While the heroes were happy Jashin was very cross. He was absolute enraged by what had taken place. His powerful servant had been eaten by his enemy and treated as a boon after a conquest.
It had strengthened his enemy even more. It was completely out his calculations for that red dragon to appear.
If Red hadn't appeared, Fred could have continued growing and Jashin would have gotten stronger from the connection.
He had barely grown in power now because of that accursed dragon.
Jashin grinded his teeth as the chains around him shook with his fury, making some noise.
He extended his hand and pierced through the body in front of him before ripping out the still beating heart.
The scream of agony brought some solace to his soul and he squeezed the heart over his mouth to get the life blood from it before throwing it to his hounds.
Everything had gone awry since the rising of Naruto. How he wished to strangle the fool? Torture him for eternity for this frustration.
Jashin paced around aggressively and stopped as he shook his head.
"Well, what is done is done. We need to go bigger next time and get some lives while we are at it. What do you think children?" Jashin turned to his loyal slaves on their knees
They all responded positively and fear was palpable in their tone. They were shaking, afraid that their Lord would punish them for the failure.
"Good, prepare until I give the call." Jashin muttered in a cold tone as he stepped through space and arrived in a cold place.
It was a world of ice, snow everywhere and near the frozen waters stood the owner. Ishiki was standing over the frozen water while a large aquatic creature swam under him like loyal puppy. It was a horrifying creature of large stature.
"Jashin, what do you think I should do?" Ishiki asked in a calm tone without turning around as he looked into the great horizon.
He was thinking about his encounter with Naruto. They had learned about each other and just like Naruto gained, Ishiki had also gained.
Living on this planet for so long and watching Naruto grow caused Ishiki to change, and actually train his powers.
His ability was much greater than his original form. Jigen's body wasn't compatible so he couldn't even do that properly as the body would collapse from the immense power.
It was a biological weapon but even the tech was unable to replicate his original body features and handle his power.
So he was waiting for his ideal vessel, the vessel that he had prepared so carefully. Just a little bit more and he was ready to take over the body.
Back to Naruto, Ishiki considered taking him by force. Watching him for so long, it seems like he had developed an obsession with the blonde.
They were perfectly suited for each other. They could do so much more than this small planet and could fly through ranks, working together.
It seemed like a preposterous thought but Ishiki found it amusing. He had a control collar on hand that he was using for his servants but it needed modifications to handle such a target.
While Ishiki was chill, Jashin felt the pressure from those words. The shame caused him to almost erupt after having barely calmed down.
Jashin squeezed his fists causing them to almost bleed from the pressure as he looked towards Ishiki.
"I apologize for my mistake and I exist to serve." Jashin said calmly as he went down to the floor and put his head down in submission.
He was the nightmare of the world and here his head was down. He had been humiliated once again. If not for Ishiki's use, Jashin would kill him.
Ishiki turned around and looked at the ugly being. It was such an unsightly creature that he was absolutely disgusted by its presence.
Ishiki loved things of class and beauty. Jashin was on the opposite spectrum, a temporary slave until he was done.
Going to his knees, Ishiki placed his hand on the bald head of Jashin and applied pressure that caused the ice to break.
"I don't like failure, Jashin. You promised me something and delivered not even a quarter of it. That displeases me, why didn't you intervene?" Ishiki spoke coldly as his golden wheel like eyes spun as he brought up Jashin's head that was bleeding from the impact.
Ishiki had made the ice from his powers so it was extremely durable and getting hard enough to break it was very damaging for anyone.
Jashin felt the cold trying to invade his body. It was one of Ishiki's ability, the cursed ice. He could resist it but that would only make things worse.
"I exist to serve." Jashin repeated as he could say nothing else.
Ishiki gave him a look and stood up before giving him a kick on the head that sent him flying at extreme velocity.
Jashin didn't stop his flight and he flew around the globe before getting skewered on some dark spears. Ishiki was very cruel when failure was involved and it had become especially bad after Kaguya's betrayal.
"Take some time and come up with a new plan. This time utilize the resources and don't overestimate yourself." Ishiki patted his head and sent back to his dimension.
Turning to the side, he saw Delta walk towards him. She was an android that had human memories, not everything.
She could operate in multiple locations at once since she had many bodies. The one in Konoha was a weak body while the one in the base was the strongest and it had received a new upgrade.
Ishiki found her charming and she was attracted to him. They had more than a professional relationship. He had such relationship with his other androids as well, but sadly it seems they had been destroyed while he was on earth.
Beside Delta, there was another android that was in progress. She had yet to wake up but that one was absolutely exceptional.
"Amado, how is the progress for the collar?" Ishiki asked through the communication device as he started walking and Delta entangled her arm with his.
"Hey babe, I hope you aren't feeling down." Delta knew that the mission was a failure and how annoyed Ishiki got.
She kissed his hand and looked at him with affection. She wasn't scared of him and was extremely loyal to him.
It didn't mean that she didn't act spoilt or rude towards him, she absolutely did.
"Sir, it will take some time." Amado informed as he was working in his lab with some cyborgs in the liquid containers for him to modify.
He had a collar on his neck as Ishiki didn't trust people that much, but Amado was a genius.
"I will need it soon, so don't fail me." Ishiki held Delta by the waist and gave Amado a reminder before moving on to a small picnic with Delta.
On this weak planet, Ishiki had many ways to pass time and one of those was with Delta. She was a weapon for his use but her persistence had drilled its way into his heart, a little bit.
He didn't mind making her a part of his collection.
"I am doing fine, Delta. But, thank you for asking. How about you? Is it fun in Konoha and did you make any friends?"
"Hehe, I did. I have even visited the Uzumaki house for dinner a few times, want me to slip some poison into their food and kill some kids."
"The offer is not so bad, but not yet." Ishiki smiled and the duo took a walk around the chilly region while engaging in a casual conversation and eating some food together.
Time flew by and morning came like usual but there was a clear difference in the Uzumaki family. Rias was not a child anymore. Her body had adapted to her memories and given her the older form.
Her attitude was different and she lacked the positive outlook of the kid she had been last night. Even Rias found it awkward and sat in her room, hesitating.
She didn't how to face her family. She didn't know what they would think.
There were negative thoughts coiling around her soul. You killed our Rias, those kinds of thoughts. She felt her palms sweaty and her heart beat heavy.
But this was the Uzumaki household and no one was allowed to mop around in a dark cave. Kushina and Minato walked into the room after giving a knock.
They were wearing their casual clothes. Kushina wore a white dress with blue jeans while Minato wore his usual light body armor without the metallic parts and a pair of glasses.
Rias looked at them awkwardly and looked down trying to find the words to say.
"Good morning sweetie, how was the night?" Kushina spoke affectionately as she walked closer and sat down beside Rias before giving her a hug.
She brushed the silk long crimson hair like usual and showed no untoward feelings. It wasn't that they were completely chill but they had time to process it.
Even they felt some awkwardness and some negative feelings. Reincarnation was a messy issue and none had actually confronted it before.
Do they consider that this Rias killed their Rias?
Or do they consider this Rias as the complete Rias?
They had to think about it and none could blame Rias since she didn't have control of this phenomenon. She was just a child.
She had all the memories of this world and the old life, so Naruto concluded she was the complete Rias.
She was still the person they loved, just depressed at the moment and matured.
Maybe it would have been weird and slightly violent in a different situation but they were the Uzumaki, and they all did it straightforwardly.
Hearing the similar tone, Rias looked up into those affectionate eyes and bit her lips.
"Go...good morning moth…mom, it was a good night." Unlike the usual response, Rias was very robotic as she found it hard to pick her words.
"Rias, what do you like the most?" Minato asked as he picked up the chair from the nearby table and sat in front of them.
Rias didn't understand what he meant but she knew that lying was impossible in this house. There were seals available to stop such a thing.
"I like comics and I love big brother." Rias replied with a simple answer as it just flowed out of her mouth. It was the child Rias part of her and it resonated with her personality.
Rias could feel that she was different from before. She was stronger for sure but there was this deep positivity inside of her heart.
She felt more conscious of others, making her kinder than ever before. Her thought process was deeper as she inherited the abilities of the kid Rias who would have understood the usage later.
Minato and Kushina smiled as it was the answer that their Rias would give. She gave the words with genuine emotion that they could feel and Kushina could feel her inner conflict.
She was feeling slightly lost and glancing towards Naruto's portrait and figures.
"See, you are still the same. You are still our Rias, our lovely child. We understand what happened and don't fault you with it. You are the combination, so we only wish that you will continue being our child and get pampered by us. Your big brother was older than us when we came back to life." Kushina gave another hug and held her face between her hands, looking into her eyes.
She spoke with a smile. There was no hidden hatred or anything. There was only love.
Rias felt the positive emotions hit her like a wave. She was saved from depression by Naruto and now her parents gave her the courage to continue living here without feeling like an outsider.
She knew it wasn't going to be easy but her family won't let her fall. In a way, this family was much better than her previous family.
"Mom, sorry for making you worry. I will definitely let you pamper me and take big brother's place." Rias hugged her back and enjoyed the warmth as she spoke without hesitation.
The aura of the region was making the process smoother as Naruto didn't want people to lose themselves to such problems.
Naruto stood outside the room with Hinata as he heard everything and helped the process with just his presence.
He was always available for his family and would never let them down.
A.N Hope you enjoyed and comment
I will be very happy if you guys could review what has happened till now. I will do this every two arcs or 200 k words. I know many of you find it hard to critique a story, so you can just give points according to these categories.
Story Critique Form
1. Originality. On a scale of 1 to 10, how original was this story? A 1 means that the story is cliché while a 10 means that it has at least a couple of ideas that I haven't encountered before.
2. Setting. On a scale of 1 to 10, how well was the setting developed? A 1 indicates that the setting was poorly developed. This means that is almost completely disappeared from the story, or that I felt confused as to where and when the tale took place in one or more scenes. Of course, the author should involve all of the senses in describing his or her setting. A 10 means that not only is the setting well-developed, but it informs every aspect of the story—from character development to tone and narrative style. In a story that rates a 10, the setting itself is a powerful draw for the story, and the author succeeded in transporting me into the tale. _
3. Characterization. On a scale of 1 to 10, how well-drawn are the characters in the story? Good characters should convince us that they grew up in the world or setting that we've placed them in. They should have complex motives and be imbued with conflicting attitudes about life, ethics, politics, and so on. The characters should have friends, enemies, acquaintances, secrets, desires and fears. The character should have a physical body, with a physical history. The character should have a family, of course, and some type of history, along with a place in society. In short, with a poorly drawn character, we know virtually nothing about him by the end of the story. With a well-drawn character, we feel as if we know him intimately by the end of the story. _
4. Conflict and Plot. On a scale of 1 to 10, how interesting are the conflicts? Since the characters, along with their motives and abilities really lead to a plot, then one must also consider the twists and turns of the plot. How inventive are they? How exciting? How engrossing? _
5. Emotional/intellectual payoff. On a scale of 1 to 10, how well did this story arouse powerful emotions? If it did arouse powerful emotions, were they the proper emotions for the intended audience (as gauged by the age and sex of the protagonists)? Remember that the author shouldn't be hitting the same emotional beats over and over again.
6. Theme. On a scale of 1 to 10, how well did this story speak to the reader? Does it raise interesting questions about life and provide profound insights? A rating of "1" means that I don't really see either one. A rating of "10" means that the author astounded me. _
