Chapter 59

Arizona's P.O.V:

Twenty minutes later, I was finally ready. When I went back over to Noah's room to grab him from Callie, I couldn't help but smile at the sight before me. Noah sat quietly in Callie's lap, sucking on his pacifier and twirling his fingers through his hair as she read to him. Something he always does as he starts to relax before falling asleep. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and snapped a picture. The sound of the camera shutter caught Callie's attention.

"Hey," She says, smiling, "You ready to go?"

"Yeah, I just need to get the diaper bag ready, then I'll be ready to take him over to Teddy's," I say to her, coming into the room.

"It's all ready to go. I took care of it while you were getting dressed," she answers, giving Noah a slight kiss on his forehead before handing him to me.

"Oh, Thank you. I guess I'll be back," I tell her, taking Noah from her, then leaning down to give her a kiss.

"Okay, I should be ready by the time you get back," With Noah on my hip, I grabbed the diaper bag and head next door to drop him off. As we were walking up the sidewalk, I could see Teddy waiting for us at the door with a smile on her face.

"Good Morning, handsome," She greets, reaching her arms out to take Noah from me, "How's my favorite nephew?"

"I really appreciate you watching him for us on short notice," I tell her.

"Of course, I love spending time with him," She says, placing a kiss on the baby's temple, "Do you have time to come for a bit? I need to talk to you,"

"Yeah, I have a little bit of time," I say to her, following her into the house.

"So, have you and Callie worked things out yet?" She asks as we walk into the kitchen.

"Not yet," I say, looking down at the floor, "But I did ask her for a DNA test this morning,"

"What? Why? What did she say?" she asks.

"She said was willing to do it. and I just want her to know so that way she would stop doubting me, that hurt so much,"

"Look, Arizona, I understand that what she did hurt you, but you can't keep doing this to her. Especially after she apologized. It's been two weeks since it happened, don't you think you have punished her enough?" She says, letting out a sigh, "Look, I'm not taking sides or anything, but you do have to realize that, when you first found out about Noah, you kept that from her for seven months and she forgave you for it. She had the right to know about her kid, but you didn't care. You were more worried about yourself than letting the mother of your child know about the situation. You shut her out, but she forgave you for it. I think what you need to do is be the bigger person, and forgive her for this,"

"I know. I will talk to her about it tonight when we get home," I tell her, "So what did you want to talk to me about?"

"Oh right, yeah, so Tim decided to get his G.E.D," she tells me.

"Wow, that's great," I say with excitement, but Teddy puts her hand up to stop me and shakes her head. Judging by the look on her face, it wasn't great news. Whatever she was about to tell me, I knew it couldn't be good.

"He told me that the only reason he's doing it was so he could join the Army," The smile I was wearing instantly falls from my face and is replaced with a frown.

"W-What? He wants to join the Army? W-why?" I ask. The thought of my brother joining the Army scared the hell out of me.

"He told me that, with the baby on the way, he wants to be able to provide for him. He wants to be able to give him everything and he can't do that with being a high school dropout and working a dead-end job."

"We have to stop him, Teddy, I mean, I understand his reasonings, but does he realize the risks? I mean, he could get killed if they send him overseas." I tell her, shaking my head.

"I know that and so does he, But we can't stop him, Zo. He's already made the decision and has already spoken to a recruiter. I mean, they even made a deal with him that if he can get his G.E.D, they will take him right after he's done," she tells me, "When he first mentioned it and talked about it, I mentioned the risks, but he says that he's willing to take them, "

"So, what does this mean? You're you moving? You're you going with him when it comes time?"

"No, I'm not going with him. I'm staying here. I told him that I won't move with a newborn,"

"What did he say?" I ask her.

"He said that it's fine and that he didn't expect me to move with him right away," I was about to say something else, but the clock on the wall caught my attention.

"Shit, look I have to get going. Callie's waiting for me," I tell her. As I about to head towards the door, Teddy grabs my arm to stop me.

"Please talk to Callie and get this whole thing sorted out between you two, and try not to worry about Tim," She tells me.

"I will," I say with a small smile, "Thanks Teddy," She nods her head, then pulls me into a hug.

"I love you, Zo,"

"I love you too," I tell her, then head out.

The entire drive to studio, I stayed silent. I couldn't get the thought of my brother going into the Army out of my head. We come from a Military family, and I understand he wants to better his life and provide for his baby, but I couldn't help feel a little angry with him. Angry that he wants to put himself in that position. There are other ways he could provide for his family.

"Arizona, what's wrong?" Callie asks, turning her head to look at me, pulling me out of my thoughts.

"Nothing, I'm fine," I lie. I didn't really want to talk about it and tried to fake a smile, but I could tell she wasn't buying it. I just turned my head to stare out my window.

"No, you're not, babe. What's wrong?" Knowing she's not going to let it go, I let out a sigh and told her what was going on.

"Tim is studying to get his G.E.D," I start.

"That's great," She says with a smile, "Why would that upset you?"

"That's not why I'm upset, Callie. I'm upset because he wants join the Army once he finishes,"

"I don't understand why you would be upset about that. I mean, he wants to better his life. I get that,"

"Because Callie. One, he has a wife and not to mention, a baby on the way to think about. Not to mention, he would be putting himself at harms way. He could get killed if they ship him off to Iraq and that scares me," She reaches over and grabs ahold of my hand.

"I understand he's your brother, but Tim is tough. I mean, come on, he's tough enough to put up with you," she says jokingly.

"That's not funny, Callie" I snap, "Once he goes, all I'm going to do is worry about him. We already have a lot to worry about right now. We have Noah, the new baby, and me starting school in a couple of weeks. I-I can't be worried about my brother too. I mean seriously, who's going to help Teddy when their baby gets here,"

"We can help her. She's been helping us with Noah, so now it's our turn to help,"

"So, what we going to do, move her in with us while my brother is away?"

"If we have to, then yes. She can move in with us. We do have the space," she tells me.

A moment later, we were pulling into the parking lot of the studio.

"Who's car is that?" Callie asks, as we pull into the space next to the unfamiliar car.

"I'm not sure, probably the new person," I tell her, as we both got out to go into the building.

When we walked in, Doug was nowhere to be seen. Normally he would be in the booth, but he wasn't there.

"Where the hell is he?" Callie asks, "He said to meet you here right?"

"Yeah, he said he would be," I tell her. At that time, Doug comes walking up to us with a smile on his face.

"Mornin' ladies," He greets us.

"Where the hell were you?" Callie asks, giving him her Torres glare.

"I was just getting our new hire settled into the office," He tells us, "What are you doing here today? You didn't have to come in too,"

"Yeah, well being the owner of this place, I have every right to see who will be replacing my wife and I swear to god, if you hired someone that will cause trouble, you will be fired," Callie says, half joking.

"Trust me Callie, she won't cause you any trouble. Come on then, I'll introduce you to her," He says, smiling at us. He turns and walks towards the office, with Callie and me on his heels.

"It better not be fucking Lauren," Callie growls.

"I highly doubt it will be Lauren," I say to her. He opens the door, then steps aside so we could see, "Ladies, I'd like you to meet..."

"ADDISON..!" Callie shouts, "Oh my fucking god, what are you doing here? I thought you were in Indiana?" Callie rushes in and wraps her arms around her best friend.

"Well hello to you too, Cal," Addison says with a laugh.

"What are you doing here?" Callie asks her best friend again.

"Well, I have you know, music has always been my passion just like yours. But I'm here because I figured that since Arizona will be starting classes soon, that I'd come help you out,"

"You are freaking awesome, but aren't you in school?" Callie states, pulling the redhead into another hug.

"I was, but I found out that my credits were tranferrable, so I decided to transfer schools. That way I was closer to you guys. I will be attending classes with Arizona," she tells us, "So, anything new going on?"

"Nope!" Callie and I say together. Addison looks between the two of us.

Uh-huh," She says with a crooked grin, " Anyway, how's Noah?"

"He's good," I tell her, giving her a smile, "He's getting big. He's trying to crawl," I pulled my phone out o my pocket and pulled up the video that I had Callie take for me, then turned it so she could see, "He hasn't mastered it yet, but he's getting there,"

"Awe! Look at that hair," Addie says, "God, Callie, I can't tell if he looks more like you or Arizona,"

"You can definitely see more of Callie in him," I pointed out, looking at Callie. She could tell what I was getting at, but didn't say anything.

"Yeah, he does," Callie says, forcing a smile, "I better let you guys get going on what you need to do. I'm going to go help Doug out in the booth while you two do this," Callie says to us, "Love you,"

"Love you too," I say to my wife. I give her a quick peck, then turn my attention back to Addison.

After Callie left the room, I noticed Addison was staring at me, with a confused look on her face, "What?"

"What was that?" She asked, crossing her arms.

"What was what?"

"Don't play dumb with me, Arizona. Is something going on between you two?"

"What makes you think something is going on?" I ask, trying to avoid eye contact. She just studies me for a minute, then gives me another look, "Seriously, everything is fine,"

"Look, I have been best friends with Callie long enough to know when something is going on, and what I just witnessed, that wasn't a normal interaction between you two."

"Okay, fine. A couple weeks ago, Callie and I had a Drs. appointment," I start, "As we were checking out, there was a girl whom I had gone to school with. She said some things in front of Callie...,"

"Wait! Hold on, what did this bitch say?" Addison asks, cutting me off.

"She told Callie that I slept around in high school," I tell her.

"And Callie actually believed her?"

"Yeah, she actually believed everything that Lauren had said to her, but that's not the only thing that pissed me off. What pissed me off most was that Callie then started questioning Noah. She asked me if Noah was actually hers." after I finished explaining what happened, Addison was out of her seat and out the door before I could stop her.

*Here's the update for you all. Sorry, it was so late. I had a lot of things going on. But a lot of surprises in this chapter. Tim wants to join the Army, Callie and Arizona find out that it's Addison who would be working with them. and Addison isn't happy with her best friend after finding out from Arizona about what was going on between them.*
