
