Chapter 5: Time to Come Together
With everyone reunited with each other thanks to Twilight, they all became even more close as the plan to get Twilight's and her (Y/N)'s crown back could go even better than planned now. Right now with school being done for the day, the (Hu) Mane 7 decided to all hang out and converse at the Sweet Shoppe which was a place where you can get sweets and desserts from. It was owned by Mr. and Mrs. Cake who were currently getting drinks for (Y/N) and Twilight.
The other girls were at another table while (Y/N) and Twilight were the only ones left waiting.
Twilight Sparkle: Do you always buy your girlfriends drinks?
(Y/N): It's not every time. I figured though that all of this one could be on me though since we're together again. It was thanks to you that I was able to get my girlfriends back too, Twilight. You're really smart you know that?
Twilight blushes with an embarrassed smile at the compliment before she quickly shakes it away before (Y/N) could even notice.
Twilight Sparkle: I-It's not that big of a deal.
(Y/N): Quit being so modest. I mean it. You're really smart Twilight. You're. . . What's the word. . .? You're adorkable in my opinion.
Twilight gets an even redder face than before as the more (Y/N) flatters here, the more she can't hold the fact that she loves him exactly just like her (Y/N). Around her, he's just been acting so similar and exactly the same that Twilight really would want to be in his harem at some point.
Twilight Sparkle: Th-Thanks (Y/N).
(Y/N): Just saying what I know best.
Mrs. Cake then starts to finish up making Twilight's drink as she adds whipped cream to a mug and drops in some sprinkles.
Twilight Sparkle: And. . . can I get mine with extra oats?
That requests catches Mrs. Cake off guard.
Mrs. Cake: Oats?
(Y/N) motioned his hands at Twilight to remind her that she needs to keep her identities a secret even if they involved things that she normally eats.
Twilight Sparkle: Uh, scratch that. However you normally make it is fine.
She gets her drink passed across the counter, accompanied by a cocked eyebrow along with (Y/N) who sighs in relief that she ignored that. As the two turn around, they both see Flash Sentry approaching them which made (Y/N) smile as his anxiety went away.
(Y/N): What's up Flash?
Flash Sentry: Hey there, (Y/N). From what I've seeing and hearing, you're far in the lead for running for Prince of Fall Formal.
(Y/N): I'm not really surprised. I almost wish that I was never this perfect in the school. . . Well not exactly perfect, but at least above average over most people.
Flash Sentry: Heh, not like you can change your appearance so suddenly. By the way, is it true that Sunset Shimmer losing in the votes right now? I heard that from one student, but I thought it was just a rumor.
(Y/N): It's not a rumor at all, my friend. As the new Princess of Fall Formal is going to be right here.
(Y/N) says this while looking at Twilight who wasn't prepared for being in the spotlight so suddenly, but she just gives a nervous smile while waving.
Twilight Sparkle: *nervous laugh* That's right. . . I'm going to be running for Princess of Fall Formal this year against Sunset Shimmer.
Flash Sentry: Wow. That's pretty impressive. Guess you're friend from another school is not only brave. She must also have the eyes to be your new girlfriend.
Flash said this in a teasing tone and both Twilight and (Y/N) blushed before the latter glared at Flash a little embarrassed from that.
(Y/N): Sh-She's not my girlfriend! She's just ambitious enough to stand up to someone like Sunset and win Princess of Fall Formal! Th-That's how I remember her!
Twilight get's an uneasy look from that as it wasn't entirely true in her case and starts playing with her hair which Flash does not fail to notice and he smirks at (Y/N).
Flash Sentry: *sarcastically* Sure. . . I'll believe you. I'm more surprised by the fact that Sunset hasn't made her drop out yet.
(Y/N): That's actually cause I caught her two goons Snips and Snails trying to spy on her in the library. I scared them so hard that they were running with their tails between their legs. They were ordered by Sunset to get embarrassing photos of Twilight, but there was no way I was going to allow that. Not this time.
Flash Sentry: *sighs* Same old, Sunset Shimmer. She never learns that you always have a counter to everything that she does.
(Y/N): *chuckles* Yep. You can say that again.
(Y/N) then get's an idea in his mind that could help Twilight even more as he decides to ask Flash another question.
(Y/N): Hey, Flash. You don't mind if I ask you a favor do you?
Flash Sentry: Anything's possible.
(Y/N): While we do have a good amount of people voting for Twilight, we need to convince more of the students that she's the perfect candidate. You think that you can tell some other students that don't know about Twilight running?
Twilight Sparkle: So far from what I've been while I'm around (Y/N), all that we could do so far is get Trixie and some more familiar faces that (Y/N) knows.
(Y/N): We even got my girlfriends helping out too.
Flash raised an eyebrow at that in confusion.
Flash Sentry: Girlfriends? . . .You mean Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, and Rarity? I thought you were done with being in a relationship with them. Aren't they also still not being friends?
(Y/N): Well, the course as continued once more as thanks to Twilight, we all found out who was responsible for breaking us all apart.
Twilight Sparkle: That's right. Sunset Shimmer was the one who broke up (Y/N)'s friendship and relationship with the other five using materials to make them think that they couldn't trust each other. It was all to avoid the competition of running for Princess of Spring Fling.
Flash then gets an unhappy look as he crosses his arms and shakes his head in disgust.
Twilight was surprised to hear that as it made her eyes pop open.
Twilight Sparkle: You dated Sunset Shimmer?!
Flash Sentry: That's right. Months ago before the Spring Fling festival. She seemed nice when we both met face to face as she just bluntly asked me out. It seemed weird at first, but I didn't care at the time. A little bit of weeks after, I caught her trying to blackmail a student for their lunch money as she must've caught them doing something embarrassing. I then found out that she really was only dating me because I'm one of (Y/N)'s best friends and she was just trying to make herself more popular to try and get near (Y/N)'s level. I broke up with her on the spot after I found that out.
Twilight Sparkle: That must've hurt your feelings to find out how bad she truly is.
Flash Sentry: It's okay, I got over it pretty quickly. I don't really have any intention of being in relationship right now unless it just happens. I'm more into my music career.
(Y/N): Speaking of music, you gonna be playing in the Fall Formal this year?
Flash Sentry: You bet. Totally wish you could join in if you weren't always so busy with your girlfriends.
(Y/N): Me too, but I'm sure that I'll be busy with them this time too since we're back together.
Flash Sentry: Understandable. And hey, whatever you two are doing are planning to get voted, just know that you'll have my support. If it helps, my band-mates and I will also vote for you.
(Y/N): *smiles* That helps a lot for us. Thanks Flash.
Twilight Sparkle: Hey (Y/N), I'm sure our friends are waiting for us so let's not keep them occupied.
(Y/N): *nods* Right. Again, thanks for the help Flash.
Flash Sentry: Don't thank me yet. I'll see you two later.
Both of them nod as they take their leave, but Flash grabs (Y/N)'s shoulder for one last thing that he wanted to ask.
Flash Sentry: *whispers* Hey, (Y/N). This is just between you and me, alright?
(Y/N) turns to see that Twilight left the conversation and he looks back at Flash before whispering as well.
(Y/N): *whispers* Sure, what is it?
Flash Sentry: *smirks and whispers* I know that you like Twilight.
(Y/N) becomes flustered and blushes when Flash said that out of the blue.
(Y/N): *whispers* Wh-What are you talking about? I just said that she's not my girlfriend!
Flash Sentry: *whispers* True, but I can tell that just from how you act around her that you must have a little bit of feelings for her.
(Y/N): *whispers* S-Stop! I met her yesterday, how could I like her that fast?
Flash Sentry: *whispers* Dude, quit being in denial. You've been around her ever since she's arrived and I thought I heard something from when I came inside. . . "Adorkable?" . . .Really?
(Y/N) was at a loss for words as Flash did make some pretty good points of him possibly being in love with Twilight.
Flash Sentry: *whispers* Plus, I'm sure she feels the same way. She blushes almost every minute around you or speaks like she's giving a speech in front of the entire school.
(Y/N) raised an eyebrow from that before he shrugs his shoulders with a small smile on his face.
(Y/N): *whispers* You really think I have a shot with her?
Flash Sentry: *whispers* This question is coming from the same guy who already has five girlfriends. . .
(Y/N): *rolls eyes* Point taken. . .
Flash Sentry: *whispers* That's all I wanted to ask and know. Don't be afraid. Even though she just got here, she's your distant friend right? Just do what you normally do and ask her at the right time.
(Y/N) looks at Flash astonished from that before he smiles at his advice.
(Y/N): *whispers* Alright then, if you say so. Catch you later, man.
Flash Sentry: *whispers* You too and good luck with the votes.
(Y/N) nods and the two fist bump before he goes to join the rest of the girls that were sitting at a couch also with some refreshments with them and Spike was in Rarity's lap.
Rarity: You seemed awfully busy if you had to talk with your best friend for that long?
Rainbow Dash smirks at Rarity.
Rainbow Dash: Don't be jealous just cause you never got to spend more time with (Y/N) these last few months.
Rarity: Why would I be jealous if (Y/N) wants to hang out with his other friends? I was just a little concerned is all.
(Y/N): It's fine you two. I'm not going to abandon the attention that you want from me as well. I did say that I love you girls, didn't I?
Some of (Y/N)'s girlfriends giggled from that until Applejack stood up in her seat.
Applejack: All right everyone. Dance is tomorrow night, and we still don't know how we're gonna get Twilight the votes she needs to be named princess and (Y/N)'s possibly already got more than enough that he needs. Right now, folks only know Twilight from standing up to Sunset Shimmer and that she's running for princess, but we'll need way more than that if we want the school to notice her.
(Y/N): You're right. The problem is if we just do stuff one at a time, Sunset will quickly notice and make the students vote of her instead. Meaning that we need something big. REALLY big if we want the entire school to notice an amazing girl like Twilight? I've already got Flash's support, but we need some more than just the people who know us? Anyone got any ideas?
Everyone then started to think as they all went into puzzled muttering trying to find a way to support Twilight in a way that could get the whole school's attention. The quiet is shattered when Rarity shoots up to her feet.
Rarity: Ahem. I mean, um, perhaps I have a solution. Now this may be an absolutely preposterous idea, but what if we all wore these as a sign of unity?
After digging around in her bag, Rarity pulls out a pair of yellow pony ears on a blue headband and a blue and yellow tail on a sash meant to be tied around the waist. The other six give her a round of bewildered stares, but she quickly gets the tail in place.
Rarity: Freshman year, they were very, very popular. A way for everybody to show their school spirit! You know? "Go, Canterlot Wondercolts!"
She lets her enthusiasm drop and clears her throat.
Rarity: Ahem. I haven't sold any in ages.
She then retrieves five more sets of these and passes them all out to everyone, but (Y/N). They all put them on and Rarity puts the last pair on Twilight's head.
Rarity: I mean, the five of us are obviously very different, but deep down, we're all Canterlot Wondercolts! Sunset Shimmer is the one who divided us, Twilight Sparkle is the one who united us. And we're gonna let everyone know it! What do you think?
Applejack, Pinkie, Fluttershy and Rainbow had uncertain expressions that shift into approving smiles and grins, accompanied by a thumbs-up from the apple expert. This made both Rarity and Twilight smile as well before they look at (Y/N) who looks at all of the girls with smiles before standing up.
(Y/N): You know, this just might work. Nice thinking Rarity. As expected of my beautiful fashionista.
Rarity blushes from the compliment.
(Y/N): But if we're going to do this, then we not only need to support Twilight, but also tell the school about how we all got back together once again. Who knows, maybe there are some other students who aren't friends cause of Sunset Shimmer. We need to tell them exactly what happened and I'm sure the people of Canterlot High will understand.
Rarity: Actually, that's where you come in (Y/N) darling.
Rarity then whispers a few inaudible things inside of (Y/N)'s ear and hearing Rarity plan actually made him smile.
(Y/N): Alright then, let's do this!
With everyone agreeing to the plan, it was now the penultimate into winning the Princess of Fall Formal for Twilight in the school. It is now lunchtime of the following day as at the rockers' table Flash is fooling with his guitar hanging with the other bandmates. At the fashionistas' table, Rarity takes a seat with her lunch tray. She has put on a blue sweater with the school's C-logo and she quickly puts on her ears and tails.
Rainbow Dash who goes to sit with the athletes does the exact same before Pinkie Pie who was over at the lunch counter puts hers on as well. She looks over at the cafeteria doors to see (Y/N) and Spike come in. Going near a corner, (Y/N) hooks up his phone to a boombox and looks over to Pinkie who gives a thumbs up as a signal that it's ready. Pinkie then picks up her empty tray and starts to bang it on the counter in a four-beat rhythm.
(Cafeteria Song)
Rarity joins in, stomping the same rhythm, and adds handclaps on the second and fourth beats. Fluttershy is then seen with two empty glasses being struck against a table. That leaves Applejack and her contribution is to hit the table with her palms in time with the trays, glasses, stomps, and she clap on the other two beats. Rainbow is next, banging her tray, and feeling the beat going, (Y/N) bobs his head up and down a couple of times before he turns to Spike.
(Y/N): Hit it Spike!
Spike nods as he presses play on the boombox and it started to let out some music following the beat. One by one, the five girls get to their feet and high-step around the room.
Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Fluttershy, & Rarity:
Hey, hey, everybody
We've got something to say
We may seem as different
As the night is from day
The others gather with Rarity to form a line.

Both Applejack and Rainbow Dash smile at each other, an upside-down Pinkie who turns to Rainbow trade smiles, and finally Fluttershy and Pinkie shake their tails at each other, and now all five get back into it. Applejack and Pinkie run past the tables, hand in hand, then Fluttershy and Rainbow.

We're here to shout
Rarity sidles up to a male fashionista and makes him forget the phone in his hand, and Fluttershy tips a wink to the camera.
That the magic of friendship

Vinyl Scratch nods her head faintly to the beat, then gets her shades yanked off by Applejack and her surprise gives way to a smile.

Now lined up, the five girls dance and twirl in unison.

Rainbow jumps onto a chair and plants a foot on its back. It topples over, but she lands upright, appearing on a cell phone video.

Rainbow and Rarity sweep over to a techie filming the scene on his phone, and Applejack and Fluttershy dance.

Pinkie then sings through a megaphone while upside down, blowing a girl's hair back.
Pinkie Pie: Hey, hey, hands up now
We're sending a message to the crowd
She raises and lowers a boy's arms in time, then twirls near the counter.
Hands wave up, then come down

Rarity: Generous, honesty
Applejack: Laughter, kindness, loyalty
Fluttershy: Twilight helped us each to see
Rainbow Dash: All that we can be!

The five girls turn their attention to the cafeteria doors which were opened by (Y/N). Twilight then walks through with the same attire that the other girls had with the blue sweater and pony ears.
Twilight Sparkle: I'm gonna be myself

She has passed the rocker table and Flash who was feeling the music strikes a chord on his guitar.

She hops onto a table and winks.

Pinkie eases one of the dramas out of her seat, Applejack and Fluttershy surprise a fashionista, Pinkie then happily watches two feet start to stomp, and Rainbow Dash twirls a tray on one finger.

The drummer of Flash's clique sits behind a handy kit and adds a beat, and Flash puts his six-string to work in earnest as Pinkie hurls an armload of ears and tails into the crowd. Soon enough, everybody was joining in even (Y/N) who dons his own pair of pony ears on his head.

Apparently outside of the cafeteria, Sunset Shimmer was looking at the whole music number that got every around rallied and she was not happy. She turns around to see Snips and Snails dancing up a storm in the hall. They too have procured some of Rarity's ears and tails which made Sunset even more irritated.
Sunset Shimmer: Take those off!
The two instantly stop getting down and sheepishly follow her orders before she smirks getting an idea in her head.
Sunset Shimmer: I have something I need you to do.
Back inside of the cafeteria, the song came to its end as everyone around cheered for the (Hu) Mane 6 who were now standing up on a table.
Rainbow Dash: Thank you everyone for enjoying our song and looking awesome while joining us.
Applejack: We couldn't have done this without y'all helpin' us.
Pinkie Pie: Yeah! It was super duper fun!
Fluttershy: We hoped that this song would bring us all together and we're glad that it did.
Rarity: And we want to introduce you to the new student who fixed the friendship between me and my friends here, Twilight Sparkle.
Twilight was now the one with the attention as she steps forward.
Twilight Sparkle: Hi, everyone. It's nice to meet and speak with you all here. Some of you may not be aware, but I'm currently running for Princess of Fall Formal.
Hearing this sent some bewildered murmurs across the students as that was a shocking thing to do against the one person who always wins.
Twilight Sparkle: I know many of you are thinking that me running against Sunset Shimmer is very risky as she may try to do something to make me quit, but don't worry I'm sure to keep going and make sure that I win the right way. I wasn't alone ever since the very beginning actually, it was thanks to a really great friend of mine that I was able to get the courage and determination that I needed to run for Princess of Fall Formal. That's why I want you all to not only hear my words, but also thank the Hero of Canterlot High himself, (Y/N) (L/N).
Hearing his name brought cheers to everyone around as Twilight turns to where (Y/N) was and she gestures for him to come up on the table and he does so before turning to the entire crowd.
(Y/N): That's right everyone. This year, we're going to have a different Princess of the Fall Formal and I'm here to help make sure that happens. Now everyone listen closely, Twilight Sparkle and I may have been the one to help start this whole thing, but we're not going to be able to finish it without all of your help as well. I was once in a relationship with these five lovely girls before you all then noticed that I broke up with them. However, it was thanks to Twilight that I was able to get back together with them once more. How is this all possible, you ask? Many of your friendships may have been broken as well and I can tell you all right now that the culprit is none other than Sunset Shimmer.
Micro Chips: Sunset Shimmer?! What do you mean?!
(Y/N): Twilight helped me discover that she and her two goons, Snips and Snails were the reason that my girlfriends' friendship broke up in the first place. She used fake texts and emails to trick them into turning on each other and it caused them to lose each others trust entirely. The same goes for the breakup, Sunset knew that I wouldn't be able to control their arguments for long, and it led me to just wanting to run away from it all. We assumed that it was each other's fault, but once we all spoke to each other and explained we finally realized the truth. And I'm sure if you all did do the same thing, you're friendships will reunite as well.
Mystery Mint: Why would Sunset Shimmer do such a thing?
(Y/N): It's all to avoid the competition that she come across. If someone like any of you males or females ran for Prince or Princess of Fall Formal, Sunset would try her best to make sure that you don't get in her way. Her only solution to that was to break all of your friendships with one another. It's exactly how she won Princess of Spring Fling this year.
Blueberry Cake: I should have known!
Nolan North: That no good bully queen tricked us all!
Sandalwood: Snips and Snails too! They constantly follow like her lap dogs and obey her every command!
Cherry Crash: I can't believe they tricked us!
Teddy: We gotta teach them a lesson!
Bulk Biceps: YEAH! Let's bring them down!
Seeing everyone rile up in anger was about to go out of hand, (Y/N) quickly get's their attention to stop them.
(Y/N): Everyone STOP! Calm down! I know you all probably want to retaliate and get some revenge on Sunset Shimmer, but don't go rioting with violence. That's not the right way we need to show her that she can't always get what she wants. But don't worry, I'm going to show you all that if you vote for both me and Twilight in the Fall Formal, it will Sunset's ego and it will definitely teach her a lesson.
Flash Sentry: He's right, you guys! If we just continue to vote for Twilight and (Y/N), Sunset will be sure to know that this entire school is not for her to think that she can rule the place. Being violent will make us no different than what Sunset Shimmer did to us. Twilight Sparkle not only fixed their friendships, but ours as well.
(Y/N) smiles at Flash supporting him as the students started to let out some agreeing chatter.
Ringo: I agree with Flash. I'll vote for Twilight. I'll even vote for (Y/N) on top of that.
Brawly Beats: Yep! It's time Sunset Shimmer got put in her place!
(Y/N): That's right everyone! Now look it may be true that most, maybe all of you had your own faults, but you need to know that if you believe that you can make things right, then do the very first step in fixing that. Twilight helped us all see the way and she's had my full support since the start because I believed in her. That's what true heroism is! Don't stop and think that everything will stay the same because it happened! If you can see that you can change it, then give it a shot! Be there for your friends!
The speech was just about to its end as Rainbow Dash placed her hand on (Y/N)'s shoulder.
(Y/N): Sunset Shimmer may think that she's the greatest thing ever since this school was made, but we can all show her that that is not true! Right now she may be plotting something to try and beat us once more, but what she doesn't know is that our friendship is stronger than her desires because we are all in this TOGETHER! So I ask all of you to come together as friends again to help Twilight win the crown!
After that whole speech, the students started clapping to applaud the (Hu) Mane 7 for their effort to bring the friendships of the entire school back together, but also to let them know that they have their full support as well. Students being talking and agreeing to vote for Twilight and also some were apologizing for certain events that happened to them as well.
(Y/N): Look at them. I think we all got to them pretty well.
Pinkie then suddenly hugs (Y/N).
Pinkie Pie: You're absolutely right (Y/N)! With your speech as well, Twilight will surely win now!
Twilight Sparkle: You really think so?
Rarity: Darling, with everyone that now knows that they were fooled by Sunset Shimmer and are now rallying with you. How much more support could you possibly get?
Applejack: She's right. Now people will definitely vote for ya instead of that lyin' bully.
(Y/N): Yep, they all surely have the courage now to not be afraid of Sunset anymore. Now that this whole plan was a success, let's get back to our classes since lunch is over.
The rest of the girls nodded as they all walked out of the cafeteria to go and continue their normal school day in their classes.
Some time had passed as it was now the afternoon in the school halls. The (Hu) Mane 7 were walking through the halls and they see that all of the students were wearing fake pony ears and tails from earlier in the cafeteria.
Rarity: Doesn't everyone look just fabulous?
Twilight Sparkle: It was a great idea, Rarity!
Rarity: Well, to be fair, (Y/N) came up with our musical number.
(Y/N): Well, that was just to give our motivation a little bit of a push. I'm being honest when I say that it was all you Rarity. It was your idea to give the fake ears and tails out and you knew exactly the things I should say in that speech I gave. Coming up with such good ideas is one of the reasons I love you as my girlfriend, Rarity.
Rarity blushes from that before she walks up and pecks (Y/N) on the lips.
Rarity: Why, thank you darling!
As the (Hu) Mane 7 kept walking, they then notice Sunset Shimmer along with Snips and Snails walking down the hall with her and she had a mischievous smile on her face confusing everyone around glaring at her.
Applejack: Don't know what she's smilin' about. Twilight's the one that's gonna be Princess of the Fall Formal.
The unholy trinity moves along, with Snips flicking fingers from the end of his nose to point at them and Snails stifling a laugh. A collective glance off down the hall shows the (Hu) Mane 7 that they have stopped before a closed door.
(Y/N): (Grr. . . What are you up to now Sunset Shimmer?)
Sunset then knocks on the door and out comes a tall woman who has light phthalo bluish grey skin, moderate sapphire blue and pale, light grayish Persian blue hair, moderate opal eyes, pale, light grayish magenta eye shadow and she is wearing a purple shirt with a white collar that has a dark blue crescent moon symbol on it, dark blue pants and purple and white shoes. This was Principal Celestia's younger sister and the vice principal of Canterlot High, Vice Principal Luna.
Sunset Shimmer: Vice Principal Luna! Something terrible has happened!
Sunset put on a fake innocent gesture to make herself seem sincere.
Going to the gymnasium, where the two see the decorations for the Formal have been well and truly wrecked. Things were torn to pieces and tables were broken which made Vice Principal Luna's eye pop open.
Sunset Shimmer: Isn't this just awful? And after Pinkie Pie worked so hard to make things so perfect! Why would (Y/N) (L/N) and Twilight Sparkle do something like this?
Vice Principal Luna: Why would you think (Y/N) and Twilight were responsible for something like this?
Sunset Shimmer: Because I have proof.
Sunset Shimmer pulls out a folder to give to Vice Principal, but unbeknownst to the two, Flash Sentry was watching from the doorway. The circumstances do not sit right in his mind, and he backs quietly away.
Flash Sentry: (Looks like (Y/N) needs my help once more.)
Soon enough, this ended up with both (Y/N) and Twilight inside of the vice principal's office as they were sitting in front of her crescent-moon-marked desk, while she stands at the window, folder and photos in hand. The blinds are closed, and none of the lights are on. Twilight and (Y/N) have removed their ears and tail back with their regular attire.
Twilight Sparkle: But. . . But I don't understand!
(Y/N): Luna! This is all absolutely crazy!
Vice Principal Luna: This is clearly you two in the photographs, is it not?
She then presents three slightly blurred shots of Twilight and (Y/N) kicking over chairs, booting a backdrop to kindling, standing and grinning by the shattered disco ball. Twilight grimaces mightily and tries to shrink into herself a bit while (Y/N) narrows his eyes at the pictures.
(Y/N): (Oh, now she's just downright being greedy about the crown! *sarcastically* Clever, thinking that you can frame us, Sunset!)
Twilight Sparkle: Yes but-
(Y/N): Luna, you've known me even before high school and you know that I wouldn't something so bad that it would resort to vandalism. Plus, even if this looks like solid evidence, how do you know that their not being made to frame Twilight and I? Plus, we were with our friends most of the day as well.
Vice Principal Luna: (Y/N), you are a good student and I definitely know that, but Miss Sparkle here has only been here for three days compared to you. If you associate with her, then I would believe that she would be a good student as well. However, I can't ignore these photos give to me. Do you have anything to counter this evidence that it wasn't you two in the gym?
(Y/N) and Twilight looked at each worried as they didn't even have the time to even catch any evidence. Vice Principal Luna stares at the two before she sighs with a guilty look on her face.
Vice Principal Luna: I see. . . Well, I'm afraid that I'll have to not allow you two-
Before she could finish that sentence, someone knocks onto the door to her office and in comes Flash Sentry holding his own documents.
Flash Sentry: Vice Principal Luna. I found these in a trash can in the library. Thought you should see them.
He hands over the documents as they were cut photos.
Flash Sentry: Someone obviously combined these photos to make it look like Twilight and (Y/N) were the ones who trashed the gym.
As Vice Principal Luna lifts them up for a closer inspection, she clearly can now see that the photos were cut as they were taken during the one-on-one soccer game against Rainbow Dash.
Vice Principal Luna: I appreciate you bringing these to my attention, Flash.
She then walks back to her desk to address both Twilight and (Y/N).
Vice Principal Luna: In light of this new evidence, you two may of course continue your bid to be crowned both Prince and Princess of the Fall Formal.
This news brightens both (Y/N) and Twilight with smiles as they both turned and gave each other a hug that they're still both in this. After breaking the hug, (Y/N) stands up and turns to Flash.
(Y/N): Thanks for the save, Flash.
Flash Sentry: No problem man. What kind of friend would I be if I didn't prove your innocence? I wouldn't be much of a Canterlot Wondercolt would I?
Vice Principal Luna: I am afraid that I have some bad news though. Enough damage has been done to the gym that we will have to postpone the dance until tomorrow night. If you will excuse me, I need to let my sister know about this latest development.
The two teens shift their attention to each other as her footsteps die away.
(Y/N): Dude, you really saved our reputations back there. How did you know that we would be in trouble though?
Flash Sentry: After everything you said about Sunset Shimmer ruining our friendships, I thought it was kind of fishy that she suddenly went to Vice Principal Luna and sure enough I saw her accusing you of trashing the gym which would lead to you and Twilight not being able to enroll in the Fall Formal. I quickly looked around for proof of your innocence and I found that Sunset used cut out photos that she put in the trash in the library.
Twilight Sparkle: Thank you, Flash. You and (Y/N) seem pretty close.
Flash Sentry: I don't know if he told you or not, but we met during sophomore year in band class.
(Y/N): That's right. There was a little project that we both had to do that our teacher assigned us and that was before we knew that we had so much similar taste in music.
Flash Sentry: I'm mostly into rock music and that was actually one of (Y/N)'s favorite music genres as well. That's when we knew that we would definitely be a good pair for making music together.
(Y/N): We made a song that blew even the teacher's minds and ever since we aced that project, we've not only been talking, but became close friends.
Flash Sentry: And I'm proud of it.
(Y/N): You said it.
The two then proceeded to do a fist bump before grabbing either hands to pull each other in for a bro hug. Twilight smiled at the bond between the two before a thought came into her mind that made her worry.
Twilight Sparkle: Hold on, didn't Vice Principal Luna say that the Fall Formal is happening tomorrow night instead of tonight?
Flash Sentry: Yes, Vice Principal Luna did say that moments ago.
Twilight Sparkle: Oh no! Nonononono! I can't! The portal! That'll be too late!
Twilight panicked as she ran off which made Flash raise an eyebrow.
Flash Sentry: What's up with her?
(Y/N) thought for a second before his eyes widened in realization to why Twilight was panicking so much and that's because the portal to her world will close tonight if she doesn't get the crowns back as she needed.
(Y/N): I just realized something. Sorry Flash, but I've got to get going too.
Flash Sentry: Hold on, (Y/N).
(Y/N) was about to pursue Twilight before Flash's sudden comment stopped him.
Flash Sentry: You're about to win Prince of Fall Formal with a girl that's not even close to when Sunset Shimmer ran for Princess of Fall Formal. You should ask her to dance with you once you two win.
(Y/N) was surprised from that as he blushes with a flustered look on his face.
(Y/N): A-Ask out T-Twililght?! I-I don't know. . . I mean-
Flash Sentry: Dude! Quit denying it! You're clearly into her! This'll probably be your one and only chance you even get to spend time like this with her. Even in the process, you can ask her to join your harem of girls that you already have.
(Y/N) get's an uneasy look on his face wondering if his other five girlfriends would even be okay with that. Flash then walks up and places a hand on (Y/N)'s shoulder.
Flash Sentry: *sighs* Look, you've known those girls longer than I have. You broke up with them and Twilight was the one who brought you back together right? If the girls all understand everything that happened between them, then I'm sure that they wouldn't mind another girl joining in as well. Twilight's perfect for you in my opinion.
(Y/N): Huh. . . You really think so?
Flash Sentry: Man up, (Y/N). You're the most popular guy in this school and you can't ask a single girl to a dance? *chuckles* I wonder how some others would react if they found out.
(Y/N) gave a half-lidded bored look at Flash who gives a small laugh once more.
Flash Sentry: I'm kidding. But seriously, go for it (Y/N).
(Y/N) thinks to himself for a few seconds before he shrugs his shoulders and gives a small smile.
(Y/N): Okay. I'll do it. It's time this guy actually DID have a princess to dance with.
Flash Sentry: *nods* Now that's the confidence the Hero of Canterlot High has. Well, sorry I kept you if what you and Twilight needed to do was urgent.
(Y/N): It's no problem. See ya, Flash.
(Y/N) waves to Flash who does the same before he runs off to go and catch up with Twilight.
(Y/N) was indeed able to catch up running alongside Twilight as the two ran inside of Carousel Boutique, the place where Rarity works on her clothes. Twilight races past Applejack, Fluttershy, and Rarity and into a dressing room, where Twilight sets down her backpack to allow Spike to come out and she leans against a wall to catch her breath.
Rarity: Twilight, is everything okay in there?
Twilight Sparkle: Um yeah. It's just. . . (Y/N), can you come inside so can I talk with you alone?
(Y/N) looks around as his other girlfriends were confused of why only specifically him before Twilight reaches out to yank him inside causing him to let out a slight yelp. She then closes the curtains to allow them to speak to each other privately.
Spike: Are you alright, Twilight?
Twilight Sparkle: No! I'm not okay at all! If I don't get the crowns tonight, I won't be able to go back to Equestria for another thirty moons! Oh, what are we gonna do, (Y/N)?
(Y/N): I have no idea. This does seem to be quite the dilemma for us now that the gym's trashed. If we don't do something, Sunset will win and you won't be able to go back home.
Spike: I know. Let's just tell your girlfriends the truth. Let them know what's really at stake if Twilight doesn't get the crowns tonight. They'll help us figure somethin' out.
Twilight Sparkle: But what if they won't?
She then turns to a mirror.
Twilight Sparkle: What if when they find out how different I really am. . .?
Her reflection wavers a bit in the mirror and shifts for her to see her original equine version, eyes quivering with fear and indecision, and she cannot bring herself to finish the sentence. (Y/N) and Spike look at one another before Spike smiles at him and gestures for (Y/N) to bring Twilight out of despair. (Y/N) get's unsure himself before he takes a peek out the curtains to see his girlfriends picking out outfits. He then closes the curtains back and get's a determined look on his face as he remembers the conversation that he had with Flash earlier. Now it's time to shine to motivate Twilight as he walks up to her.
(Y/N): Twilight, remember what I told you from the first day that we met at the front of the school? This all wasn't my business and heck, I could've just stopped helping you whenever I wanted to. But I didn't because I believed you personally and saw what happened. I didn't care whether you were a pony princess or not, I wanted to help because it was the right thing to do.
(Y/N) then takes both of Twilight's hands making her blush and helps her up to her feet.
(Y/N): You were the one who got my relationship back together with my other girlfriends and their friendship too. If they were to know, I'm sure they would completely understand as I know them better than anyone and you do too. I know I said that people may think that I'm crazy if we just go up and say who you really are. . . But that doesn't matter anymore! I want to help get you home through that portal so you can reunite with your friends in the other world, and if that means I have to be a laughing stock or worse, ruin my own reputation as the Hero of Canterlot High, then so be it! I'll give up everything that takes up my normal life for you!
Twilight was astonished by (Y/N)'s words before he surprises her with a hug and she slowly returns it with a blushing smile on her face.
Twilight Sparkle: Y-You r-really mean that?
(Y/N): It's the complete truth! You may be a friend that I met a couple of days ago, but as I got to know you, I'd say that I really, REALLY care about you. I'll make sure that you get back to Equestria no matter what.
They both then break the hug as the two stared each other in the eyes with blushing cheeks, holding each other's hands. They looked like they were really in love with one another and Spike rolls his eyes and smiles as he's seen the scene with them as well.
Spike: You two are really getting into the mood, aren't you?
Both of them looked at Spike with raised eyebrows before they realized how long they've been holding hands and they immediately let go with (Y/N) rubbing the back of his head in embarrassment.
(Y/N): S-Sorry, I-I got carried away Twilight.
Twilight Sparkle: I-It's fine. I'm okay. Let's tell them the truth.
(Y/N) nods as he turns to move the curtain away and the rest of the girls look at them in confusion.
Applejack: Y'all alright?
Twilight Sparkle: The Fall Formal isn't happening tonight.
Pinkie Pie: What?!
(Y/N): It had to be postponed because Sunset Shimmer had Snips and Snails ruin all of Pinkie Pie's decorations.
Pinkie Pie: WHAT?!
(Y/N): Not only that, but she tried to frame Twilight and I for trashing the gym. Luckily Flash was there to back us up.
Rainbow Dash: Wow, she's desperate. She really doesn't want Twilight to win that badly?
Twilight Sparkle: You have no idea, but the Fall Formal has to happen tonight.
Pinkie Pie: Wha-
This exclamation gets cut short by Applejack's hand clamping itself over her mouth. Her eyes shoot her a "don't even think about it" look before they look back towards (Y/N) and Twilight. The latter lets out a heavy sigh and gets ready to lay it out.
Twilight Sparkle: You see. . .
The second Applejack lowers her hand, it is as if the pipe connecting Pinkie's brain and tongue has burst and she had the most absolutely preposterous answer ready to come out of her mouth.
Pinkie Pie: You're from an alternate world and you're a pony princess there and the crown actually has a magical element embedded in it that helps power up other magical elements, and without it, they don't work anymore, and you need them to help protect your magical world, and if you don't get the crown tonight, you'll be stuck in this world and you won't be able to get back for, like, a really, really long time!
She then cranks off the biggest, squeakiest grin of her life, in this world or the other, and none of the four alongside her quite knows what to make of this verbal tsunami.
Twilight, (Y/N), and Spike however had their jaws completely dropped open seeing that Pinkie has drilled a bullseye in the explanation.
(Y/N) stammers for a few seconds before he just facepalms.
(Y/N): . . .I have absolutely no words.
Rainbow Dash: Yeah, I'm pretty sure that isn't the reason.
Spike: Nope, she's pretty much spot-on.
Now Rarity gets into the act, so gobsmacked by this last that she claps hands to temples.
Rarity: HE CAN TALK!?
Spike: Oh, yeah! And back where I come from, I'm not even a dog! I'm a ferocious, fire-breathing dragon!
As he throws off a cocky little smile, Fluttershy shoves Pinkie and Rarity aside in her eagerness before kneeling down at him.
Fluttershy: This is so amazing! Tell me, what are you thinking right now?
The oddness of this particular question leaves him at a loss as Fluttershy kept a ear-to-ear smile trained onto him awestruck by his ability to talk. Spike however walks over to Rarity.
Spike: Sure would love a scratch behind the old ears!
Rarity: Gah. . .
Witnessing his power of speech has left her still completely dumbstruck he changes his mind.
Spike: Uh, maybe later.
Twilight then turns her attention to Pinkie.
Twilight Sparkle: How did you know all that?
Pinkie Pie: Just a hunch.
Applejack: Wait a minute! Lemme get this straight. You're a pony?
Rarity: You're a princess?
Fluttershy: You're from another world?
Now fully bowled out, Twilight can do little but scratch the back of her head and offer a shaky, blushing smile.
Rainbow Dash: That. . . is. . . AWESOME!
The others voice similar opinions as they gather around the out-of-towner. Spike and (Y/N) both smirk at each other as if they knew that this was the obvious outcome to happen with Twilight. Rarity then suddenly grasps Twilight's arms in extreme curiosity.
Rarity: Wait, if you're a princess then that must mean that you have to have a prince with you! What's he like?! I demand to know! Who is it?!
That was the one question that Twilight hoped to avoid as long as she stepped foot in this world meeting her own friends who is already dating her boyfriend that's in this world. It made her blush and partially sweat as Applejack pulls Rarity away from her being so close to Twilight.
Applejack: Simmer down there girl. Give her some space. Still, I'm wonderin' the same thing. You got a prince with ya as well?
Twilight Sparkle: Um. . . Yes, but. . .
Pinkie Pie: Then what's with all of the pausing?! I want to know too! Come on, Twilight, who's your lucky guy?
Twilight looks at all five of the girls who were looking at her in curiosity of who she's got as a boyfriend back in Equestria. She plays with her hair a bit nervous as she doesn't know how these girls will react. She eyes Spike who shrugs his shoulders as to say just go with the flow. Seeing that they won't let Twilight off unanswered, she sighs before she just turns around and looks the only young man behind her, (Y/N).
The girls were all confused by what Twilight meant with that gesture before they finally realized it and they gasped so loud that it was the biggest surprise that they heard in their life. (Y/N) was also perplexed by their reaction before seeing that Twilight was looking at him, his eyes popped wide open and he flinches somewhat before he grows a blush so big that his face was nearly red.
(Y/N): Uh. . . I-I-I'm. . .
Twilight Sparkle: Yes. I do indeed have a prince back in Equestria. . . And it's no other guy that I love than you. . . (Y/N).
(Y/N)'s surprise along with the girls' were calmed down a bit, but they were still bewildered that (Y/N) is actually a prince that's Twilight's boyfriend.
Rarity: Heavens. . . To think that my own prince is actually with a princess in another world.
Fluttershy: I'm. . . I'm shocked.
Twilight Sparkle: And that's not all. . . (Y/N), you have a harem where I come from too.
Rainbow Dash: Well to be honest that's (Y/N), so I wouldn't be that surprised if his other self as girlfriends as well. Still. . . An actual prince and a princess. . .
Applejack: Yet their both running for their own Fall Formal positions.
(Y/N) was still a little embarrassed before Twilight walks up to him.
Twilight Sparkle: From the moment I saw you, from the times you helped me, and even now. . . I couldn't help, but see my prince here as well.
(Y/N): This is all. . . really hard to take in, but. . . Wow! I'm an actual prince. . .!
Pinkie Pie: I can't believe it either! My sweetie is a real prince in another world! That I did NOT have a hunch on!
(Y/N): I guess that also leaves me to asking you girls something. . . especially you Twilight. I guess you could say. . . I feel exactly the same way.
This made (Y/N)'s girlfriends gasp as (Y/N) was confessing his love for Twilight as well.
(Y/N): I've known myself to a pretty attractive kind of guy. . . But the more I spent time with you, I couldn't help but catch feelings for you as well, Twi. It kind of bummed me when I knew that you had to leave soon, so I just dealt with it, but now that you know. . . I have no choice, but to say that I'm in love with you too.
This surprised Twilight a bit before she breaks out into a smile that (Y/N) loves her as well. He smiles back before taking both of her hands.
(Y/N): The Fall Formal has to happen tonight right? And you need those crowns? Well before you go, I wanted to ask if you want to. . . maybe. . . I mean. . .
Twilight, however, silences him and smiles at him sweetly.
Twilight Sparkle: I'd love to be your date at the Fall Formal.
This made (Y/N) reciprocate the smile before he walks over to his five girlfriends.
(Y/N): I know that you five are as surprised as I am and trust me. . . This has all been circling in my head for awhile now. But I hope you five don't mind if an extra girl is in the harem. . . Do you?
They all just smile at each other before they all look at their boyfriend and nod.
Rarity: Of course, darling.
Applejack: Ya never said that ya don't love us as much anymore. I'm okay with it, hun.
Pinkie Pie: Plus one! Everyone in this room's got our (Y/N)!
Rainbow Dash: Well. . . As long as you give me some attention too, I don't mind it.
Fluttershy: Twilight's our friend. I wouldn't mind having her in our harem (Y/N).
Seeing that they completely understood, (Y/N) smiled nearly welling up with tears before all seven gather up in a group hug which Spike smiles at. They then all break the hug and (Y/N) remembers something.
(Y/N): We've still got the problem with the gym. Come on, let's go and take a look at the damage that's happened there.
The (Hu) Mane 7 and one dog return to the school now standing inside the gym door and they all survey the devastation caused by Sunset Shimmer.
Rarity: I simply cannot believe they did all this!
Pinkie Pie: If I only had some kind of. . . party cannon that could decorate everything super fast!
(Y/N): Hmm. Well, that's just means that we just have to clean it back up.
Twilight Sparkle: (Y/N)'s right. I know it seems impossible, but, maybe if we all work together?
Applejack: Now that's the kinda can-do spirit I'm lookin' for in a Fall Formal Princess! Let's do it, y'all!
Rarity: Absolutely!
Rainbow Dash: Rock on!
Pinkie Pie: Yes, indeedily!
Fluttershy: *whispers* Yaaay!
With that being said, the (Hu) Mane 7 immediately got started with cleaning up the entire gymnasium by getting rid of everything that was broken or torn up. They also got rid of all of the trash laying on the floor and dumped them out in waste bins. As time flew by though, more students were witnessing the (Hu) Mane 7's efforts to clean up the gymnasium and they all decided to help out as well. This continued until eventually a whole lot of students including Flash Sentry and his band, helped out with all of the cleanup. After such a long amount of time, the gym was finally cleaned up and looked good as new.
The (Hu) Mane 7 all looked at their accomplishment with pride and joy.
Pinkie Pie: This. . . looks. . . sooooo. . . GOOD!
The sound of one pair of hands clapping is heard and everyone looks to see that Celestia and Luna have entered, the former using her palms and the latter holding a locked box.
Principal Celestia: All right, everyone! Fall Formal is back on for this evening.
Everyone around cheered at that.
Principal Celestia: So you'd better get out of here and start getting ready. Oh, and don't forget to cast your ballots for the Fall Formal Prince and Princess on your way out!
Scott Green: You got my vote, Twilight.
Cloudy Kicks: Mine too!
Tennis Match: I'm even going to vote for (Y/N) on top of that.
(Y/N): *chuckles* Looks like things are still on for the night. You've gotten so many votes that you're sure to win, Twilight.
Twilight Sparkle: You really think so?
(Y/N): I know so. We'll get ready to have fun, but we still need to be cautious of Sunset since she wants your crown no matter what.
Applejack: He's right y'all. Let's not hesitate on what Sunset Shimmer may be plannin', but still I can't wait for a Fall Formal to remember.
While all of the commotion was going on, Sunset Shimmer was secretly looking at everything with supreme vexation. She turns away from the door to focus on Snips and Snails, who are sitting in here as well. Snips has put on a football helmet, while Snails was tossing a baseball idly.
Sunset Shimmer: You're lucky she was able to pull this off. Next time I ask you to make a mess of things, try to show a little restraint!
She scolds them before smirking as if she's got one more thing up her sleeve.
Sunset Shimmer: I need this Formal to go on tonight just as much as she does.
