Tobio and Hinata walked through the maze of streets. Oikawa had decided to hide in Ground Beta, which was apparently the hardest to fight on, since it was a city simulation. Yachi and Tsukishima had to fight on Ground Gamma, a mess of giant pipes and metal beams. Lev and Yamaguchi had to fight on Ground Omega, which was just a giant wooded area.

Tobio thought he drew the short straw when he heard he and Hinata were fighting Oikawa. Even if they had a strategy, he could make them not want to go along with it.

"So," Tobio disrupted the awkward silence between the two, "we need a plan."

"I thought you already had one," Hinata said coldly.

Tobio fidgeted with his hands. Now or never, he thought. "Hinata, I'm sorry."

"We're not doing this right now," Hinata shut him down. "We're in the middle of training. We can deal with personal issues later."

"We don't trust each other enough to do this training exercise!" Tobio stopped them by grabbing Hinata's arm. "I need you to know that I'm sorry. I was the one who suggested that we shouldn't be friends anymore. It was my fault, okay?"

"So his majesty swallowed his pride long enough to apologize, hm?" Oikawa's voice came from behind them.

Hinata's face flushed. Tobio could feel his cheeks heating up as well. They turned around to find Oikawa just standing at the head of an alley.

"Oikawa," Tobio growled.

Oikawa wagged his pointer finger. "Ah ah ah, my dear Tobio. It's King Allure while we're fighting."

"Yeah? Then it's King Crow to you!" Tobio snapped.

"Oh, my dear!" Oikawa gasped. "You named yourself after me? I'm so flattered, I could just kiss you!" He walked past Tobio to get to Hinata. "And you?" He traced Hinata's jaw with his finger. "What's your hero name?"

"Back off!" Tobio roared.

"Oh?" Oikawa grinned. "But why, little Tobio? Can you explain to me exactly why I should 'back off'?" He wrapped his arms around a stunned Hinata. "I think I should keep him, no? He's got a cute little face, and that red hair-"

Tobio cut him off by punching him in the face. "I told you to back. Off."

Oikawa let go of Hinata, standing up straight. "Well, now. Seems like I struck a nerve." He gingerly touched his bruising face. "And you struck more than a few on me. I think that deserves payback." He shrugged. "But the hunt is so much more fun than the kill. I'll give you lovelies three minutes to come up with a strategy." The handsome boy waved his hand. "Go, go."

Tobio took his chance. He gripped Hinata's arm and dragged him away from Oikawa. When they were out of earshot in an alleyway, Hinata wrenched his wrist away.

"What are you doing?" he demanded. "Don't grab me like that."

"You idiot, you wouldn't have left on your own," Tobio said angrily. "He was using his quirk on you!"

"So I would've been out of commission?" Hinata asked incredulously. "Just so I wouldn't be able to serve you, your majesty?"

Tobio stepped back, stung. "You think that's why I dragged you away? You idiot, I was saving your butt!"

"Way to use your vast vocabulary, genius," Hinata insulted. "This is exactly why I didn't want to be friends with you."

"You're so stupid!" Tobio pushed his black bangs up. "Whatever, I don't care anymore."

"You don't care anymore?" Hinata argued. "I stopped caring about you the minute we broke up."

"Well I didn't!" Tobio snapped. Hinata stepped back. "I miss you, Shoyo! I've missed you these past few months! And you started dating Miya, and that-"

"Dating Miya?" Hinata asked. "You mean Atsumu? You think we're dating? Kageyama, he and I are just friends! He says weird things to me, and I guess that's flirting or whatever, but we're friends!"

Tobio fumed. "Of-of course I knew that!" He clenched his fists.

"I can hear you," Oikawa's voice said in a sing-songy tone.

"It hasn't been three minutes yet!" Tobio retorted.

"Oh," the voice creaked, not exactly sounding like Oikawa's anymore. "I forgot that's what he said." Tobio watched as a man walked into the head of the alleyway. He was holding a beat up and unconscious Oikawa in his left hand, and a knife in his right. "Now, I'm going to make a proposal to you two. The redhead comes quietly, and we don't have to make a scene. If not, I kill this kid," he pressed the knife up to Oikawa's neck, "then I kill you and take the redhead."

"Hinata, stand back," Tobio commanded, holding his arms out. "I'll take care of him."

"I don't need you to protect me," Hinata objected. He stepped in front of Tobio. "I'll come with you," he called to the man holding Oikawa.

Hinata held his hands up, and he turned to Tobio. He launched himself up and hugged the taller boy. Tobio put his hands on Hinata's back, unable to figure out what else to do.

"Hey," Hinata whispered in his ear. "When you have Oikawa, run."

He let go and looked Tobio in the eyes. His light brown eyes were still filled with irritation. He turned around and put his hands back up. He walked up to the man, who threw the injured Oikawa on the ground. The man grasped Hinata's shoulder tightly. Tobio ran up and lifted Oikawa.

"Am I...still...beautiful?" Oikawa coughed up blood.

"Yeah, yeah," Tobio consoled halfheartedly. "You're beautiful, whatever. We need to look at those wounds."

"Hinata…" Oikawa croaked, shakily pointing at the boy being taken away by the man.

Tobio looked up to see Hinata being stuck in the neck with a needle. Immediately, the redhead's wings fell limp, almost dragging the small boy down.

"Quirk inhibitor?" Tobio wondered aloud. "Hinata!"

Hinata turned his head for a split second. After that, he turned his entire body away from the man, purposefully slamming his twenty pound wings into him. The man stumbled back as Hinata ran.

"Pick Oikawa up and run!" Hinata commanded, running past Tobio and dragging his giant wings behind him.

"Your wings!" Tobio called out to him, following with Oikawa on his back.

"Yeah, I know," Hinata answered, picking up his wings so they wouldn't slow him down. "It's fine. I think that was just a temporary inhibitor drug, the ones they use for sports."

"Yeah," Tobio sighed in relief.

They ran for what felt like hours, although it was probably only ten minutes. They arrived at the exit gate of Ground Beta. They met the others out there. They seemed perfectly calm, meaning the villains hadn't met up with them yet.

"Guys!" Hinata called out to them.

Daichi looked over. "Hinata?" He looked between Tobio, Hinata, and Oikawa. His face went from welcoming to a dark look. "What happened to Oikawa?"

Tobio caught up and set Oikawa down. "There was a villain after Hinata."

"What's new?" Tsukishima asked, exasperated.

"'What's new' is that he mimicked Oikawa's voice," Hinata snapped.

"And he somehow got through his Charisma," Tobio added. "I think he might have snuck up on him with an inhibitor. He hit Hinata up with one." He motioned to Hinata's wings.

Sawamura nodded and pressed a button on a remote. Two robots wheeled around with a stretcher. They loaded Oikawa onto it and wheeled him off, beeping something about "weak, inferior humans".

"Alright," Sawamura said once they left. "Oikawa's on his way to the infirmary to see Recovery Man. He should be back to normal in the morning. We should all escort Hinata back to the dorms." He put a hat on Hinata's head. "There. Now you won't be so obvious."

"Excuse me," Tsukishima chimed in. "If we're all escorting him, wouldn't that be too conspicuous?"

Nishinoya jumped forward. "Actually, it makes sure that there are more targets."

Tanaka stuck a thumb at himself. "And with my quirk, there will be even more."

"Wait," Hinata finally butted in. "I never said I agreed with this plan." Everyone turned their attention toward him. "I won't put you guys in danger just for me."

Tobio scowled. "Get over yourself!" Hinata winced. "We're heroes. We're going to protect someone in danger. A good hero needs protection, too." He grabbed Hinata's collar. "So get off your high horse and let us protect you, Shoyo!"
