On the other side of the sea, the warriors are put to the test.

A little boy looks up to see a bird flying above him. "Hey," he said, "It's dangerous here...fly away...somewhere...far away."

A older boy rushes to his side. "Falco!" He said.

"Huh? What's my older brother doing here?" Falco asked.

"Good! You're still talking," the older boy said.

"Colt!" A soldier said before he got shot.

Colt picked up Falco and put him on his back. "Okay! Hold on!" He ran while carrying Falco. A machine gun fired and killed two soldiers. Colt screamed as he ran faster and landed near the base.

"Falco!" A little girl grabbed him and put him on the ground.

A man came out of the room. "Colt? Status report?"

Colt breathed heavily. "It was a direct hit. The Eldian unit at the front got blown away."

"And the trench?"

"It's hopeless! We can't dig any farther!"

"We can't? You're calling the shots? A Eldian giving orders?"

"Watch your tone with Commander Magath, you mutt!" The man behind Magath said.

Colt spoke. "But...at this rate..."

"Falco, are you drunk?" The gray haired little girl asked.

"He must've hit his head really hard," the little girl in front of him said.

"Do you remember this war we've been in for four years?" The kid with glasses asked.

"Who...are you guys? Wait...huh? Wasn't I flying around with a sword just now? Like, whoosh and there were Titans that I-" Falco was interrupted when the girl spilled water on him.

"Guess I'll just have to tell you everything from the start," the girl said. "listen up good Falco. This battle is the climax of a war that's lasted for four years. If we can take out Fort Slava...well, technically, if we sink the Mid-East Allied Forces Fleet in its port, it'll spell victory for Marley and end the war. But unless we take out Fort Slava sitting on the high ground. It's hopeless to attack the port."

"Why can't the Marley fleet do it themselves?" The gray haired little girl asked.

"Seriously, Zofia?! You have faith in the fleet?! It took those imbeciles four years to control the seas!" The kid with glasses started pulling the bandages on Falco's head.

"Ow! Ow! Ow! Ugh! Ow!" Falco said.

"And guess what?! They lost half their dang ships doing it! Now they're telling us they're too chicken to attack till we take the fort?! Screw 'em all! They're pricks!" The kid said as he tighten the bandages on Falco's head.

The little girl hit the kid's head. "Udo, you're gonna squeeze Falco's head off," she said.

"Whoops! Sorry!" Udo said.

"So what's the deal? Why'd they send us Warrior candidates to the front lines?" Falco asked.

"To judge us, obviously," she said. "to pick which one of us is gonna be the next Warrior. The time is coming. Commander Magath chose the front lines to be our final test. He knows what's on the horizon. The plan to conquer Paradis needs a main player...the successor of the War Hammer Titan."

Falco looked at his hands. "The War Hammer Titan," he said.

"I wonder which one of us it'll be," she said.

"Really Gabi? Sounds to me like you're saying none of us come close to you," Falco said.

"Because you don't, right?" Gabi asked.

"Well, Gabi does have us beat," Zofia said.

"As far as our grades go," Udo said.

"No," Gabi said, "there's more to it than grades, Udo. I keep telling you. The difference between us is that I'm prepared. To shoulder the fate of us Eldians...and to slaughter that island of devils who've done nothing but made us suffer! I'm gonna win this battle and prove that the Eldians left in this world are good Eldians! I refuse to lose till I free everyone from the internment zone!"

"Um, what exactly are you doing?" Falco asked.

Gabi finished wrapping up her weapon and showed it to Falco. "Pretty cool, right?"

Magath came out of the room. Colt followed him as he spoke. "It won't work, Commander Magath! We can't destroy the railroad without taking out the machine gun slaughtering us first. They've got soldiers along every inch of the trench. To top it off, the fort can bombard us whenever they want. If we stay here too long, they'll just shower us with shells!"

"Do you have a better idea Colt?" Magath asked.

"We should let the Cart Titan loose," he said. "Galliard, Pieck and the panzer unit will get it done. They'll wipe out the trench and bunker in a flash."

"No," Magath said, "If we play our cards wrong, we lose."

"Commander Magath, that showed up," the man said as he gave him the binoculars.

"What showed up?" Colt asked.

"That," Magath said, "An armored train. It's equipped with four massive cannons in total. They're the Allied Forces's new weapon...anti Titan cannons. If one of those 150mm rounds hits a Titan, it'll kill it in a single shot. Even one of the nine."

"But the Cart Titan is incredibly fast," Colt said. "The odds of hitting its nape-"

"And if they did?" Magath asked.

"We would lose a Titan and a Warrior," Colt said. "with no guarantee that we get their powers back."

"That's right," Magath said. "just like our plan nine years ago to retake the Founding Titan resulted in us losing the Armored Titan, Jaw Titan, the Colossal Titan and the Female Titan. The perceived hit to Marley's military might is what sparked this war, putting the Paradis Island Operation on hold. What is it that makes our motherland Marley so great?"

"The Power of the Titans," Colt said.

"Correct," Magath said, "our nation won't last if we keep losing 'em. The Power of the Titans is absolute and it must always remain that way." He turned to look at the man behind him. "Prepare the Eldian unit for attack!"

"Yes, sir!" The man said as he left.

"Commander Magath! But that's-" Colt was interrupted.

"What's the matter Eldian? Are you not Warriors who swore loyalty to Marley? This is a chance for the 800 Eldians here to serve our motherland with honor."

The Eldian soldiers were sitting down scared for their lives. A soldier opened their military water canteen and drank a little bit of water. "All creatures drink of joy at nature's breast." A Eldian said.

"Everyone up! Prepare to attack!" The man said.

The Eldians stood up but one soldier stayed on the ground. "C'mon! Stand up!" The soldier said.

"Eldians! Your mission is to assault and destroy the enemy railroad! The suicide squad will rush the bunker and disable the machine gun! Listen up! Let your actions purge the disgrace of being spawn of the devil! This is your chance to be honored by our great motherland Marley! Prove yourselves worthy!" The man said.

"Yes, sir!" The Eldians said.

"You Warrior candidates are to stand by," Magath said. "the 800-strong Eldian unit must destroy the rail at whatever cost. As long as that armored train is patrolling the fort, the War Hammer and Beast Titan can't do what they came for.

Colt sighed. "But..."

Magath put his fist on Colt's chest. "Colt," he said, "as the chosen successor of the Beast Titan, learn what it means to lead already." He looked at the armored train with the binoculars and noticed it coming to them.

"Perfect," he said, "we can destroy the train, too."

"Please, let me take a shot at it," Gabi said.

Magath looked at her. "Huh?"

"Ta-da," she showed him her weapon. "if you'll let me, I can disable the armored train all on my own!"

"Hey, Gabi!" Falco said.

"How much do you think Marley's spent training you all these years? Heck no." Magath said.

"It's true," Gabi said. "I am exceptional compared to Falco and the others. There may never be another Warrior as talented as I am. Not to mention one this cute. But if I succeed, we won't lose the whole unit of 800 Eldians!"

"And if you fail?" Magath asked.

"You lost just one promising candidate and seven hand grenades," Gabi said. "If you think I'm more valuable than 800 Eldian soldiers, I totally understand. You love me so much that you'd rather sacrifice the lives of 800 soldiers over me-"

"Fine," Magath said, "go ahead."

Falco's eyes widened. "Gabi, don't-"

"I swear! I will prove to you that I am worthy of inheriting the War Hammer Titan!" Gabi said.

Falco's cheeks turned pink. Gabi took her Warrior clothes off. "What are you doing?" Magath asked.

"For this to succeed," Gabi said. "please allow me to remove my armband."

"Very well," Magath said.

At the bunker, two soldiers notice Gabi walking to them. "Hey," the first solider holding his rifle said, "someone's coming."

The second soldier zoomed in with the machine gun. "It's a woman," he said. "girl actually. I think she's surrendering."

"No wait," the first solider said. "she might be Eldian."

"It looks like something's wrong with her," the second soldier said. "she's dragging her leg."

"What if she's Eldian? Shoot her before she turns into a Titan." the first solider said.

"Screw that," the second soldier said. "If you want to shoot her, you do it."

The first solider sighed. "Crap," he said as he aimed his gun at Gabi. She fell down to the ground. "What the?"

"She fell down," The second solider said. "maybe she's tired."

Gabi removed the grenades from her leg and watched the train move on the rails. "Wait," she said, "wait for it...wait!"

"She ain't moving," The first solider said.

"Who cares? Shoot her!" The second soldier said.

The train moved to the bunker. Gabi's eyes widened. "Now's my chance!" She threw the grenades at the train and they blew up. The train crashed into the bunker.

"She really did it," Magath said. "Pieck! Hurry up!"

Gabi cheered and started running back to base. "Darn it! You Marleyan cowards! This is why you bastards all deserve to die!" The second soldier said as he was shooting machine gun bullets at her.

"Gabi!" Falco said as he got up and ran.

"Falco, don't!" Colt said.

Falco ran to her. Gabi ran and jumped in the hole. Falco jumped in the hole with her. They landed in the hole and looked up to see the Cart Titan above them.

"Pieck!" Gabi said.

The Cart Titan ran to the solider who was firing the machine gun and Galliard shot him with his machine gun. The blimp in the sky was now moving to the enemy's base. The soldier hanged up the phone. "The armored train has been disabled," he said. "we'll now commence the airborne assault. Remember to stick to the plan. Zeke will be our spear and Lara will be our shield."

The battle begins...
