"Wally give me that controller!"

"No way it's still my turn!"

John rolled his eyes as Shayera and Wally fought over the gaming controller. John didn't know what was worse. The fact that Wally had gotten Shayera into video games or the fact that Wally owned mostly violent video games.

He watched as Wally pushed his hand against Shayera's face to keep her at arm's length of the controller. The Green Lantern knew if Wally wasn't careful he was soon going to get a fist to his face.

"Wally you idiot! You have two stars and you barely were able to get away with one star," Shayera made another grab for the controller.

"I am too gonna get away!" Wally blew a raspberry at her and used his speed to dash behind the couch. "I'm the master at this game."

"Some master you are," Shayera dryly stated as she rolled her eyes. "You have horrible aim when shooting and you're a speeding disaster behind the wheel."

Wally and Shayera had a gaming night every week in the rec room of the Watchtower; which started not too long after her return to the Justice League. Once John had got back together with the Thanagarian he normally accompanied her to these gaming nights. Of course John refused to play the video games as he found them to be pointless. Shayera on the other hand had a ball playing the games Wally normally did.

Recently they had been playing more and more of Grand Theft Auto IV and Call of Duty 4 than the other games that the speedster owned. Both of these games were more violent than necessary in John's opinion. This of course proved to be right up Shayera's alley.

"Dammit!" Wally frowned before thrusting the controller into Shayera's hands. "You get away from them then."

Shayera smirked, "I have no intentions of doing that."

"What are you doing? You're driving right at them," Wally then gasped. "You just blew up the police car! You're so dead Shay. You got three stars."

"According to you Wally," Shayera nonchalantly stated as her sole focus was on the game.

John just watched Shayera as she played. She proved even in video games that she was a calculating strategist. So far Shayera was managing to stay alive in the game and had progressed to four stars. John was assuming the number of stars meant the higher level of a threat the player was and the higher the police reaction would be.

"Watch out for the helicopters!" Wally pointed at the screen over her shoulder.

"Wally move your arm I can't see," Shayera complained.

"You can't use a bazooka on the helicopters. There's no way it would work."

Shayera rolled her eyes, "Of course it'll work. It blows stuff up."

"Great flippin' Hera it worked!"

John sighed at the carnage on the screen. Wally was getting even more vocal, if even possible, by the fact that Shayera had made it to five stars and was still alive. "What's the point of all of this? I thought the whole point of this game was stealing cars."

Wally zipped over to John and put his arm over his shoulder, "John my friend you have a lot to learn about this game. Stealing cars is just one small possibility," Wally then paused as he began to laugh. "Ha you got killed!"

"Dammit I was so close," Shayera growled. "I wanted to blow up a few more cop cars."

John found it very ironic that the two of them enjoyed playing this game considering all of the crimes that needed to be committed. Well maybe not so ironic for Shayera but he found it very unbelievable that Wally of all people had even played these games on his own before these game nights.

"Oh that car looks fast, steal that one," he heard Wally say.

"Which one? You can't just say that car. There's at least ten different cars here Wally."

"The red one."

"That narrows it down to five. Screw it I'm carjacking this person."

These antics went on for over another hour. John was ready to fall asleep from boredom until Wally decided it was time to break out the second controller and play Call of Duty. John was somewhat surprised Shayera had even been willing to play the game given it's military background. Of course the game lasted only for five minutes before Wally started to complain.

"You keep headshotting me! Stop it!"

Shayera however didn't respond as she was completely engrossed in the game. John turned his focus back to the game to see that Shayera's character had yet to take any damage and was literally mowing through the computer controlled opponents and Wally.

"Wally you bit off way more than you can chew," the speedster stuck his tongue out at him. "You thought you could take on a former military lieutenant in a war game?"

"I'd like you to see you do better GL," Wally countered as the round ended, resulting in a resounding loss for him.

"I probably could do better than you Wally," John scoffed.

"Well then," Shayera smirked. "As the Earth saying goes, put your money where your mouth is Lantern. I'll give you five rounds with Wally to learn the controls then you can take me on."

John returned the smirk, "Seems fair enough Shay."

Shayera handed John her controller before getting off the couch, walking behind John, and wrapping her arms around his neck. "I'll give you a very close and personal lesson."

John felt Shayera's lips form a smile against his ear, "I'm sure you will babe." He turned his head and kissed her, causing Wally to make a gagging motion.

"Hey you two wanna get a room?"

Shayera rolled her eyes as she looked at Wally, "Oh please I'm sure you've seen worse than this."

"It's still gross. It's like as if I actually had an older sister I had to watch make out with her boyfriend."

Shayera raised an eyebrow, "I thought you said I pretty much am your sister at this point."

"Exactly," Wally pointed out. "That's why it's gross."

"Ok...what's that term again?" Shayera paused to think for a second, "Oh right...little bro."

Wally frowned, "I'm not a little kid. Let's just get the game started already."

The trio went back to gaming with Shayera explaining the game's mechanics to John and, at times, placing her hands over his on the controller to show him which buttons to use. The computer generated soldiers had been set to the lowest difficulty to help John not die too many times.

"Wally!" The couple exclaimed as he sniped John in the game.

"Wally you're supposed to be going easy on me," John frowned.

"I told you to just go after the computer controlled ones," Shayera as well frowned as she then cracked her knuckles. "Do you need a reminder?"

Wally looked at Shayera nervously as he swallowed, "Nope I'm good. No more sniping."

The rounds went by slowly at first but by the fourth round John seemed to be getting the hang of the game and was beating Wally. During the final round Wally was getting destroyed.

Shayera snickered, "Just admit that you suck at video games Wally. John is a novice and he's beating you."

"It's not fair. He has military background like you. You're both cheaters," he pouted as the round ended with another loss for The Flash.

"Hand it over," Shayera held her hand out to Wally.

Wally just continued to pout as he handed the controller to the Thanagarian, grumbling the entire time.

"Alright Marine let's see what you got," she said in a challenging tone as she sat in between the Green Lantern and Flash.

"You have no idea how badly you're gonna lose Shay."

"Oh don't we sound confident?"

They were only thirty seconds into the game when John's character was killed.

"Did you just run up and knife me?"

"What if I did?"

"Oh I'm getting you back for that."

"I wanna see you try."

Smug aliens were not easy to deal with. Even if that smug alien happened to be his girlfriend.

Honestly John found the game a bit disorienting as the screen was split. Shayera's character on the left and his on the right. To John everything seemed the same though he knew Shayera and Wally could tell the differences in locations easily from the amount of time they played the game. That and all the characters looked the same to him.

He didn't last more than sixty seconds before Shayera had knifed him again.

"I don't know who's worse, you or Wally."

John frowned as he watched her side of the screen as his character had to respawn. He watched as she switched back to using a gun and was plowing through the other soldiers, scarily getting mostly headshots and using minimal ammo.

Shayera looked at him with a sly smirk, "Looks like you aren't a challenge either Lantern."

"Told ya she's too good," Wally commented as John frowned.

"Of course I am," Shayera stated in an overconfident tone. "I don't know why you'd even question it."

"A flagrant ego with a mouth to match," John muttered.

"What was that John?" Shayera looked at him as she narrowed her eyes.

"Nothing," he quickly replied. John returned his focus back to the game; he wasn't about to give up so easily. It had only been one round so far.

After another forty minutes, John's patience for the game was wearing thin.

The Green Lantern sighed as he handed the controller back to Wally, "Alright I give. I'm not all into this video game stuff like you two."

Shayera chuckled as she patted his shoulder, "You didn't do too bad John. Look at it this way you did manage to kill me a handful of times. Wally can't even manage to do it once."

John shrugged before smirking, "That's true. At least I know I'm not as bad as Wally is apparently."

"Hey!"
