Nick parked the car at the retail park, and turned to her, hey, he whispered as she undone the seatbelt. Another kiss and then he said, let's go buy us some furniture. They walked to the first store hand in hand. She playfully smacked him and said, time to get serious, we have to get our important heads on. He laughed and said, lets see how long it lasts. They wandered around various sofa sets. Just as she stood up a staff member approached them and asked if they needed any help. Nick smiled and said, yes actually, we'd like to order this couch, and that one over there. They walked back to the other one and they went through the details, then back to the main couch. So, is it just this you would like? or do you want the chair or cuddle couch to match? asked the staff member. Amanda and Nick looked at each other confused then her… cuddle couch? Amanda repeated. The lady smiled and said yes, here, I'll show you. She walked them over to another section and said, these are our cuddle couches she proudly said. We've actually just ordered another one for the kids she laughed. Amanda laughed. I can see why you just sink into it don't you? Ok Nick said I think we've got a winner here, so we definitely want this too. Amanda laughed, yeah, this will be my seat, Oh I don't know mi amor he replied chuckling, if we can't share this one then it'll cause arguments in our house too. The lady laughed glad it won't be just mine then. As Nick got up, he looked down at Amanda again, you know, I think we need the footstool to match too, and maybe instead of that other couch we should look at another one of these. As he helped her up Amanda said, I think you're right. She asked the lady if they could see other cuddle couches. She walked them over to a few others and Nick said, that one. Yep Amanda replied, that's the perfect shape for that room, He then said, maybe we should get one for the study instead of the other one? Yeah, she smiled, and our sitting room he added. After an hour they walked out holding hands. Well that's one important job done he said, and I'm loving our cuddle couch he whispered, and he kissed her temple. They stopped off at a small diner for some dinner then drove back to Nick's house. Why are we coming back here Amanda? he asked her. At around 11.30pm they were both sitting on the couch listening to music. They had been busy bagging items up, making piles of keep, rubbish and donate. She hung up the phone and looked at Nick, let me guess he sighed. Yep, I've got the short straw baby, where is your phone? He looked at her, why? Well apparently, Sonny has been trying to call you, Fin is babysitting and Liv is with Noah who is still sick by the way. As she got up to get changed, he stood up and looked for his phone. He couldn't see it anywhere so shouted, babe, you may phone my phone as I still can't find it. She pushed the call button as she got ready and heard it ringing. She smiled, it's ok baby I've found it she called to him. He appeared at the door and said "Where?" she laughed, among the pile of clothes we ditched over there, she looked at him and bit her bottom lip. Oh, he grinned sheepishly. That'll be why we didn't hear it. He walked over and picked up the pile, got his phone then said, I'll put these in the wash. You'll have to hold that thought she said, I've gotta go. You want me to come with you he asked? No, Sonny doesn't need to know about us tonight she replied, although she turned to him, we are going to have to tell him soon. He smiled, yeah, I know, can it wait at least another week though? She looked at him, why? Well it's our 1-month anniversary this week, I want to keep you to myself just a tiny bit longer. I want our anniversary to be special. She smiled and walked over to him, Ok, she said and kissed him, I've never acknowledged a 1-month anniversary before. He smiled, well me neither, but I am now. Am I going to be allowed to know about it she asked, not just yet he said, but you will soon, I promise, he smiled. She kissed him again and said, OK you go get some sleep, at least one of us will get a decent night's sleep tonight. Hey, he said, I'll phone him and tell him I'm coming, and you stay here. No, it's OK baby she smiled. You got called in last night and this morning, you need some proper sleep. Hopefully I'll be back soon. Ok he kissed her again. See you soon.
