"Mommy," Lily says as her hand reaches for the big belly.

"Yes, peanut?" Kate says when her daughter doesn't say anything else.

"Does it hurt?" she asks as she carefully strokes her mom's belly.

"Does what hurt baby?"

Kate looks at her daughter, observes as she can practically see the wheels turning inside that beautiful brain of hers. Lily seems really focused on her belly and Kate wonders if she's starting to realize for real that there's something growing in that belly.

"My brothers, is they hurting you?" she asks and Kate chuckles at the grammar. Before they knew she was pregnant with twins they always referred to the belly as one baby, therefore the 'is' and not 'are'.

"No, baby, they are not hurting me," she says, very subtly giving the young girl the correct word. "They will grow a bit more, just like you did, before they come out to us."

"You get bigger?" the girl asks.

"Yeah, I'll get bigger," Kate strokes her belly a bit before her hand reaches her daughter's cheek. "And then I'll get smaller again, after they come out my belly will go back to the way it was before we decided to have another baby."

"Did you decide or daddy decide?" Lily asks as she continues to stroke the belly, she looks hypnotized.

Kate chuckles, leaning forwards to kiss the top of the girl's head. "We both did."

"We both did what?"

Kate looks up through the meadow to see her babies' daddy come towards them.

"Daddy!" Lily shouts as she flies up to run towards Castle and Kate laughs.

"Hey peanut," he shouts and catches her to lift her up into his arms.

"You done writing?" Lily asks and he nods.

"Yes, I am completely yours for the rest of the weekend," he promises and Kate smiles. "So, what do you want to do first?"

Lily pretends to think for a while, both parents already knowing what's going on in the little girl's mind. "Ice cream!" she yells out and the two adults laugh.

"Let me help your mommy up and we'll go get ice cream, walk on the beach," he suggests and Lily nods eagerly.

Castle puts down their daughter and walks the last feet to reach out for Kate's hands. Once he has a hold of her he pulls her up onto her feet and she quickly leans up and pecks his lips in a thank you kiss.

"Let's go," she says and takes her daughter's hand as her husband takes the other hand.

"Ice cream!" Lily exclaims excitedly and the three of them walks off towards their favorite ice cream spot.
