Supergirl Plagiarized

You know…when I first started writing Supergirl Lost, I knew when I first started posting, within a few chapters, that I had something special. Not in terms of how many people read it, but by how much I loved writing it. It's my baby, one of my favorite fanfictions I've written, both in my published and unpublished works.

That being said, I was under no illusion that, one day (since this is the internet), someone might come along and either steal the idea, or use part of my story within their own. I used ideas I got from other stories all the time, after all (and inserted plenty of homages to those I took inspiration from), and I made my peace that someoday someone would do the same with me. I Never thought that someone would plagiarize my entire story down to the letter.

Maybe it was naïve of me, maybe I was never arrogant enough to think my story would be good enough for someone to try and word for word copy and publish as their own. My typos are even in the goddamn book, so thanks for not even trying to clean them up you lazy ass.

But it's happened, and now I'm furious that it has.

These words are now directly for you, thief.

If you had credited me, or simply fucking asked me, I would have said no, you can't repost my work, even if you had credited me, which you didn't. Now, oh boy, now though, you've made me very angry. So, Lauren, if that even is your real name, I'll be watching you. I'll be watching your little wattpad page with interest. I might even comment a time or two on it, just to fuck with you so you'll always be guessing if you're talking to the real author.

Maybe you'll never read this, thief, but I'll tell you something. I was working on a sequel, but now...god now I'm not sure i wanna even do it. I don't know, because if I work on, and post it, after pouring my heart and soul into it, will you steal that as well? Will you take from me again, thief?

Oh, and by the way, changing the title (which I won't blast here for all to see…yet)? Real original.

Thankfully I have loyal readers, one of which alerted me to what was happening.

To the guest who told me, you have my personal thanks so that I can keep my…personal eye on this thief.

Now, finally, I will leave you with a few borrowed, and altered, words.

"Beware of taking what was never yours.

Thief, you have been warned"
