Who are the Ivory-Wings?
The Angel Feather clan has long prided itself to its commitment to medicine above all. They are willing to apply their exceptional trade to all parties on Cray, regardless of their allegiance or motives, taking "do no harm" to heart. As the tumult of Cray grows more ever more violent, however, a growing faction within Angel Feather is demanding the clan take a more selective approach in who they treat. They argue that Angel Feather would better serve Cray by rewarding the righteous, not healing indiscriminately, thus flaming the fans of combat. The most militant of this party was soon excised by the clan, becoming the militia group known as the "Ivory-Wings." From their flying base Naglfari, they travel Cray in exile, applying their own blend of justice and healing.
Who is Barachiel?
The current field marshal of the Ivory-Wings, Barachiel was one of Angel Feather's most promising upcoming talents. His penchant for fiery rhetoric and forceful solutions made him a pariah among his peers, who didn't hesitate to exile him when he refused to heal a "foolish" Imperial general. He is a quick study, which proved valuable as he turned his allies from a squad of medics to powerful combatants. He wields two weapons- the first, the Tome of Hepius, a book of spells long thought to be lost to time that might be able to revive the dead; the second, the Kerykeion, a custom energy rifle forged by more a sympathetic group of Genesis engineers. An excellent commander and possessing a staunch moral code, he is fast proving to be a harbinger of justice in the eyes of Cray's powerless.
Who is Jerahmeel?
An elemental trapped between the realms of the living and dead, Jerahmeel has long ago abandoned his corporeal form. Versed in both the workings of life and Cray's afterlife, he's grown disillusioned with the supposed impartiality of death. Believing that Cray's warfare both cuts the lives of the truly good short, and prolong the lives of the strong but truly wicked, he joins Barachiel's crusade in order to "restore balance." Lacking a body, he sometimes possesses Barachiel during battles to give him deific powers for brief windows of time. This power is not withotu cost- if a possessed Barachiel would fall in battle, both he and Jerahmeel would cease existing entirely. Jerahmeel is capable using his powers of defying death itself, as long as something can take the resurrected's place.
