Banter and Zuso!
Kasai's eyes gaped wide, at her words for a clear second she was frozen in her seats before her eyes grew back to normal size, her lips paused at that before long a small smile went onto her lips "of course I want to be friends with you" she said in an almost soft voice, Kurobara chuckled out in amusement.
"We shell exchange phone numbers when the case is over, now onto the investigation itself…" she started, briefly giving the young woman before a small glance. They knew it wasn't Kasai like Mai she had intuition and she could feel it out, they were almost fully sure that Kasai couldn't be the culprit.
"There is not much to go on, but yesterday I did some investigating with Kazuya and Monk. I took a glimpse around the school much to my chagrin, there were some interesting things I bore witness to," she continued, with a puff of breath leaving her tight-lipped mouth.
"When you mean glimpse around the school... " Kasai paused in some confusion, giving a look at her new friend with a much-confused expression. They merely chuckled in a slight mirthless manner "I am sure you are aware by now that I am what you would call an Aura Manipulator, I know Mai quite well enough to know she told you I was one."
Kasai looked embarrassed at that, giving her the answer she needed by her mere body language "Aura can be used in many distinctive ways, it is a very impressive fact about Aura manipulation, regardless of the fact that it's rare to have the ability to manipulate Aura. This also means that there has not been much room for experimenting. "
"By using Aura, you would have to be able to see," she said in a bit of a cynical voice, pointing one finger at her own eyes with a small smirk. " I am able to see Aura's of living beings, but I am going to look more at the paranormal side of things, Spirits, demons, psychics, espers even stronger psychics or espers have a special aura as do emotions do," she explained with a heavy sigh.
"What I had seen with my eyes were" she paused holding her hand up with three fingers "Three Aura's which is a tad bit confusing I admit but one of the Aura's is an emotion if I were to simplify what I had seen then well I will give you that to think about." deciding to cut short the explanation perhaps Kuro thought about how much she could say, that and she was starting to feel very uncomfortable.
Kasai, however, did not notice, her eyes had a gleam in them, excited at what she had just heard from her friend "That is interesting, to say the least Kuro-san. It's impressive i mean" she remarked with an excited tone laced into her voice.
"I've never met anyone like you before, having the ability to use and manipulate Aura...You just don't hear about it often," she added, cheeks having a faint blush while eyes motioning at Kurobara who's eyes were watching her every move with an almost intense interest in her orbs.
She let out an amused huff at that "It is not that Impressive but I appreciate the compliment," she all but said but Kasai shook her head gently "Ah no it is really impressive, ah… that's right… um, Kei-sensei asked me to tell you that if she can help in any way to please let her know. She was very impressed when I mentioned to her that you're an Aura Manipulator and that Shibuya-san is an onmyouji. I'd liked to help too, so just let me know."
Kurobara's pigmented eyes widened considerably at that, where did she get Onmyouji and Shibuya from before she could answer the door slid open revealing the bane of her existence, her favourite egocentric narcissist. Lin-san was there too, who greeted her with a smile.
"Well, I should head back to class now," Kasai-san announces out loud, excusing herself. She felt so much better after talking to Kurobara whom she had just become friends with which made her feel ecstatic.
The confusion was still laced into her eyes as she spoke "Okay, perhaps I'll see you later" was all she said, watching as Kasai bowed to Naru and Lin on her way out.
Kurobara realised that Mai was still asleep on the table, Kazuya would not be happy so she had to wake her up before he noticed they were asleep. 'MAI GET UP YOUR LOVELY DUMBASS UP' she shouted telepathically, jump starling the brunette with a squeak.
Mai's brown eyes were snapped open, now turning to her best friend who had an amused smirk on her lips, unquestionably finding the squeak comical. She was about to complain but the ravenette tilted her head and shook over to where Kazuya was standing.
She paled slightly, cheeks heating up; that she was almost caught falling asleep on the job. 'Finally, it took you long enough to realise Idiot.' Mai's cheeks puffed up at that, giving her a glare.
"Are you two quite finished" A cold voice brought them out of their little bubble, his arms were crossed, lapping over each other, indigo frosty eyes holding irritation and amusement watching the two quietly communicate.
Kurobara rolled her eyes at him, mouth turning into a frown, her orbs trailed along his paler face noticing his eyes were redder; suggesting that he didn't get any sleep. "If I might ask Aien but why are your eyes red? Did you not get any sleep." she wondered out loud.
Kazuya paused at her words and hummed for a moment. "No. That ghost and I were glaring at each other all night." He told them with his usual calm distant voice, his hands grabbing hold of his scarf and coat.
The ravenette face became blank as she blinked at his words, a minute later her body tensed. Mai and Lin stopped what they were doing, now staring at him; absorbing his words. The ghost they saw yesterday? Kurobara thought, opening her mouth as she began to speak.
"If I am getting this right…" she inhaled "but are you talking about the same ghost from yesterday?" Her eyes were narrowed cat-like as she stared at him, hoping that was not the case. "If so then it probably stalked you home…"
"Yes," Kazuya replied, letting out a soft tired sigh. "You assumed right. It showed up in my room last night. I figured it wouldn't be safe to take my eyes off of it, so I stared at it all night."
Kurobara stood up from her chair in a sudden motion, a shadow was cast across her forehead, Mai flinched at her as she headed to Kazuya with a furious expression on her face. Lin much like her confronted the narcissist.
"Why on earth didn't you call me?" Lin questioned him.
"Exactly! What the fuck Kazuya! Do you have any idea how fucking dangerous that is, what if something grave had happened to you!?" Kurobra hissed out angrily, showing pure worry, anxiety and concern on their face.
What was he thinking, Kurobara thought
"It is evident that it didn't happen," Kazuya replied icily. "Besides, I was curious to see what would have happened. And I didn't see why I needed to wake you up in the middle of the night." He told Lin.
The ravenette's face flushed in anger, mouth and eyebrow twitching almost rhythmically "You…" she inhaled sharply, causing Naru to turn to her. The room became a couple of degrees colder "You wanted to observe it? You Fucking IDIOT! You stupid moronic narcissistic twat" she yelled out, causing Kazuya and Lin to flinch at her loud voice.
Mai bit her lip in amusement at her best friend scolding the almighty boss. The boss in speaking was about to speak back but her friend was not having it making her snicker. "Don't even try it, I will take your tea privileges, you will listen to what I have to say!"
Kurobara ignored her friend who was giggling in the background. Kazuya right now glared at her, mouth paused that kind of resembled a pout. In a sense, he looked like a tsundere kicked puppy. "I thought you were intelligent clearly you have no fucking common sense when you are in danger you call for help. Moron." she huffed.
Mai shook her head at Kurobara's words, knowing completely what she was like. It showed that she really cared about the narcissist, getting angry because he could have been injured or worse.
"She's right," Lin told him, almost as angrily, instead of hot anger it was cold anger. "All you had to do was knock on the wall. What would you have done if something had happened?" his arms were crossed.
"If something really had occurred, I would have called you. But nothing happened." Kazuya simply replied, starting to get annoyed at everyone's worry and overreaction, he would have been fine without any help.
Kurobara bit her lip furiously, still very much angry with the man. Mai however was getting nervous, feeling the tense cold atmosphere envelope the room, she laughed nervously at them. That was when a sudden realisation came to her head, eyes widening a little as she spoke. "Eh… you said 'knock on the wall' does that mean that you two live together.
The ravenette's face went blank for a moment, blinking at the sudden question that poured out of her best friend's mouth. Kazuya raised an eyebrow at them "I guess you could say that" he answered. "Something Wrong?"
Kurobara snickered when seeing Mai's face, watching her friend sweat nervously "No. Nothing" Mai said anxiously.
"Mai is most certainly thinking that you two are in a lovely romantic relationship, so I just ask for her." Kurobara announced, having a massive sly smirk, Mai's eyes widen, cheeks exploding in a red hot blush as she exclaimed "EHhh don't Kuro!"
"Are you two gay?"
Lin's cheeks warmed up in embarrassment, Kazuya appeared to be done with this and sighed out a heavy exhale " No, I am not Gay nor am I in a relationship with Lin" Kurobara found this hilarious and snickered.
"Are you two sure, you would be a good couple." Lin's eyebrow and mouth twitch in annoyance, Mai placed her hand on her mouth, still with a blush on her cheeks and giggled. She tried her best to muffle her laughter but little peeps of giggles crawled out of her.
"I mean I would be sure to ship it" The ravenette cheekily told them, Lin now completely flush practically screamed out "I AM NOT GAY!" which caused Mai and Kurobara to laugh loudly. They wheezed.
It took a minute or two before they calm down. "Well, nothing wrong with being gay," she shrugged. "If someone thought I was gay I would take it as a compliment." Mai chuckled softly and softly beamed at her friend's words, agreeing wholeheartedly.
Lin sighed at this, mouth twitching in an almost smile while Kazuya glared at them for wasting precious time talking about sexuality and among other things. Does it really matter, they were not here for a chat?
"What was Kasai-san doing here," Kazuya asked cutting the environment in two, trying to steer the conversation on more important issues.
Kurobara rolled her eyes before responding "She offered to help if we needed her… and Ubsuna-sensei too." She simply told him "She knew quite a bit about Psychics, which was interesting."
"I see…" Kazuya said.
Kazuya and Kurobara glanced at each other for a moment, a thoughtful look. The ravenette woman was wondering where she had heard Ubsuna's name, it sounded almost familiar to her. Mai glanced nervously at the two.
"Hey, you don't really think that Kasai-san is putting curses on people do you?" She asked hesitantly, her best friend merely shook her head. "I highly doubt it, even if she has PK abilities she wouldn't be able to inflict this much on people at once. "
"Besides, all the victims have been seeing evil spirits." The Narcissistic boss agreed. Kuro's mouth pulled into a frown, what could it be that was influencing all these people, there was something missing.
"How about wara ningyō?" Mai questioned, head tilting cutely making her friend want to ruffle her brown locks at her cute display but right now; they had to focus.
"I doubt that too," Kazuya said sharply. "Wara ningyo are the ones that you hammer a nail into."
" Wara ningyō, if I remember this correctly is when you nail into a certain part and the one targeted feels the part there… They don't summon spirits at all, from my understanding anyway." Kurobara places her hand on her chin, " What about the dollhouse case?" eyes motioning on her bosses face.
Kazuya cocked his eyebrow questioning her words, she exhaled a breath "You used that Hitogata to summon Tomiko-chan's spirit" once she finished her explanation, she watched the way his indigo blue eyes expand in surprise.
Lin looked at him, having the same wide-eyed look as though they had a eureka moment. Ma gave Kurobrara a look asking why they seemed so shocked with her words, she merely shrugged.
"Lin…" Kazuya said.
"There's a possibility…" Lin agreed.
"You know Mai and I would love to know what the two of you speaking about, what's a possibility?" Kurobara's forehead creased, eyebrows pinched together.
"Why didn't I realise this sooner?" Kazuya remarked annoyed at himself, wondering how on earth it took him so long. "This is a zuso!"

Hello everyone it is The little sunflower and yes I know it has been such a long time since I updated this story. I have gone through a lot these couple of months, had a mental breakdown plus my lack of motivation among other things that I won't get into.
Sorry if this chapter is so… rusty, i have started this in January I believe or was it sooner than that, then I picked back up in March and finally finished it. I will take a while to do the next chapter so I am sorry don't worry I am still continuing this story it will just take me a long while to update it.
