He kissed her mixing ice cream flavors then pulled away before kissing her again. He pulled her close as they continued walking along the pathway of the park. He pulled her beside to take a few photos of her by the rose bush then Bonnie took some of him before they posed together. They continued with their walk smiling at all the dogs playing on the grass and babies in strollers and kids on the playground. Stefan grabbed her hand and lifted it to his mouth kissing her there. She smiled over at him and before she spoke, he kissed her distracting her mind. She chuckled as he grunted hearing an alert to his phone go off and at first she got angry at him for always stopping everything to answer it but she explained to him that how the work comes in. They started walking again as he answered the email and she decided to check her phone for messages and replied to her friends individually then their group text. They were still semi-shocked over the fact that she and Stefan were dating but they saw it coming by a mile away.
Bonnie laughed as he tickled her growing against her neck. She begged him to stop after a while and he took mercy on her smiling as she let out more giggles. "I fucking love you." He kissed her multiple times turning them over.
"I can't stay," she pulled away from his lips.
He rolled his eyes sighing. "I know," he grabbed her hips. "Guess what,"
"What?"
"My manager found a job for you,"
"Me only?"
He sat up and kissed her. "You can't be with me always, just like I can't be with you always."
"Can you be there for me, at least?"
"Of course." He kissed her then grabbed her waist then kissed her. "Don't leave me."
"I wouldn't if I didn't have to."
"You don't have to, you just really want to."
"Babe,"
"I get it, I'm a work man too, but it would be nice if I could spend more time with you."
"You know, you're sounding a lot like an ex-boyfriend of mine."
"I know but you're the boss, you have employees, Bon. You don't need to be there at eight AM every day."
"Some of those people sacrificed a lot to be in this company with me, the least I could do is be there."
"Whatever, forget I said anything."
"Stefan, you knew long before we started dating that this company is my baby. I don't complain when you stop kissing me or talking to me the second you get an email, do I? It's the same thing."
"Alright, alright. I'm sorry," he kissed her. "It's just going from, you know being with someone constantly to only seeing your partner after five— if you're lucky. It's hard."
She sighed. "I love you and I promise that I'll make more time for you. You're right, my employees can handle themselves, but you also know how much of a control freak I am." She smiled when he chuckled. "Forgive me," she met their foreheads and kissed him as he grabbed her.
"Of course I forgive you, baby." He kissed her again. "You're my girl, I want what's best for you. I love you."
"I love you too." She met their lips again then allowed herself to give into him for a while.
Stefan paused seeing the back of her but decided to be a man and suck it up. He was grocery shopping so he could pick up some ingredients to make Bonnie dinner tonight. She's been cooking for him for the past week and though he greatly appreciated it and loves it, he figured that he let her relax after a day at the office. He was heading to the lines when he saw Gabi and as she turned, he noticed she was flipping through Teen Vogue and he wonders if she's looking for pictures of him because he's never seen her look through that magazine at all. He quickly bypasses her getting in the line that putting one check-out lane between them. He cleared his throat slightly but kept his eyes forward.
He reached the cashier and she scanned and bagged things pretty quickly and he was on his way out until her cart blocked his. She stares at him, folding her arms under her chest.
"Gabi," he shifted his eyes then looked back at her. "How are you doing?"
"Pretty good. I just saw you and I thought I'd say hello," she discreetly looked in his cart.
Stefan noticed narrowing his eyes. "Well, I should go. I have a meeting." He backed up then moved his cart more to the left, walking past her. "It was great seeing you." He continued out of the store.
He quickly put his bags in the trunk then drove away before she trapped him in with her car.
…
She smiled feeling his lips kiss up her neck as he held her tight. He pulled away then met their lips, kissing her deeper until her breath grew short.
"I need you to post one of the photos of just you by the rose bushes today, okay? Since I posted mine,"
She nodded. "Okay."
"I love you."
"I love you more." She kissed him. "oh, guess who I bumped into today,"
"Who?"
"Derek. It was pretty awkward but I guess that should be expected."
"That's weird because I bumped into Gabi at the store. What if they know,"
"Know what?"
"That's we're dating. Don't get me wrong, I don't really care, but I would've liked for them to find out a little later."
"Why?"
"Just to spare their feelings,"
She smiled. "My boyfriend showing off his sensitive side is even sexier than his Twitter bio." He chuckled then closed his eyes when he kissed her.
He watched her breasts as she pulled her shirt up her body. Just as he opened his mouth, banging on the door caused his head to snap towards it.
"Stefan!"
"What the fuck?"
Bonnie got up from his lap and put on her shirt as she followed him downstairs stopping at the end of the stairs as he went to answer the door. She gasped and rushed through Gabi's side as she fell through the door bleeding from her arm.
"Who did this to you?"
She looked up seeing his eyes now coal black with red veins underneath them.
"I don't know, he got me from behind he- he bit me and scratched me."
"Bonnie, you got this?"
"Where are you going?"
"I'll be back alright, just take care of her."
"Wait, Stef—" she sighed then helped Gabi up. "I'm going to call Damon."
"Who's that?"
"Stefan's older brother who he hates, but you need vampire blood." Gabi narrowed her eyes then watched her dial a number. "Damon, it's me. How soon can you get to Stefan's?"
Stefan entered the infamous bar for all things mystical in Mystic Falls. Piggy's. You were only there if you were supernatural or you loved being fed off of by vampires. Everyone owned someone.
Stefan sat at the bar and ordered a shot of whiskey.
"I'm Bianca."
He turned to her revealing his true form having her smile. "I'm Stefan."
"I know,"
"Do you now?"
She nodded. "I've seen you around and in the magazines. No wonder you look exactly to same."
He moved his eyes down to her neck as she pushed the hair that was on it away. "I need you to tell me something."
"Okay,"
"Did this woman come around here?"
He watched her eyes shift to the photo on his phone. "You're a cop now?" He growled and she sighed looking at the photo again. "I've seen her around. But that was months ago but she only dropped by for a few weeks."
"Who did she belong to?"
"Look, you could tell it was her first time ever at a place like this, she was so nervous that it made you nervous. We thought she was a nark or something. I confronted her, asked her what her deal was and she tells me that her boyfriend is a vamp and she wants to get used to being bit. Stupid bitch if you ask me, no offense. Anyway, I sent
her to Haiti. Everyone has to go through him."
"And?"
"And I guess he liked her. Decided to keep her. But all of a sudden she stopped coming. I guess she got used to it." She shrugged then walked away.
Stefan ran his fingers through his hair thinking that this was all of his fault. He has no idea how she even heard about this place, he knows that he hadn't breathed a word of it. He ordered another shot knowing that he needed to find a particular someone.
"Stefan, long time no see,"
"Haiti,"
I guess his search is over.
Bonnie left her as she went to take a shower then joined Damon downstairs. She closed her eyes turning her head as he grabbed her waist. "I'm seeing someone."
"Of course you are, you always are." He turned her head towards him and kisses her, grabbing her as she kissed him back but she pushed him off wiping her mouth. "It's like that, huh?"
"Listen. What we had was great. Perfect even, in some cases, but it can't happen again."
"I've heard the speech, Bonnie, no need to repeat it." He walked away and she followed him into the kitchen. "So this person you're seeing. It's my brother, isn't it?"
"Damon,"
"Funny because I remember you breaking up with me because you said you wanted a family. My brother can't do any better than I can."
"That wasn't the only reason. Stefan literally hated us together, he would barely talk to me and I could lose my best friend because I knew for certain that he would be in my life until I die."
"But you had no faith in me,"
"Damon, come on. How many women have you been with since the breakup? I've only been with two people since then including your brother, so tell me."
"What does that have to do with anything?"
"You're not faithful. And that's fine, but—"
"But I was to you. We were together all the time, Bonnie. I didn't fuck anyone else when we were together and you know that."
"It doesn't matter anyway. We can't be together again."
"Is this Bonnie speaking or Stefan's best friend?"
She looked up at him meeting his eyes.
Stefan laughed after downing his shot shaking his head at the story. He wanted to butter him up a little first before he got to business because he knew that Haiti would be more willing to share after he's had a few.
"So what's been up with you, man?"
"Nothing much. Dating a sexy woman, you know how it is."
"Still into those human girls?"
"I never liked fucking vampires, man, those ladies get too attached. Everything's so fuckin heightened, you give it to them good once, they're riding your ass for eternity."
A deep laugh roared from his stomach. "Ah shit, man. You ain't lying. You ain't. Lying. Let me see her,"
"Hold on, let me find a photo where she's not naked, uh," Haiti laughed again shaking his head then took the phone from his hands.
"Damn. Hey, wasn't this Damon's girl at one point?"
"Please, she was always my girl."
"How is he anyway?"
"How should I know, we haven't spoken in years."
"Because of her?"
"Part of it. She broke up with him and broke his heart that I never thought he had. She was always my best friend, that's how they met actually, but we just recently got together. Fucked in the back of a van and she was officially mine."
"You're cold, brother. You didn't even have to tell me she was seeing someone else."
"Fuck we both were. But all this sexual tension just kept on piling up and the next day we dumped our people so it wasn't that bad." Haiti nodded. "So who's been yours lately?"
"Was seeing this girl lately. Said she found herself a vampire and wanted to get used to being bitten so I took her under my wing. Fucked her a few times," he shrugged and Stefan squeezed the unbreakable glass. "That was it."
"You just let her go?"
"I didn't want her. Shit, she wasn't my type. Pretty girl but looks only get you but so far. Besides, she had a man and though I'm big and bad around here, I ain't like you."
He chuckled. "I got to be honest with you, Hate."
"What?"
"I was the boyfriend. Gabi, right? She couldn't exactly handle the vampire situation so I guess she came here. Anyway you know the story, I broke up with her then this evening she comes banging on my door screaming my name. I get the door and she falls face first onto my floor all scratched up. Do you have any idea who did that to her?"
"Wasn't me, man. Not my style. I don't abuse my woman."
"Then who does?"
Gabi narrowed her eyes looking between the two then smiled some at Damon's lingering looks. Chuckling some at how Bonnie was doing everything in her power to not look at him back.
"So how come I haven't heard about you, Damon?"
"Ask Bonnie."
Gabi turned her head to the accused as she shook her head. "Maybe because you're such a dickhead,"
"A dickhead that you loved at one point if I remember correctly."
"I knew it. I knew something was between you too."
"We had good times, right, Bon?"
"You can say that,"
"Bon was so much more fun when she was with me. We were show stoppers. Remember?"
She couldn't stop her smile. "I almost failed my classes because of him." They smiled. "He would always sneak in my apartment and literally drag me out of bed to go to a party or something."
"I had to shake her a few times, but she was always up for it. Always the life of the party." They smiled at each other.
Gabi smiled coming up with an idea. "Well can you call me when Stefan gets back, I should thank him personally. I just need to stop at home, but I'll be back."
"Bye,"
"I'm gonna get me a drink. You want one?"
She turned to him biting her lip.
Stefan stopped by Bonnie's to shower after his kill of a new vampire named Lee. By the looks of it, he deserved to be killed, didn't show the slightest hint of remorse for what he did, and even if he did, that wouldn't have changed his fate.
He opened his door pausing seeing not only Damon but him and Bonnie a little too close for comfort with drinks in their hands. "What's going on here?"
They turned. "Stefan," Bonnie stood. "Did you find him?"
"What are you doing here, Damon?"
"Bonnie called. She needed my help."
He walked over to her and pulled her close making out with her. Damon rolled his eyes looking away.
"Where's Gabi?"
"I'll call her, she had to be somewhere," she kissed left the brothers alone.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?"
"Like I said. Bonnie called me, told me I needed to be her knight and shining armor, so I came to her rescue. Fed the girl my blood."
"Why are you still here?"
"Bonnie didn't ask me to leave. I figured I was welcomed."
"Well since this is my house, you can leave now."
He chuckled. "You feeling threatened, brother?"
"Gabi said she's-" Bonnie paused seeing them toe to toe, "she's on her way." She continued down the stairs and the brothers never moved away. "Babe," she had to wait a few seconds before he looked over at her. "Let's wait in the kitchen." She walked up to him grabbing his arm and tugged him a little before he started walking. "Stefan,"
"You had to bring him here,"
"I did, actually. You were so focused on finding this guy that you skipped out on me when I was trying to tell you to save her. I had no other choice."
He sighed closing his eyes. "I'm sorry. Come here," he reached out his hands and closed them as she stepped between them. "I love you."
"I love you too." She hugged him tighter as he kissed her head.
They broke away hearing the doorbell and once Damon opened it, Gabi ran into Stefan's arms forcing Bonnie to look away discreetly. She thanked him repeatedly and kissed his cheek. Damon looked over at her frowning some coming to terms with the situation. Gabi is the ex-girlfriend of his baby bro. Freshly ex-girlfriend by how she's acting.
"I think this calls for champagne," Damon broke the silence. "Bonnie?" She turned, heading back into the kitchen and he followed after her. "I'm sorry,"
"For what?"
"My brother. That scene."
"It doesn't matter. It's not like it means anything."
"Hey," he turned her head so she would face him. "Come here," he pulled her in hugging her tightly. "I know that you try your best to hate me, but if today doesn't prove it, I'm here for you always, babe."
She nodded. "I know," she moved away grabbing the glasses as Damon crabbed the drink. They walked out together sitting on the couch across from the two. Bonnie put on a smile seeing the two sit so close together but she was no longer able to fake it once she looked down.
Stefan narrowed his eyes at the look on his girlfriend's face then looked down before quickly removing his fingers from Gabi's. Bonnie exhaled holding in her tears getting up. "I need to meet my dad, I'll see you all later."
"Bonnie-" Stefan got up following after her. "Babe-"
"Don't. Talk to me."
"I was just-"
"I kissed Damon." His emotion left him. "He grabbed me and kissed me and I kissed him back. I pushed him away, but I kissed him back." She got in her car driving off.
He stood there frozen.
"I think it's best if I leave." Damon voiced from the threshold then walked down the pathway getting into his car driving off.
…
Bonnie took a deep breath before knocking on his door. She wanted to apologize because she knew she hurt him and that's what she wanted to do at the time, but now she regrets it. The look on his face haunted her in her dreams. "Stefan, please open the door. I want to talk to you." She knocked some more then decided to sit on the porch steps to wait.
After waiting close to an hour, she was ready to leave but heard the door open.
"You have a key, idiot."
She smiled then turned to him standing up. "I didn't want to just walk in while you're mad at me."
"What do you want?"
"I want to apologize. I wanted to tell you about Damon, but not in the way I did it. I did it to hurt you and I shouldn't have done that and I'm sorry."
"I can never stay mad at you, babe. I deserved it, the way I was acting with Gabi, I made it seem like we didn't exist and though I didn't intentionally mean to hurt you, I still did and I'm sorry. I love you."
"I love you too." She walked up to him and stood on her toes meeting their lips ashes arms moved around her body kissing her back.
She smiled as he lifted her in his arms carrying her inside and up the stairs.
…
Bonnie kissed him twice wrapping her arms around his neck. "You're seriously not mad at me, baby?" She pouted.
He hugged her close. "Of course." He kissed her. "As I said, I can never stay mad at you." He kissed her, flipping them.
She smiled as he gazed into her eyes with her doing such back to him. He sighed before moving his hand to caress the side of her face. "I was thinking that we take us a little more public. People are already talking especially after the rose bush photos."
"So what do we do next?"
He smiled then kissed her lips. "We get someone to take a staged candid of us."
"I'll ask Caroline,"
"Perfect." He met their lips again holding contact. "I missed you. I mean damn, it's only been a day, but I missed you."
She watched his face transform and giggled as he growled. "My man, always so demanding."
"I'll ask nicely. Can I please drink your love then fuck your brains out?"
"You never have to ask."
He growled again leaning in.
…
Bonnie emerged from the bathroom dressed in her bikini fixing her hair a little then covered her ears at Stefan's loud whistle. "Ouch,"
"Damn, babe, I have to applaud myself for only looking at you as a friend all those times we'd hang at the beach."
"Oh, you mean those times where you would stare at my ass and boobs and twice when you actually grabbed my ass?"
"It could've been a lot worse." She chuckled then slipped her hands through her sheer robe. "Don't act like you weren't a Staring Suzie yourself."
"You have great abs. It's not like I stared at your back dimples or your plump ass." She smacked him there before he blocked it with his hands.
"You play too much,"
She laughed then went to smack again but he dodged her this time scurrying out the room.
…
Stefan backed her against the leg of the lifeguard post kissing her deeply. They were supposed to be out in the open not really posing for candid photos, but instead, he wanted some alone time. He growled lifting her legs around his waist kissing her deeper as her arms moved around him.
"If we continue, I want to get a room."
"Let's get a room." He said against her lips kissing her again.
"Too bad we can't. This is our party."
"And?"
"Stef."
"Fine, fine." He sighed. "You are just so. Fucking. Sexy." He kissed along her neck.
"Do you think these photos will be too much for the internet?"
Their heads snapped to the fight seeing Caroline holding her camera with a slight smile before walking away. The couple turned to each other then shrugged before following after her going back to the party.
Bonnie sat up under her umbrella smiling at her friends playing in the ocean and she would be with them if she wasn't starving and waiting for Stefan to bring her some food. She smiled feeling his hands massage her shoulders causing her to close her eyes and exhale through her nose.
"You're so tense, babe."
Her face dropped. "Go away."
"You didn't want me to before. You loved it."
"Loved. Past tense. Now go before Stefan comes."
He sighed moving to sit beside her. "I'll leave but first I need you to tell me something."
"Okay,"
"What you and my brother have going on, is it real? Genuine?"
"Why do you ask that?"
"I'm just saying because I see Caroline focused photo snapping,"
"Well, your brother is a model so he wants some semi-professional shot for when we go public."
"And how do you feel about that?"
"I don't care, honestly. Now go away."
"Can't too late."
She narrowed her eyes before stiffening seeing Stefan sit next to her. He didn't say anything besides handing her the food he got. Bonnie felt very uncomfortable sitting between the two with both showing no signs of moving soon. She caught eyes with Caroline signaling for her to help but she telepathically sent her a big ole NOPE then went back as if she didn't see anything.
"You want some?" She offered Stefan but he just shook his head facing forward.
"I'll take a fry," Damon reached for one before plopping it in his mouth.
She placed her head on his shoulder and was relieved when he moved his arm to wrap around her then kissed her head. She closed her eyes at the silence in the comfort of his arms.
"Do you mind, Damon?"
"No, I don't mind." He looked over at his brother who rolled his eyes.
"Come on, babe, I'll buy you something else later." He stood taking her hand taking them to the water.
Bonnie hopped on his back hoping to get him to smile which she saw it did when she kissed his cheek. She screamed as he dived into the water keeping her on his back.
"Babe, I didn't want to wet my hair," she pouted.
He kissed her, holding her close. "I'm sorry," he flicked her nose with his before connecting their lips again.
Caroline handed the camera over to Elena and walked beside the couple then learned to throw up as Elena took the photo chuckling. They switched positions but Elena turned, hugging herself making out with the air. Caroline laughed taking the photo. She joined her side again and they laughed together looking at the photos.
"What's so funny?" Bonnie walked towards them.
Caroline held the camera away, "Nothing."
She narrowed her eyes but got over it.
…
Bonnie laughed looking at the photos her friends posted on Instagram shaking her head. She got an alert again seeing that Stefan had posted something and tagged her in it. She clicked on it and smiled seeing about a week-old selfie of them. She should be angry at him because she remembers telling him that she hated that photo because her eyes were squinted mid-blink and her smile was awkward. She told him to delete it but he told her that she looked pretty and kept it.
He captioned it with "My heart" and it made hers melt.
I love you but I hate this photo, you know that. Paybacks a bitch…
She grabbed a throwback photo of them in her dorm in college. He was shirtless leaning on the foot of her bed in sweatpants. His tips were dyed blonde and he was sucking on a lollipop. "My boyfriend, y'all" she captioned it with and tagged him.
You're so dead. I'm coming over.
She chuckled at his comment the others followed with laughing emojis along with their words about them getting together. She closed the app and got up from her bed to shower and wash her hair. By the time she stepped out, Stefan was walking in.
"You scared me for a sec,"
He chuckled. "Sorry, babe," he walked over to her kissing her a few times. "You excited about your shoot tomorrow?"
"Excited yet nervous."
"I uh… I'm sorry, Bonnie, I can't exactly be there."
She frowned. "Why?"
"I have a few meetings I can't get out of. But I'll do my best to check up on you, okay?" She nodded. "Come here," he pulled her close to his body exhaling when she held him back. "You're my baby and I love you so much."
"I love you so much too."
…
Bonnie smiled watching him not really pay attention to whatever meeting he was in. He decided to facetime her to sneak peeks every now and then at her as she got ready. He had his Bluetooth in his ear so he could hear her. She shook her head that even with his phone on his lap looking up at him, he still managed to be the sexiest man alive.
"Baby, look really quick,"
His eyes shifted down and lifted his phone a little seeing the screen trail down her body in an open robe. He bit the insides of his cheeks as it stopped below her navel then cleared his throat. Bonnie smiled and moved her phone back up to her face and winked at him. He placed his hand on the side of his face. "You're so fucking sexy." He mumbled.
"Let's put these clothes on, Bon."
"Okay. I gotta go, babe." She ended the call then got up walking over to the rack.
After getting dressed in firstly a simple black slip that displayed half of her back. Her hair was parted in the middle slicked back in a ponytail. She at first thought that she would be posing by herself until a door opened and a man walked through dressed in a suit. She couldn't stop her eyebrow raise as he stepped into the light. He looked basically like Stefan. Only a little darker and he had a little hair on his face. He smiled when their eyes met and she noticed his perfectly straight pearly white teeth.
"Hi. I'm Kyrie."
Shit. he has a deep voice too. "Bonnie. nice to meet you."
She shook his hand smiling back. He moved his hand away only to place it on her back causing her in front of the white backdrop. She gasped as he pulled her in closer and grabbed the side of her face like he was about to kiss her.
Stefan got out a little earlier than he thought so he decided to stop by Bonnie's photoshoot as a surprise. He smiled seeing her look over the photos and started walking towards her but halted when another man stood beside her and placed his hand on her back rubbing her there a few times before just keeping it where it was. He watched as they turned to each other smiling before he whispered something in her ear.
He was just going to turn around and leave but decided to call out her name. She turned, looking a little confused before she smiled and hurried up to him hugging him. Stefan kept his eyes on the man as he watched them. He shifted his eyes down when she pulled away and leaned in to kiss her grabbing her ass as her arms circled around his neck.
"I thought you were stuck in meetings?" She kissed his neck.
"They weren't as long as I thought. So I thought that I surprise you."
"I'm glad you came, come on,"
"Wait, why don't you introduce me to your friend over there."
Bonnie turned, spotting Kyrie then looked back at her boyfriend. "Okay," she took his hand taking him over, and introduced the two. They shook hands.
"You look familiar,"
"I've been in a few magazines but nothing too big. Who's your manager?"
"LeAnn,"
"No shit, same here. That's probably why then." He nodded. "Anyway, I was just surprising my girl on set," he looked down at her smiling some when she did. "Come on, babe, nice meeting you man,"
He nodded then watch the two walk to a private room.
"He's sexy,"
Bonnie rolled her eyes. "Shut up."
"You don't think so, babe?"
"Well when I first saw him I thought of you, so," she smiled.
"So sexy?"
"No. handsome." She sat in his lap. "You're the sexy one." She kissed him
"Speaking of sexy," he looked her over.
"They said I could keep it." She smiled then bit her bottom lips as his hands ran up her ass.
"Let me take a picture of you," he reached in his back pocket for his cellphone. Bonnie stood and back away a little before posing as he snapped a pic. "So beautiful."
She smiled then kissed him. They turned hearing knocks on the door before it opened seeing the stylist walkthrough, telling Bonnie that it was time for an outfit change. Stefan then received a call and told her to go change and he'll meet her out. She nodded then kissed him before following.
He listened to her breathing as she slept on his chest. She was mainly peaceful with twitches every now and then and rarely small mummers. He would run his hand along her back which would cause her to snuggle her head against him and exhale. He's always found her breathing calming, even when she isn't sleeping.
"What time is it?"
"Around five-thirty?"
"I need to get up," she sat up with an exhale moving her hands to her face.
"You sure you don't want to lay down for ten more minutes?"
"Yeah," she stretched. "I'm pretty hungry anyway." She forced herself out of bed.
Stefan followed behind her then wrapped his arms around her purring in her ear. She smiled biting down on her lower lip as he rubbed his head against hers.
"I keep forgetting you're an animal."
"I need extra attention." He nibbled on her ear.
"I promise I'll pet you tonight," she turned to him then kissed him.
He kisses her back moaning some then turned her in his arms. He reached in her pocket hearing it vibrate then held it up as he looked at the contact, still kissing her. He pulled away then answered causing her to narrow her eyes.
"Hello?"
"Who is that?" She whispered.
"She's not available right now… Yeah. Whatever, bye."
"Who was it?" She asked again.
"Your ex."
"Oh," she let out a breath. "I'm gonna go make me some food." She walked towards the kitchen.
"Why is he calling you?" He followed after her.
"I don't know, Stefan, I didn't exactly get the chance to talk to him."
"You know what I mean."
"And I said I don't know, Stefan. Let it go."
He humorlessly chuckled with his hands on his hips. "Alright fine, I will let it go." He walked away.
"Good." She rolled her eyes reaching in the refrigerator to grab the things she needed for a sandwich.
She sat in the living room and turned on the television as she ate hating that Stefan was constantly on her mind. She sat her plate down then went upstairs into their room hearing the shower run. She left then came back up once her meal was finished. She saw him laying on the bed reading a book so she walked over to him and straddled his lap.
"Babe," she sighed as he kept reading. "Baby," she tried to lift the book from his hold but he was too strong. So she decided to dip her head under to book to face him. "You can't really be mad at me,"
He just stared at her.
"It's not like I asked him to call. Or that we were even engaging in a conversation. I don't know what he wanted, okay?"
"I said I forgot about it."
"You obviously haven't." She sat up causing him to hold the book in one hand but it wasn't long before she snatched it out of his hold.
She grabbed his hands and moved them to her thighs.
"What are you doing?" He asked then sucked in a breath as she rocked her hips into him.
"Proving to you that I only want you."
He watched her as she removed her shirt. He sat up and met their lips turning her to her back.
…
Bonnie was shocked as she walked hand in hand with Stefan as three paparazzi snapped their pictures. One would call out their names while the other two just flashed away. Bonnie looked up at her boyfriend who was wearing sunglasses and tugged on his arm to gain his attention. He looked down at her lifting the shades from his face with his free hand. "Had this happened to you before?"
"Not this directly, but yeah."
"You never told me,"
"Sorry, babe, I wasn't sure if you would've like to know or not."
"I'm not mad I'm just a little shocked."
"I get it," he leaned in and kissed her once.
A little after that the paparazzi left the two alone. "Now come here," he pulled her against his chest and she smiled wrapping her arms around his neck. "That comes with the territory."
She chuckled, "Shut up,"
He kisses her, "I love you."
"I love you more." She kissed him back.
"Guess what,"
"What?"
"I know it's super last minute, but I have a red carpet event tonight and I was wondering if you'll let me take Sophie Durham as my date,"
Her smile faded. "Wait, what?"
"We have this campaign together and my manager wants us to go together."
"Uh, I guess so,"
"You sure?"
"I'm sure. Have fun, send me pictures." She narrowed her eyes seeing him smile. "What?"
"I'm totally fucking with you." He laughed when she punched his arm. "But seriously I have to take her but I'm taking you too. We'll do some photos together then I'll do some with her." He chuckled. "Okay?"
"Okay, jerk."
He laughed some then took her hand again continuing their walk.
After trying on many dresses, she finally found the one just in time for hair and makeup. A robe covered her body to catch any possible fallout and she would give Stefan looks as he would either record her or take pictures of her. Once she was set and done he captured them both as they stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling-length mirror then they headed out to their town car.
"Damn,"
"What?"
"I meant to make out with you before the makeup." She chuckled then kissed him once on the lips. "Not enough," he complained.
"I'm sorry, after the picture stuff,"
"Promise?"
She nodded and kissed him again stopping her mouth from opening to his. They arrived shortly and Stefan did as he told her. They waited their turn then all Bonnie could see were flashing lights but she tried her best to not look too out of place. Stefan kissed her for five seconds before she let him pose separately. LeAnn then stood with her as Stefan and Sophie posed together then they walked into the event. Stefan introduced them and Bonnie was glad at the fact that she didn't seem like a complete bitch.
Throughout the night her perception of her slightly shifted at how she would kiss his cheek and whisper in his ear and wrap her arms around his but she trained her brain to believe that it was all for the cameras. And boy can she play for those cameras. If Stefan hadn't kissed her on the carpet, she's sure rumors would be floating around that they're dating and she wouldn't be surprised if it's happening even with the kiss. She sighed then decided to walk away as they got interviewed near their campaign poster. She went to the bar and got herself a drink.
"Hey,"
She turned around then smiled coming faced with a handsome fellow. "Hey,"
"I'm Ryan."
"Bonnie, nice to meet you."
"I haven't seen you around before, are you new to this whole thing?"
"You can say that. I mean I've done a couple of things but I'm not so sure if I want to make it a career, especially since I have a business of my own."
"Oh really, what is it?"
"It's a publishing company called Bennett Star."
"I've heard of that before,"
"You're such a liar."
They laughed some and a photographer chose that moment to capture them.
"Alright, I'm lying but I'll be sure to check it out. Maybe I'll write a book and come to you." She smiled looking into his eyes and he smiled back. "Can I uh get your num—"
"Hey, babe, there you are," She looked over, seeing Stefan now beside her. "What's up, man,"
"What's up. Congrats on the campaign."
"Thanks."
"It was nice talking to you, Bonnie,"
"You too," she watched him leave. "How'd the interview go?" She asked turning to him.
"Uh, pretty good. What was uh, what's were you two talking about?"
"Nothing really, we were just introducing ourselves." She shrugged. "It didn't go much further than that."
He nodded. "Okay, well uh, let's get our seats."
She nodded taking his hand as he led the way.
…
Bonnie stretched after stepping out of the shower then checked her phone smiling at all the follows and mentions and tags that's she's getting on Twitter and Instagram. She stepped out walking straight towards the bed and joined Stefan lifting his arm so it could wrap around her.
"I didn't want to say anything but I just- I didn't like the whole Ryan thing."
"I didn't mean to do anything wrong,"
"I know, I just- I thought you would kind of just stick by me tonight."
"I tried but it was kind of hard with Sophie all over you."
He sighed. "Okay, forget I said anything."
"But you understand what I mean, right? I didn't want to seem like a desperate girlfriend and hold your left arm as she held your right. I mean I get it, I got it so I just let you two have your moment. It wasn't about me anyway,"
She exhaled at the silence then decided to close her eyes.
Bonnie woke up to the sound of her alarm and groaned reaching for her phone to turn it off. She wiped her eyes as she scrolled through her social media pages and smiled seeing the photos of her and Stefan together. She sighed then locked it before carefully getting up from bed and walking into the bathroom.
As she was filling in her eyebrows, Stefan walked up behind her wrapping her in his arms. She smiled as he kissed her cheek then rested his chin on her left shoulder. "You know I love you,"
"I know,"
"I'm sorry."
"You don't have to apologize."
"Do you have time for breakfast?"
"No, I chose to sleep in a little later. I'll stop by McDonald's or something."
"I may not be able to talk much today, I have a few auditions and a shoot."
"Okay, good luck."
"Can I get a kiss?"
She turned in his arms and smiled as he sat her on the countertop then met their lips. She moaned as his tongue touched hers and pulled him in closer. His hands moved up her thighs and she didn't protest when he carried her back into the bedroom.
She rolled her eyes at her teasing employees as they told her good she looked on the carpet with Stefan. "It's good for the brand," she told them and made them get back to actual meeting stuff. An hour later as she was eating lunch her phone rang and was not as surprised as she assumed she'd be when Ryan was on the other line.
"I figured that I'd hopefully reach you at work since I didn't get the chance to get your number last night."
"How'd you know I'd be at work? I am the owner, I could just chill at home."
He smiled. "You don't seem like the type. You seem more hands-on."
"Look at you figuring me out."
He chuckled. "Anyway, I was wondering if you'd like to hang out sometime. You know, as friends,"
She smiled. "I would say yes, but Stefan would kill me. Is there bad blood between you two?"
"Not that I know of. I may have hijacked a shoot or two but it's all part of the business."
She sighed. "Too bad."
"Come on, Bonnie, just once for lunch or something."
"I'll think about it."
"What's your cell number?" She gave it to him. "I'll text you and we'll figure something out."
"Okay,"
"Bye."
"Bye," she hung up.
Bonnie closed her eyes biting on her lower lip but then shook it off. This was wrong, she's with Stefan and if the roles were reversed she'd dump him in a heartbeat. So she planned to keep pushing the outing off until he got the message then she'll be able to go back to her becoming not so normal life. She looked down getting a text from Stefan, "I'm gonna be late tonight. I'll make it up to you," it read.
"It's okay, I love you," she recorded her text back then logged into her computer.
She smiled looking at the mirror selfie he posted of them five minutes ago. Her slightly in front of him with her leg out of the high slit of her dress. Him standing a quarter behind her with his hand on her hip as the other took the photo. Their faces were serious but the modeling type serious. She reposted it adding to the caption how proud she is of him. She noticed a new follower and she clicked on it seeing that it was Ryan. She cursed under her breath but then took this as a good thing. He'd now see that she's fully committed to Stefan and maybe then he'll back off. She looked through his page for a little before going to make dinner.
When Stefan told her that he'd be late, she didn't think he meant this late. She finished cooking then took her plate to the living room to watch some TV. She sighed taking out her phone and texted Stefan that she misses him before eating.
"Baby?" He softly whispered. "Baaaby," he shook gently.
Bonnie stirred waking up on the couch then wiped her eyes. "Stefan?"
"It's me, come on," he took her hand. "I need you up a little, okay?" She nodded walking behind him upstairs. She yawned but then found herself a little more awake as they entered the bedroom. He sat her on the bed then kneeled in front of her. "Can I um, drink your love?"
She smiled at how he would word it then nodded closing her eyes as he kissed her.
"I'm sorry I was so late today, baby, I missed you too." He spoke against her neck then shortly pinched her with his fangs. She relaxed as he drank from her. She could tell just how hungry he was but the amount he took but didn't comment on it as he gave her his wrist to drink from. She moaned as he licked the blood from her neck and watched him lick his fangs clean and she wiped the blood off her lip with her thumb before sticking it in her mouth. She smiled hearing him groan and how he wouldn't turn back just yet.
"You want more of me?" She grabbed his hair.
"I do, but you're tired."
"Wake me up then." She challenged licked his fangs piercing her tongue.
"Fuck," he moved in kissing her deeply managing to pull the shorts down her legs.
She rolled on top of him pinning his hands up above his head and he growled as she pulled on his bottom lip. He watched her undo the zipper of his pants before tugging them down his legs followed by his boxers.
"All that for me?" She purred climbing back on top of him.
"All for you." He grabbed her hair as he kissed her then groaned feeling her stroke.
She rode him shortly rhythmically with his hands switching from her hips and ass constantly. Feeling her release near she pulled him up to her neck and he drank from her as she came. He turned her to her back taking her slow until he was sated.
…
Bonnie woke up and smiled seeing his eyes on her. He kissed her once moving his hand to the side of her face. She pulled the covers closer interlocking their legs. Stefan kissed her once for a few seconds then held her close to his chest. Her leg went around his waist and hugged him close.
"You looked to be having good dreams last night. You were smiling."
"It's kind of a long story but my parents and I were in this fancy hotel and we were waiting for an elevator and there were at least fifteen of them in this hallway," he chuckled. "So we hear a ding and we're looking around rushing to the elevator and my mom is the only one to succeed getting on and my dad and I just burst out laughing. We hit the button again and since we're laughing, we missed it which caused us to laugh even more." She chuckled as did he. "Then my dad gets on and I was so close behind him and a lady on the elevator started laughing because we both were. Then I just end up on the floor laughing so hard."
He smiled running his hand down her hair. "You're silly,"
She chuckled running her hand along the length of his bare back. "Do you have dreams?" She lifted her head some to look at him.
"Yes and no. They're more flashbacks than anything. Of when I was human."
"Any good ones?"
"There's some here and there but only when I was a little kid. Playing with Damon and my mom before she got sick."
"How were you as a kid?"
"I was a punk."
Bonnie laughed. "So you were a sweet little boy," she kissed him. "Aww,"
"Stop."
"My baby was so, so sweet and kind and pure. He said please and thank you all the time and respected his elders." She laughed when he flipped her on her back with him above her.
"Those were the dark days." He smiled as she did and their lips met twice in a kiss.
"If we could have a baby I'd hope he or she would be like you. I was a little bratty but I blame it on being spoiled rotten."
"If we have a baby, they will be spoiled rotten regardless so we'd be out of luck, let's face it." She chuckled. "I know you have to get ready for work," he shifted to get off but she stopped him.
"Actually, I want to spend the day with my boyfriend."
"Yeah?" He watched her face as she nodded. "Wow, okay,"
She chuckled. "Don't sound so surprised."
"I can't help it, you're ditching your baby for me, that's an honor." She rolled her eyes but smiled. "I'm a bit busy today so if you want to swap it out for another time-"
"No, I want to see you in action."
"Okay well, nothing really starts until around one so let's shower and then go out for breakfast, and then our day will be hell afterward."
She smiled. "I'm all in."
…
"Stefan, babe," she shielded her face from the camera on his phone.
"The SalvaBabes and Bros love it when I post constantly."
She gasped. "Your fans have a name for themselves now?"
"I don't like the term "fans", I say they're more like my supporters, my family." Bonnie laughed making him smile. "But seriously they actually like you."
"Really?" He nodded. "That may be true but I'm sure the SalvaBabes would like to see more of your face than mine and as a fangirl myself, I know I'm right."
"Fine." She chuckled then watched him take a selfie before sighing and typing something.
She squinted her eyes then went to his Instagram page and clicked on his story skipping through the ones of her before she got to the one he just took. "Really, Stefan?"
"What?"
She turned the phone to him. "When your girlfriend starts bothering you, you jerk." She hit his arm making him laugh. "How can I bother you when you're the one sticking the camera in my face?"
"It's possible."
"You're digging yourself a hole, Stef. Be careful."
Their driver chuckled.
"Baby, come on, I was joking," he grabbed her arm and kissed the back of her hand. "I'm sorry,"
"Whatever."
He sighed dramatically and shortly they reached their first stop of the day. Bonnie got out of the car walking straight inside but Stefan stopped her by wrapping her in his arms and kissing her neck and cheek repeatedly until she couldn't hold in her laugh anymore.
"I hate you," she pushed him off.
He pulled her in kissing her, holding her head in place. He then moved his hands down her back once she gave in and squeezed one of his favorite parts of her turning his head to the left.
"You're still a jerk."
"You love me anyway, come on," he took her hand leading them inside.
Bonnie sat on a chair in the back of the room as he got hair and makeup ready. She got a little hot so she took off her jacket having her strapless heart neckline crop top cover her upper half not counting the hair on her shoulders.
"How hot is my girlfriend?" She heard Stefan ask.
"I'm melting in here," she responded looking at him through the mirror.
He chuckled and she looked down at her phone seeing that she got a text. It was from Ryan and she tried to keep her face as relaxed as she could knowing that Stefan was more than likely looking.
-Hey
-Hey, what's up?
-Nothing much, I don't have a packed day today. What about you?
-I would say the same but I'm actually tagging along with Stefan today and his afternoon is filled so yay me.
-Ha, well I guess lunch today is a no-go?
-Sorry but yes, no go.
-I'll try again tomorrow.
-Have fun trying ;)
-I like a challenge.
She chose to end the conversation there then deleted the whole thing. She hated that she had to hide something from Stefan but it was for his own good. She started to think that if she gets this whole lunch deal over with then maybe he'll stop pursuing her. That or he'd come to like her even more and she'd make things worse. Sighing, she decided to text her right-hand man Hector to see how the fort was holding down. The thumbs-up emoji wasn't very convincing but she decided to let it go.
"You coming, babe?"
"I'm right behind you,"
He nodded walking out the room and she was a few feet behind him. She stood by the computer watching him pose and having the pictures show up on the screen. He was modeling suits and she hated it because she wanted to pounce.
She lost count of how many he changed into but she was exhausted just watching him. She went back in the dressing room to grab a quick snack, glad that Stefan convinced her to eat a big breakfast or else she'd be more than starving by now. She walked out and took her place again by the monitors. She asked permission to take a photo of one of the pictures and smiled when it was granted. She'd figure that she would give his SalvaBabes a BTS treat.
"That's a wrap,"
She stopped herself from jumping for joy and followed him and stopped him from taking the tie off, "Wait, you look so sexy," she kissed him. He kissed her back moving his arms around her, touching the skin of her back. "I can't wait until we get married."
He smiled and kissed her again before she pulled away letting him change.
As Stefan was napping with his head rested on her lap she got an alert from Google because something Stefan Salvatore related has been posted. She wanted to keep up with his campaigns and such so one day she decided to have Google send her alerts every time something about her boyfriend was uploaded. She found this one particularly interesting because it was a video at the campaign party and the title read "Stefan Salvatore opens up about His Love Life" she clicked on it and watched pictures and a five second video of them on the carpet together as the anchor gave a little background before it went to the night of the event.
"I see you bought a date tonight," the interviewer teased.
He smiled. "Yeah, my beautiful, amazing girlfriend," he looked around trying to spot her.
"I know people like their privacy, but can you tell us a little about you two, maybe how you came together or?"
"Yeah, Bonnie is one of my best friends, my best-est friend out of my best friends and we were kind of struggling with the idea of us getting together for that reason. I was sexually attracted to her and she was sexually attracted to me, that's what I tell myself anyway,"
"Of course she was, she is!"
"Eh, it comes and goes," he smiled as the interviewer laughed. "But yeah then we started working together and that just brought us closer than ever. Uh, we took some time to think about things separately and when we got together it was clear that we wanted to be together." The video cut, "Like I said before she's my best friend so if god forbid a day comes where we don't want to continue our sexual relationship if you will, we promised each other that we'd still be best friends and have love for each other. I know that's what a lot of people say but I will try like hell to make sure that we stay friends and um, yeah, that's all I can say for right now. We're in love," he shrugged and laughed a little.
Bonnie smiled then held her phone close to her heart.
…
She watching him lovingly through the mirror and his eyes lifted up meeting hers before they narrowed slightly. She mouthed an I love you and he smiled mouthing one back.
After that shoot, they had time for a meal so they ate together on the floor of the dressing room. "I saw the video about you talking about us," she admitted. "It was really cute and sweet."
"I kind of didn't want to say anything but I thought you'd be OK with it."
She nodded. "FYI, I'll try like hell to stay your best friend too."
He smiled then leaned in kissing her a few times. She smiled against his lips straddling his lap.
"I'm so proud of you, babe." She hugged him close. "I never really realized how hard you worked and I'm glad that I tagged along today so I would be able to see that. You deserve every good thing that comes your way, honestly."
"Thank you. You're the only good thing I need." He kissed her pulling the zipper of her crop-top down and placed it to the side.
He held her close then pulled away to help her take his shirt off stood up carrying her over to the couch. She stood taking her pants off as did he then climbed back on his lap moaning as they kissed again. He growled at her steady pace then stared at her in awe as she pulled away and bounced quicker on him. "Look at me." He touched the side of her face causing her to open her eyes and stare him down. His eyes trailed her face and chest before meeting their eyes again and kissed her gently.
"What are you thinking about?" She asked against his lips.
"I want you to marry me."
She stopped her movement and grabbed his face. "What?"
"I'm not asking you while we're like this, but be prepared."
She smiled and kissed him as he moved her to her back.
…
Bonnie was having the quickest three-way conversation that she's ever had between Caroline and Elena and it was all because of what Stefan told her yesterday. He told her to be prepared for a proposal. A proposal! She was freaking out in need of guidance. He was napping on her ass as Spongebob played so she wasn't afraid to be animated.
If he asks for help for a ring, this is what I want or something very close.
Bonnie attached a photo.
Okay but if he asks we won't tell you when so it'll still be a surprise. Caroline texted.
What if he already has a ring? A family heirloom or something like that? Elena wondered.
That's special but at the same time I hope not you know. Well, I guess it depends on how it looks.
Wow I'm starting to sound like a materialistic bitch.
It's okay, under the circumstances you can be.
Holy fuck I can't believe that I'm getting engaged to Stefan! I mean we've talked about it but now that it's actually happening it's I don't know surprising?
Yeah more like reality is hitting you and it's a little shocking.
Fuck I love him so much.
I'm so happy for you
You two are everything *heart emoji*
Where's he now?
Taking a nap.
Bonnie turned to the camera and took a picture.
BARF. You two are too cute it's killing me.
I need to do squats.
HA!
Bonnie laughed some.
But thank you both for being happy for me. I love you.
We love you, of course, we'd be happy for you!
We love you so much!
Shit I have to go the beast is waking up.
We'll talk later!
Bye!
Bonnie smiled and locked her phone before laying on her folded hands paying attention to the TV as Stefan stretched. He laid back down then turned his head to kiss her before resting again. Bonnie chuckled.
"Good sleep?"
"The best. Thanks,"
"Mhm. Are you hungry?"
"For you? Always."
"Come here,"
He sat up. "Yeah?"
She nodded then laughed as he quickly crawled up to her. "Ask nicely,"
"Can I please drink your love?"
"Yes you may," she smiled as he kissed her then closed her eyes as his fangs pierced her neck.
He pulled away taking deep breaths and locked his lower lip clean before meeting their lips. "I love you."
"I love you more." She kissed him back.
"I'll make you something, what do you want?"
"I don't know,"
"Women." He shook his head.
She chuckled some but hit his arm. "Can we go out tonight?"
"Go out where?"
"To a club or something,"
"Okay. Just us two?"
She nodded. "I have a dress I want to show off."
"As long as it's appropriate,"
"It's a club, anythings appropriate beside the nude."
"I'm talking about boyfriend appropriate. Let me see this dress."
"It's at my house where the majority of my stuff is."
He sighed. "Why don't we just move in together," he sat up. "I mean we practically live together, we never sleep alone since we got together. It's either your house or mine but always together."
"Well my place is a little bigger so–"
"No like," he held her hands, "go house shopping and buy something together."
Her mouth dropped. "Wha- Stefan,"
"I have a real estate agent, she can show us around." He watched her eyes. "I love you, I think getting a house together is the right move for us right now."
"Stefan I mean- a house? That's huge," she exhaled in thought hoping that he would say something but he kept quiet waiting for her answer. "Can I think about it?"
"How about this, I set us up a couple of appointments, we look around, imagine ourselves together and if it doesn't feel right, no harm, no foul."
"Promise?"
"I promise." He kissed her. "I only want to do this with you so if you're not ready, I'll wait."
She smiled some and closed her eyes as he kissed her. He moved her to her back as he held her close. "I love you."
"I love you too."
He met their lips again kissing her deeper, turning his head to the left.
…
Bonnie regretted stopping for coffee seeing the back of his head. Luckily, he didn't turn around like a few others so she decided that if she kept quiet, she'd blend right in and there would be no way that he'd know she was here. He was a good amount ahead of her in line so by the time she orders he should be out the door. Taking a small breath, she pulled out her phone as her friends were on the whole moving situation now. They both wondered why she was so opposed to the idea when she's completely up for marriage. They would live together eventually so why not just get it over with. She explained that she was worried that the whole living together deal would break them more apart than bring them together. Stefan would forget about the whole proposal thing and they'd just fade out. She got reassurance from her friends that she's focusing on the worst thing possible when it should be the complete opposite. She sighed telling them that they were right then looked up from her phone almost dropping it seeing him standing right beside her.
"I was wondering how long you'd take to notice me. You seem to be having a serious discussion."
"Very serious." She locked her phone. "I didn't know you're from around here,"
"I'm not actually, I'm here for work." Bonnie nodded. "Do you have time to sit for coffee?"
Bonnie sighed in thought then figured that she mind as we'll get it over with. "Sure,"
He smiled. "Great, I'll go save us a seat."
She nodded watching him pick a spot then texted Frank telling him that she'd be in late today but she will show up. She ordered her vanilla bean frappe then joined Ryan at the table. He smiled as she sat down making her narrow her eyes.
"What?"
"Nothing, I'm just glad that we bumped into each other like this. How are things?"
"Uh pretty good, actually. I can't complain, what about you?"
"Great, yeah, I have a movie role."
"Oh, which movie?"
"You see if I tell you then I'll have to kill you so,"
She rolled her eyes making him laugh some. "I get it, we're not friends,"
"Hey, no guilt-tripping." She shrugged. "So besides running a successful publishing company, I hear you model here and there."
"I do, Stefan pushed me into it. He needed a model for a shoot he was doing so he volunteered me and I was opposed to it at first but once we got there and everything it was fun. I was nervous as hell, but it was fun. We did another one after that and I was a lot more comfortable, it seemed more natural."
He nodded. "I get it, I was the same way around Stefan." He smiled when she laughed. "No but seriously, it's kind of a passion but I really like acting."
"What about it do you like?"
"I know people say this all the time but it's so true; being able to jump into another life in another world doing things that you wouldn't do sometimes is crazy. I mean there's stunt doubles and sets, but at the end of the day, you feel like you really did climb a mountain or bungee jump or run across tops of buildings. It's exciting."
"I secretly always wanted to act but I'm scared that as soon as the director yells action, my lines will leave me and I'll just stand there frozen."
He laughed. "Start off small with one or two lines then work your way up,"
"Yeah I guess but I don't really see acting in my future right now. I have a lot on my plate."
"It's good to stay busy,"
"Yeah but I like the calm busy better."
"Is there a such thing?"
"Yeah you know, sitting at my desk having people run in and out asking for things, signing papers, reading emails. The calm busy,"
He chuckled. "I see,"
"Anyway," she exhaled. "Speaking of calm busy, I better get to work especially since I missed yesterday to be a supportive girlfriend." She stood.
"It was nice talking to you, Bonnie,"
"You too,"
"Maybe some other time I can take you out to dinner,"
"Don't push it," she playfully said then headed towards the exit.
Ryan smiled watching her leave before he sighed taking out his phone.
Bonnie walked into her office and couldn't stop her gasp. "Damon,"
"Hey,"
"What are you- what are you doing here?"
"I just figured that it was time that I see where you worked. Your employees are very nice, you know,"
She walked over to him pulling him up from her chair. "Thanks," she sat.
"And don't worry, I rearranged your schedule so that the afternoon is free."
"You what?"
"Bonnie, I miss you. And I know that you're over it since you dated since we split, but I miss you, okay and I want to hang out with you. I won't try to kiss you or hold your hand or anything, I just want to hang out with you."
She sighed. "Damon,"
"I'll get you home in time for you to take a nice lathery shower to rinse me away so when you see Stefan he won't suspect anything." She watched his eyes as he kneeled. "Please."
She closed her eyes bouncing her foot wanting to say no but she wanted this at the same time. "Okay,"
He smiled and moved hair behind her ear. "Good. Let's go," he moved towards the door and held it open. She took a few seconds to stand but shortly she was riding down on the elevator with Damon of all people.
…
She looked over at him as he sped down the empty road taping his fingers against the wheel to the tune. She smiled some then lightly shook her head looking forward again.
"Where are we going?"
"Somewhere where Stefan can't accidentally spot us or really anyone for that matter."
She narrowed her eyes but decided to let the suspense continue without asking for a follow-up.
Ten minutes later they were singing along with the radio still on that empty road. Bonnie threw her hands up and threw her head back before their heads met in the middle singing a line or two before he turned his attention toon back to the road. He smiled looking over at her and regretted this because he fell deeper in love with her. Two minutes later, he parked at the edge of the mountain and got out of the car to open her door.
"Wow," she stared over the edge.
"Don't get too close," he warned moving beside her.
"This is beautiful," she looked over at him and smiled when their eyes met. "Thank you."
"I know you well, don't mention it,"
She smiled again before looking out and ran her fingers through her hair as the wind blew.
"I'm such an idiot,"
"What?" She turned to him.
"Nothing, I was just wondering if you're cold."
"No, I'm good, thanks."
He nodded. "Come sit with me," he reached out for her hand but hesitated.
She chuckled. "It's okay," she grabbed his and followed him over to the car, and climbed on the hood.
"When was the last time we've done this?"
"Decades ago," she exaggerated. "I still slip off."
"Here," he grabbed her waist keeping her still. "I just- do you miss me?"
"Damon,"
"I know I sound like a girl, but is this really only one-sided?"
She watched his eyes before closing hers. "I- I do miss you, Damon. But I feel like our time is over. We got together when we were supposed to, I was younger and barely had responsibilities so I could go anywhere with you at any time basically but I can't do that now."
"You don't have to,"
"Damon you literally cleared out my entire afternoon so we could do this. I can't keep doing that, I have a business to run and clients and potential clients that need attention so they would become actual clients."
"Bonnie,"
"I do love you, Damon. I love how you made and make me feel, I love how you would do anything for me at any moment, but we won't work. Not now."
"If you weren't with my brother,"
"The facts are still the same. Would I be more lenient, sure, but in the end, the results would still be the same."
He sighed shaking his head some. "I love you too."
Bonnie moved her hand to the side of his face before pulling him in for a hug. "I'm sorry, Damon. I sometimes wish things were different."
"Me too."
She pulled away and closed her eyes as his lips met her cheek. "I want to kiss you so bad," he met their foreheads.
"I can't,"
"I know."
She opened her eyes. "Compel me to forget."
"What?"
"Kiss me for your closure and compel me to forget. I can hide this from Stefan, but that I can't. If it's something you need, I'll allow it this one time."
"If I kiss you, I want you to remember."
"Okay,"
He watched her. "But fuck it," he pulled her in meeting their lips in a slow kiss then grabbed her causing heat to flow within them. He kissed along her neck then met their lips again running his hand up her back. Their tongues slid against each other's before their lips met again and he had to pull away before he tore her clothes off. Bonnie breathed deeply as all the guilt hit her at once. Damon opened his eyes hearing her lowly cry then closed them again hoping that he wouldn't get that reaction. It is indeed truly over.
"I'm sorry." He held her until her tears went away.
They left shortly and he drove her back to the office. "Forget that any of this happened. Me showing up to your office, the mountain, the kiss. You're tired so you're going to go home, brush your teeth, mouthwash, and take a long shower before calling Stefan."
Bonnie blinked finding herself alone in the middle of the sidewalk. She was a little confused at first but figured it was just her tiredness and decided to go home.
Bonnie sat on her bed dressed in her robe as she called Stefan. She wasn't sure if he would pick up or not but smiled when he did.
"Hey, babe,"
"Hey, baby,"
"What's up?"
"Nothing, I just wanted to call you, see how you're doing."
"I'm great, you sound a little tired, how was your day?"
"You know, I honestly don't remember. I remember getting some Starbucks but after that, it's a blur so that's how my day was,"
He chuckled. "Yeah, I have days like that too sometimes."
"Are you home?"
"I'm not actually, well I am but I have to leave soon. I have a dinner,"
"Oh okay, well I'll see you tomorrow?"
"Yeah I mean I can swing by afterward."
"Yeah, but I'm saying I might be asleep by that time."
"Oh okay, I got you,"
"What's this dinner about?"
"It's with LeAnn so just calendar stuff. Potential jobs and whatnot."
"Okay well, I don't want to hold you back. I love you."
"I love you more, babe, I'll see you tonight though you might possibly see me tomorrow."
She chuckled. "Sounds like a plan. Bye."
"Bye, babe,"
They ended the call and Bonnie sighed heading downstairs to make dinner for one.
…
She smiled watching him sleep beside her with his arm around her. She ran her hand up his bicep and down repeatedly and closed her eyes moving in closer. She felt his arm tighten around her. "Baby?"
"Hm?"
"I want to live together. In a house and have a cat."
He chuckled. "I want that too, babe."
"And I know we can't have babies but I want to try at least every day."
"Deal."
She smiled opening her eyes as did he. "I'm sorry I freaked out about it when you first told me."
"No, it's okay. I get that it is a big step especially since we're not married or engaged."
"Thank you for understanding," she kissed him. "So when's our first appointment?" She climbs on his lap.
His hands ran up her ass and back. "Tomorrow," he kissed her. "We actually have an appointment today to tell her what we want in a house." He kissed her.
"I can't wait,"
"But first…"
She giggled as he growled turning her to her back.
…
They held hands getting photographed as they made their way to Stefan's realtor's office. Luckily, the paparazzi was across the street and not directly in front of them like the last time so Bonnie felt comfortable to actually speak.
"I'm so excited, babe."
He smiled looking down at her. "Me too."
"I wonder if we're gonna want the same things,"
"I'm sure we'll have to compromise here and there but for the most part, I think we're on the same page." He opened the door for her.
The receptionist smiled. "Hi, how may I help you two today?"
"Uh, we have an appointment with Yasmine,"
"Okay, let me see… Stefan and Bonnie?"
"That's us,"
"Alright, take a seat and she'll be out shortly."
"Thank you,"
"You're very welcome,"
They took their seats and waited about a minute before Yasmine walked out. She hugged them both then bought them back to her office having them sit across from her at her desk. "So tell me what you're looking for."
"Babe," Stefan offered.
"Well, I would like something big but not too big, maybe a two-story house. Three bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms um nice kitchen. I kind of like the open floor plan houses better than the sectionals."
"Yeah, I agree. The master just has to be," he whispered, "fucking amazing and the bathroom as well. If possible a separate shower and solo tub, double sinks."
"Any specific location?"
"Around this area would be nice, I work downtown so if the commute isn't too long then I'm fine with leaving a little earlier."
"Okay, you both have some specifics, but I have a few properties in mind. I'll see you two tomorrow."
"Great, I can't wait." Bonnie smiled as she stood shaking her hand.
…
Stefan cleaned her office a little as she worked. He's never seen someone type so fast in his life, all he heard was the clicking of keys. He would distract her with kisses but she obviously had some work to catch up on so he decided to clean. He didn't move things to new spots but instead made the pile of papers on the desk in the corner a straightened out pile of papers. Watered her plants, dusted off her bookshelf, turned her knickknacks straight facing the door. He swept the floors and dusted a little more, then he was finished.
He sat back down in front of her and watched her a little longer.
"Thanks, babe," she said looking through a folder.
"You're welcome. I figured you needed it,"
"Come kiss me,"
He smiled and kissed her lips twice. "I love you,"
"I love you more. Can you buy me something to eat?"
He chuckled. "Of course, baby." He kissed her again before heading out.
As he was waiting for the elevator to open, someone walked up to him and asked for a photo. He agreed and smiled as she held up her phone and snapped a photo of them both. Two more girls followed and one kissed him on the cheek which he hoped Bonnie would be okay with. He went to grab her lunch and got back twenty minutes later. He frowned noticing that she was no longer in her office but spotted her phone on her desk so he knew she wouldn't be gone for too long. He set up her food on her desk then closed her blinds and a minute later she arrived with a smile.
"Before it gets out, one of your employees kissed me on the cheek as she took a photo,"
She chuckled. "Chloe. She's obsessed."
"So you're not mad?"
"Of course not,"
"Huh."
"What?"
"Nothing,"
She stopped eating and stood, wrapping her arms around his neck. "If you want me to, I'll go fuss her out in front of everyone." She kissed him.
He exhaled. "Okay,"
She chuckled then hit his shoulder. "She's no threat to me," she sat back down.
"Feisty, I like it."
"Thanks for the food, babe."
"You're welcome. I was worried it'd get cold cause when I came back you weren't here,"
"Yeah, I had to check on a few things." He nodded. "Speaking of, I was checking my email and it looks like I got booked for another gig."
"That's great, babe, what is it?"
She shrugged. "I don't know if you heard of it, but it's a brand called Chanel?"
His eyes inflated. "Seriously, that's amazing."
She smiled. "You know I never thought that I'd like this modeling stuff but it's becoming a nice hobby thanks to you."
"I'm always there to help out." She chuckled. "So are you nervous?"
"Not really, I know I haven't done many shoots, but I think I have the hang of things now."
He smiled. "I love you."
"I love you more."
"I'm so excited to see the houses tomorrow."
"Me too. I don't know why but it feels weird for lack of better term thinking of us living together when we basically do live together."
"Yeah I know what you mean but it's weird per se because this will be the one place that we call home. Where we have dinner and sleep and shower. We no longer have to arrange whose house we're going to at the end of the day because only one will be on our minds. I can't wait to take this step with you."
She smiled and met their lips. "Me either." She kissed him again as he lifted her from her seat.
