I doubt this would ever ever happen on the show, Jason turning against Sonny like this, but this is my universe and how I'd like Jason to be lol. It's just a side story, not the main. And I have the year wrong, I know, but while it's still 2001 in this story I'm just doing things on my own timeline. Anyway, enjoy and don't forget to review!
Chapter 63- Skye's Jealousy Increases
Skye sighed when Rae got up to use the bathroom for the fourth time that night. She stared at the ceiling while she waited. This was still not as bad as being whacked constantly by Kendall.
When Rae returned, she sighed. "Sweetie, I think I have a stomach bug… I don't want you to catch it. You better go back with Kendall."
"Too late for that." Skye crossed her arms. "I'm already contaminated. And Kendall is the worst sleeping buddy ever."
Rae climbed back in beside her.
Skye lifted her arm and wrapped it around herself and as she nestled in, she noticed Rae's gut had swelled a little. Her heart started to race, and she pulled away from her. Rae had already fallen asleep though. Was this really happening at her age?
Kendall stayed for breakfast the next morning and they were planning to meet with Jax and AJ soon about their upcoming business venture, Skye just had to get them on board first. Rae didn't eat breakfast which concerned Myrtle, but Rae insisted she was fine. Erica called and wanted to make up for Myrtle's ruined birthday party and suggested they take her to the Valley Inn for dinner. Skye was working that evening, but Rae and Myrtle agreed to go.
Skye wasn't impressed when Myrtle and Rae sat her down after Kendall left.
"Skye, we need to follow up from last night," Myrtle said.
"Mama, maybe this can wait," Rae said.
"But how much longer should we wait?"
"I apologized to Mom last night," Skye said. "Everything's good now."
"That's good," Myrtle said. "But you still need to go to therapy."
Skye's cheeks went pink. "No, I don't."
"It's nothing to be ashamed of. It will make you feel a lot better to talk to someone who isn't involved."
"I'm already working on being respectful, doing chores, and I have a job. But I draw the line at therapy because I don't need it."
"Skye, darling," Myrtle said. "You were jealous of an eight-year-old girl. I know where you're coming from, but you need to talk to someone about that."
"I was not jealous!" Skye insisted. "That was just Kendall talking. If anything, she's jealous of me."
"What if Rae goes to see a therapist too?" Myrtle suggested. "Would you feel better if you weren't the only one going?"
"A therapist going to see a therapist?" Skye scoffed. "I can see the headlines. Mom doesn't need therapy any more than I do."
"You've been through a lot, dear," Myrtle said. "Both in the past and in the present. You need to work through that."
"Look…" Skye squeezed her hands together nervously. "Why don't you just give me more chores instead? I'll take up gardening! I'm sure I'll be horrible at it, but you can swing the whip at me until I get it right."
"Chores have a purpose, but they aren't going to solve everything," Myrtle said.
Skye groaned. "I'm trying really hard not to get angry and be disrespectful here… That's proof I don't need therapy. So, just drop it. I have to get ready to meet Dad anyway." She headed to the stairs and turned back. "I'm not being disrespectful, I'm not. I just ask that you respect me on this." She headed upstairs.
"Rae, darling," Myrtle said. "You were awfully quiet. I think it would help if you and Alan talked to her about it. Are you all right?"

Before her shift, Alan wanted to take Skye and her siblings out for lunch at the Port Charles Hotel. When she arrived, AJ was there first saving a table. She sat across from him and ordered a club soda with lime while they waited. Skye told him about her plans with Kendall. At first, he hesitated, but when she mentioned their motive (getting back at Adam and Erica), he was completely on board. He even thought they could stick it to Edward as well and their first step should be to purchase office space.
Alan, Emily, and Jason soon arrived, and Alan showed concern over how Skye was coping with being home again.
"Sonny is taking me to court," AJ changed the subject which annoyed Skye a bit. "When I refused to let him take Michael home, he called his lawyer. I had no choice but to hand him over for the interim."
"So, Michael is with Sonny?" Emily asked.
AJ nodded. "It happened this morning. I'm meeting with Alexis Davis in an hour. So, I won't be able to stay too long."
"We're not going to let him get away with this," Alan said. "Michael belongs with us."
AJ turned to Jason. "I know he's your boss and he and Carly are your replacement family, but I won't let Michael get dragged into that life again!"
Alan looked nervous. "Okay, maybe we can talk about this later. You boys have been getting along lately and—"
"You may like that lifestyle," AJ continued. "But it isn't suitable for kids."
"I agree," Jason spoke up.
Everyone stared at Jason.
AJ raised an eyebrow. "Did Hell just freeze over? Did you just say you agree with me?"
"If you stay sober, then yes," Jason said. "Children shouldn't be brought into this life."
"From what AJ's told me," Skye said. "You encouraged Michael to be raised by Sonny."
"I didn't understand until now. But if AJ doesn't stay sober, maybe Michael should be with Alan and Monica."
"What's the sudden change?" AJ asked. "How do you suddenly understand?"
Emily nodded at Jason. "Tell them. They need to know."
Jason looked over his shoulder, then whispered. "This has to stay between us."
"What is it, Jason?" Alan asked.
"I'm trying to get out."
"Of the mob?" AJ asked.
"Why?" Skye asked. "I'm with AJ. I don't understand the sudden switch."
"This part you especially have to keep to yourselves," Jason said. "When Elizabeth went to the hospital after she almost drowned… She found out she's pregnant."
"And who's the father?" AJ asked.
"It's Jason, of course," Emily said.
Alan began to smile. "Another grandchild? Oh, Jason, this is wonderful. But is the baby okay after the drowning?"
Skye's shoulders slunk a little.
Jason nodded. "Both Elizabeth and the baby are fine."
"I have a wonderful idea," Alan said. "What if Elizabeth moves in with us at least until you can work out leaving the mob?"
Skye frowned.
"Uh…" Jason scratched his neck. "I mean, it might be good that they're not alone. But that might draw attention."
"Plus, I doubt Elizabeth would go for it," Emily added. "She's way too independent."
"But we can help keep her and the baby safe," Alan said.

Later that day, Myrtle, Stuart, Rae, and John met Erica and Jack at the Valley Inn for dinner. While they ate, Stuart explained that the first court hearing for his divorce was coming up that week and how nervous he was. Myrtle offered to go with him, but Erica didn't think that was a good idea.
"But he needs support," Myrtle said.
"Yes, but if he shows up with another woman that's not going to look good in front of the judge," Erica said.
"I'd be going as his friend."
"The judge won't know that," Erica said. "And I'm sure Marian's lawyer will use it against him."
Rae pushed her chicken breast a little with her fork but didn't touch it.
"I think it's a little late for that," Jack spoke up. "Myrtle and Stuart have been spending a lot of time together since he and Marian separated. A lot of people in town already know and I'm sure it's gotten back to Marian. In fact, it might look more suspicious if she doesn't know up. That way if she's there then you can both vouch to being simply friends."
Stuart frowned at that comment.
"Good, because I'm going to be there," Myrtle insisted.
"Stuart," Jack said. "Barrie is a good lawyer, but if I can help out any way, let me know.
Erica cleared her throat and raised her glass. "I believe we came here to celebrate. To Myrtle. Who is always there for us no matter what. She always listens and gives good advice, even if it's not the advice we want to hear."
"To Myrtle!" Everyone tapped their glasses, but Rae only raised hers part way and set it down again.
"I'm gonna be sick…" She rose from the table and took off towards the bathroom.
"Oh, dear," Myrtle said and followed after her.
Erica scoffed and crossed her arms. "I don't believe her! She complained that I took all the attention at Myrtle's party, then she turns around and does the same thing."
"This isn't the same," John said. "Hopefully it's just a stomach bug."

After a repetitious evening of washing dish after dish at the Palace, Renee told Skye she had a new task for her—to vacuum the dining room. Skye thought this was absolutely ridiculous and was hoping to actually get off early, but she bit her tongue knowing her mom and grandma wouldn't be pleased if she told Renee off.
So, Skye dragged the vacuum cleaner into the dining room area and vacuumed under each table. By the time she reached the stage area, she stopped at the piano. Sheet music for Goodbye to You by Michelle Branch was sitting on top.
She stared at it for a few minutes, then lifted the microphone and started to sing softly.
Of all the things I've believed in
I just want to get it over with
Tears from behind my eyes, but I do not cry
Counting the days pass me by
I've been searchin' deep down in my soul
Words that I'm hearin' are starting to get old
It feels like I'm startin' all over again
The last three years were just pretend
And I said
Goodbye to you
Goodbye to everything that I knew
You were the one I loved
The one thing that I tried to hold on to
Skye turned abruptly when she heard clapping and saw Adam walking towards her.
"That was beautiful, sweetheart," he said. "I haven't heard you sing in years."
Skye swallowed hard. "What are you doing here?"
"I came to see you, of course."
"At my work in the middle of the night?"
"I just finished a meeting here in Llanview and I didn't want to see you in front of Myrtle and Rae."
"Why not?" Skye asked.
"Because they don't understand what it means to be a Chandler," Adam said.
"Neither do I, apparently. You said so yourself, I'm not a real Chandler."
"I didn't mean that. Of course, you're a Chandler."
"I'm almost finished my shift and Mom and Grandma will be looking for me…"
"I wanted to tell you Hayley is doing much better," Adam said. "She's starting to talk a bit, but her voice is raspy. And I got to feel the baby kick the other day. We found out she's having a boy."
Skye lowered her gaze. "Is that why you're hear? Just to gloat about your new heir?"
"No. I came to re-instate your accounts and your inheritance. I was trying to teach you a lesson, but I was wrong. You shouldn't be living off a dishwasher's salary. That's an insult to the Chandler name."
Skye gritted her teeth and slammed the microphone down. "I don't want your money! Even if I have to be a dishwasher the rest of my life, it's better than depending on my kidnapper!"
"Skye, I am not your kidnapper, I'm your father—"
"You are not my father. Just go home to Hayley and Colby and Junior. And don't forget your precious new grandson."
"You need your accounts back," Adam said. "You can't keep living like this."
"Just take your money and shove it. I'm going to continue to make my own and pretty soon you're going to regret everything you did to me. Now just leave!"
After he left, Skye dropped to the floor and began to cry. "Daddy and Dad have their precious new grandchildren to focus on and now Mom is pregnant. I thought she was too old for that, but where is that going to leave me? I'll be an afterthought. Maybe Grandma's right… Or maybe, I should have a baby too. Then I won't be the only adult kid on each side without a grandchild for them."
A/N: Lol, Skye is in absolutely no healthy position to have her own child right now :P
