Author's Note: As I've mentioned before, I feel like I've been crazy neglectful of Olicity over the course of this story, which is stupid, because they were the first Arrowverse Endgame ship and they're married in cannon, and, honestly, I really loved them at one point in my life.
Sooooooo this is gonna be Olicity centric. If you are a fan, enjoy, and consider it my apology chapter for having taken so long to do something like this :)
After being there for Oliver when his mom announced her engagement, it was like a switch had been thrown in Oliver and Felicity's relationship. It was true that, no, they still weren't obsessed with each other like most high schoolers seemed to be about their boyfriends or girlfriends, but they started checking in more, face timing at night and finding more reasons to bump into each other at school during the day. Felicity had started actively thinking about him, too, wondering what he was doing and how he was doing and when she'd get to see him again.
Considering all of that, that morning's events weren't much of a surprise.
Felicity had been set to use her Spring Break to get her wisdom teeth out, something that she'd honestly needed to do for awhile but hadn't gotten around to. They were pretty badly impacted, which meant that she was going to be in a lot of pain post-surgery, doped up on meds, and would need someone at her beck and call. That person was supposed to be her mother, but the day of the surgery she got a call from her boss saying that she was needed at work in an hour.
"I can't believe this," Donna muttered as she hung up with another coworker, one in a long line that had told her they wouldn't be able to take the shift. "I asked Marge three weeks ago if she'd be able to cover this date for me, and now she drops out? How am I supposed to look after you if I'm at work?"
"I could call Oliver," Felicity suggested, the idea flying out of her mouth before she had fully even considered it.
Donna blinked, glancing up from her phone. "Oliver... Queen? Your boyfriend?"
"Yeah," Felicity confirmed, shrugging offhandedly. "He's almost always free on Saturdays- that's when we usually have our dates. You can bring me to the appointment and he can take me home and look after me until you get back." She shrugged again. "He just got his wisdom teeth out, like, this past summer or something, so he knows the drill. I'm sure he'd say yes."
"It feels a bit... odd," Donna said slowly, frowning a bit. "And I'm really not in love with the idea of leaving you with a minor after you have a surgery."
"He turns 18 in under a month," Felicity groaned. "And he's plenty responsible. Besides, we can't cancel the appointment now and you also can't just refuse your boss! Here- let me call him and see."
Donna opened her mouth to protest but Felicity was already dialing her boyfriend's number. He picked up on the second ring. "Hey! I thought you were getting your wisdom teeth out today?"
"I am," Felicity said. "And I have... kind of a weird request."
Oliver laughed. "Are you loopy right now? Did you call me while you're loopy? 'Cause that's kind of adorable."
"No," Felicity groaned. "I haven't even left home yet. Look, my mom got a call from her boss and he needs her to come in unexpectedly in, like, an hour. My appointment is in a half an hour. Is there any way that you would maybe be able to pick me up and keep an eye on me? Just until my mom gets back. And if you can't then that's totally fine; we can figure out something else and you don't need to worry about it at-"
"Sure."
Felicity stopped mid-steamroll. "Huh?"
"I said sure," Oliver repeated, a smile in his voice. "I can come look after you for a couple hours. Honestly... loopy Felicity in person will be even better than videos."
Felicity laughed. "I'm lowkey regretting this now," she joked.
"Send me the address so I can come pick you up after your appointment," Oliver told her. "I'll see you soon, all right? I hope everything goes okay."
"Yeah, me too," Felicity cringed. "See you soon. And... thank you, Oliver. I really appreciate this. I owe you one."
"That's ridiculous," Oliver told her. "What kind of boyfriend would I be if I didn't look after you every once and awhile?"
Felicity hung up with a smile on her face and turned back to her mother. "We're a go! Oliver said he'd pick me up and stick around until you can get home."
"That boy is a lifesaver," Donna groaned, pulling her daughter into a quick hug. "Okay, we need to get out of here. You can send him the address on the way over so he knows where he's going."
Then they piled into the car and set off.

Oliver arrived at Dr. Horatio's just in time to catch Donna before she had to rush off to work.
"There's ice cream in the fridge, and leftover pancakes that you can probably just kinda... mush up with syrup if she's hungry," Donna rattled off, booking it to her car even as she gave Oliver the rundown. "If there's an emergency, we're relatively close with the neighbors across the street and they can help you out, or you can call me- I'm sure Felicity can get you my number, even loopy."
She paused long enough to grasp at Oliver's shoulder. "Thank you so much for being able to step in like this. You have no idea how much of a life-saver it is."
Oliver gave her a bashful half-grin. "It's really no trouble, Mrs. Smoak," he said. "Good luck at work."
She let out a strained laugh. "Thanks, kid, I'll need it."
Oliver wandered back inside to the waiting room and was almost immediately met with a secretary who had been briefed on the situation and would take him to Felicity after the surgery.
"We have a back waiting room," she explained as she led the way down the hall, "so that our patients aren't embarrassed. They can just... sneak out the back, and no one needs to see their puffy cheeks or hear anything that comes out of their mouth while they're still loopy." She smiled, gesturing Oliver towards a chair. "It'll be about an hour to an hour and a half, depending on how complicated Miss Smoak's case is."
"Thanks," Oliver replied, automatically giving her a charming smile before realizing that it probably wasn't necessary in this case.
He settled into one of the waiting room chairs and tried to focus on the homework he'd brought to work on, but ended up getting bored and scrolling through Instagram instead.
It had been almost an hour and twenty minutes when the waiting room door opened and Dr. Horatio stepped inside. "Oliver Queen?" he asked, a very telling smile on his face.
"That's me," Oliver agreed, putting the homework he had gone back to aside and getting to his feet with a quick stretch. "How's Felicity?"
"She's awake and regaining her senses," Dr. Horatio said with another smile. "Everything went very well." He passed over a folder. "I have some information on post-wisdom-teeth-removal treatment for you... all of her forms were taken care of by her mother before she left so you two are free to go as soon as Felicity feels okay to walk."
"Sounds good," Oliver said, nodding. He was glad that he didn't have to look over any confusing medical documents or anything- he knew he'd have to start handling that kind of thing soon, considering he was almost 18, but he was avoiding it for as long as possible.
About ten minutes later, a nurse led Felicity into the room. She had a wrap around her head to hold her ice packs and was almost stumbling over her own two feet. Oliver reached out and put an arm around her, laughing a little. "Hey, Felicity."
"You are not my mom," Felicity declared, her voice slurred and clouded by the gauze stuffed into her cheeks. "You know how I know? Because my mom is squishy and you, sir, are a rock."
Oliver let out a surprised laugh and even the nurse chuckled. "Have fun," she teased, getting the door for them so Oliver could use both hands to help Felicity balance.
They made it home okay, with Felicity trying to count every car that they passed, and then every house, then every tree, until Oliver turned on the music just to drown her repetitive mumbling out. He got her set up in a comfortable chair with a blanket over her knees, then crouched down beside her. "Do you need anything?"
Felicity squinted at him. "A life." She snorted. "You see what I did there? I need a lifeeeee..."
"You have a life," Oliver told her, reaching up to rub her knee. "You're an absolute genius at school, and you hang out with Cisco and Caitlin and your other nerd-squad friends. And you have me."
"Well duh," Felicity replied, rolling her eyes. "I know I have a life. It's just something that people says. Say. People... say...s... hm."
Oliver shook his head a little as she trailed into thought. "I'm serious, though," he reiterated. "Do you need anything? Maybe some food, or are you cold? You don't take your next dose of meds for another few hours, but we'll have to change your gauze soon..."
"My lip is really fat," Felicity declared, outright ignoring him. She picked up her hand, flapped it in front of her face, and then started poking at her chin. "Did I get botox or somethin'?"
"Your lip is right here," Oliver said, gently pressing his finger to where her mouth actually was. "You're just numb."
"Pfft." Felicity shook her head. "You have eyes but you do not hear, so..."
Oliver tried to make sense of that for a moment and then gave up, choosing instead to take another seat in the living room. "Do you want to watch something?" he asked, hunting around for a TV remote.
"Bachelor- Listen To Your Heartttt," Felicity rattled off, switching to a sing song voice for the last four words. "It's my favorite favorite favorite."
Oliver resisted the urge to laugh at that little tidbit. "You got it," he agreed obediently, bracing himself for forty-five minutes of cringe incarnate.
AV-High-AV-High-AV-High-AV-High-AV-High-AV-High-AV-High-AV-High-AV-High
"No!" Oliver cried, shooting forward in his seat and staring incredulously at the TV screen. "No, no! Why would she do that?"
"Why?!" Felicity echoed dazedly, waving her hands in the air. "Why?!"
Oliver fell back with a groan, crossing his arms grumpily. "How many more episodes are in this season?" he asked his girlfriend, glancing at the time with a calculating expression.
"Mmmm... five," Felicity said after considering a moment. "Which would take us three hours and forty five minutes to get through."
"And... what time did your mom say she'd get home?" Oliver went on, grinning a little.
Felicity sent him an amused look, which more ended up amusing him because of how ridiculous she looked with all the gauze in her cheeks.
At that thought, Oliver's eyebrows jumped. "Shoot, we need to change your gauze," he said, getting to his feet and rooting around in the small baggie the doctor had supplied to find the cotton. "Can you take those out?"
Felicity nodded and reached a clumsy hand into her mouth to try and paw out the gauze. It came out completely soaked in blood and she peered at it. "Ewww... it's like when you get a bloody nose, and then you make little tissue-things and stuff them up your nostril so all the blood gets absorbed in them."
It was a surprisingly accurate description. Oliver held open a trash bag for her and Felicity reluctantly placed the gauze inside, using an absurd amount of care.
"Alright," Oliver said, rolling the cotton between his fingers. "Can you put them in yourself?"
Felicity shook her head mournfully. "I don't have fingers," she sighed. "Sorry, Oliveryeryeryer."
Oliver's eyebrows scrunched a little at the very strange nickname, but he decided not to comment and instead braced himself to reach inside Felicity's mouth and help her out.
Once the gauze was in place, Oliver washed his hands and heated up some pancakes for the two of them. Felicity hadn't complained about being hungry, but she also hadn't said much other than incoherent mumbling and mimicking almost every single one of his reactions to the Bachelor.
The two of them were finished with their odd lunch/snack of mushed pancakes and syrup (and halfway through the third episode of the Bachelor), when Donna blew into the room.
"Aww, look at you two," she crooned, wrinkling her nose. Oliver paused the show and glanced up, only to find that Felicity was sound asleep, mouth wide open and drool running down her chin.
He turned red. "We were, um, we were watching that together. Before she fell asleep. I wouldn't- it's not really my kind of show."
Donna gave him a knowing smile. "It never is," she said cryptically, before she glanced at the progress bar and shrugged. "It is my kind of show, though, so let's just finish up this episode and you can head home."
Oliver tried to look impassive about that very good idea as she sat down and stole the remote from him to press play.
Felicity woke up a few minutes later and Donna was immediately distracted from the TV as she said her hellos.
"Mom," Felicity said dopily. "Mom, guess what?"
"What, honey?" Donna asked, busily arranging the blanket around Felicity's knees and checking to see if her ice packs were still cold.
"I don't have fingers," she said. "Oliver... ate my fingers."
"Wait-!" Oliver protested, shooting up before he realized there was no way Donna was going to buy that because Felicity still had all ten of her fingers perfectly in tact.
Felicity seemed to find his reaction that most hilarious thing in the world and cackled stuffily for a good few minutes. "Also- also-" she wheezed. "Also, I got- I got botox. On my tongue."
"That sounds very exciting," Donna replied mildly.
"I think," Felicity prattled. "That Oliver should go on the Bachelor, and then- then I can be one of the contestants and everyone'll think we don't know each other but none of the other girls will actually stand a chance because he'll pick me."
"Yeah I will," Oliver said, a grin crossing his face as he reached out and squeezed his girlfriend's arm.
Donna smiled and shook her head. "You two..." she said.
"Goooooalllls!" Felicity crowed, and started cackling again.
After the Bachelor episode had finished, Oliver was released from care-taking duty and walked to the door.
"Thank you so much," Donna said, giving him a quick hug. "I think that she might have actually had a good time, even with the surgery being involved."
"If she even remembers any of it," Oliver snorted, glancing over Donna's shoulder to see Felicity's fingers waging battles on the other ones. "But no problem. I had a good time, too."
Donna gave that same smile from earlier and reached out to squeeze his shoulder. "You're a good kid, Oliver," she decided. "I'm glad you two found each other."
"Yeah," Oliver agreed, a little uncomfortable but appreciating the sentiment. "I am, too."
Author's Note: And there we have a completely Olicity chapter! I hope you guys all enjoyed; I had fun writing that one. Loopy!Felicity is honestly awesome XD
In truth... I didn't actually get loopy when I got my wisdom teeth out but apparently it happens so...
