Sesshomaru glared at his human illusion in the mirror of short black hair and ice blue eyes as a servant finished dressing him. His inner haori was dark blue and the outer was white with blue embroidery around the hems tucked into a pair of black hamakas and a blue obi was skillfully wrapped around his waist. If he didn't have to hide his Youkai characteristics, he would have felt content, but due to the amount of humans he couldn't remove the seal.
Inuyasha stood beside him in an Indian formal attire, the pants black while the tunic was red. His black hair, tamed considerably now, was pulled back in a low ponytail as he had kept his length when he had chosen his concealment. He had a set of small diamond studs in the lobe of round ears and a silver band around the ring finger of his right hand.
Kishi wore a similar style as what he had at the gathering months ago, black hamakas tucked into black boots and a purple haori over a white inner haori. Ryze also wore black hamakas and wore a sunset orange haori over a black inner haori. Then Kouga also wore an Indian style like Inuyasha, black pants and a dark brown top with white embroidery.
"These are surprisingly comfortable," Inuyasha commented as the servants finally left the men alone. "I was a bit wary but Dimitri and Damian wear no other style. Who is Nova's Maid of Honor? I didn't bring a date but I don't want it to be awkward since the best man is supposed to walk with the maid of honor..."
"That is one of Nova's surprises," Sesshomaru spoke before the wolf could speak.
"Alright men, time to go," Kaya poked her head into the room.
Sesshomaru headed out with the four daemons behind him to the outdoor venue below. Doing as Kaya directed, he made his way around the rows of chairs to stand at the podium besides the officiator where cherry blossoms were in bloom from the single tree that stood over them. Glancing over the audience, he counted a couple hundred guests before getting bored.
A dozen photographers stood around the garden and he could hear them start taking pictures as Ryze and Nita, who wore a Lehenga Choli that was white with orange lace to match with her mate and flaunted her swollen belly, were the first to walk down the aisle. Kouga and Ayame were next, her three layered kimono white with brown embroidery and the second layer was also brown while the inner was white and a brown white obi around her waist. Kishi and Touran were next, the lace on her Lehenga Choli purple to match Kishi.
As Inuyasha and Kagome came into view, her kimono similar to Ayame's but with red instead of brown, he smirked as he saw the surprise in both of their eyes. Nova's idea of reintroducing them seemed slightly cruel as neither were supposed to talk in the middle of the precession. They took their positions and Sesshomaru finally noticed that Kaya had made it so no couple wore clothing of the same culture before the music started up and Dimitri appeared wearing a black tunic and red pants and held his arm out before Nova came into view.
She wore a Lehenga Choli that was white with a light touch blue embroidery across the fabric. The skirt was fuller than her bridesmaid's and the top piece was long sleeved instead. Her hair was pulled back by the jeweled combs he had given her in the past and jeweled crown in place. The blue veil was attached to her hair instead of wrapping around her and he noticed white henna drawn across her swollen belly and on the back of her hands.
'Beautiful,' he thought to her through their mating mark and her stormy eyes locked onto his as she gave a small smile.
She started walking down the aisle, Dimitri guiding her while Haku walked a few feet ahead of her besides Khendon in an all white traditional male's kimono and a white pillow in his hands that held the rings. As Haku reached the front, he stood between Inuyasha and Sesshomaru while Khendon stood besides Kagome, mirroring the boy. As his mate reached him, Dimitri pressed his brow to Nova's, their noses touching for a moment before guiding her hand to slide into Sesshomaru's before taking a seat besides Satori.
The ceremony commenced and he barely paid attention to the officiator. He spoke when he needed to and so did Nova, but the dirty thoughts he was feeling through the mating mark was making it difficult. Narrowing his eyes slightly at his mate, he saw the amusement in her eyes as she gave him an innocent smile, speaking when she was required to. Soon they kissed, pictures were taken, questions were asked and the crowd was moved inside to the large dining hall for the reception and dinner.
"Nova, a warning would have been nice," Kagome muttered as she sat beside Nova.
"But the reaction was too adorable," Nova grinned as she played with the new ring on her left ring finger with her thumb, the diamond a little bigger than the sealed ring she had before. "Neither of you knew that the other would be here."
"You are evil," Inuyasha huffed as he appeared and sat besides Kagome. "Hey Kags."
"Maybe so, but it worked out," she mused and saw Inuyasha grab Kagome's hand and pull it to rest in his lap as he held it.
"It seems that the other business you meddled in is paying off as well," Sesshomaru smirked as he leaned over to whisper into Nova's ear, pointing towards Kishi and Touran who sat at a table nearby.
"We'll see if they actually take the bait or if they'll be too stubborn," Nova chuckled quietly as she watched the two talk quietly. "Have you heard from the the American division?"
"He will be here soon," Sesshomaru spoke quietly so Kagome did not hear.
"No work, you two," Kaya frowned as she came over. "Seriously, you two are way to work driven."
"I've never been one to just sit around, you know that," Nova mused before seeing a single gentleman step into the room from a side door.
He wore a black business suit, but she could see a hint of the child kitsune she had met in the past. His hair was auburn and cut short and green eyes scanned the room. His eyes locked onto hers and saw a slight frown as he recognized her and she tilted her head to the miko beside her and his eyes widened.
Nova smirked as he walked along the wall, his movements not bringing attention to his presence. She glanced up at her mate and husband and saw his eyes follow the kitsune for a moment before focusing on the reception. She let her eyes return to the man slowly sneaking up behind Kagome and Inuyasha, before attacking and wrapped his arms tightly around Kagome.
"Hey momma," Nova heard Shippou murmur before pulling back so she could turn to look at him as she gasped.
"Shippou...? Nova, are there any other surprises up your sleeve?" Kagome suddenly turned on her with a glare.
"Nope, those two were it," she chuckled and the miko spun back around to focus on the kitsune.
"I do believe Dimitri has brought one for you," Sesshomaru murmured as he leaned closer and pointed to the far end of the reception hall.
Nova frowned as her eyes followed where he was pointing and saw her father standing to an almost identical versioned of himself with a blue rhombus on his brow. Besides them were Takashi and a unfamiliar woman. Getting to her feet, she touched Sesshomaru's arm before making her way around the room as Khendon kept at her side. As her eyes met Damian's, they stopped talking and waited for her to reach them.
"Uncle Damian," Nova spoke softly as she focused on him, finally able to study him. "I must apologize for my behavior at the last gathering we both went to."
"Everything was explained after a very lengthy talk when this guy showed up at the office after some crazy flashbacks, so there is nothing to forgive," he spoke gently. "Though he failed to mention that your husband had gotten you pregnant. I would love to hear that story."
"Same way anyone would become pregnant, Uncle," Nova mused.
"Cheeky brat," Damian chuckled, before the woman beside him cleared her throat gently. "Right, my apologies. This is my wife, Pihu. You two have never met, but she had heard the stories."
"It's a pleasure," Piha smiled, her dark brown hair pulled into a braided bun, her eyes a dark green, and wore a dark blue Lehenga Choli that had a longer bodice that made only a small amount of skin exposed. "From what I hear, it's thanks to you that started the alliance between the four lords and these twins."
"I may have contributed a little, but I don't think any credit actually would be mine," Nova frowned.
"You are wrong. You took care of all the affairs had cemented alliances while your husband was away," Dimitri spoke quietly as several photographers walked over. "Nosy people. We'll talk more at a later time."
"Miss Draik, can we take a picture of you with your family?" One of the men asked, his camera already in position.
"Sure," Nova smiled and Dimitri wrapped his arm around her waist, pulling her to stand between him and Damian while Pihu and Takashi stood on the other side of her uncle.
"Perfect. We will be doing more pictures of both families and the grooms side soon," the man spoke as he took several pictures before walking off.
