"So... not all DS males are fertile though?" Curtis was with Ianto while the house was quiet, Ianto coming across to someone he knew would understand his thoughts. A baby squish would not go astray either.

"No, not all reach a maturity physically to be able to father a child, but there are instances where it has happened. I do not doubt it is his, she only has eyes for him. Also… given the fact Ton was raised in a loving home with open affection and siblings who share openly… it is no wonder he learned about the birds and the bees… I fear Angel is also very computer literate and I hate to think what things they watched." Ianto grinned "the point is… they did it, are now in this condition and I have to move forward."

"Is she OK?"

"Unfortunately she does have a high risk of miscarriage… about 70% if I recall" Ianto sighed and Curtis grimaced at the thought.

"Does she know this?"

"No. Why upset her? Already five months… cheeky thing. No, I think if she was going to lose it she would have done so… I am now wondering if she knows all this already too. She has learned to investigate via Ton's internet surfing so… yeah. She is high risk but we will have to watch and hope for the best."

Curtis smiled "I know one thing for sure… no baby will ever be as loved and fussed over."

Ianto sighed "Yeah. That is one thing we can be sure about."

"Did her mother really ask that? I mean… gods. That is the same reaction people have to learning about Ton having DS. Seriously, I see it as no different to having blue eyes or…or … a limp. I don't see a DS man… I see Ton!" Curtis bristled.

"It's a 50/50 thing. Might birth a totally normal baby who will succeed them in every way… I don't see what the point of in even asking such a question" Ianto reached out to pat Curtis on the arm to calm him. "Besides, I think it was shock talking. Hopefully she asks the doctor instead without Angel in the room."

"So… some changes happening across the board. Wow. You know… this little one will have some things gown out of by then, won't you stinker" Curtis crooned as his daughter snuffled into Ianto's chest with happiness.

"Not a big gap either… might be good playmates" Ianto agreed as he rubbed the little fuzzy head of his youngest grandchild and reveled in the hair that was so much like the buzz cut Cutis wore in summer. "How is your sister?"

"Great, already back to her yoga and running. Said to thank you for the wonderful gift basket. She was really touched by it. A lot of people gushed over us and the baby… trust you to think of her."

"Well… she did all the work after all" Ianto said as he watched the tiny mouth purse before the little one settled again.

He knew he was going to welcome this new baby with open arms.
