A/N: since I think that I was grasping at straws on Game of Life, I decided to document the supposed events that can support this pairing.

As the meeting was called for the immediate retrieval of the Shinigamis assigned to Karakura town.
Byakuya's mind could not help but wonder. Anxious.
He should have not allowed Rukia to go.

For she had almost died, at the hands of Grimmjow, just to protect Kurosaki. As was reported.

Rukia could not help but feel fear and apprehension as soon as she saw Byakuya along with the captain of 11th squad, tasked to return them to soul society at all cost.
To prevent them, from helping Ichigo, rescue their friend, Orihime Inoue.
In that moment, she knew that all hope was gone.
Pity comes over her.
For she is now powerless to help Ichigo, knowing what he must be going through.
Losing support.
Left alone.
She would have done everything she could to stay by his side.
But…
Byakuya is there to take her.
And thus…
she's powerless.

She thought, as Renji ushered her towards the gate. Looking at Ichigo.
Wait for us!
We will definitely help you, rescue Orihime!
Rukia vowed to herself, as the Senkaimon gate closed in front of her.
"Ichigo" Rukia whispered.
