"So... how?"

Jack looked at his son who he knew was trying to be difficult and then to the woman sliding around the doorway to watch, so he addressed her instead "So… if I make a door here in the wall it will lead into the bathroom. The other side of the bathroom is, of course, the Tonny room. So... we put the big bed here in the corner, near the door to the bathroom, which means in the night you can go through the bathroom to the baby without waking anyone else. You can use the other end of this huge living space as the living room, put in a little fridge here, a microwave on top … there is already this sink in here so dishes can be done… I can expand this with some cupboards to make a little kitchenette area. Then you will have an apartment up here. Your own living space so on days you don't feel like sharing you can be up here."

"What about Hawk? He watches TV in here with Ton."

"Well… he still can. He has a TV in his own room for days where you have a little sign on the door saying Do Not Disturb right? When it's not on there he can come in and snuggle on the sofa still … right?"

Angel looked around and then asked "Can we change the colour?"

"Angel, my sweetheart… you can have anything you want" Jack said with a wide sweep of his arms "Paint, wallpaper, carpet… you tell me what you want and I will make it so. You are adults now, you need space and this way if you don't want us annoying you all you have to do is pop out the sign and have your own space. Taddy can bring up meals and leave on a table outside the door and you can have room service right? Like living in a hotel."

Angel looked to Ton who was still in two minds about giving up his childhood room.

"The baby will love your room, we don't have to change a thing and the baby will have everything just right. You already broke it all in." she told him "We are Grups now, we have to be Grups. I don't want to move out into a house, I like it here and I don't want to be all alone when you go off to cake make."

"Of course not" Ton said with horror at the mere thought. He looked around again and nodded as he knew she was right.

This was the best solution.

Jack went downstairs to tell Ianto he was good to go ahead.

The drawing Ianto had sweated over was perfect.
