Peter's POV

I'm getting ready to go to school.

"Bye May," I say walking out.

I get a text from Abby it reads: "Get over here quick! It's an emergency." I start to panic. I run over to her house the door is open so I let myself in. I run up to Abby's room.

"What's wrong?" I panic.

She turns around holding two pairs of shoes. "I have my audition today, and I can't decide if I should wear my boots or red converse." She says.

"Seriously? This was the emergency I was really worried." I say calming down.

"This is an emergency." She pouts.

I sigh and smile "Red converse they'll go good with your dress." I now notice the blue sundress she is wearing, her hair curled and half up half down.

"Thanks, Peter." She says happily, then she kisses my cheek.

I hold her hand and walk with her to school. It was the slowest day of school ever. I had chess club after school.

"Ok everyone listen up, we have only 3 days to prepare the Homecoming parade. So grab some scissors and start cutting out the cutout of the chess pieces." Mr. Dika says.

I go sit next to my bud, Curtis. I am the king chess piece and Curtis is the Bishop. We have an in-depth conversation on the best chess strategies. Then we had to go. I know that Abby had her audition today so I go to the theater to walk home with her. She comes out smiling ear to ear.

"I got the part!" She exploded.

"Yeah, I'm so happy for you," I say smiling.

I walk home with her hand in hand. It makes me so happy to see her happy. I walk into the house, and her dad is sitting on the couch.

"I'll be right back," Abby says kissing my cheek.

"Ok," I say.

"Mr. Parker, a word." I hear from Abby's dad.

"Ummm...sure, Mr. Ellis." I hesitate

"What are your intentions with my only daughter with a good future, my child, my peanut? They better be good because you should know that I can be VERY menacing."

I hesitate then respond," "ummmm..I just wanna make her happy."

He looks at me then nods Just know I have very powerful friends."

I look at him wide-eyed and nodded. Then Abby comes down.

"Bye, Dad. We're going to Ida's house Daisy and Delilah will be there too." She says grabbing my hand.

"Ok, be safe, peanut." He says.

"We will." She says turning and we walk to Ida's house.
