-Chapter-Sixty-one-
-Madison pov-
After a week in the hospital we all are returning home. I guess I should say one of us is coming home. We got the all clear on winter a few days back. She fought through and can breath on her own.
James said to bring her back if we had any issues. I have noticed the street seems more lively. So many cars are parked in front of houses. The neighbors also are so happy.
We really do have some great neighbors here though. I wave and make winter wave to them as well. They all laugh and walk toward our house. Am I missing something right now?
We shared our secret with the neighbors walking over when we had a diaper incident. Lucy and Santana made it out in the buff way too late in the afternoon. They all seemed very open minded. They even asked question to avoid being rude.
My wives seem to be confused as well. We walk to the door minus me. I am in a wheel chair currently. We get inside and there's confetti poppers shot off.
The Lima gang is here with our other friends and family. We slowly go in as the neighbors finally show their gifts. We were not expecting this. Dani is slowly pushed towards us.
"She did it" Carole smiles "I only helped a little"
"You all have done so much for me since I've come here" Dani smiles "I was given Christmas and a new year! You guys all helped me out when I thought no one would..now I want to return that"
"With a surprise return party?" She nods and I smile "Thank you Dani"
"COME ON!" Alice walks over smiling "I wanna hold my granddaughter!"
"Hey I'm in line first!" Rose walks over "I wanna hold her"
My mom scoffs and walks over "I gave birth to the mother" She smirks and holds her arms out "It is only right baby girl"
"Mary and then Debbie" The mom all drop their jaws "They acted in good behavior"
"Ha!" Mary walks over and I hand her Winter "I told you all to behave"
"I know some tikes that have missed you all" Debbie leads over the girls "They are your problem now"
I laugh as the girls all rush over. Everyone smiles around us and this feels amazing. It is great to be surrounded by loved ones. I think this party was much needed.

"Hey Judes" I smile as John walks over "Nice party huh? I bet we took you by surprise"
"He is single you know" John looks at me confused and nervous "James is single and I believe ready to mingle"
"He could not be gay" John looks toward where James is "Is he?"
"Very" Shelby walks over with a smile "Why not go over there and try talking to him?"
John shakes his head "I could not even if I tried" He sighs "My game is weak"
"That is how people get pregnant" John tenses as James walks over "Sorry! Pullout joke"
"Funny" John goes to turn but I stop him "I had to go over there"
"James!" I turn to James with a smile "John here is a police officer! He is also one of the only out police men in the force!"
"Oh really?" James smiles as he looks over at John "That is very interesting"
"You problem do not wanna hear about my gay stories" John starts to try walking away again "I should really go"
"I have some gay stories of my own" John stops and James nods toward some chairs "Wanna share them?"
John looks at us "Uhhh" We nod and he looks at James "Sure"
"Great" James grabs his hand "Let's go"
Johns eyes go wide as he is lead away. I booty bump with Shelby and we go to the living room. The girls are loving all of the attention. We really did get lucky with some great neighbors.
I look at the karaoke station to see my mom up there. I really was not ready for that. She has not sung in such a long time. She looks ready though as the music starts.
-Alice singing-
She was staring out that window, of that SUV
Complaining, saying I can't wait to turn 18
She said I'll make my own money, and I'll make my own rules
Mamma put the car in park out there in front of the school
Then she kissed her head and said I was just like you
[Chorus]
You're gonna miss this
You're gonna want this back
You're gonna wish these days hadn't gone by so fast
These Are Some Good Times
So take a good look around
You may not know it now
But you're gonna miss this
Before she knows it she's a brand new bride
In a one-bedroom apartment, and her daddy stops by
He tells her It's a nice place
She says It'll do for now
Starts talking about babies and buying a house
Daddy shakes his head and says Baby, just slow down
[Chorus]
You're gonna miss this
You're gonna want this back
You're gonna wish these days hadn't gone by so fast
These Are Some Good Times
So take a good look around
You may not know it now
But you're gonna miss this
Five years later there's a plumber workin' on the water heater
Dog's barkin', phone's ringin'
One kid's cryin', one kid's screamin'
She keeps apologizin'
He says They don't bother me.
I've got 2 babies of my own.
One's 36, one's 23.
Huh, it's hard to believe, but ...
[Chorus]
You're gonna miss this
You're gonna want this back
You're gonna wish these days hadn't gone by so fast
These Are Some Good Times
So take a good look around
You may not know it now
But you're gonna miss this
You're gonna miss this
Yeah, you're gonna miss this
"I have not been a good person in the past or a good mom" She looks toward me with a watery smile "I am trying my best to make up for it...I am going to be a better mom and grandma for winter...that is all"
"That was great" I walk up to mom and hug her "Thank you"
-Dani-Everyone-
Thank you for being a friend
Traveled down the road and back again
Your heart is true you're a pal and a confidant
I'm not ashamed to say
I hope it always will stay this way
My hat is off, won't you stand up and take a bow
And if you threw a party
Invited everyone you knew
You would see, the biggest gift would be from me
And the card attached would say,
Thank you for being a friend
Thank you for being a friend
Thank you for being a friend
Thank you for being a friend
If it's a car you lack
I'd surely buy you a cadillac
Whatever you need, anytime of the day or night
I'm not ashamed to say
I hope it always will stay this way
My hat is off, won't you stand up and take a bow
And when we both get older
With walking canes and hair of gray
Have no fear, even though it's hard to hear
I will stand real close and say,
Thank you for being a friend
(I want to thank you)
Thank you for being a friend
(I want to thank you)
Thank you for being a friend
(I want to thank you)
Thank you for being a friend
(I want to thank you)
Let me tell you bout a friend
(I want to thank you)
Thank you for being a friend
(I want to thank you)
Thank you for being a friend
(I want to thank you)
Thank you for being a friend
And when we die and float away
Into the night, the Milky Way
You'll hear me call, as we ascend
I'll see you there, then once again
Thank you for being a friend
Thank you for being a friend
(I want to thank you)
Thank you for being a friend
(I want to thank you)
Thank you for being a friend
(I want to thank you)
Thank you for being a friend
Whoa, tell you about a friend
(Thank you right now, for being a friend)
Thank you for being a friend
(I wanna tell you right now, and tell you again)
Thank you for being a friend
(I wanna thank you, thank you, for being a friend)
Thank you for being a friend
"Thank you all" My wives and get together to look at everyone "Thank you so much...we truly are blessed for our family"
"Thank you for caring for all of us" James raises his glass "To the Corpezbury house!"
"TO THE CORPEZBURY HOUSE!"
We smile as everyone smiles. This is our little family here. These are the people who have gotten us together. We owe them all our gratitude.
Winter truly has a loving family. We truly have an amazing family.
