SmackDown: 10/2/2000

WWF SmackDown was live at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Kurt Angle kicked off SmackDown this week by relieving everyone's worries that he no longer served as a role model. Explaining that he mistook Mae Young for Sexual Chocolate last Monday night, Angle assured the world that he was still a man who children and the elderly could look up to. After the Austin, Texas crowd overwhelmingly disagreed, the Olympic champion took on Val Venis. These two young superstars matched technical ability in this European Championship match until Angle was able to gain the upperhand by knocking Val off the top ropes, sending him back down to the soprano ranks. With the cover, Kurt Angle added European Championship to his already stellar resume.

The plan of the night for D-Generation X and their new buddies was "divide and conquer." First up, Perry Saturn took on Grand Master Sexay. The stylin' & profilin' Grand Master showcased the athletic ability that makes him the envy of all on the dance floor and in the ring. Saturn was able to counter with his sheer power. Strategically, Perry tried to destroy Sexay's arm. Backed by the crowd, Grand Master battled back and nearly had the victory after a Hip-Hop Drop. Referee Tim White was knocked out and unable to make the count though. Soon after, Saturn regained control to lock his opponent in the Rings of Saturn. Although Grand Master Sexay had his foot on the ropes, he tapped out.

Edge and Christian then took on the Dudley Boyz. Using their unparalleled teamwork, the young brothers were able to earn the victory, getting them a tiny bit of revenge on Buh Buh and D-Von for possibly costing them the Tag Team Titles last Monday night. After the match, Buh Buh appeared to be injured, bringing out the EMTs. It was all a set-up to get at B.B. though! With the blonde beauty tending to the "fallen" superstar, he sprang to life unharmed and promptly powerbombed her through a table!

The "divide and conquer" plan continued as Scotty 2 Hotty took on Dean Malenko. Both of these men posses an enormous quickness and technical ability and each showcased it throughout the match. Soon after the opening bell, Eddy Guerrero made his way ringside. After hitting with the Worm, Scotty went for the victory, but thanks to Eddy's interference, Dean was able to turn the tide and lock his opponent in the Texas Cloverleaf for the win.

In a non-title match, The Rock and Cactus Jack teamed up to take on the New Age Outlaws. Using every underhanded they could think of, Road Dogg and Badd Ass took the early the advantage. It appeared the Outlaws would have the win after Mr. Ass walloped The Rock across the head with the belt. The Great One kicked out though, and Cactus Jack was quickly tagged in. The Hardcore Legend punished Road Dogg for quite some time before electing to finish him off with a piledriver.

Luna and Gangrel earned a quick win over Jacqueline and Prince Albert in a mixed Tag match.

Chris Benoit had an enorm-"ass" task ahead of him in Rikishi Phatu. Despite Phatu's tremendous power, Benoit was able to take advantage of his technical prowess and nearly come out on top. Rikishi was able to get out of the way before Benoit connected with a Flying Headbutt though. Dragging his opponent into the corner, Rikishi was ready to finish him off, but the cavalry arrived. Malenko, Saturn and Guerrero hit the ring, forcing a disqualification.

The dysfunctional combination of Al Snow and Steve Blackman went up against the Hardy Boyz. The "Head Cheeses" continued their amazing win streak - but give a big assist to the Dudley Boyz who felt the need to get involved. With one hand tied behind his back, Y2J took on Crash and Hardcore Holly in a no disqualification, handicap match. The contest barely got underway before the Acolytes hit the ring and completely decimated the Holly cousins. Thanks to the no-DQ stipulation, Jericho was able to cover Crash Holly for the win after Bradshaw and Faarooq did their thing.

Next up was a two-on-one Handicap match.

Triple H and X-Pac, accompanied by Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley and Tori, took on Kane who had returned this past week on RAW is WAR alongside Paul Bearer and destroyed everyone on Triple H and X-Pac's team.

Tonight, Kane could get his revenge on X-Pac who had been causing him nothing but trouble since their rivalry began after SummerSlam and X-Pac revealed he was responsible for attacking the Bladewolf and putting him out of action, even presented Bladewolf's mask and burnt it as proof.

The battle quickly moved to the outside, as X-Pac and Kane went at it in the crowd. Back in the squared circle, Triple H took control. The D-Generates did everything possible, but could not slow down the Big Red Machine. A chair shot from Triple H couldn't even keep Kane down, but it did earn him a disqualification. It wasn't until the rest of D-generation X ran down the ramp to attack Kane that the Big Red Monster was overwhelmed and unable to fight back as he was assaulted by weapons by all members of DX while Stephanie and Tori clapped from ringside.

Paul Bearer looked at the stage and gestured for something, as if wanting someone to come out.

OOOOOOWHOOOOOO!

The crowd exploded at the wolf howl as DX whirled around to look at the stage in shock. Instead of demonic themes and lights playing, Metallica's For WHom the Bell Tolls plays before a motorcycle is heard revving and out comes...THE BLADEWOLF ON A MOTORCYCLE! THE BLADEWOLF WAS BACK!

"It's the Bladewolf! The Bladewolf is back!" Cole shouted over the loud cheers.

"Are you sure?! He;s not wearinga mask! heck, he's in new gear!" Jerry said.

It was true, Bladewolf was in different ring gear and had ditched the mask now, revealing his face for all to see. Some women wolf whuistled at his handsome features. His hair was still long and gave him a almost Heel look. he had remained in great shape during these last few months, as for his ring gear...it was very similar to WCW Sting's gear, but the white Scorpions were replaced by two large black wolves with hellfire eyes. On the legs, he had a Undertaker symbol on the right leg, showing his relation to his brothers, and on the left leg he had the wolf skull with demonic hellfire eyes.

Everyone also noticed his eyes were brown instead of hellfire.

He still kept the trench coat with the same wolf skull on the back of it though.

Bladewolf's motorcycle looked slightly demonic (Think of the Ghost Rider's Hellcycle from the 2007 Ghost Rider movie)

Bladewolf drove down the ramp and halted at the end of it, getting off and taking off his coat before he slides into the ring and starts fighting off DX as Kane takes the chance to recover and fight side by side with his brother.

"Bladewolf and Kane! Side by side once more!" Cole exclaimed as the two brothers were cleaning house. Bladewolf picked up a steel chair and started hitting everyone in his path that was DX. He then spotted X-pac and raised the chair when it was snatched out his hands and he whirled around to see Tori, Kane's ex-girlfriend. Bladewolf's eyes narrowed as he took a step towards the woman who backed up...right into Kane's chest.

Tori turned only to be grabbed by the throat by Kane as Bladewolf knocked out referees and the rest of DX, keeping them back. The crowd was cheering for Kane to Chokeslam Tori, Paul Bearer wanted it, and Bladewolf just watched. Kane looked down at Tori before he released her to boos from the fans. Tori tried sucking up to him, trying to manipulate him with seductive tactics and make him think she still wanted him...when he scooped her upside down.

"No!" Cole exclaimed. "Not the Tombstone!"

Kane stood...AND HIT THE TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVER! Kane got to his feet, raised his arms and threw them down for fire to explode from the turnbuckles as his theme played. Kane and Bladewolf shared a nod before Bladewolf shook Paul Bearer's hand, making it clear Bladewolf was back and aligned with his brother.

Kane and Bladewolf stared down DX as SmackDown went off the air...

Bladewolf is back! He has a new look, a new theme, and new ring attire. I know I said I'd let the demon be locked away thanks to Trish...but who said the Demon is locked away? Just because he's not wearing a mask, has a less supernatural and demonic sounding tune, and isn't in scary ring gear doesn't mean he's become human.

You don't need to wear a mask to be intimidating and scary, freaking Undertaker knows how to be scary without a mask.

The only thing that still keeps to his demonic roots is his motorcycle. It's appearance is the 2007 Hellcycle from the Ghost Rider movie. it's a badass looking motorcycle and suits someone like Bladewolf, and will be used for years to come in his career.

And yeah, Bladewolf's attire is the same as Sting's, just remove the Scorpions and replace it with the designs I put, which was two black wolves with hellfire eyes, an Undertaker symbol on the right leg, and the Wolf skull with hellfire eyes on the left leg.
