WrestleMania 16: 2/4/2000

WWF WrestleMania 16 was live at the Arrowhead Pond of Anaheim in Anaheim, California. Before the opening video, Lilian Garcia sang "The Star-Spangled Banner".[23] The first match that aired was a tag team match between the team of The Godfather and D'Lo Brown (who were accompanied to the ring by rapper Ice-T, who also sang their entrance music) against the team of The Big Boss Man and Bull Buchanan. The Godfather and Brown gained the early advantage over Buchanan and Bossman, as they were able to execute a leg drop and a splash combination. Buchanan and Bossman, yet, retaliated after Bossman delivered a Sidewalk slam and Buchanan delivered a Leg drop from the top turnbuckle into a pinfall and winning the match.

The second match was a hardcore battle royal for the WWF Hardcore Championship featuring champion Crash Holly defending against The Mean Street Posse, The APA, Kaientai, The Headbangers, Tazz, Viscera, and Hardcore Holly [6][24] The rules of the match were as follows: the match would go on for fifteen minutes, the championship could exchange hands an unlimited number of times during the time limit, and the final wrestler with the Hardcore Championship would win the match and remain the Hardcore Champion. The first championship exchange occurred after Tazz pinned Crash, which proceeded with Viscera pinning Tazz.

The third championship exchange occurred after Funaki pinned Viscera, however, Funaki was then pinned by Rodney. The fifth championship exchange occurred after Joey Abs pinned Rodney, which proceeded with Abs being pinned by Thrasher. The seventh title exchange occurred after Pete Gas pinned Thrasher, though, Gas was then pinned by Tazz. The ninth title exchange occurred after Crash pinned Tazz, which proceeded with the final championship exchange, as Hardcore Holly pinned Crash, thus, Hardcore Holly won the Hardcore Championship.

The next match was a tag team match between the team of Al Snow and Steve Blackman against the team of T & A (Test and Albert). Back and forth action between the two teams towards the end of the match, where Albert delivered a Baldo Bomb on Snow, while Test delivered an Elbow drop from the top rope onto Blackman into a pinfall for the win.

The fourth match was a WWF Tag Team Championship triangle ladder match involving The Hardy Boyz, Edge and Christian, and champions The Dudley Boyz. Edge and Christian first gained the advantage after Edge climbed the top rope and speared Jeff, who was climbing a ladder. Edge and Christian were then given consecutive 3-D's by The Dudley Boyz. The Dudley Boyz then brought tables into the ring and onto ringside, where D-Von splashed Jeff through a table in the ring, while Bubba powerbombed Matt through another at ringside.

The Hardy Boyz would then retaliate after Jeff delivered a Swanton bomb off a ladder onto Bubba, through a table. As Jeff did so, Matt climbed a ladder, along with Edge and Christian, who pushed Matt off the ladder through a table. The situation allowed Edge and Christian to reach and grab the championship belts that were hung from the rafters, thus gaining their first Tag Team Championship.

The fifth match was a Catfight between The Kat and Terri with special guest referee, Val Venis; the winner of the match was determined by the diva who threw their opponent out onto Kat threw Terri out onto ringside; Venis was however distracted by Mae Young, who was at ringside managing The Kat, and was unable to see the action. Terri was again thrown onto ringside by The Kat, though, the action was not seen by Venis as he was yet again distracted by Young. In retaliation, The Fabulous Moolah, who was at ringside managing Terri, pulled The Kat out of the ring, which was seen by Venis, thus Terri won the match. Whilst celebrating, Mae Young attacked Terri and The Fabulous Moolah before giving Moolah the bronco buster whilst Kat stripped Terri of her clothing.

Next was an Intergender tag team match between the team of Too Cool (Grand Master Sexay and Scotty 2 Hotty) and Chyna against the team of The Radicalz (Perry Saturn, Dean Malenko, Eddie Guerrero). Both teams fought back and forth towards the end of the match, where Chyna was tagged into the match and delivered a press slam, powerbomb, and a sleeper slam and pinned Guerrero for the win.

The seventh match was a two-fall triple threat match for the WWF Intercontinental Championship and WWF European Championship, involving Kurt Angle, Chris Benoit, and Chris Jericho. The first fall would be for the Intercontinental Championship, while the second fall was for the European Championship. At the beginning of the first fall, all three men exchanged pin attempts towards midway into the match where Benoit broke up a Chicken wing submission by Angle onto Jericho. The situation allowed Benoit to climb to the top turnbuckle and delivered a Diving headbutt on Jericho into a pinfall to win the Intercontinental Championship.

During the second fall, Jericho and Benoit delivered a double powerbomb onto Angle, which proceeded into Benoit delivering three German suplexes onto Jericho.

Afterwards, Benoit attempted to deliver another diving headbutt onto Angle, however, Angle moved out of the way, resulting in Benoit hitting the ring mat. This situation allowed Jericho to deliver a Lionsault into a pinfall to win the European Championship. Therefore, Kurt Angle lost both titles without conceding to a pinfall.

Next up was Kane and the Bladewolf vs Road Dogg and X-Pac.

Off screen

George headed to the Gorilla while adjusting his elbow pads. "Hey!" he heard a voice call and looked to see Trish standing there, the two having become friends after their...first meeting. "Good luck out there."

George gave a small smirk and nodded before he got his game face on.

On screen

In the arena, DX's theme hits and out comes Road Dogg and X-Pac who make their way towards the ring for their tag team match. They got in the ring and did the DX chop to the fans before their theme dies down as they wait for their opponents.

OOOOOOWHOOOOOO!

Fire explodes on the stage as Kane's theme plays after the wolf howl and out comes the Bladewolf and Kane with Paul Bearer. The brothers enter the ring. causing X-Pac and Road Dogg to immediately leave it to avoid being attacked before the match. Eventually they enter the ring and Bladewolf starts off with X-Pac.

'Ding! Ding! Ding!'

Bladewolf lands a hard right on X-Pac right away and unloads, getting X-Pac into the corner where he continues to dish out punishment on him before he drives his boot into X-Pac's neck and leaves it there before he pulls his boot back and then stomps on X-Pac's stomach. Bladewolf glares at the referee, scaring him back. Bladewolf returns his attention back to X-Pac and continues dishing out punishment on him, landing hard lefts and rights to the forehead. Bladewolf pulls X-Pac to his feet then drives his elbow into the side of X-Pac's head before he drags him over to his corner and tags in Kane.

Kane comes in and stomps on the man that has caused him trouble these past few months. Kane picks X-Pac up and Irish whips him into the ropes before flooring him with a clothesline and goes for the cover but Road Dogg runs in and breaks it up, leading to Bladewolf coming in...AND HE SPEARS ROAD DOGG!

Bladewolf then yells something to Kane who nods and he scoops X-Pac up and holds him upside down while Bladewolf goes to the top rope before he jumps off...AND THEY HIT A SPIKE TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVER! KANE HOOKS THE LEG! ONE! TWO! THREE! KANE AND THE BLADEWOLF WIN!

'Ding! Ding! Ding!'

Kane's theme plays as the brothers stand tall together. However, behind them Pete Rose slides in and tries to hit Kane with a baseball batbut Bladewolf whirls around and boots him in the face. Kane grabs Pete Rose, lifts him up...AND PLANTS HIM WITH A CHOKESLAM!

The brothers leave the ring with Paul Bearer and head backstage...

And that's it for this story everyone. Next one will be where the pairing really kicks off now.

Bio: At a young age, George watched WWE and dreamed of being a WWE Superstar. When he was in his teens, he trained to be a wrestler, soon ending up witha gimmick, a name, and working at small wrestling shows under the name 'The Bladewolf'. In August 1997, he was approached by Jim Ross about a contract with the WWF and George accepted, having his tryout match at SummerSlam, where he defeated Tiger Ali Singh. Over the next several months he took on and defeated all opponents like Shawn Michaels, the Undertaker. Dude Love, Bob Holly. Leif Cassidy, and others.

Bladewolf continued his path of destruction and after facing Kane and loosing his first match to Kane, Paul Bearer revealed that Bladewolf was in fact the lost, little brother of the Undertaker and Kane. Bladewolf would eventually come face to face with his brothers, stopping Kane from slapping Undertaker. As 1997 reached an end, Bladewolf showed a desire to be WWF Champion and on the final RAW of 1997 he faced Shawn Michaels for the title but won by DQ, but Michaels retaiend due to titles not changing hands by a DQ.

Bladewolf competed in the 1998 Royal Rumble, eliminating 8 superstars and came down to the final two with Stone Cold Steve Austin, but was eliminated. Despite this, Bladewolf still desired a shot at the WWF Championship and was given the chance to be added to the Main Event at WrestleMania 14 when Vince McMahon put him into a tag team match against Vader and Marc Mero with his brother Kane being his partner. For the first time, the two brothers teamed up and showed dominance throughout most of the match and won the match, giving Bladewolf his shot at the title.

At WrestleMania 14, Bladewolf defeated Shawn Michaels and Stone Cold to win his first WWF Championship and making history by becoming the youngest Champion ever at the age of 21. After this, Bladewolf continued to feud with Stone Cold, leading to a match between the two at Unforgiven: In Your House, where Austin won the WWF Championship, ending Bladewolf's first reign at 28 days.

After this, Bladewolf demanded a rematch which Vince McMahon refused to give, causing Bladewolf to go on a destructive rampage for two weeks until Vince gave him a shot at the WWF Intercontinental Championship at Over the Edge: In Your House. At the event, Bladewolf defeated the Rock to win his first Intercontinental Championship and be the youngest Intercontinental Champion in WWF history. Bladewolf then showed a desire to win the 1998 King of the Ring tournament as he competed in it all the way up to the King of the Ring event where he won to become the 1998 King of the Ring.

After this, Bladewolf once again feuded with Triple H and the Rock, leading to a Triple Threat match at SummerSlam which Bladewolf won to retain the WWF Intercontinental Championship. After this, Bladewolf united with Kane and the Undertaker to form the Brothers of Destruction as they went on a Night ofDestruction after being insulted by Vince McMahon. At Breakdown: In Your House, the three brothers faced Stone Cold Steve Austin in a Fatal 4-Way match for the WWF Championship, with the stipulation that the brothers could not pin each other, making it mostly a 3-on-1 handicap match. In the end, all three brothers pinned Austin with no clear winner.

Bladewolf continued to demand a WWF Title shot but Vince never gave him one. Bladewolf lost his Intercontinental Championship to Ken Shamrock at Judgement Day, ending his reign at 140 days. Bladewolf was then attacked by Undertaker during a I Quit match with Stone Cold two weeks later. Bladewolf returned at Survivor Series to face Undertaker in the WWF Championship tournament, where he defeated the Undertaker but Undertaker tossed him into a casket which he set ablaze, similar to when Kane did the same thing to Undertaker at the 1998 Royal Rumble.

Bladewolf returned to the WWF on the 25/1/1999 episode of RAW to defend Kane from Shane McMahon, reuniting the Brothers of Destruction. Kane and Bladewolf would go on to defeat Jeff Jarrett and Owen Hart for the World Tag Team Championships at St. Valentine's Day Massacre: In Your House, giving Bladewolf his first tag team title reign. They faced Hart and Jarrett again at WrestleMania 15 where they retained the titles, giving Bladewolf his second victory at WrestleMania.

Bladewolf and Kane continued to remain dominant and remain the WWF Tag Team Champions, while at the same time Bladewolf got himself back into the WWF Title picture mid-1999. He and Kane soon lost the titles, ending their reign at 141 days. Afterwards, Bladewolf faced Stone Cold Steve Austin on the RAW after Fully Loaded for the WWF Championship. Bladewolf turned Heel for the first time in his career when Undertaker and Kane, who had reunited and turned Heel. aided Bladewolf in winning the WWF Championship and reforming the Brothers of Destruction with Paul Bearer as their manager.

The brothers began causing destruction along the way to SummerSlam, where Bladewolf took on Stone Cold Steve Austin in a rematch for the WWF Championship, which Bladewolf won to retain. However, the following night on RAW, Bladewolf had a WWF Championship match with Triple H which he lost thanks to Shane McMahon. During the match, Bladewolf was injured and needed time off.

He returned in February 2000 to aid Kane against DX, turning Face. He also debuted a new look. He had removed the mask and changed his ring attire, along with bringing a motorcycle to the ring with him. Bladewolf and Kane's feud with DX ended at WrestleMania 16 when Kane and Bladewolf defeated X-Pac and Road Dogg, giving Bladewolf his 3rd victory at WrestleMania.
