The sun had already left the sky, yet the streets were still full of people. Without the scorching sun, the summer night temperature was perfect for people to go out. Kamiko gazed out the window of the Ground Hero Agency, watching young couples hand in hand, walking by. When is Katsuki coming back? She thought.
It's not the first time he had to come back late due to mission, but she felt bad for Clearvo and Inazumari who had to stay and wait with her. Also, she was dying to tell him what Miyano told her today.
Finally, she recognized the three silhouettes walking towards their building. It was dark out, but the shape of those shoulder gauntlets on Kirishima made it obvious that it was him. She pushed the door open and dashed out towards them. "Katsuki!" Bakugou stopped when he heard his name. He stretched his arms out instinctively as Kamiko jumped at him.
"Oof!" Bakugou took a few steps back. "What the fuck Shithead?!"
Kaminari and Kirishima exchanged glances, then smirked at each other. "We're gonna go on and head inside. You guys take your time!" Kaminari said, pointing to the door with his thumb.
"Wait! Wait!" Kamiko held a hand out towards them. "You all haven't eaten yet right?"
The men exchanged gazes in confusion, then turned to Kamiko. "No, why?"
Kamiko let go of Bakugou, and clapped her hands together. She grinned cheekily at them, lifting her chin slightly. "Let's eat out today! My treat!"
Kaminari let out a loud cheer, pumping his fist in the air. It's been forever since they went out as a group. Especially after a tiring mission today, he just wanted to go out and celebrate. Bakugou, however, furrowed his brows. "What's going on?" he asked Kamiko.
Kamiko's eyes sparkled with pure elation. "My manga is getting an anime adaptation!"
Bakugou's eyes widened, but his brain still needed a few seconds to fully process her words. "What?"
"Wait, seriously?! That's awesome!" Kirishima exclaimed. "Congrats Iki!"
Kaminari thought for a second, remembering what Kamiko's manga was about. Suddenly a chill ran down his spine, causing him to shudder. "C-Congrats Iki..."
Kamiko grinned, thanking the two. She then looked up at Bakugou, as if asking for him to praise her. Bakugou knew just how hard she worked to get to here. Over the past few months, he also learned a lot about what it takes to be a manga artist, and just how difficult it is to get an anime adaptation. Your manga needs to have a certain amount of fanbase, and the animation companies have to see a great amount of potential in the story in order to invest in it. Getting an anime adaptation is a form of acknowledgement to the manga.
"That's amazing Kamiko." He smiled at her, eyes filled with pride and joy. Kamiko laughed as she wrapped her arms around him, jumping up and down like a grade schooler.
"If we're gonna celebrate let's call Shinsou!" Kirishima suggested.
"Yeah! Let's get wasted!" Kamiko cheered.
And wasted she got.
At dinner, Kaminari joined in on the hype with Kamiko, and the two of them kept drinking. Shinsou did join in a little later, but by the time he got there, Kamiko was already drunk. The silver haired artist kept telling everyone that this meal was her treat, and she barked at anyone who dares to pay for their own meal.
Bakugou knew letting her get that drunk wasn't a good idea, but seeing how happy he was, he didn't have the heart to stop her. Kamiko kept pouring drinks for everyone, but Kaminari was the only one who drank as much as her. Kirishima did get quite drunk in the beginning, but by the end of the meal, he was sober enough to get home on his own. Kamiko and Kaminari were completely out cold.
Inazumari was responsible for taking Kaminari home, and Bakugou carried Kamiko on his back. "Geez, even if you're happy, you shouldn't drink this much, idiot," he grumbled on the way back to her apartment. However, he couldn't control the smile on his face. It's too late. He already can't help feeling happy for her. All those years of hard work, all those restless nights finally paying off.
He wondered when she started drawing manga. When did she start the the story she's working on? Suddenly, Bakugou recalled a notebook, no, a sketchpad. Back then, he thought it was a notebook, but now that he carefully thought about it, he realized that it was actually a sketchpad.
...
After school bell rang, and as always everyone kept to the side as a spiky blonde haired teenager stormed his way down the hall. They were already used to it, but for some reason the teenager seemed more ticked off than usual.
Meanwhile in the middle of the classroom, a silver haired girl was stuffing her bags with the things on her desk, glancing at the clock on the wall every other second. Stationary spilled out of the pencil case she forgot to zip up when she tried to put it in her bag. However, it was too late to pick everything back up, he was coming. "Kamiko, you should hurry, he's here." One of her classmates stood watch for her at the doorway. The girl grabbed her bag, leaving the stationaries on the ground and ran to the window.
Bakugou stormed into the classroom, just as Kamiko was about to jump. "Don't you fucking dare run you bitch!"
"Aaah!" Startled by his sudden exclamation, Kamiko lost footing and fell out before she could activate her territory. However, that didn't really matter. She was only on the second story. Even without using her quirk, she could land perfectly on her feet. The only thing was, as she made a flip in the air, she realized that she forgot to zip her bag. "AAAHHHHH!" she cried as paper and books flew everywhere.
"Hold it right there!" Bakugou jumped out the window after her. He was greeted by a paper in the face. Once he lamded on the ground, Bakugou removed the piece of paper, and saw Kamiko pouting as she picked up the books and paper all over the floor. There's no escape for her now. "Fight me!"
"Okay! Okay! You got me! Geez," Kamiko's brows furrowed with annoyance as she picked collected the fallen paper from the ground. Bakugou looked down at the piece of paper that flew in his face. His brows perked at the young boy looking back at him. On the piece of paper was the face of a good looking young man with short cut hair and a refreshing smile. He then scanned the surrounding, to find that most of these papers fell out of a particular black spiral notebook right by his feet.
The young teenager bent down and picked up the notebook. "DON'T LOOK!" Kamiko screamed before he could open it up. Suddenly, she jumped at him, snatching the book away.
Bakugou backed up, a little taken aback by her sudden aggression. Kamiko patted the dust off the notebook, shoving it in her bag. Phew, that was close, he almost saw my TodoDeku doujins, she thought.
"It's not like I wanted to look at it anyways. Come on shit face, Ground Beta, let's go," Bakugou growled.
Kamiko rolled her eyes at him. "Can't you at least let me pick up all my stuff?" She pointed to the ground.
The blonde teenager looked down, realizing there was still a lot all over the floor, and cleared his throat. "Hurry up."
...
Oh right, I wonder what was in that sketchbook anyways, Bakugou thought. His eyes peered to the side at the woman resting on his shoulder. He cringed at the drool dangling from the corner of her lips, threatening to meet his shirt. Oh well, can't be anything good anyways.
Suddenly, Bakugou felt a bump on his left shoulder, causing him to step back for balance. "Hey, watch where you're going!" he snapped at whoever just bumped into him. He turned his face over, shooting a death glare, to find a woman with medium length copper hair, wearing a black blazer and pencil skirt. She had a lot of sweat around her forehead, and her face was red. Her brows knitted slightly, and she seemed to be in discomfort.
"I'm so sorry," the woman bowed, but the momentum of the bowing motion caused her to stumble forward. Bakugou stepped back, and the woman ended up grabbing his wasit for support, her head hitting his stomach. "I-I'm sorry!"
"Are you okay?" Bakugou's eyes widened when he heard another voice identical to his utter the exact same thing at the exact same time. He his head to the right, to find a set of shock filled red eyes gazing back at him. "HAAAH?!" Bakugou gasped, for he felt like he was standing right in front of a mirror, except the 'Bakugou' in front of him didn't have Kamiko on his back.
"Oh my god! I'm so sorry! I lost control of my quirk!" the woman apologized profusely.
Bakugou glared at the brunette. "What the fuck did you do?!"
The woman waved her hands around in panic. "I-I..."
"Calm down, me, you're scaring her. Poor girl, look at her, she's completely flustered," the other Bakugou said as he took the woman's hand, planting a soft kiss on the back of her fingers.
A look of shock and disgust made its way to Bakugou's face as he gazed at his other self. What the fuck did he just say with my voice? And did he fucking kiss her claws? That man may look and sound exactly like him, but Bakugou was dead certain that it was not him.
"M-My quirk is 'Opposite Twin.' I can duplicate the person I touch, creating a clone that looks exactly the same but has the opposite personality," the woman explained. Her fingers started to play with each other out of nervousness, her eyes darting to the ground. Bakugou knew that he was the reason why she became so uneasy, and part of him did feel a little bit of guilt. He exhaled softly, calming himself down, and giving her time to put her words together. "T-The affect usually lasts between two days to a week... But I don't really have control over it so even I don't know how long it'll last for sure..."
"HAH?!" Bakugou snapped again. She doesn't know?! What is he supposed to do with a freak that looks the exactly the same as him for a week?!
"Eek!" the woman shrieked and backed away. "I'm sorry! I'm sorry!"
"That's enough! You really need to control that temper of yours," the other Bakugou stepped between Bakugou and the woman. His eyes softened at the brunette, and he lifted his hand, brushing the back of his fingers along her forehead. "You have a fever. No wonder your quirk is out of control. Come on, I'll take you home."
Bakugou stepped away from the woman and his other self, his eyes shooting a look of disgust at the grotesquely kind Bakugou before him. Noticing his gaze, the other Bakugou shot him a smile. "You take Kamiko back to our apartment, I'll be back after I take this lady home," he said.
Bakugou's lower left eyelid twitched in annoyance at the word 'our.' To be associated with this guy must be some sort of punishment. "Hey, woman. Make this guy disappear!"
The woman's brows sagged in horror and guilt. "Ehhh? I can't! My quirk can only undo by itself! I habe no control after the clone is made!"
The blonde hero clicked his tongue. "Tch, what a useless quirk."
"Mmnn..." On his shoulder, Kamiko let out a soft groan. Her brows knitted slightly as her fingers twitched.
Both Bakugou's shot their gaze at the unconscious woman, eyes wide and careful, taking in her every movement. For a few seconds, Bakugou even forgot to breathe. It's not like he was afraid of waking her up or anything, so why is he so nervous.
"You need to take her back. She could throw up again," the other Bakugou pointed out.
There was still a lot Bakugou wanted to ask. Does the fake Bakugou have his quirk? How much of them are the same? Are their personalities the only difference? What does the fake Bakugou think of Kamiko? However, he was right about one thing. Now isn't the time. He needs to get back home before Kamiko pukes all over him.
Bakugou was originally planning on staying at Kamiko's apartment today, but now that there are three of them Kamiko's place won't fit...
Wait, that's why he said 'our' apartment! This guy... Bakugou's eyes widened. Even their thoughts are the same. This guy really is his clone...
