A what now? Bonnie questioned in her mind after her boyfriend spilled a huge can of beans on her. It made no sense, no sense at all that she's a witch, how is anything like that even possible? She watched him smile a little more, then stood from his place against the wall. Her eyes widened some seeing the Stefan-sized dent her left bedroom wall now has but is forced to look at him as he grabbed her chin aligning their heads she eyes.
"Do you feel it?"
"Feel what?"
"Your powers,"
Bonnie thought. "Maybe when I pushed but I don't know I was angry and I felt— I felt like a tingle or- I felt my powers,"
Stefan smiled seeing her wrap her head around all this. "You felt your powers,"
"I felt my powers," she smiled and threw her arms around him, closing her eyes as he squeezed her back. "Wait, you jerk," she pushed him back, "you could've killed me."
"I'm offended that you would ever think I'd do that to you. I wanted to prove a theory I had, for a while now actually. Your blood is more than just blood."
"Did you kill Kassidy?"
"I mind as well have,"
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"I didn't save her, I didn't help her or tell Damon to stop so. I killed her."
"So was that experiment testing to see if I thought you'd kill me or testing to see if the witch side of me would come out?"
"It goes hand in hand. You can't get that angry or upset if you don't think that low of me."
She frowned almost regretting bringing up the topic. "Babe, I was just- if my dad were to wrap his hands around my neck and squeeze I would be terrified no matter what he fucking is to me. I don't think low of you. I wouldn't love you if I did." She held his face. "You need to talk to me about it,"
"I don't feel like it right now. I just want to sleep." He stood hearing her sigh and lifted the shirt from his skin then removed his pants.
Bonnie sat there watching him then turned off her light as he got under her covers. She rested her head on his chest. "How am I a witch, Stefan?"
"We'll talk more about it tomorrow. Just know that you're not the only one."
"You mean like—"
"Babe, I'm really tired. I love you but I'm tired okay,"
"Okay, sorry,"
He sighed and kissed the top of her head, holding her then closed his eyes.
...
Bonnie ignored his staring as she ate her cereal while reading on her tablet. She tried not to be upset with him knowing that he went through a lot yesterday but she couldn't help how she felt. It was as if he was doing everything in his power to get her angry and when she wanted to talk he would simply dismiss her making her feel like she didn't matter to him. It was the first time that's ever happened to her and she didn't like it at all. She's waiting for an apology of some sort but has a feeling that it won't come but knowing Stefan he'll apologize without actually apologizing and she's not sure if she can accept that. Not this time.
Stefan exhaled silently through his nose watching her. He knows she's upset because she barely spoke to him when they woke up and the fact that she's ignoring him right now proves his point further. He doesn't know what got into him last night, why he was acting so cold towards her but he plans to make it up to her. Take her out to a fancy dinner, a shopping spree if she's up for it, and if not, he'll do the shopping for her and surprise her. Last night was rough for him and he hopes that she at least somewhat understands and knowing Bonnie he's sure she does but still feels ill towards the situation and he can't say that he blames her.
"Hey," he leaned in about an inch just to gain her attention. Bonnie looks up at him. "Last night, I- I was tired, but I want to make it up to you, okay? Take you out tonight," he offered a smile.
"Sure," she turned her attention back to the screen.
"Baby, I- just—"
"Why can't you just simply apologize to me for acting like such a dick last night? Since the moment you walked into my room you had an attitude and I pushed it away and tried to comfort you but you push me away. Then you fuckin' tell me I'm a witch and like anyone I wanted a simple explanation but you basically tell me to shut up. And I took it then because I knew what you were going through but looking back at it, that doesn't excuse it. You could've been nicer about it at least but you cut me off like I'm sone one-night stand."
He frowned closing his eyes then opened. "I shouldn't have- I should've done things differently, I know that now, I wish I could go back and do everything over but I can't. I never meant to hurt you or upset you, I love you, babe."
"You're seriously not going to apologize?"
"I'm sorry,"
She stood, "Just forget it." She headed upstairs.
"Babe," he went after her, "wait," he grabbed her arm but she yanked it away from his hold.
"Just leave me alone."
"Baby, I'm sorry, okay. I'm sorry," he held her face. "I was a dick to you and I regret it fully. I'll tell you anything you want to know about being a witch, I shouldn't have shut you out. You mean the world to me." He watched her eyes then frowned some not seeing her eyes soften. "Baby, I- forgive me, please, I need you, I love you," he switched to hugging her and squeezed her a little tighter before he felt her arms around him. He exhaled hugging her more then moved his head back to meet their lips. "I love you."
"I love you too," she talked against his lips then kissed him.
He buried his head in the crook of her neck and she jumped in his arms before he took them to her bedroom. They laid on to of her sheets and his arm went around her as she lifted her leg to his hip. "Your lineage is very powerful. When I first saw you, you looked like your grandmother when she was younger but I didn't put two and two together. I just knew you were beautiful."
Bonnie smiled. "You knew my grams?"
"I did. We weren't technically friends, witches back then hated us vampires but I would see her around at rallies and things like that. I think she had a soft spot for me."
"Oh god,"
He chuckled. "She's not the first I knew though, plenty of strong and beautiful women and I'm taking since you didn't know, Sheila wanted that tradition to fade."
"Why?"
"Bonnie, it's not easy. Being supernatural isn't exactly applauded upon. We have enemies, people wanting to expose or harm us out of jealousy or out of actual fear. I just wanted you to know because I feel like you have the right to and if you so choose to practice or not I'll support you either way."
"What if I don't know what I want?"
"That's fine. Take some time to think, talk to your ancestors, see what they think,"
"How do I do that?"
Stefan smiled. "Get dressed, I need to show you something,"
Bonnie was a little creeped out walking through an old cemetery but with Stefan beside her, she felt a little more protected. She wondered what it was he wanted to show her since he hasn't spoken a word of it since this morning but she follows his lead and comes to a short halt seeing an old, white building that looks as if it's been through a tragic fire.
"Witches were forced in this church and set afire. Hundreds burned alive. Inside are your people. They will talk to you and give you advice and lead you on a path they think is right for you. You can choose to do as they say or not but just listen."
Bonnie nodded then started walking towards the entrance but paused seeing she was alone. She looked back seeing him standing where he was. "You're not coming?"
"I'm not welcomed. Remember what I said about vampires and witches. You'll be fine, I'll be right out here,"
She watched him a little longer before nodding and walked inside. Bonnie felt a presence- multiple come over her the second she stepped in. Whispers started to fill her ears, welcoming her, questioning her relationship to the Ripper. It was a little overwhelming so she decided to take matters into her own hands and started asking questions of her own. About her journey and destiny, her future, the paths of which she should take. Most still took a jab at her relationship with Stefan telling her that she should leave him at once but before it got rooted into her, she decided to leave. As she stepped out she was shocked by how dark it's gotten but smiled seeing Stefan still there.
"I take it went well,"
She chuckled and hugged him, exhaling when he hugged her back. "Very well. Thank you,"
"You're welcome. Come on, let's get some dinner,"
She nodded and took his hand and together they walked back to his car. "Once I get some food in me, you can drink from me. I didn't realize how starving I was until you said the word 'dinner',"
He chuckled pulling off. She asked for a drive-thru to get her food as soon as possible so he stopped at Wendy's and she ordered her usual chicken sandwich with large fries and Sprite. By the time he pulled up to her place, she was finished and completely full, more than she has been in a while. They showered together and he drank from her as the water ran down his back.
He held her close to his body as she slept, listening to her steady heart beating loudly in his ears.
...
"Stefan?" She straddles his lap.
"One second, this is getting interesting," he flopped the page to the book he was reading and kept on.
"Baaabe," she sang lightly.
"Hold on,"
She sighed slumping her shoulders then looked to the left smiling at their reflection in his mirror. She snapped a quick photo just in time for him to put the book down. "What is it, babe?"
"I…"
"Forgot?"
"I forgot. Great,"
He smiled. "Come here,"
She leaned in meeting their lips. "Oh I remember," she talked against his lips causing him to bite his bottom one.
"What is it?"
"Did you fuck a bitch named Whitney?"
He narrowed his eyes then moved his head back. "I uh- why do you ask?"
"She tagged you in a photo on Instagram, one where she's wearing a bikini and a fake ass captain hat talking about hashtag TBT hashtag take me back."
He opened his mouth to make up an excuse but stopped himself. "We used to date, we were both freshmen and it wasn't that big of a deal."
"You saying it wasn't that big of a deal implied that it was a big deal."
"No, baby, I'm just trying to cool you down. She shouldn't have tagged me, I'm sure most of the school knows that we're together, she's just trying to get under your skin so don't let her. I love you."
"You're too good with words, I don't like it."
He chuckled. "Send me that photo you just took."
She did so then watched him move his fingers around the screen before she got an alert and checked her phone seeing that she was tagged in a photo by her boyfriend. 'I've never been happier' the caption read and she smiled then looked into his eyes pouring. "I love you."
"I love you more."
They turned their heads to the right hearing knocks on his door. Stefan gave the OK then it opened and they shortly saw Damon."I'm about to head out, see you in a week,"
"Where are you going?"
"Chicago. A couple of friends and I are going to see new faces abs taste new blood."
Bonnie smiled. "Have fun."
He nodded then left closing the door behind him. Bonnie turned to her man. "So we have this whole house to ourselves?" She whispered in his ear.
He ran his hands up the back of her thighs, grabbing her ass. "How do you suggest we pass the time?"
She smiled and met their lips, moshing, feelings his hands slip under her shirt.
"I don't wanna go back to school," she whined.
Stefan smiled. "You only have a few more months, babe. And you got that job lined up for you the second you walk across the stage."
"I know, I'm just spoiled being with you like this every day. I don't want it to end."
He kissed her deeply. "I love you."
"I love you mores,"
He smiled then kissed her again. "Let me spoil you a little more before your vacation is over."
"How?"
"I'm buying you a house- us a house. Let's look around a little before bed and in the morning we can check the places out."
"Okay,"
"Yeah?"
She nodded meeting their foreheads, wrapping her arms around his neck. He moved his hands to her back, closing his eyes. He felt goosebumps sprout along his skin and a gust of wind passed through them. He knew it was her magic. She was probably unaware of what she's doing and he's choosing not to stop her, to let her heart take over. He smiled feeling them being lifted from his bed, glad that he didn't have a fan right above it or else they'd be in store for a rude awakening.
"Stefan?"
He opened his eyes to see hers closed. "Yes?"
"Are we… floating?"
He smiled. "Yes."
"Why?"
"Because of you. You're feeling weightless,"
She smiled then chose to open her eyes meeting his then looked down cautiously glad to see that they weren't that high up. She returned her eyes back to him. "I think that even if I chose not to practice my magic, my powers would still take over. Especially when I'm with you."
Stefan met their lips twice then caressed her cheek with his thumb. "You make me feel weightless too."
She smiled then closed her eyes concentrating on getting them to actually obey the laws of gravity. If things like this happen in public places, she'd be exposed and that's not something that she wants to happen so she has to learn how to control it and she can only control it by learning more about it. Her ancestors were right, she needed to keep her lineage alive even if it was in secret.
