Bible Teachings

Matthew 13: 24-30, Parables, News of Israel

Welcome back brothers and sisters to another Bible Teachings. Today we continue with Matthew 13 where we left off on parables for sower of seeds, and what they meant. Today we are continuing from there as we are being describe more parables explained. For some starting on this chapter or others, while going through the bible is what Bible Teachings is about for better understanding of God and his will for our lives, we also take this time to talk about current life struggles and encourage others in how we should act and how we can help our fellow man and woman in our times of need. None of us can live this life alone, unfortunate we live in society where if your not able to help yourself, then your not worth helping. The ability to serve others is one of many ways we can serve God as fellowship of Christ and part of the church. For Christ Jesus served others because he knew their lives needed hope, so for us followers of Christ we must show the world the light and way as Christ Jesus would have for us as personal savior and redeemer.

Parable of the weeds

Matthew 13: 24-30, describes about the weeds in the field and wheat mix together. Here when Jesus gave this parable, he first describe about kingdom of heaven and how the wheat are the good in his field. But then while everyone is sleeping the enemy place the weeds mix in the field. Here we are told about how those that serve and worship Christ are part of the good seed in the fields, yet in the field we also have the weeds mix together which are not only sin, but those who reject God. Yet while God knew of this, he allowed the weeds and wheat to grow together until the harvest, here we are also told that if they pulled out the weeds, they will pull out the wheat as well. For the time both are to grow until harvest. When this harvest happens they will gather all the weeds and bundle them to burn while those of the wheat will be gathered into the barns.

Later in Matthew 13 verse 36, the Disciples asked Jesus what does he mean by the weeds, fields and seed. Jesus answers them in verse 37-43, "The one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man. The field is the world and the good seed stands for the people of the kingdom. The weeds are the people of the evil one, and the enemy who sows them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are the angels. As the weeds are pulled up and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age. The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin, and all who do evil. They will throw them into the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their father. Whoever has ears, let them hear."

Much can be describe here both verses 24-30 are explained in verses 36-43. But it paints a clear picture of how God sees the world and how the world is like the field, and our actions can be describe our seeds sowed from the good seed or those of the weeds from the evil one. There are some people in this world considered good, yet their intention can be seen as evil from God's eyes because of how they are abomination to him. Some of these 'good people' as we see them are those spreading words against God and are seen as seeds made as weeds spreading around the field. When you see someone that is considered good, but is evil in God's eyes. You have to speak to them about what their doing, but not in boasting or judging way. Instead be someone that does this in respect and in private with them explaining or talking about this problem. If you care about someone you have to talk with them about the gospel and message God gives to us freely, when we care about someone we would speak to them for their sake. Cause many good people labeled today and live their life without knowing god will end up in destruction.

Parables of the Mustard Seed and Yeast

Verses 31-33 are speaking of more parables, one for the Mustard Seed. Where even if it's small it will grow into largest garden everyone will see. The Mustard seed can be describe how when first starting as followers of Christ, it was small at first yet with time still grew into many followers of Christ. Those numbers are still increasing as many are hearing his message and will not be able to deny Christ and his glory.

For the Parable of the Yeast Jesus spoke, "The Kingdom of heaven is like yeast, that a woman took and mixed into about sixty pounds of flour until it worked all through the dough." As stated before the interpretation can mean many things, but if there was one thing that can be describe is that the yeast turned into dough is not only how bread is used in the Bible, but also the spiritual food that is good for our souls. Of course this could be one interpretation and could mean another. But know when seeking his wisdom and understanding the seeks of Heaven are revealed to those seeking him and worship Christ in fear of the Lord and love towards him.

Parables of the hidden Treasure and the Pearl

For Matthew 13: 44-46, we are told about how hidden treasures of heaven is like pearls. Why pearls you may asked? Because in the time pearls are most precious like other treasures we see in the world. In fact some that wore these treasures have different meaning behind them. Pearls however are describe by God as perfect without any needs for cut or reshape by Man. Many times God has used different terms that are considered most precious or more of his children. When he speaks of Lambs, we are his precious lambs as they obey the shepherd called to them no matter where they are or hidden. You would find many meaning behind these terms and how they God views what is most valued.

The Parable of the Net

Here in Matthew 13: 47-52, we are told about the good fish and the bad fish. Same for the weeds that are describe, for those that are good fish will be taken by angels and brought into their basket and those that are bad fish will be sent into the furnace where many will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Folks one of the most important things to understand is how Hell wasn't meant for us, in fact this was meant for those fallen angels that disobey God. But with us fallen into sin and those who reject God will be sent towards Hell. Here you will be tormented for eternity with no end or salvation. Here you will experience an eternity without God, but also his wrath towards those who disobey God. There is only two pathways and there is no escape of the final day when our final breath will happen and the day we are all judge by Christ.

The Prophet without Honor

The final verses 53-58, are description of the people's responds to Jesus and his parable. Here we see many are arguing or trying to discredit Christ Jesus who he is and why he came to our world. Some question where his wisdom and miraculous power comes from and others try to say about his family or how he's the carpenter's son. Yet despite this Jesus simply said, "A Prophet is not without honor except in his own town and in his own home." The last verse states he didn't do many miracles because of their lack of faith.

Now before ending this, one of the key things we need to consider is why he did certain miracles in some towns and others he didn't. The answer lays in their faith, for while we aren't only to live by faith, but also in faithfulness. Yet here we are told their lack of faith in him, this is key towards following Christ as our faith must be great in order to understand and seek his presence. There will be times our faith is challenge and times you feel like giving up. But we need to remember what God has done for us and how in following Christ many blessings and fulfillment is made in us. For with him living as our spirit we are walking in Christ and there will be times our faith will be tested, its in those times we need to have the armor of God not just hard times, but everyday of our life.

Look towards Israel

One last thing before leaving today or night. There is some news happening around Israel, if your a Christian, Saint and Believer then you know that the time for this world will soon end. Much that is happening now is signs of the end days are now and we are approaching the tribulation. For those followers of Christ will be part of the rapture, and those who will be part of this world will be left behind.
