Chapter 55: A Mysterious One
Agon was on his way home when he spotted an almost non-existent woman. Everyone in the train didn't seem to notice her. She almost has no presence at all that even he himself nearly overlooked her if she wasn't a beauty. He thought he was seeing things. But when he looked again she was indeed there.
She looked quite mysterious. She has short black hair and a pale complexion. Her body was curvaceous almost like Anezaki's measurements. He instantly sat beside the girl and said hi. She looked stunned, as if not expecting anyone to notice her. He smiled nicely and tried talking to her but she expertly tried to get rid of him.
Agon realized that she's someone who doesn't like being noticed. She talked politely but she obviously thought he was a bother. But he couldn't care less. He needs to get this woman's information. He tried asking for her number but she said she don't give it to strangers. He asked her for a date, she politely rejected saying she was busy. It seems this person is used to dodging people.
He pretended to give up and sat somewhere else. He talked to other ladies instead. When the woman got off the train, he followed her. She walked quite fast for a girl and her footsteps made no sound. He followed her to several cross-sections until she walked into several alleys. Agon still followed her. She went into another alley and Agon blinked in confusion when he reached a dead-end. It was an empty corner and there was no exit. There was nothing but walls. But the woman wasn't there. Did he miss? No that couldn't be, he had followed her closely. Did she climb the walls then? But why would she? She noticed me?! But what girl would be able to climb those?
The walls were a bit high but it was an easy task for him to climb it. He climbed and looked around for where the girl could go but she wasn't there. Did he just encounter a ghost? No, that couldn't be. They talked for while. He even touched her hand. Irritated, he went to a bar instead of going home.
A week passed and Agon still couldn't forget the woman. To clear things up, he waited everyday at the train station around the time he had encountered her. He could have asked Hiruma to find information about her but he didn't want him to think he was up to something. And then, bingo! She finally appeared. For another week, he kept following her but she always disappeared in alleys or convenience stores before he could even talk to her. She was quite good with hiding and running away. If she hadn't piqued his interest he would have given up.
Today, he waited hidden behind other people. He spotted her and she was wearing plain black clothes but she's still pretty. He almost whistled at the sight of her lovely waist and plump behind but she turned at his direction. Her senses are sharp!
She already noticed him so hiding would be of no use. He grinned as he approached her. She quickly mixed-in with the crowd, trying to hide herself. Agon pretended to lose sight of her until she boarded the train. When the train was about to go, he instantly boarded as well. And there she was, sitting in the corner where he first saw her. People don't seem to notice her again. It seems she has perfected hiding herself or more like erasing her presence or something like that.
Agon approached her again and talked to her. She tried getting rid of him again but he didn't budge this time. She agreed to have dinner with him the next day with the condition that he would stop stalking her. She had noticed him indeed and was just pretending not to, no wonder she always disappeared.
He was quite proud of himself when she finally agreed for a date. He made Hiruma book an expensive restaurant in exchange for a deal they had made. Agon was rather disappointed when she appeared the next day wearing casual black clothes. She didn't even try to make herself look cute. Though she honestly didn't need to, she still looked pretty.
She seemed to enjoy the restaurant. She had been focused on eating rather than talking to him so he also ate silently instead. While waiting for dessert, he got his chance for talks but she was not willing to divulge any information about herself. All he got to know was her first name was Saya. They were of the same her age. And that she was also a college student. She didn't seem surprised that he was Agon Kongo and that he was a famous American Football player from Saikyoudai University. Judging from her reaction, she already knew. He assumed that she must have seen him on TV or other news outlets. Or perhaps, her school also has a football team.
After dinner, he tried coaxing her for a walk in the park or going for a drink or two. She rejected yet again saying that she has to get home now since her parents might be worried. He offered to send her home but she refused, saying that her father is rather strict. Getting irritated, Agon asked for another dinner date instead and she reluctantly agreed.
When the weekend came, Agon waited patiently at the restaurant they were supposed to meet at. Thirty minutes have passed since the scheduled time but still wasn't there. 'Damn woman! Who does she think she is?' He was getting more and more irritated. She didn't even give him her number so he could at least call. Damn. And two hours passed with nothing. He had eaten and all but she never arrived.
"Damn that bitch! I swear I'm going to fuck her real hard until she begs me to stop." He furiously left the restaurant cursing her. He went to a bar and picked up other ladies instead. That was the first time in his life that a woman didn't appear after agreeing to meet with him. Damn it! If Hiruma and the others knew about this, they would surely laugh at him.
He didn't see her again after that no matter how many times he went to that train station. Damn her! She's really good at hiding herself. Another week passed and he was surprised when he saw her with Mamori in cake house. They were happily eating and chatting. He waited until they got out and heard them addressing each other with 'chan'.
'So they were quite close. She must be a goody-two-shoes if she is friends with Anezaki," Agon thought. He grinned evilly when he overheard that Saya was actually Anezaki's classmate. It was such a small world. Who would have thought that someone he had been having a hard time looking for was actually so close. Why did he have to go through all of those when she was actually in Saikyoudai.
"Yo! SAYA-CHAN," he showed himself when Saya and Mamori finally parted ways.
"Agon-san?!"
"It must have been fun ditching me like that. I waited for hours you know."
"I'm sorry. Something came up."
"I'd love to hear it," Agon wrapped an arm around her shoulder so she would not escape.
"I'm sorry but I have to go home now."
"You can't escape me now," Agon grinned, showing his true self. He had been nice to her before but after what she did he won't play nice anymore.
