Chapter 57

Yuuki pulled out the gun from her bedside table and looked at it earnestly.

"If at any time I lose the human part of me and go out of control, use this."

Oh Zero!

This was what Zero requested her, when he handed her the gun. Yuuki's heart became heavier at the memory. Even now she hopes for that time to never come where she would be forced to fulfill the promise.

The brunette shook her head and quickly pushed all thoughts back before exiting her room. After all it is no time to be dwelling in the past when everyone in present is in danger.

Sitting at the edge of his coffin Kuran Rido snickered; and in the middle of it licked his lips again, just to get the last remanent of his daughter's taste.

Through their bond he detected her whereabouts. Only to let out a low growl when realized where or rather what position she was in.

...That lucky bastard!

In one sharp moment Kaname flipped their bodies and came atop her.

With the hips settled between her legs, his lips started to avidly kiss her neck... throat... chest and went on to caress whatever exposed skin it could find in those areas.

His one hand was over her head, knotted onto her hair while the other was ardently rubbing the side of her waist and thigh.

The girl laying beneath him had her arms awkwardly wrapped around his large clothed back, tightly clutching onto the fabric of his light blue shirt. Her eyes were devoid of all emotions; but somehow a single drop of tear managed to escape the corner of those vacant blue eyes.

A victorious smile made its way to her lips.

Aiyora too was feeling something. It was sense of power and great pride. She felt proud of herself, on what she has achieved. The person to whom Juuri had entrusted her daughter's future to, the person who is supposed to love and cherish that very daughter, is now under the full control of the supposed sacrificial lamb.

Oh the irony!

Karma is 69. You always get back what you give.

Senri stood outside Rima's door and mutedly watched the girl who without a care in the world risked everything to save him. In the end she successfully showed him what true friendship is.

"Sen...ri... you fool! Letting someone take over your body... what are you doing? YOU REALLY NEED TO LOVE YOURSELF MORE SENRI!"

He walked in and went closer, just to have a good look at her.

"I heard you..." he spoke without being aware of it. "...when you called out to me back there, I heard it. Thank you... Rima."

The Shiki heir had never felt so indebted towards someone up until now.

"...You're such a pain in the neck."

He opened his eyes wide in surprise only to find her watching him with exhausted eyes. He didn't know what to make out of it, so he showed her the packet of poky he brought along.

She smiled. "Perfect."

He sat down at the edge of her bed and opened the packet.

"I've got a bad feeling." She said conversationally.

"Something strange has entered the academy." Senri responded to her comment, squeezing his brows.

"Is the man who possessed your body behind it?"

"Probably."

"I see..." she stayed quiet for a moment before asking. "Where is Ichijou-san?"

The male model tensed at the mention of his roommate's name but replied regardless. "He has gone to do what has to be done."

"And... Aiyora-sama?"

This time he let out a sigh.

"...She was with me till I woke up."

"That's good. But aren't you going to look for her now?"

"I want to... but I just don't know how to face her."

Admittedly, Senri also found himself in a difficult position. He was dying to see his Ai-chan but couldn't find the courage to show up before her. After what had happened, how could he...? Shame and guilt was eating him up from the inside. Perhaps it will be this way for the rest of his life.

For the first time Shiki Senri understood the advantages of being born as a pureblood and felt great regret for not being born as one. If only he was so lucky, life would have been so much easier. He could have done so much for the girl that meant the world to him. Given her the life she deserves and shared the burden of their dark fate together.

"I think you should be brave and face her. She is also suffering from same kind of guilt." Rima tried to encourage him by letting him know what she knew.

Senri may not have said anything but those greyish blue orbs portrayed the deep thought he was lost in.

Akatsuki, Ruka and Seiran continued to fight the batch of level-E that appeared in front of the sun dormitory.

Akatsuki used his fire to burn them to ashes. Ruka used her power of illusion and made some members of the group kill each other.

Seiran was using her excellent combat abilities and small daggers that she keeps hidden under her skirt to take those monsters down.

At one pot during the fight, one rouge level-e jumped on Ruka's shoulder and was about to pierce her using his hand that turned to claws, but got burnt by Akatsuki's fire before it could harm Ruka.

"Ruka, are you alright?"

"...Yes."

They heard scream and looked up to find another one of the level-e falling from the sky coming straight at them. This time the vampire was frozen from the bottom before it disintegrated completely.

And that was when the trio saw Hanabusa. The blonde brushed away the dust from his uniform and complain.

"I only get attacked by men, that's nearly not as much fun."

"Hanabusa... what are you doing here?" Akatsuki asked, even though all of them were surprised to see him there.

"I believe your job is to protect Yuuki-sama." Seiran reminded.

"Um... ah... she seems to have disappeared."

"How could you let that happen?!" Ruka scolded him. "You realize she just woke up and is very vulnerable."

"Dorm president is going to kill you for sure this time."

Hanabusa paled hearing that but reassured them. "Listen don't worry. It's all going to work out."

"And what makes you so sure?" Ruka asked, clearly not convinced.

"Because the enemy is a pureblood and he Aiyora-sama's father... he just won't keep attacking. I'm sure he has something bigger in mind. It is why Kaname-sama is in such rush to get Aiyora-sama out of the academy, before this person regains his full strength."

.

.

.

The woman let out a delightful moan as Rido sunk his fangs deeper into her neck.

The pureblood was feasting on the woman with long dark hair. While several others surrounding him were awaiting their turn.

He pulled his fangs back after several gulps, with her blood running down the corner of his lips and said.

"Today we're celebrating my resurrection. Enjoy yourselves, don't hold anything back!"

Soon we shall celebrate it together... my precious little daughter.

...you are mine... and mine only!

It was the constant and the only thought in Kaname's mind as he gave her couples more deep kisses on the neck.

His lips were warm, soft, gentle and at the same time also aggressive. Certain times his fangs were grazing along her skin, teeth nipping the flesh. However his kisses grew softer and more gentle the longer it lasted.

The places where his mouth couldn't reach, his hands did. The brunette let out another deep moan at the feel of her soft skin against his fingertip.

Truly, this girl was one of a kind.

Kaname knew it was probably the only time he can be this intimate with her. And that thought alone brought bitter taste into his darkened soul. It was giving him the impure urge to fully devour her and make themselves one for the eternity. So that she can be his and he can be her, forever!

Otherwise, this is it! It will be the only time ever!

Go on eat her... devour her... consume her fully till that thirst of yours is quenched and hunger sated.

The intensity of the raw untamed lust was tearing him apart. It was a love so dark that it possesses the ability to destroy everything that lies on it's path.

...And somehow, it didn't feel right!

Why?

Because the love, affection, passion was one sided. It was only coming from his side. From her side it was naught. The only feeling emanating from her was the feeling of deep loathing.

At first Kaname tried to turn a blind eye. He didn't want to see, nor did he want to care. He wanted to play solo and show her the power and beauty of one sided love. A love that is only his and no one had the right to take it away from him.

Not even Aiyora!

"I love you." He whispered into her ear, kissing along its shell.

"..."

But received no response.

It prompted him to rise slightly.

He looked deeply into her eyes then gently kissed her forehead and repeated. "I love you Aiyora..."

Still no response.

She continued to look at him. But for some reason it appeared as though she was looking at nothing in particular.

"Aiyora...?"

"... I... I hate her."

Everything around him stilled. Kaname froze. Not just the body, even the blood streaming inside his veins froze. The air around him turned so cold that he couldn't bring himself to inhale it. His hands clenched the ground beneath so tightly that it turned his knuckles white. His body shook as he fought with all its strength... and finally pulled back.

"I can't do this..." he laid down beside her, breathing deeply. "I can't bring myself to make love to you... not when your heart is so full of hate. Forgive me, Aiyora."

The look on Aiyora's face changed. Her current expression was indication enough that she was offended by what he just did.

But by ignoring her glaring eyes Kaname sat up and buttoned up his shirt.

"You will leave me at a time like this? ...Abandon me?" She demanded. Her rage now doubled.

Instead of entertaining her, Kaname got up on his feet to search for his coat and her dress.

Luckily, his coat and her dress were thrown in the same direction. He quickly put on his coat, picked up her dress and returned to her.

Aiyora continued glare daggers at him. But Kaname chose to overlook her pettiness. Instead he forcefully pulled her up and got her into the dress.

"So you're abandoning me?!" Aiyora asked again, angrily. "After all this, you're abandoning me?"

Abandoning?

It hit the male vampire in the nerve. How dare she accuse him of abandoning her.

"I see what's going on, you're fulfilling your promise to Juuri. Fine go ahead! But keep in mind—"

"ENOUGH!"

Aiyora flinched, almost jumped on the spot at Kaname's unexpected scolding. But the anger from his eyes diminished in a second and was replaced with sadness.

"Does this look like abandoning to you? Tell me!" He further demanded as his fingers zipped up her dress at the back.

Aiyora continued to throw him her heated glare. She refused to back down.

"Has your mind become so clouded with hate that you are unable to distinguish between right and wrong?"

He tightly grasped her shoulders.

"I understand your hatred for Yuuki and Juuri. And it is justifiable. However..." He pulled her in for a hug. "...I will not allow you to sink any deeper into this darkness. I don't want you to do something that you will regret in the distant future!"

"Kaname—"

"If you really want to seek revenge on Yuuki, then go, do something that will directly harm her or rather finish her off once and for all!

But please do not do it in a way where you will taint your own self!"

Aiyora pulled back and looked at him confused. Her mind trying to figure out if she heard him correctly.

A silence fell between them, which was broken shortly after by Kaname.

"Now let's go!"

He grabbed her hand like how a disappointed parent holds a spoiled child's hand and dragged her out of the forest.

On their way back, they stopped to see an injured Ichiru heading somewhere.

At first it didn't occur to her mind, but then her blue eyes went wide when she realized that this individual was waiting by her father's coffin.

...And now he's bleeding to death!

The students locked up in the auditorium were becoming impatient. They have been stuck here for hours with no proper explanation provided.

By now many of them have started to rant.

"What's going on?!"

"How much longer do we have to stay here?"

"Why can't we go back?"

"SILENCE!" Shouted the day class president. "No one is leaving this hall until the headmaster gives permission. I understand you all have questions, but I'm just as in the dark on this as you are!"

Unbeknownst to Kageyama Kasumi, the headmaster was watching them through the small gap of the slightly ajar door. And closed the door securely when his senses picked up on the presence that entered the academy, uninvited.

"How may I help you... association president?"

The main door opened to reveal the current head of the hunter's association.

"That's a very dangerous weapon you have there." The cross dresser then covered the lower portion of his face with the fan and reminded. "I believe you once vowed never to carry that thing again."

"I'll do whatever is necessary to protect my students."

"All I want is for you to hand over Kiryu Zero to us."

"Sorry... I won't do that." Kaien stated firmly.

"I see... fine then,"

The association head opened his fan and Cross unsheathed his sword at the same time. The former was the first to attack, while the latter only blocked it off using his sword. But when Cross attacked, the association president had to jump up on the highest branch of the nearby tree.

"That was very foolish. You just wasted your last chance." The cross dresser threatened. "Now say hello to hell!"

"Sorry, but I'll decide my own fate!" Cross Kaien stated, watching the other as he fled.

.

.

.

Rido chuckled after the woman he was devouring turned to dust.

He rolled his head back. High on the taste and the smell of blood.

"So many are coming, all to congratulate me. The vampire... the hunters... that useless princess. But you my dearest daughter, you're in someone else's arms.

...How cruel could you be? Wouldn't you come and play with me? I so want to play with you... my little Aiyora."

Zero slouched against the wall, still struggling. The cocktails of all Kuran pureblood inside him cooking. It further enhanced the excruciating pain he was feeling.

Unexpectedly, the door to the cell opened once more... and this time it was his twin that walked in.

"Ichiru..." he managed to call out to his brother in a raspy voice.

Who in turn picked up his gun and pointed straight at him.

"The time has come Zero."

The mentioned male narrowed his eyes at his younger twin, silently demanding an explanation as to what he really meant. But instead of giving him the response he was waiting for, Ichiru pulled the trigger and shot Zero.

The strong smell of blood made all the vampires in the academy become aware:

The cousins fighting alongside Seiran tensed.

Senri and Rima who were now on the rooftop, dressed in their uniform, became tensed.

Recognizing the smell, Yuuki started to run towards its direction.

Then there was Kaname and Aiyora, both of whom just came out of the forest. An odd tension still looming over them. Among them it was Aiyora who reacted to the smell of blood by squeezing her brows and narrowing her eyes.

Senri was following Rima out of the school building when the pair came face to with Aiyora who approached them from the other side.

An awkward silence fell amongst the group as they half siblings tried to decide who should acknowledge who first. And since neither could come to an agreement, Rima decided to be the bigger person and take the responsibility on her shoulder.

"I have to go meet someone, why don't you two catch up in the meantime." She said walking away in order to give the half siblings some privacy.

With Rima's departure it became even harder. For the longest time the two just stood in awkward silence. Looking at anything and everything other than themselves.

"Ri-chan...?" Finally one of them had the courage to shred the silence and take the initiative to break the wall of awkwardness.

"Let's talk." She was about to take his hand but backed away. Instead motioned him to follow her as she led him to a secluded corner behind the school building.

Senri tried to reach out and hold her hand. But Aiyora moved her hand away before his fingers could graze it.

"Please don't!" She muttered, in a voice almost as low as whisper. "Don't touch me Ri-chan. I don't deserve to be touched by you."

"Don't say such a thing Ai-chan. It makes you sound lame."

Aiyora was about to say something deep but instead ended up asking innocently,

"...How lame?"

"Like Cross Yuuki's level." He replied with a pretty bored face and straight forward tone. And the fact that he so casually opened up a packet of Pocky biscuit, in such intense moment didn't help much.

Aiyora's face crunched in disgust and she threw her signature glare at him. Did he really just compare her to that woman's daughter? How dare he?!

Her chain of thought was cut short when Senri took her hand by force and intertwined their fingers.

"I can understand why you are feeling this way... But as I told you before, you don't have to worry about me."

"How can I not?!" She screamed in frustration yanking her hand free and turned her back on him.

"How can I not worry after all that had happened to you? It was all my fault. I failed to protect you..." Her voice came out sounding like she was in disbelief herself.

"... I. Failed. You!" She punctuated each word like she was embedding them onto her body.

"Calm down you're being really dramatic."

But Aiyora continued to drown in her guilt.

"...Even when daddy possessed you, all I was thinking about was how I could save both of you. When my priority should have been only you!

I got distracted upon meeting our father. A father who is so obsessed with me that he doesn't even hold back on his inappropriate feelings towards me.

He didn't even have the minimum decency to restrain himself when he was using your body.

In spite of all the horrible things he had done, I still love him. I just can't bring myself to hate him..." Aiyora broke down in bitter sob towards the end.

"Believe me I'm trying. I'm really trying. But despite all my tries... I don't know why or how, but a part of me still cares for him. And perhaps always will."

Senri placed a protective hand over her head before pulling her into his arms. Aiyora clutched onto the fabric of his clothing in a vicelike grip, torn between whether to pull him closer or push him away. Her head was finding acute results for doing both.

Aiyora closed her eyes. Enjoying the warmth of his arms, perhaps for the last time.

"Ri-chan..."

"Yes...?"

She didn't know how to say what she was going to say.

"I've asked Rima to look after you. And now I'm going to request you to do the same— Look after Rima-chan, the way she looks after you."

"That was so unnecessary."

"No it wasn't!" Aiyora put her foot down sternly.

"Ri-chan your feelings are true and pure. Which is why they should be given to someone who is truly worthy of it. As much as I want to live in my delusion, the truth is I don't deserve you or your feelings. I am not really who you think I am. I am a pureblood vampire and everything that defines it. With me in your life you will never be at peace. Someone will always find a way to take you down.

Shizuka-sama once told me that, when a pureblood grows attachment, destruction always follows. After all this time, I think I understand her message. What happened to her lover, I don't want the same to happen to you."

"Nothing will happen to me, trust me." He tried to reassure her by tightening his hold on her.

"I know, because I won't let anything happen to you. Now, at this point in my life, I only want what is best for you. I want you to live and survive."

Aiyora reopened her eyes and pulled out of his embrace only to take Senri's face between her hands.

"And by not being a part of your life will give me better chance to protect you. As it will give me the chance to grow myself. I know my idea sounds selfish but at the given moment it's best if we go our separate ways. I'm aware that you can't make friends so easily. It is why I want you to take Rima-chan with you, no matter where you go."

"So you're really leaving the academy?" Senri asked, a part of him still wasn't convinced.

"Yes... I don't want to remain here and be a burden on everyone's shoulder."

"Wise decision." There was a hint of sarcasm in his voice but Aiyora couldn't tell if he did it to lighten the mood or was he actually criticizing her.

Aiyora was about to walk away when a hand grabbed her wrist and stopped her. She turned to ask what happened only to have the maroon haired vampire pull her in for a kiss. And despite the initial hesitation, she gave in, gave in with all her heart and kissed him back passionately.

Yuuki was following the scent of Zero's blood and heading towards his location when the appearance of a stronger presence behind made her abruptly stop.

"You're becoming a problem." Said Kaname.

His deep cold voice made a shiver run down her spine.

Terrified, Yuuki turned and looked at him feeling all the more nervous. The look on her face resembled a child who got caught stealing.

"I'm guessing you want to go see Kiryu."

Guilt seeped through Yuuki. She didn't want to get caught by Kaname under such circumstance. She didn't want to further disappoint and hurt him, but somehow she did it again.

However, what Yuuki didn't know was that she misread the whole situation once again.

To start off Kaname wasn't even following her. Him appearing behind her was a pure coincidence. He was actually on his way back to his room and just ran into her on the way.

Second, while it's true that Kaname appeared furious but the reason behind his current appearance was completely different. It had nothing to do with Yuuki. Considering what he had just been through, anybody else in his situation would have been in far worst shape.

But Yuuki didn't know that. Which is why she assumed it was her fault and blamed herself for it.

"Kaname onii-sama I just..."

"Zero is in the process of resurrecting himself. I did it, to protect you Yuuki."

"What are you talking about? I don't understand."

Kaname sighed and gave her a little idea of who Kuran Rido was without going into much details. And without having the intention he ended up gaining Yuuki's sympathy.

If Yuuki was feeling bad before, she was feeling worst now. This man had done so much for her, and what is she giving him in return...?

More pain!

Yuuki knew what she was doing was wrong. It was unfair to this man. But as a friend, she had to make sure Zero was alright. Therefore she must go and check up on him, even if it's for a mere second.

"I am sorry onii-sama... for all the trouble I've caused you. I am also sorry for making you suffer ten long years on your own. And I'm sorry again for not listening to you and staying inside. I simply cannot stay hidden for my own safety when the entire academy is burning. I simply can't!"

"Do not worry, I'm not going to stop you." Kaname said. "The time has come; I must go and do what I must do. And you Yuuki, must do what you must do."

Suddenly, feeling so bold, Yuuki took a step towards Kaname and wrapped her arms around his broad shoulders. One hand going around the neck while the other fisted on his hair.

"... But I promise to return to your arms. I will make sure that you are not lonely again. So please don't make that face."

"Yuuki you—"

He didn't get to finish the sentence as she sealed his lips with her in a loving-longing kiss.

When she pulled back her cheeks were red as heat crept onto her face. She could barely look him in the eye. And the hard thumping of her heart didn't make it any easier. Kaname on the other hand had no change on his impassive face. He continued to watch her with those hard-cold gaze.

"I will come back to you onii-sama, I promise."

Having said that Yuuki left. She left to do, what she felt within her heart was right.

Meanwhile inside the prison cell:

Zero tightly clutched his left shoulder and slid down the floor. His blood staining the wall behind.

After all that had happened, Zero wasn't even surprised that Ichiru shot him. Why should he? This Ichiru is the same person who had a smile on his face as he watched their parents lay dead on the floor. It was then Zero stopped considering him his brother. He is no longer the person Zero recognizes. But in spite of everything Zero was glad to have Ichiru shot him. He was looking forward to death. Finally, his misery would end.

As if reading his mind, his twin spoke.

"Zero... don't let your mind wonder, look at me. You've meekly allowed yourself to be imprisoned. You were always demeaning yourself back when we were kids."

Ichiru stepped forward, towards his brother and crouched down before him taking his chin in between his fingers and forcefully pulled his face up.

"Is this how you atone for your sins. You couldn't have possibly thought your acts were of comfort to me, could you? The only thing your actions have done is force me to realize that you would have been free if I had never existed at all. However, this is no consolation for having Shizuku-sama taken away from me."

"Don't worry! My naive pursuit of atonement is long gone now. I let it go, when I saw you smiling that night."

Suddenly in rage Zero grabbed Ichiru by the collar of his jacket and one of his hand then barked.

"How could you smile at the murder of our parents?"

Another wave of attack washed over Zero making the veins on his hand pop up.

"Are you about to lose control now?" Ichiru taunted then clarified. "Just so you know I did wish for them to die. Our parents were the one that hunted down Shizuka-sama's lover. Her lover was a former human who was yet to fall to a level-E state; and yet for some reason his name appeared on the hunter's execution list. Our parents were not at fault. They were just following orders. But when Shizuka-sama told me what really happened, I was disgusted..."

Zero took notice of the blood spreading on the floor and how badly Ichiru was sweating. It was evident that he was in a lot of pain. But didn't interrupt his brother as he continued to give details of how their parents embraced them with the same hand they slaughtered an innocent man's life.

"Ichiru... one last question..." Zero asked with a shaky voice after Ichiru finished explaining. "Why are you bleeding so badly?"

"All I wanted was to fulfill Shizuku-sama's wish. He was my only target, the man who imprisoned her and tampered with the execution list... Kuran Rido.

...Even though I did all I could, I knew that in the end I couldn't do much."

Ichiru fell forward and landed on Zero's shoulder, breathing heavily. His body now succumbing to the injury. The bloody rose dropped from his hand.

"I feel so useless. I feel so sick, this place reeks of our blood. It must be tempting for you Zero, I'm surprised you're still sane. You've become a different being. And yet for whatever reason I still feel so comfortable next to. Its proof that we were once one embryo. Zero, grant this as my last wish and devour what remains of my life."

"What are you saying?!"

"You already know, if you devour me you will regain your full power. The powers you were meant to have at birth."

"I WON'T! I CANNOT DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT!" Zero hissed.

"Yes you will... because it was meant to be. Why do you think I shot you with the bloody rose?"

Zero tightly grasped onto his brother and began to plead.

"Please don't die! I can't bear to lose anybody else!"

Ichiru closed his eyes in contentment.

"Hearing that makes me so happy. All this time I thought I was already dead to you."

"Kurenai Maria wanted to see you as well." Zero gave this as a last resort to persuade his twin.

"She did huh? Um... Zero, you don't have to forgive Shizuka-sama but please don't hold a grudge against her. She truly cherished me, I know she did. That's why I don't regret what's happened to me. And soon—"

"I can't do this Ichiru, it's wrong!"

"Is it really? If that's what you truly believe then live! And do what I cannot. LIVE ZERO! DO IT FOR ME!"

Those were his last words. His last wish... his ultimate demand!

"I'm sure you all are wondering why I wanted an audience with you all here, in the midst of an on going emergency. Well... I wanted to see you all before I leave the academy."

Aiyora addressed the group that assembled outside the main building of the moon dormitory.

The group consisted of Akatsuki, Ruka, Rima, Seiran, Hanabusa and couples of Aiyora's friends from her inner circle. Senri stood by Aiyora's side holding her hand and Kaname was few feet behind the half-siblings.

"...When I was first brought to the academy I didn't know anyone of you. But with time that changed and you all have become a very important part of my life.

Interestingly I'm not an orphan. However, despite having handful members of my family from both sides, I'm still lonely, with hardly anyone to call my own. But certainly that has changed over the time I spent at this academy. And it was you people that made it happen." She said the last part pointing her fingers towards the crowd.

"Which is why I would like to express my greatest gratitude to every single one of you.

Thank you for accepting me into your life. Thank you for all the unconditional love. And thank you for making my stay at this academy memorable and worthwhile.

Tonight, before leaving the academy I would like to make one last personal request. I know Kaname has asked to all to protect and save Yuuki and the academy. I am also asking you to do the same, but not at the cost of your own life.

If at any point you feel that your life is in danger, drop everything and run. You don't need to die, nor does your family need to lose a loved one for a newly awakened pureblood, whose mother chose to make her run from her own fate."

Gasps were heard from the crowd. But it hardly had any effect on Aiyora. After all, she came prepared.

"...Tell me why should your mother lose her child because Kuran Juuri wanted for her own daughter to live as a human...? What did your mother do to deserve this fate? Why should several noble mothers lose their children because one pureblood mother decided her daughter should live a fate different than what was destined?"

Shock was starting to appear in everyone's face including Senri. The only one who managed to hold onto the expressionless face was Kaname.

"I can understand some of you are thinking of me as cruel. But this is how I see it— a life that needs sacrifice of several others in order to survive, doesn't deserve to live!"

"But Kaname-sama has asked—" Hanabusa tried to interrupt.

"Aidou-kun, the person you mentioned is present amongst us. He heard what I said, and if he has an objection, all he has to do is speak up."

She waited a good quarter of a minute. Giving Kaname the chance to voice out his objections; if he had any.

All the aristocrats looked at him, anticipating a response. After all for the longest time the man has put Cross Yuuki above everyone and everything else. But now his lips remained sealed.

When he said nothing, she proceeded as usual.

"Looks like he has nothing say. Anyway..."

Clearing her throat Aiyora moved onto her speech.

"Don't get me wrong, I repeat I'm not asking you all to not protect Yuuki and the academy. All I'm asking, is not to do it at the cost of your own life. I don't want to and I'm not going to say goodbye. Because I want each and every one of you to be there, once we reunite after this dark night passes.

Until then take care of yourself."

She then went ahead and hugged every single one of them. And lastly it was Senri's turn. He got the longest and the tightest hug along with a kiss on the nose.

Aiyora waved at them one last time before stepping into the vehicle.

They all watched as the limousine drove off.

Hanabusa had tears in his eyes. Only to be teased by Akatsuki.

"Are you okay...?" Rima whispered into Senri ear. Just to make sure he was okay.

"Why shouldn't I be?" Senri asked in return. "It's not like she died."

He let out heart wrenching cry when he realized that Ichiru had already left. For the next few moments he desperately clung to his twins mortal remain, still trying to process and come to terms with what has just happened.

Once the reality sunk in...

Zero did what his brother wanted him to do. He devoured him— his blood, life force and whatever form of existence remained. Until they finally became one.

After he was finished, Kiryu Zero slowly rose to his feet, picked up the bloody rose and left the prison almost breaking it in the process.

The vehicle drove through the empty streets at a steady speed.

Inside Kaname sat facing his side of the window. He kept his impassive face intact while occasionally turning briefly to check on Aiyora. The last time he checked, she was having a hard time keeping her eyes open. It was only natural, she was exhausted, they've been on the road for several hours now.

A moment later Kaname turned again and this time found Aiyora fast asleep. He watched the girl sleep for sometime. A gentle smile crept up on his lips. His fingers removed the hair curtaining her face before he brought her into his arms so she could rest comfortably for the rest of the journey.

The next time when her eyes opened, Kuran Aiyora found herself in an unknown place with few individuals hoovering over her, and watching her earnestly.

It made the young Kuran feel as if she was some sort of rare specie.

A big wave of relief washed over her when she recognized the brunette closest to her as Kaname. He was sitting at the edge of her bed. Then her eyes moved to the person standing behind Kaname. A young beautiful woman with violet blue eyes, long silky black hair, buttery skin and beautiful cleavage— 75% of which was out on display and borderline cushioning Kaname's head. Her hands were resting on each of Kaname's shoulder blades, occasionally giving it a gentle rub.

Behind that thisty-hoe was another man with long straight blonde hair that almost reaches his waist, sharp jawlines and overall handsome features. The man had a more tanned complexion compared to the woman.

And seated on the other side of the bed was another woman with short blonde hair and features that are quite similar to the other two.

And interestingly all three of these new faces have one thing in common with Aiyora, it's their extra long slender neck.

"Aiyora...?" Kaname called bringing her attention back on him. "I can sense that you are nervous and confused. It is indeed natural for you to feel that way. However... I assure you that you are in no danger. These people are your family. That is your grandmother, Hanadagi Min-Unra. The gentleman here is her youngest son— Hanadagi Takumi and..."

He touched the woman's hand that was resting on his shoulder.

"...this beautiful woman here is Layla. The youngest child of the Hanadagi family.

And, she is also... your mother."

Aiyora arched a brow, amused.

What?! This thirsty-hoe is my mother?

A/N: Thank you all for reading. Hope you enjoyed. This was my version of episode 11 of season 2. It's heading towards the end. 2 or 3 more chapters before the anime arc ends. If you notice any mistake feel free to point out or if you are confused don't hesitate to ask.

So, Aiyora finally met her mother. What kind of reunion are you expecting?

If any of you are confused and think its ooc on Yuuki's part to kiss Kaname. Allow me to clarify I have taken this part from the manga. The part where Yuuki and Aidou saves Yori and later Kaname shows up.

And Aiyora at this point in a helpless situation. She's feels it would be beneficial for Senri if she's away from his life. One of the main reason she feels this way is because of her deep feelings for her father. And the fact that she still cares for him, even after all that he did. She's looking back at Shizuka's relationship and definitely doesn't want Senri to suffer the same fate as her lover. So she believes it's best for her to be away from him till she grows into a better person.

Reply to guestwithreviews: I also want Aiyora to meet Rido before his death. Let's see what happens.

Kaname's situation has kind of turned.

And Yuuki is still trying to get a grasp of everything. Kaname had asked her to be his lover right before her awakening and once she awakened he kind of turned his back on her. From what I picked up from the manga, Yuuki was the type whose main focus was always on re-establishing academy for fulfilling the pacifist idealism. Then to go after and catch Kaname for killing of the vampires. However the last part didn't exactly happen. It is probably because of her human upbringing.
