They had known for quite a while now that they were nonbinary. However, they had yet to tell anyone that information. Why? Well, they were scared to tell one person. And they couldn't not tell her but tell everyone else.

Who exactly was this person Moca couldn't tell? Their girlfriend, Himari. They were afraid she would break up with them.

Was there any particular reason they assumed that? No. They were just scared that could be the case. But, they didn't think she would do that. She wouldn't be cruel like that, right?

Moca was definitely overthinking things. They knew that. There shouldn't be any reason to worry like they were. So, why were they?

"Moca? You okay? You're staring off into space again."

"Huh? Oh, Himari~ What brings you here." Moca smiled at her.

"What's wrong? You never use my name. It's always my nickname."

Moca messed up there. That had been a careless slip up. It shouldn't have happened. They should have been able to recover themselves from that.

"Moca? Come on, you can talk to me if something is bothering you." Himari frowned.

Moca sighed. They may have no choice but to tell her. They still weren't sure if they were ready to or not. They hadn't prepared for this moment. They didn't know what to say yet. But what did they say now to keep her from worrying?

"It's nothing, Hii-chan." Moca hummed, "Just tired today, that's all."

"You sure?" Himari wasn't convinced.

Moca nodded, "That's all, I promise."

"If you say so. You know you can talk to me if something's bothering you, right?"

"I know, Hii-chan. I promise I'll tell you if anything ever comes up."

...

It took almost a month before Moca was finally ready to try and tell Himari. They wanted to start with her first. She deserved to know the truth.

"Himari? Can we talk?" Moca stopped her one day after classes.

"Sure."

They went somewhere quiet to talk. Moca was growing more nervous by the second now. This was it. Time to tell her the truth.

"So, what's up?" Himari asked.

Moca took a deep breath, "I... I need to tell you something."

"What is it?"

"I... I'm trans... nonbinary to be exact... um..." Moca didn't know what to say after that.

Himari didn't reply right away, instead, she pulled them into a hug. Moca felt tears slipping out of their eyes and they hugged her back.

"I still love you, Moca."

"I... I love you too..."

"Shh... take a deep breath. It's okay."

"Thank you."

"It's nothing." Himari kissed them on the head, "I promise nothing is going to change because of that."

"You're the best, Hii-chan." Moca smiled through the tears falling down their face.

Himari brushed them away, "Have you told anyone else?"

Moca shook their head, "Not yet. I... wanted to tell you first."

"Would you like me to help you tell them?"

Moca nodded, "Yes, please."

At least this had gone well. They were sure it would be fine with the others too. And now that Himari was going to help them, it would be a lot easier.
