Byaruki thoughts: Side stories for Game of Life
DISCLAIMER : I do not own anything from this story. Entertainment purposes only.
A/N: since I think that I was grasping at straws on Game of Life, I decided to document the supposed events that can support this pairing.
This chapter will be longer, because I have found a way to enjoy writing this story as I study how to be a good leader. Because building a company requires high EQ… for it is not always what you know that matters, its what you can do with what you know does… and doing needs interaction. And thus handling people is a vital lesson, an aspiring leader has to learn.
Chapter 5: A new start [part 7]: Lessons from Sir Carnegie's book
[Fundamental techniques in handling people]
Now that the Ryoka had finally went back to the human world, Soul Society had returned to their former routine.
Rukia on the other hand was still not allowed to return to her duty, as she was dismissed from her post due to recent events. And so, she had spent her time reacquainting with the Kuchiki household staff and members.
And as many organizations does, some errors happens.
For example…
Just now, the gardener has clumsily destroyed several pots of flowers that Rukia had painstaking planted as materials for her ikebana class with her personal tutor.
In which, the tutor was so adamant that the Kuchiki Lady must learn how to appreciate beauty, as she was too crass for a noble lady but the tutor feared to point this out.
[don't criticize, condemn or complain: try to understand them]
Fear and apprehension can be seen in the gardener's face, as Rukia went over to him, as he pick the broken pots.
And as she moved closer to him, she could not help but smile, for she somewhat identifies with his.
Fear and apprehension.
That's what she had always felt, whenever Byakuya was around. For she dread to disappoint him, but sometimes or most of the times, she seemed to makes mistakes more whenever he is around.
She does not know why…
As she knew that when it comes to her duties and obligations, she paid 100 percent of her attention, and yet, she still made mistakes.
"Forgive me, Rukia-Sama" the gardener begged in shame at his clumsiness.
At this, Rukia's attention was brought to the current situation.
"Please call me Rukia. Just Rukia" she told the gardener shyly, for she really is uncomfortable with being treated like a noble lady, when she is just a street rat, an ordinary soul just like the gardener.
[Give honest and sincere appreciation : the big secret in handling people]
"I see that you worked very hard in maintaining the beauty of this garden. And I really like the way you cut the branches of the Sakura trees, especially those trees in front of my room. They seemed to look like a canopy. How do you do that?" Rukia commented awkwardly, seeing as the gardener just kept his silence.
Maybe she over acted as a Kuchiki?
At this thought, Rukia wanted to apologize for causing him any inconvenience she might not know of. Some rule of not talking casually with the servants of lower status.
[Arouse in the other person an eager or want: the only way to get people to do anything]
"Don't worry about the pot, I will replace them with new one. Seeing as I have much free time on my hand" Rukia reasoned after sometime, to fill in the silence.
Because it seemed like, even the servants in the Kuchiki household were too well mannered.
"Arigatou, Rukia-sa…." The gardener finally said, apprehensive, as he respectfully bowed his head in gratitude to the lady of the house.
"Just Rukia" Rukia cut him off playfully, thankful that she had not made him feel bad at supposedly, offending her.
"Rukia" the gardener said in respect.
At this, Rukia smiled in approval, as she bid him good day.
During this encounter, a certain Kuchiki saw the interaction. And he would have put the gardener on his proper place, had he not understood that Rukia genuinely wanted to be treated as equal to everyone.
That she is not better than anyone.
At this, he smiled.
Maybe, he should also change his approach to other people.
To be continued….
