She giggled as they're under the sheets with him kissing along her body. "You taste amazing," he whispers in her ear then kissed her there. He then moves to her lips kissing her some more. They pulled away hearing knocks on the door. "Do they not understand what a sock on the door means?" He grunted then pulled the sheet down to grab his pants.
Katherine came slithering in with a smile on her face twirling the sock on her finger. She was surprised to see it though her friend wasn't shy in sharing the details so much so much so that it could've made her wet.
"Well, well, well, look at what we have here."
"Kat,"
"Bon," she tossed her the sock. "I think you seemed to forget that we had plans." She folded her arms.
"I was just leaving." He slipped on his shirt then walked over to her. "I'll call you later. I love you."
"I love you too."
He smiled then leaned in even more kissing her repeatedly until Katherine cleared her throat. Stefan kissed her a little longer then pulled away. "Cock block." He mumbled walking past Katherine making her chuckle.
He headed straight to his car and headed home needing to check in with Damon. He still couldn't believe that this was happening and wondered when exactly did Kassidy become a vampire hunter in the first place. Maybe she was torn up about the breakup that she decided to hate and kill all vampires ever starting with him. He sighed pulling into the driveway. He sent a text to Bonnie letting her know that he was thinking about her just to make her smile and got out of the car. Damon was on his way out making him pause. "Where are you going?"
"Well while you were out playing house with Bonnie I was actually figuring out a way to stop these idiots."
"And?"
"And I got a lead."
"From who?"
"Does it really matter? Come on, let's get this over with." Stefan watched him for a little before getting into the passenger seat of his car. "You know what I just don't understand?" Damon asked after a while.
"What?"
"How can you even hold a relationship, with a human nonetheless and not drain every ounce of blood from their bodies like you so famously do."
"I'm a sucker for love, what can I say, it's my ultimate weakness. I don't kill the women or men I know."
"Yet you'll kill Kassidy?"
"That's different. She threatened me and my girlfriend so I'm bending my rules."
"You think you can actually kill her though?" He looked over at his brother.
"I guess we'll find out." He let out a breath.
Bonnie rolled her eyes as Katherine exaggerated the morning to Caroline who was believing every word though she countlessly called her out on her lies. She eventually found it pointless and ate her muffin as the story continued.
"I'm glad I got there when I did or else the bed would have definitely been broken."
"Bonnie Bennett, who knew you had it in you."
"You really believe this lying hoe?"
They laughed. "But with all jokes aside," Katherine continued, "you two seem really happy which makes me happy for you, Bon."
"Thanks, Kat." She hugged her. "I have to use the bathroom, I'll be back." She stood then walked inside the restaurant because they decided to eat outside. She gasped once she walked in and spotted Kassidy standing there waiting for her.
"Now do you believe that this isn't a dream, Bonnie? Do you finally grasp the fact that this is indeed real?"
Her head started to spin but she reminded cool. "I still don't care."
"Bonnie," she sighed. "Please be smart about this."
"I am being smart about this. He will never hurt me."
"It's not just about you, Bonnie." She tried not to yell. "It's about Georgia and Marci and Regina. If you let this monster roam free, every life that he takes is blood on your hands."
Bonnie stumbled back when Kassidy's shoulder bumped into hers on her way out. She squats as her words hit her like bricks then rubs her fingers through her hair. She still very much hated the idea of going behind Stefan's back. Maybe she could help him, maybe she could make him come clean, she could help him with his blood lust.
The brothers stepped out of the car eyeing the shack-like place and walked towards it. "No one's home." Damon noticed hearing no heartbeats.
"That means they're more than likely spying on Bonnie." Stefan sighed then reached for his phone in his pocket as it vibrated. "Speaking of," he read the message from Bonnie asking if he could come over to her father's place so she could cook for him making a note to say that her dad was out of town. "You think it's a trap?"
"Call her and listen to her voice, see if it's changed. I'll be inside."
Stefan watched him walk up waiting for him to be stopped at the threshold but he surprisingly got in. He narrowed his eyes thinking that they're more stupid than he thought but turned his back towards walking over to the car calling Bonnie. He turned up the radio a little. "Her, baby."
"Hey, Stef, did you get my text?"
"I did, what are you making me?"
"That's a surprise."
He smiled. "Alright, well I'm actually driving right now so I'll call you before I leave."
"Alright, baby, I'll see you tonight. I love you."
"I love you too." He ended the call relieved then went to join his brother. "I have nothing to worry about. With Bonnie at least, what the hell, she has a shrine of me?"
"I have one too, don't grow a big head. Something tells me that they've been at this for a while. They just didn't have the manpower they do now."
"Why do you say that?"
"Because I'm sure if they had the strength, we would've been captured by now. They had many chances and it's not like they didn't know, if I remember correctly, you fed off Kassidy."
"Maybe they didn't know, Kassidy kept our relationship a secret from her buddies. Maybe they were just waiting to find us in vampire mode."
"I'm sure she hinted something or else we wouldn't be the only suspects."
He sighed. "You find anything else?"
"Not really. We should go I feel like this place is going to explode."
Stefan narrowed his eyes but followed his brother out.
Bonnie looked back hearing the doorbell ring then let out a breath grabbing the knife in her hand. She closed her eyes counting to three in her then made a small cut on the outside of her left pointer finger. "Shit," she cursed at the sting then went to answer the door. Stefan smiled then frowned smelling blood seeing her hold her finger.
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah, it's just a small cut."
"Here, let me help you." He led her to the kitchen and turned on the sink to run her finger through the water. "Do I need to supervise you every time you cook?" He smiled then kissed her head.
"I hope not, that'll be annoying." She teased. He chuckled then moved her finger away from the water grabbing a napkin to pat it dry. She smiled then he kissed it. "Thank you, baby."
"You're welcome. I love you."
She was surprised when he hugged her and she hugged him back tightly. "I love you too." There was no way that her Stefan was a murder. He took care of her, tended her wound, he couldn't possibly be the cause of so many deaths.
Stefan breathed in and out calming himself down a little then pulled away to kiss her. "Now that my baby is okay, what's for dinner?"
"Well I know how much you like steak, so I made us some along with mashed potatoes and broccoli— don't judge and some homemade French fries."
"Not sure if I could eat all that but I'll sure as hell try."
She chuckled. "Your nasty raw steaks are on the blue plate." She told him, taking the potatoes and fries with her to the table.
He chuckled then took what's left over to the table joining her, sitting across from her like always. He looked at her hearing her heart race then she let out a breath.
"Stefan, before we start, there's something I need to tell you."
He sat his fork and knife down. "Okay,"
"I...I know,"
"Know what?"
"I know what you are."
"What are you talking about?"
"Stefan stop playing dumb. I know that you're a vampire and I'm not afraid. I'm not afraid of you or who you are because I know that you're a good person. Am I stupid for believing in you?" She watched his eyes.
"No, you're not stupid."
"But I am mad at you. You didn't tell me and we've been together for three years. Three years, Stefan and you didn't even hint it to me. Nothing, not a question about if I believe in supernatural things or even if I saw a ghost before. You claim to love me, Stefan, but you keep the most important part of you hidden from me. That's not love."
"Bonnie-"
"Get out,"
He was shocked. "Babe, if you let me just-"
"Get out, Stefan."
He watched her pleadingly but when she didn't change her mind he sighed in defeat and stood from the table walking towards the door. He paused with his hand on the knob. "Do you still want to be with me?" He didn't look back scared to face possible rejection.
"I have to think about it."
"Can I at least explain myself, Bonnie?"
She shook her head, "Not right now."
He opened the door them walked out without another word. Bonnie exhaled sitting back down placing her head in her hands.
Stefan slammed his car door shut and stomped into his home feeling the monster inside him ready to explode. "Damon! Damon!"
"Easy, what's going on?"
"I have to kill her, I have kill her."
"Who Bonnie?"
"No, not Bonnie you fucking idiot, Kassidy."
"What happened?"
"She got to her, she got to Bonnie, made her basically break up with me. She's pissed that I didn't tell her. I need to kill her."
"And I agree, but we can't just bust in there."
"Why the hell not?"
"Because it's irrational, that's how you get your ass killed, you're not thinking clearly."
"Fine. Tomorrow then. I'm killing her ass tomorrow." He brushed past him going upstairs to his room pulling out his phone. "Baby please let me explain, I'm- I'm sorry I just didn't want to lose you which is why I didn't tell you, but if I can do it all over again and tell you sooner, I would. Just, just please don't leave me, baby, please. I love you." He sighed hanging up the phone. That was the first time that she's ever ignored his call. It rang once then her voicemail message played.
He texted her next knowing that she at least had to read those because of the alerts. He texted his apology and memories that they shared together hoping to win her back. He reminded her of their love and of their sex and passion. He didn't know he could feel so strongly about an individual so everything was surprising to him an hour later realizing all he's done.
Bonnie sat in front of Kassidy explaining the situation to her as they ate the meal she had made for Stefan and her. She really didn't mean to kick him out, but she was so caught up in her speech that it just happened and she somewhat regrets it.
"I completely understand, Bonnie. Like I told you at the hotel, I was somewhat in this situation, I'm just glad that you got out before you got hurt."
"But I love him. I love him so much it hurts and I know it's selfish and I don't- I just need some more time. I really want to help you."
"I appreciate that, Bonnie. Take the week to think and I'll get in contact with you again, okay?"
Bonnie nodded then stood walking her to the door. She sighed seeing him call again but decided to answer. "Hello?"
"Bonnie," he sighed in relief. "Let me see you so I can explain, please. I didn't mean to hurt you or disrespect you at all. I'm sorry, please."
"Stefan,"
"We don't have to talk if you don't want to, not today, I just need you. I need you."
Bonnie ran her fingers through her hair contemplating. "Okay, okay,"
"You mean it?"
"Yes."
"Okay, I'm on my way."
She ended the call then walked back inside and get rid of any traces of Kassidy or that she had a guest over at all. Bonnie finished cleaning up by the time Stefan knocked on her door. She sighed then walked calmly over to her door then opened it. Stefan wanted to touch her immediately and kiss her all day but he refrained. "Can I come in, please?"
She watched him for a few seconds before stepping aside letting him walkthrough. "I don't...I don't want to talk."
He nodded, "Okay. Y'want to just go upstairs?"
She nodded then quietly followed behind him up the stairs to her room. He got on the bed and she followed, exhaling feeling his arms wrap around her. He smoothed back her hair and kissed her head in their embrace. "I know you don't want to talk, but I want to explain. I didn't tell you because when I'm with you, I feel human again. I never get hungry for blood, I can control myself. And selfishly enough, I just didn't want to lose you. I love you, Bonnie, and I'm sorry. Okay, I'm sorry for lying to you all these years. I need a second chance, please give me a second chance." He looked into her eyes waiting.
"I never wanted to break up with you. I'm sorry,"
"No," he held her, "don't apologize, you had every right to. I love you, baby, and I'm sorry."
"I love you too."
He pulled away then kissed her moving her to her back.
He caressed her sleeping face feeling so at peace with himself that it almost made him worry. Once Bonnie fully grasps the fact that he's a vampire and everything that it entails, she's bound to leave him eventually. He would try to make her see the pros of the cons; they won't be able to have children, but at least they can fuck like rabbits without any hint of worry. They won't be able to grow old together, but he'll gladly be her bitch in the cougar scenario. That, or she can turn. But though he loves her, does he really want to spend all eternity with her? He guesses it's not just her choice to make. He's never dated a vampire simply because of said reason, all eternity, century after century after century with the same woman, how can anyone do that? He blinked, opening his eyes to her smiling face. She chuckled.
"Where were you just now?"
"Outer Space," he chuckled then she did. His eyes widened when she got on top of him sitting up.
"Was I there with you?"
"You're always there with me."
"Yeah?"
He nodded biting down on his lower lip. "Come here,"
She smiled moving her hair to the side leaning in meeting their lips but moved away to bite his lower lip. He groaned as she pulled then released. Stefan sat up slightly meeting their lips in a rough kiss turning her over, driving his hips into her.
"Let me see your face."
"My vampire face?" He grinned when she nodded then slowly revealed himself to her. He watched her eyes trail his face but closed his eyes as she licked his fangs. "Damn," he leaned moving his head beside her neck licking her there.
"Does it hurt?"
"I will never hurt you, baby." He kissed her. "Just a pinch in the beginning," he kissed her again.
"Okay,"
"You want me to?"
"Yes."
"You mean it?" He looked into her eyes and she nodded.
Stefan let out a breath then kissed her gently slowly moving his lips down to her neck before sinking his fangs into her neck. She gasped at the contact then moaned feeling him slide in her and start moving his hips in a steady motion. He pulled away quickening his movement, licking her wounds. Bonnie grabbed his face staring at the red before driving his face into hers, kissing him deeply. Stefan groaned now pounding into her meeting her headband to the wall thumping at contact. When she pulled away to breathe, the blood on her face made him want to turn her right then and there, he's fed off of Kassidy, but never has she kissed him with blood on his face. It was a first for him and nothing could ever top this moment.
Bonnie comes moaning to the ceiling and he's stiffening the next second in a groan as his hand gripped the top of the headboard. Heavy breaths filled the room and Stefan rolls on his side with a puff catching up on his breathing. He chuckled closing his eyes then looks over at her before kissing her cheek.
"That was- damn, that was-"
She laughed a little at his loss for words then watched him bite into his wrist and hold it up to her mouth explaining its abilities. She drank then felt her wounds close in a matter of seconds. "That's amazing," she said in wonder. "What else can you do as a vampire?"
He exhaled. "Well, vampires can heal people with blood, obviously, we can compel people just by looking into their eyes getting humans to do anything and everything we want."
"Can you compel me?"
"I can, but I won't because I love and respect you enough to not want to."
"And I appreciate that, but I just want to see how it would be."
He looked into her eyes before exhaling again. "Have you worn your bracelet recently?"
"No, I left it here, why?"
"Vampires one weakness, besides a wooden stake, is vervain. It's a herb that has the ability to make us weak and also has the power to stop humans from being compelled. The bracelet I gave you has a vervain charm so if you wear it, I can't compel you."
She smiled. "I thought you said you loved me too much to not compel me?"
"True," he pressed his lips against hers, "but just in case another vampire gets to you or just in case you break up with me and I want to compel you to change your mind because I love you so much, I won't be able to. And also you can sort of accidently compel people like if you just really want a person to shut the hell up," she chuckled, "it's so easy just to look into their eyes."
"So what are you going to tell me to do?"
"If I tell you, what fun would that be?" She smiled then watched as his face line up with hers. "Are you working with Kassidy?"
"She thinks I am, but I'm not."
"Are you afraid of me?"
"'Afraid' isn't the word I'd use,"
"Then what word would you use?"
"Conflicted,"
"Is that why you're asking me all these questions, having me do all these things?"
"It's exactly why."
He smiled. "Forget we had this conversation." He watches the memories leave her. "When we go out on our date tonight, you will feed me the last bite of your food."
She blinked. "What happened?"
"You'll find out later."
She narrowed her eyes, "Okay, what else?"
"We can run really fast, our senses are heightened to the max, we can hear the smallest of sounds, break through walls, lift and carry heavy things. Live forever."
"You say it like it's a bad thing."
"Isn't it?"
"How old are you?"
"One hundred sexy eight."
Her eyes grew. "That's old, baby, I think we need to break up."
He chuckled. "You love me too much to do that."
"Very true."
He smiled. "One more thing, babe, you can't tell anyone about me. It needs to be a secret just between us, okay?"
She nodded, "Okay,"
He closed his eyes moving his head to rest on her chest. "I'm gonna take a quick nap, then we'll shower together, then we'll get ready for the romantic dinner I have planned for us."
She smiled. "Okay," she started playing with his hair until she dozed off herself.
...
Stefan kissed the top of her head smiling down as she smiled up at him and pressed a kiss to her lips. "Do you love me?"
"Of course I do."
"Did you find a house for us yet?"
"Not yet, I haven't had much time to look." He nodded. "Besides, do you want to stay in Mystic Falls?"
"What do you mean?"
"I mean with Kassidy and her partners wanting to kill you and who knows who else they're working with, is it a good idea for you to just be a sitting duck?"
"Don't worry about that, I'm having it handled."
"What does that mean?"
"It means I'm taking care of it,"
"Stefan."
"Bonnie, I have to. Running away in my world solves nothing. They'll always find me no matter what unless I do something that permanently makes them stop looking."
"What if we three sit down and talk things over. You promise to not kill any more humans—which we need to further discuss by the way, and if you keep up the end of your deal, she and whoever else leaves you alone."
"Bonnie that's-"
"The only reason why she's after you is that she thinks you're dangerous and a monster so prove to her that you aren't and all will be fine. Killing people is not always the answer."
"Bonnie there's more to it than that."
"What?"
He exhaled. "She and I used to… date. Before I really met you, we were together. I don't think any type of deal will fix things. It's personal to her, not business."
"Then maybe we can talk to her partners instead."
"Babe,"
"Please, let's just try and if it doesn't work out then it doesn't work out but I want to at least try. With or without you."
"Fine. I'll come, the last thing I want them to do is to try anything."
She nodded. "Now about those women,"
"Can we not?"
"No. Why did you kill them?"
"I- I'm not an average vampire, I'm a Ripper. When I get hungry, I lose control, I lose my humanity, my emotions, but when it's all said and done and I'm full and I notice what I've done, I'm very regretful. Sometimes I brush it off like it's nothing but in the end, after I think about it, I hate myself a little more. I'm a monster but I don't really mean to be."
"Why do you wait so long to feed then? If you do it regularly then maybe you can stop it."
"Because my life is never a smooth ride and this situation is only a glimpse of what I go through. Feeding is the last thing on my mind when I have people out to kill me and them trying to turn you against me. My main focus is on you and us, not if I'm hungry."
She looked away in thought. "Well if your focus is on me," she returned her eyes back to his, "then feed off me. You'll never harm me or kill me, I know that and you know that and everyone does so whenever we're together, I'll let you drink from me. As much as you need."
"Bonnie-"
"Stefan, I love you. Let me do this for you."
He watched her eyes. "Okay,"
She smiled then met their lips, kissing him gently.
Kassidy sat back in on her chair in the back of the van after listening to their conversation. She exhaled deeply then decided to go home.
