His head was filled with more than enough emotions. He was furious. He wanted most of all the protect Sherise from the hurt and guilt she felt.

Jesús soon left the sleeping Sherise with Kiara who was also devastated with the death of her maternal grandmother. While Asier was with the other cubs of the pride, mainly his daughter-in-law, Joyce and his grandson, Sebastian.

The reddish-brown lion hadn't moved too far from the cave under priderock where he left Sherise and Kiara when he felt he wasn't alone.

"I know you're there." Jesús snarled before glaring at the appearance of his brother. "What do you want."

Luis glared back. "I don't like what I see."

Jesús was more than confused. "Care to explain.."

Luis snarled, baring his teeth. "Stay away from Sherise!"

Jesús snapped his dark brown eyes towards his brother with hate burning in his eyes. "You're kidding?"

Luis growled lowly. "I loved her first! So stay away!"

"That's not your decision to make!" Jesús roared. "It's Sherise's choice and as I see it, you forfeit all rights to her heart!"

"How dare you!" Luis roared causing the reddish-brown lion to roar back.

The light cream lion quickly struck his brother hard across the face. His claws digging deep into the flesh and causing blood to flow.

Jesús once received a blow to the face like this but he knew this wound was going to be permanent. With a roar that could challenge the loudest thunder, Jesús pounced. Tackling his brother to the ground.

Luis bit and scratched any open spot on his brother's body. Jesús turned to latched on to Luis' paw but got another hit to the face.

"You will stay away!" Luis sneered in the younger male's bleeding face. "Besides.. you're my brother. Respect my wishes."

Jesús coughed, blood spitting out on the ground. "I.. remember you saying... half-brothers.."

Luis snarled and struck Jesús again. "Don't care! I loved her and the last lion she should be with is you!"

Jesús growled as he spit in his brother's face. "You don't get it. You don't have the right. Besides... You can't and won't keep us separate!"

Luis growled and was about to attack again when a new voice roared, interrupting the fight between the brothers.

Luis and Jesús looked to see Sherise standing nearby, snarling with Kiara standing not far with Amanda by her side.

Jesús dipped his head and watched his brother before looking at Sherise after feeling a paw on his. She smiled lightly before nuzzling the older lion's cheek.

"Did you mean what you said? That you don't want us to be separated?"

Jesús sighed and was about to respond when Luis roared. Jesús glared at the light cream lion. "It's not your decision! It's up to Sherise and she has a right to choose what she wants!"

Luis growled before whimpering at the glare he revived from his old friend. "Sherise..."

Sherise shook her head before sighing. "Jesús is right. It's not your decision and I gave you a opening and you blew it." she took a deep breath and leaned against Jesús' shoulder. "And this time..I choose Jesús."

Luis wanted to lash out but knew she was right. He sighed heavily before glaring at Jesús. With another sigh he left. He needed to be alone.

Sherise watched the light cream lion leave before turning and licking Jesús across the cheek. The reddish-brown lion was shocked but he smiled down at the dark brown lioness before giving her a soft nuzzle who gladly returned the affection.

It was a few days after Jesús' fight with Luis. And since then the two has made it official and came out.

Sherise's family and friends were happy. Even Joshua, he didn't have a bad feeling about his friend and father becoming mates.

His mother wasn't the one and if anything... he wants his father to be happy.

It was in the afternoon, Jesús and Sherise were lying under pride rock. Their pelts brushing against one another. Sherise had her head resting on her future mate's shoulder.

Jesús smiled at her before reaching up and nuzzled Sherise's head. They have been spending afternoons like this since Jesús and Sherise announced they were going to be mates.

"I can't wait to be your mate."

Jesús chuckled but before he could respond there was a roar followed by the appearance of Jessica. Jesús and Sherise stood just as the creamy-white lioness ran over. Her teeth was bared and her claws were out.

Jesús growled as he stood in front of Sherise.

"You choose that little girl over me! What's wrong with you?!"

Jesús frowned before glaring at the creamy-white lioness. "We're not official mates so this is none of your concern, Jessica. I am still royal and I choose who I want as my mate. There's nothing you can do."

Jessica growled her eyes were burning. "You will regret this, Jesús!"

With another growl she ran off. Jesús watch his son's mother go before nuzzling Sherise.

A Few Months Later

Jesús and Sherise stood at the peak of Pride Rock. White doves flew around the couple as Rafiki stood with a younger mandrill at his side. Rafiki shaked his staff over the two to official the marriage.

After the two mandrills walked away Jesús and Sherise shared a loving nuzzle before looking into each other eyes.

"Ready?"

Sherise smirked. "I was born ready."

Jesús and the dark brown lioness turned and roared letting the kingdom know they were now mates. The now married couple walked over to be greeted by the pride and Rafiki.

"You will make a wonderful Mjuzi." smiled Jesús at the young mandrill.

The young mandrill was light grey with a black mane that fell nicely around her face as it stopped to her shoulders. "I learn from the best."

Everyone laughed before seeing the two primates off. Not knowing that later that night they will be back.

A loud roar echoed though the small cave near the slope. Where Nala and Sarabi rushed Kiara into with the help of Kovu.

The two then shooed the dark brown lion out as Rafiki and his student came in. Kiara laid on her side, breathing heavy as sweat matted her gold fur.

"What do you see, Rika?" Rafiki asked his daughter.

The young light grey mandrill looked up. "A head, father."

Rafiki nodded before looking at the gold princess. "Push!"

Kiara nodded and pushed, the pain left as she felt something slide from her body.

"A beautiful healthy baby boy!" Rika smiled before placing the tiny cub in his mother's paws.

Kiara didn't get to bath the cub before another wave of pain erupted through her body.

"Father!"

Rafiki looked at his daughter with concern. "What is it?"

"There's another head!"

Automatically Kiara closed her amber eyes and the gold lioness growled before the burning and pain stopped.

"What sex, Rika?"

Rika smiled as she placed the new cub next to it's sister. "Another healthy baby boy."

Rafiki smiled before looking at his daughter and nodded. Her, Rafiki, Nala and Sarabi walked out of the cave to see Kovu pacing with Jesús, Simba, Josh, Amanda, Frankie, Mheetu and Mwezi sitting around.

When Kovu's green eyes landed on his mate's mother and grandmother, he ran over. "Is everything alright?"

Sarabi smiled. "Go see for yourself, dear."

Kovu looked at the cave and gulped before walking in. The dark brown lion's throat went dry at the sight of two cubs.

"Twins?"

Kiara smiled. "Isn't it great?"

Kovu nodded before nuzzling her. "The best. What are their names?"

Kiara looked at the two cubs asleep at her side. "The oldest is Hunter and his twin is Askari."

Kovu nuzzled his sons before nuzzling his mate again. "They're beautiful like you."

The new parents shared a loving embrace as they prepared for the future.
