Along aid the Republic as well Jedi forces in the ongoing war against the Separatists and Sith, who are not stopping their progress to control the galaxy. All in the while Quackers, the scientist duck is working hard for the past weeks on establishing a connection to this galaxy to theirs."
Coruscant-Jedi Temple
It was a late night at the temple where in the lower level's of the temple, in that of the laboratory was Quackers. Who was the only one awake in the mist of the entire temple being fast asleep, he was working constantly on the portal's energy sequence along of how far it can transport them. Typing in the coordinates let alone of the star systems that were all around the planet he as well his friends were on. The lab was a bit messy due to how much he had been working in the room along of how he felt like he was molting his feathers.
"Ok, if I subtract the numerals from the equations. As well extend the signature to that of the nearest area where ships would go into hyperspace. I can..."
Quackers muttering to himself continuing to try and figure out a way to find the nearest route to planet. Along of making sure that the sector that was most used for hyperspace would allow them to travel to that of earth. It has been stressful due to how they had a large enough kyber crystal to power up the portal. Along of Sparky, who could produce a powerful twenty one point twenty one gigawatts of energy that could help the portal power up. Though the problem was how it could be done, the results of experimenting a interdimensional portal and starting on a planet could lead to disastrous results.
"How did he do it? Evil managed to create a stable portal that could take him here, a galaxy full of somewhat intellectual life. As well it being in war, he must calculated it to the precise number."
The duck continued to ponder about how Evil, his as well the team's rather chaotic nemesis. Was able to have a fully functional portal open, so far the only way he was able to make the portal was on what he saw in the castle. To which was broken up into thousands of pieces which sent them hurling here, to Coruscant. Grabbing that of a pen, he spins it around trying to think. However he couldn't let alone that he hurls it to the wall, in which he accidentally turns on the lights.
"The light!"
Crying out at how long he was in the dark working on stabilizing the portal along of that he's been here for hours, to which caused him to quack a bit rather frustrated as he covered his face with that of a star chart map making sure the light didn't hit his face. Though as that happen, the door opened up which showed the scientist Sionver Boll who was hearing the quacking.
"Quackers? It's the middle of the night. What are you doing here this late?"
She asked rather confused at how that it was strange for him to be up this late, along of how she noticed at the ground. Was several cans of fizzy drinks as well snacks to help him stay up, so far the stress of making a inter dimensional portal that could allow them to travel to one galaxy to another was getting to him.
"How long have you been here for exactly?"
Boll asked seeing the look on his face that he hasn't slept in a while, let alone how for a while he hasn't been training with the others let alone going on missions for the Jedi. Quackers, merely rubbed his bill along of his tired like eyes at how he looked at the clock.
"Oh, well seeing how the last mission was several days ago. Along how that the last time I went to socialize with the guys. Over, four days."
Quackers responding to her in which got the scientist rather shocked, grabbing that of a small light pen from her pocket. She rushed over like a doctor as she checked out his eyes, shinning it over his pupils. Sionver could see the strain of how they were moving away, let alone how the doctor was continuing to check up on the mutated like duck.
"Your eyes haven't been hydrated, your feather's are falling off from that of agitation. And, have you've been drinking these?"
Sionver noticing to the side that of a light green drink, to which was from a bottle. Picking it up she quickly scans over the item along of how it wasn't exactly good for a lifeform like Quackers to drink it.
"This type of beverage was made for Ithorians, it helps them with their vocal cords. Let me check on your throat."
Requesting to check on if the drink was doing anything strange to his voice, though Quackers merely shrugs it off as well grabs a towel. To which he cleans up his face along of making sure to tidy up his feathers. Looking at Sionver, she had a concern look on her face noticing that of working on the portal had gotten to him. In which the duck merely sighs rather upset at how he knew this was getting to him as well.
"Ok, I may have been staying her a bit to much. But this is complex technology, along how that Evil had many connections back on Earth. From Hydra, AIM, and even oil company Roxxon. Combine with his mind, I'm basically making a bootleg version of his machine."
Informing her that while they had still the materials along of the components to make a fully functional portal, he felt like it wouldn't be enough seeing how Evil's portal was based off several types of technology he got from other criminal organizations which had technology that faced off legendary heroes. Though right now, he didn't know if the portal would be enough. Boll, could tell how he was frustrated with this as she walked over to place a hand on his shoulder.
"Even if what he did was both incredible, as well truly menacing since I could never imagine nor think of. I wouldn't use different types of metals and devices from criminal organizations. And I know that we can do it, the only problem I'm seeing is finding the right sector to try the experiment."
Giving him a bit of confidence let alone of how that the portal needed to just be tested, along of finding the right sector for them to try it at. She walked over to check out the star charts, along of how that the only place where they could try to use the portal. Would be a in a good spot where there be no distractions, amongst that of droid ships or even pirates that could interrupt them. So far most of the sectors were occupied with ships as well several Separatists forces, except for one that had a republic planet near by.
"JanFathal. This a planet that is right now with the Republic, along of it's in the Fath System. It could be possible to load the portal onto a republic cruiser and test it out there."
Sionver explaining at how this could be a good location for them to test out the portal, Quackers. Setting himself straight he looked at the star chart she was showing him. The remote area was a best spot due to the Republic planet having that of a good stronghold over the sector. Realizing how it could work, Quackers nodded as well quacks a bit excited like.
"Yes! It can work, the system is around a good space where there no meteors or any type of Separatist attack. The spot is perfect!"
He started going off like a insane duck as he soon rushed out of the laboratory in which Sionver could see how excited he was. Following after him, the duck was going off in his native duck language as well quacking. Continuing more to that of his team's room, in which he opened the door. Continuing to go off like a mad duck, the others were right now asleep as well woke up due to the loud quacking.
"Duck, if you keep with the loud bill talking. I swear I'm going post hunting season across this whole temple!"
Shouted a rather agitated like hell rabbit which was Ash, who was in his bed right now with that of his weapons hanging off from the side along his red scarf. The others that involved Cheetah and Kizaemon, who woke up to notice the green feathered duck getting all excited.
"Well, I guess being here for several months as well fighting droids and aliens got to him. I freaking knew it."
Speed spoke out as the feline cat got up as well yawning a bit, though Quackers merely groaned at how the two thought he was acting crazy. Going to the monitor they had in their room, Quackers brings up that of a star chart which shows that of the Fath sector along of a nearby planet for them to which a good cruiser for them to bring the portal there.
"After several days of calculating the right area to test out the portal, along the algorithms to not letting it destroy a planet. This is the perfect sector to test out the portal, along of seeing if we can make it back to earth."
Telling everyone in which got the three animals rather curious, to which they didn't know if this could work. Though with how the look of his face was right now acting like it saw a whole group of fireworks going off, he seemed serious.
"While I believe you are one of the most intellectual non humans I've met, do you believe in this chance?"
Kizaemon asking the duck at how this could possibly end differently, though with how long he's worked on it and especially the time and effort each of them they'd put into the portal. It had to, in which the duck nodded to the ninja like hamster.
"Yes, I do. Though we need Sparky, he's the key to powering up, where is he?"
Quackers asking him to which he wasn't in the room, the others merely whistled a bit uneasy along of how that he was somewhere else. Along of doing something that would be considered possibly a rule breaker since the Jedi don't do it, he was hanging out with Ahsoka.
Ahsoka's Room
With everyone all asleep and doing their own business, it was the perfect chance for Ahsoka to spend some time with Sparky. In which the pair were right now resting in her room watching some shows on the holo net, especially of the recent war news that was happening. Especially how they saw them on the holographic like screen noticing how they were taking out Separatists along driving back the droid armies.
"Most Jedi's are never exactly interested getting noticed by the spotlights. Though, even I ever can be so bold. I don't look half bad wearing the mask."
Ahsoka stated as recently on the battlefield, she would be wearing her mask that she got from Sparky when they were celebrating her eighteenth birthday. So far when she was on the battlefield, it felt different. When she would be fighting with Anakin along of the other members of the council, it feel like she was being a soldier as well commanding the troops. Though when it came to hanging out with the Wild Force, it was different. It felt exciting fighting with others who were like her, full of energy as well could relate to her.
"Well a good man once said it's not the mask, it's the man behind the mask that makes it look good. But also it can work for a woman, as well a alien."
Sparky bringing it up along of trying to not sound rude, it only made her laugh a bit at how while Sparky could possibly manipulate electricity as well possibly handle a group of bounty hunters. The robotic masked canine was still a bit of a boy scout, acting both nice as well trying to not say something that might be off. The two continued to watch the monitor as the togruta jedi got comfortable with Sparky, which caught him off a bit unguard due to how they had been secretly a couple for a while.
"I heard about the incident with Barriss Offee and Kizaemon, apparently they ran into someone who possibly was in league with the Masters. You think Evil is plotting something?"
She asked the dog curious at how with them working with the Republic, along of fighting off the endless hordes or Droids and ships. Evil, had all the time to lurk in the shadows of the conflict as well make a plan that could overthrow everything.
"Yes, big time. Due to how that after a full month of trying to find him. We now know he's giving people powers, most of the Republic are doing it's best to keep it a secret. While for us, we're placed on the battlefield like soldiers. Not focusing on the real problem."
Sparky responding to Ahsoka's question if Evil, the same caped man who nobody considered to be a problem. Is right now making that of several meta beings with powers, to which the republic is keeping a lid on so that the rest of the galaxy don't fear him. Ahsoka, could tell the dog was stressed about this as well worried about what could happen.
"Well right now with how master Skywalker along the rest of the council have been able to push back the droid army as well general Grievous. I think we can finish the war without any delays."
Sounding confident about how in recent weeks of them as well the Wild Force aiding the clone army, they've been able to push back the Separatists from the outer regions of the Republic system. That made the dog smile, to which Ahsoka saw how she was able to make him smile due to how much they had been able to accomplish since their time here.
"Yeah, and maybe find a way to stop evil and head home."
Sparky doing a small joke which made Ahsoka fall silent at the comment, in which she didn't think about it. For a while with all they have done especially focusing on that of the battles and relationship they had made together. Ahsoka forgot that he nor the Wild Force belong to the galaxy, along of the enemies that are here lurking across the the system. She wanted to ask him about it, but didn't know how to tell him about what would happen if the portal worked as well they were able to get back home. However before coming up with a plausible like question for her robotic boyfriend, the dog got a beeping from his communicator that he had on him in which he answers it.
"Sparks, it's Zena. Hope you and Ahsoka are still up, cause Quackers might have found a way home."
The new addition to the team spoke out which had him excited as well surprised to hear it at this time of night. Looking to Ahsoka, she merely showed a smile of congratulates on how they might have figures it out. He decides to head out to see where they would be heading to, leaving Ahsoka in her room to sit on her bed. Thinking about what would happen if they left, or rather about how if it was all said and done. Would they return to earth? Deciding to see it for herself, she grabs her garments along of her lightsabers ready to join them in seeing if the portal would be fully functional.
Fath System
After taking a long as well vigorous journey to this part of the galaxy, the republic cruiser was right over the planet JanFathal to where nothing was going on. Along of how that things have been going alright, the ones that helped issue this 'experiment' was that of Obi wan along of Anakin who were in charge of the experiment that was about to happen. Right now the two were walking down the hallways discussing about this 'test drive' with the portal.
"Imagine it Anakin, for the first time ever. We will be able to witness that of a scientific like event which can define most of the republic science we know today."
Kenobi stated as he sound quite excited along glad to be apart of this moment, seeing how while hyperspace was a extreme advancement to spaceship flight. This was a whole other level of going from one place, to another.
"Yeah, but I still feel like this could be trouble. Seeing how the chancellor wanted to come along as well. Seeing that he did give the team the technology to have this happen."
Bringing up that if it wasn't for the chancellor's gracious hospitality, this wouldn't have happen along of allowing him to come with them to watch the experiment happen. Obi Wan, who somewhat had to agree on it had another opinion on the matter seeing how the animals were still rather touchy on how Palpatine has been.
"Well with the many assignments they've been given along that of how they don't want him near it due to the possibilities of it going wrong. This feels like a personal moment, they made sure that once it was complete. It be there's alone as well to not be replicated."
Explaining to his former apprentice that the animals were serious about the portal technology not falling into Republic hands, although grateful for what they have done. This type of power was not meant for anyone either of the lowest of men to that of the Jedi. Skywalker, remained quiet on that logic seeing how with how the Republic already having a clone army, a vast fleet of ships that can travel anywhere.
The idea of a portal that could send them anywhere could be, to much. The two arrived right at the docking station where most of the clone ships were away, as well how the Wild Force along with Ahsoka and Sionver were around the portal being ready for it's first test run.
"After much calculating for the right numeral equation as well being in a large enough space to fully activate the device. This, should work with how the only thing electrical is the ship."
Boll stated as she was making the necessary checks on making sure the portal would activate, the Jedi masters were looking at how after months of working. The portal seemed to be fully functional, as well ready to be tested. Sparky, who was looking at what his part would be. Was getting it explained by that of Quackers, who handed him a pair of metallic bars that connected to the portal.
"So here's the situation, with your energy hooked up to the portal. It will recognize the energy from you as well transfer it into the khyber crystals, while the sample that Kizaemon brought with him should help the portal locate earth. All you need to do, is focus your electricity into the machine which will allow it to activate. Got it?"
Quackers asking the dog to which Sparky, who had a bit of trouble understanding it due to how they were doing it off world as well far away from Coruscant. He merely nodded at the statement of what he needed to do, as well looked at how everyone was confident in him at how this could work. Everyone took a step back as the two scientist began to start up the portal, along of how they noticed the portal starting to light up.
"Well, like the old saying goes. 'smoke em if you got em'. Otherwise, hold onto your butts."
Ash stated as he had a small soda beverage with him as they all saw how Sparky, who was focusing his energy into the portal. His eyes lighting up blue along of charging up the device, everyone saw how it begun to spark up. Let alone how suddenly the lights across the ship begun to blink multiple times. The Jedi felt a rather powerful like presence due to the kyber crystals, along of how it was transferring Sparky's power into the device.
"Please be careful."
Ahsoka whispering to herself not saying it out loud for the others to hear, Sparky. Feeling somewhat of his energy being drained, they saw how the portal had fully opened up. Letting go of the bars, Sparky dropped on the ground feeling weak at how it took a lot out of him. Though it started, the portal was activated as well shining like it was a small sun. Everyone was looking at it like if it was fire.
"Guys, there's no word describe how both mad. And smart you two are at the same time."
Speed stated at how the cheetah was looking at the portal which was fully activated, though as it glowed brightly. It was interrupted by the sounds of blaster fires above them, apparently they were right now being invaded that of Separatist droids. There was no dreadnought but of a surprise attack.
"Were needed at the command deck now!"
Obi Wan called out as everyone was needed on deck, though the portal was online and couldn't be shut down. Sparky looked at the others informing them to join the Jedi masters on deck while he as well Sionver would stay at the portal to where it wouldn't be shut down. Everyone heading out, Sparky was still feeling a bit weak from the energy drain.
"Apparently from how much you gave to the portal, it somehow didn't just take your electricity but. That of your entire energy source that's going on in you."
Boll explained from how that when the portal activated, it somehow drained most of the energy that he used to be functional. This meant that there was some type of deal if they were able to travel back home, that it needed a whole lot of energy from Sparky to have it functional. Feeling like himself, he soon noticed a ship heading right threw the docking bay as it made it's way threw the shields.
Several clones rushed in to try and shoot it but the small fighter ship shot the clones along several entrances to not let anyone in. The two looked at the ship as it was only suited for one person, along of how it was quickly docking downwards. To which, Sparky felt a rather dark presence coming from it. Walking down from the ship was none other than Count Dooku, who happened to lead this surprise attack.
"Dooku?"
Sparky asked rather shocked at how the dark lord of the sith here, as well launched a surprise attack here. The bearded old man noticed the portal online as well how he and Sionver was near it, to which he had a emotionless like look on his face.
"Count, young one. And especially a curious one since we've never met face to face, though when one of my spies reported of this. 'Experiment' happening, I had to see for myself. As well obtain it, seeing how it could be used in a more appropriate way. In, reasonable hands."
Explaining how somehow one of his agents got word of the experimented and decided to intervene, especially to try and take it. Sionver, going over to the side to possibly grab that of a communicator. However Dooku stops her with a force choke hold, seeing this. Sparky quickly hurls his shield to the side which the sith lord stops it with midair while using the force.
"Throwing a shield? What kind of being uses a shield as a..."
Before Dooku could finish his sentence, Sparky was able to rush right to the shield and kick the shield that was being held up in the air. The force from the kick sent the shield right into Dooku's chest. Though at the same moment it flew to him, Dooku had to let go of Sionver as well activated his lightsaber. In which he blocks the shield attack, it quickly bounces off to Sparky as he catches it. Sionver saw how the communicator broke during the force choke as she saw both the robotic dog as well Sith lord staring at each other ready for a fight.
"Bold, foolish but bold none the less. At how a shield is much less of a weapon than a rifle or lightsaber."
Commending the dog on how he was being bold in challenging him with a defensive weapon and a offense one, Sparky. Not saying anything merely kept a strong stance in looking at Dooku. The sith lord getting into stance, he allowed the dog to rush him. So far the old man was able to avoid his punches as well technique with ease, along of studying how the dog was moving towards him.
"While you have had training against saber wielders let alone sword warriors, you are still sloppy. As well to predictable."
Dooku talking to Sparky like if he was a student, in which he tried to attack Sparky. Though luckily enough the dog had his shield to protect him from the lightsaber attacks. So far it was pure lucky for the dog to withstand Dooku's attacks since this was possibly his first encounter with Dooku. On the side was Sionver, who rushed to the portal and tried her best to shut it off, Dooku. Force pushing the dog looks at her, in which he fires a powerful electricity blast to her.
"No!"
Sparky cried out as he rushed over at all four taking the blast, receiving that of Dooku's force lighting. Sionver did her best keep cover as well deactivate the portal. Dooku, merely got annoyed by this setback as he continued to electrocute him.
"Although you try to play a hero, you are still just a machine. To which all machine can be, overloaded."
Dooku stating to how he could overload Sparky's body at how much electricity he could take, as the masked dog continued to absorb the energy. The dog was able to light up his hands, to which he uses all of his strength to strike the ground with both palms. Sending a powerful shockwave attack, it made Dooku flip backwards away from the dog as he could tell Sparky was capable of redirecting his lighting. He soon sense's that of some backup coming in which he rushed into his ship. Suddenly enough, the destroyed entrance was made wide open by that of Ash. Who had gotten that of severe droid shots as he made the opening.
"And where the hell is this intruder going?!"
Asking rather angry as he begun to shoot at the ship, Dooku. Having no time to face everyone quickly launches right out of the hanger bay as well into space. To which he made a quick like escape as well hitting to hyperspace. Everyone rushed over to see how most of the area was trashed, though the portal still active and nothing taken.
"It was Dooku, he tried to take the portal from us."
Sionver stated who was still a bit shaken up from how she almost died a few moments ago, the Jedi looked concern over how it was a bold move to come out in the open to attack a republic ship. Ahsoka, looked over to Sparky who was rather conflicted with what had happened.
"Next time, we use a small ship if we're going test out the first ever Republic based portal."
She suggested which the dog nodded, seeing how they were extremely lucky that they weren't invaded or even got attack by a dreadnought. Though the portal was active and could go online, though the only thing that they weren't able to test was that of going threw it. For now, they would need to head back to Coruscant to try and keep a better close watch on it. So that no one else get's word about this, let alone how that they would need to be careful for the next testing.
