This isn't a Chibi episode. It is a connecting chapter between volumes 5 and 6.

The town of Mistral was in celebration. After news of the victory in Haven's defense, the people in the city were overjoyed that they had not suffered the same fate as Beacon, and promptly threw a massive celebration in the city. The teams involved in the defense took this opportunity to catch up a bit with each other and rest.

Nora wasted no time in introducing her father to Jaune and Ren.

"Guys!" she announced, "Meet my dad!"

Anton gave a small salute: "I am Anton. It's a pleasure to meet you all."

Jaune and Ren nodded back.

"A pleasure to meet you as well." Ren replied, "Though I may have seen you back when I was a child. You knew my father, Li."

Anton nodded: "Ah, yes, I remember Li. He was a good man. I tried to save him when that Nuckleavee attacked, but I was too swarmed; I couldn't get to him in time. I'm sorry."

Ren nodded: "You tried your best, and that's all that matters."

Nora placed her hands on her hips: "Besides, we killed the thing anyway."

"Did you now?" Anton asked, a twinge of pride in his voice.

"It's true" Jaune said, "Ruby and I helped, but Ren and Nora dealt the killing blows."

"Well, I'm proud of them." Anton replied, "but tell me, who is this Ruby?"

"She's over there; the one in the red" Nora replied, pointing to Ruby who was a short distance away with her team as well as Julius.

"I see" Anton said.

"Hey, you" Qrow said, walking over alongside Raven, "You got a second?"

Anton nodded, then turned to Nora and said, "I'll be right back." Before walking over to the Branwens.

"Yes?" Anton asked.

"What are you doing here?" Raven asked, "I thought the Night Sentinels were still in Sentinel Prime."

"Not all of us. The barrier Salem put up around our kingdom was only meant to keep the Knight in. Us lesser soldiers can still pas through without a problem. He has taken this opportunity to send a few of us out to keep watch here in Remnant."

"Then why haven't you all come out and attacked in full force?" Qrow demanded, "Salem's becoming stronger by the day and we're beginning to run out of options."

Anton replied: "We stay because it is the Knight's will. He may be driven by vengeance, but he's not completely blind; he knows how Salem works. The only way to stop her is to play at her own game. Besides, even if we did all march out, none of us would be able to defeat Salem; the prophecy says that only he will."

Raven scoffed: "I hate to say this, but he has a point."

Qrow thought for a moment, the turned back to Anton and asked, "So, what should we do in the meantime?"

"All I can recommend is that you unite the people as best as you can" Anton replied, "You've done well at that so far, but it's not enough. If we are to stand up to Salem, we all need to stand together."

"I'm sure I can get in touch with other bandit tribes" Raven said, "I'm sure they'll listen, given enough persuasion."

"Oz said we need to get the lamp to Atlas." Qrow added, "I'm taking a group of younger huntsmen to do that, but I'll see what I can do."

Anton nodded: "Do what you can. I'm sure you won't need to hold out long; Kaa has declared that Salem's time grows short. Now, if you'll excuse me, I would like to spend some time with my daughter; we haven't seen each other in years and she's very excited."

Qrow nodded, and Anton walked away, returning to Nora and the others.

Meanwhile, Hector and Ilia were at a darts game stand as they steadily rebuilt their relationship as siblings.

Ilia threw a dart, hitting the target close to the bullseye. Hector whistled in admiration.

"Your aim's improved." He said, picking up a dart and throwing it, hitting a bit closer than Ilia, but still not hitting the center.

"And yours hasn't changed much" Ilia replied, "I guess you spent a bit too much time hiding."

Hector shrugged: "Eh, it was more than I probably should have, but I can still hit things."

"Mind if I try?" asked a voice, and the twins looked to see Velvet walk up. Hector handed her a dart.

"Suit yourself" he replied. Velvet took the dart, aimed for the board, and threw…hitting the target in the bullseye. Ilia and Hector widened their eyes in surprise.

"Since when did you get good at darts, Velvet?" Hector demanded.

Velvet shrugged: "Oh, well, I've had a little practice at Vacuo. Speaking of, Coco wanted me to give you this."

Here, the rabbit faunus takes out a small envelope and hands it to Hector.

"She won't openly admit it, but misses you a lot" Velvet continued. Ilia looked at Hector and smirked.

"So, who's Coco?" she teasingly asked. Hector's turned red in embarrassment.

"She's…just a friend." Hector explained.

"Coco's my team leader" Velvet said, "She's also Hector's girlfriend."

Ilia smirked at a very embarrassed Hector: "Really?"

"Okay, fine." Hector finally admitted, "She is."

Ilia chuckled. Then, Hector attempted to change the subject.

"So, how's it feel, knowing the faunus are being treated well now that everyone's seen them save Haven?" He asked.

"Admittedly" Ilia replied, "It feels really good. I never thought we would actually make a difference by helping those who tried to hurt us."

Hector shrugged: "What can I say? Kindness always cuts deeper than a sword."

Ilia nodded and the twins and Velvet continued to hang out.

At another end of the party, Julius was with Team RWBY, as well as Roman and Neo, who were both trying to explain how they were against Cinder the whole time.

"Sooo, let me get this straight" Yang finally said, "You and Julius know each other because you used to work with my mom. Julius then told you of Cinder and you agreed to acting as a spy, telling him everything you could about what Cinder was doing."

"That pretty much sums it up" Roman replied, "Cinder didn't suspect a thing. I knew something was up with her when she first came to me, and I hated being kept in the dark on her plans. I trusted your brother a lot more than I trusted Cinder."

"If you were with us, then why'd you attack us?" Weiss asked.

Roman shrugged: "I had to make it look believable, otherwise, Cinder would suspect something was up."

Blake nodded in understanding: "He makes a good point, Weiss."

"Well, whatever the case" Ruby said, "I'm just glad we have some new friends to help us."

Roman tipped his hat and replied, "And I to you, Little Red."

"Please don't call me that." Ruby said.

"No promises."

The gang then shared a small laugh.

"So, will you be coming with us to Atlas?" Blake asked.

Roman nodded: "I certainly will. Neo, however, says, there's still something she needs to take care of here. She'll join us when she's ready."

"Good" Yang said, looking at Neo, "Because you still owe me a rematch."

Neo simply winked back and pointed a finger gun at Yang.

Weiss looked over at Julius and said, "I can't believe you had this all organized. And behind our backs too."

Julius shrugged: "What can I say? I'm just full of surprises."

"You're not staying here too, are you?" Yang asked.

Julius shook his head and replied, "Nah. Neo wants to handle it on her own. Besides, I just got back; don't think I'd be leaving you guys so quickly."

Blake lovingly wrapped her arm around Julius and kissed him on the cheek: "Good, because don't think you and I are done yet."

Julius smiled back at her: "Relax, I would never even dream of it."

Blake smiled back as the two shared a small kiss. Ruby leaned back and made a disgusted sound with her mouth.

"Really, guys?" she demanded, "here?"

Yang, Weiss, and Roman all laughed at Ruby's reaction. Some distance away from the group, Anton and Novus watched as Nora locked herself in an arm wrestling match with one of the stronger Huntsmen from Haven. Anton took the opportunity and got a small glance at Julius, the leaned over to Novus.

"Are you sure it's him?" he asked. Novus gave a small nod. Anton looked back over for a split second before returning his attention to his daughter. Hayden had filled him in on Julius's team earlier and seeing them filled Anton with both excitement and dread. If what he assumed about them was true…then a battle was coming that none of these Huntsmen would ever be able to prepare for.

"Anton." Ren said, snapping the Night Sentinel out of his thought, "Is everything ok?"

Anton briefly nodded: "Yes, sorry. I got lost in my thought for a moment."

Ren sensed that that wasn't the full truth, but he decided not to ask any further. Anton however, still had the thought of what was to come in his mind; the day when Sentinel Prime, and The Slayer within it, would be unleashed once again on Remnant.
