Chapter 63 – Sisters fight
The ship landed in the ship hangar in Coruscant, the sun already had sat. Luke walked out the ship, smiling when he looked at his left and saw his X-Wing. R2 came behind him and beeped, making Luke reading what he meant and nod
"I know what you mean, R2. I miss flying in it with you"
"Hey, I'm starting to get jealous" Ines said behind him, holding Ben near her right shoulder, while kept rubbing the baby's back. "I wish I could fly with you on your X-Wing too" she laughed
"Well it would be difficult since there is only one seat. Where would I put you?" Luke laughed at her
"I can be on your lap" she winked, making him shaking his head.
Looking up he touched the ship, he did miss flying. Seeing Wedge, he called
"Wedge"
Wedge saw Luke and smiling he walked towards him and the two friends hug each other.
"Hey Luke, missing flying this?" Wedge said patting Luke's arm.
"A little I have to say. And why are you were, returning from something?"
"No just checking out if everything is alright" he told him
"Hello Wedge" Ines said to the pilot
"Hey Ines" he wave back and looking at the baby his eyes wide up "Is that…?"
Luke nod with a smile
"Congratulations" Wedge shook Luke's hand and hugged him
"Thanks my friend"
"Congrats Ines."
"Thank you Wedge" she smiled at him, kissing Ben's little head.
After a while, Luke looked at Ines
"Do you want to go home right now. Maybe we need to rest"
"I would like to visit Leia first. I want to give her a hug and tell her how much I wanted to be here by her side"
Luke nod, he wanted to see his sister too.
"Let's put the bags home first and we will go to see Leia and Han" Luke agreed and the head to their apartment building where they left the bags, before heading back to Leia's.
Once they entered inside the apartment, Han stood up and hugged Luke.
"Luke!" he said smiling
"Hi Han! Chewie!" Luke smiled at his friends.
"Ines!" Han got closer to her and kissed her cheek and looked at the baby in her arms. "He is beautiful, kid"
"Thanks, Han. And I'm sorry for what happened. I really do and I'm sorry we weren't here sooner"
"Hey, like I said to Luke, you couldn't know. Besides you needed to rest too."
"How is Leia?"
"You know her, even if she is suffering she will never show. After a 1 week she return to work" Han told making Chewie nod, instead of growling cause he didn't want to scare the baby.
3PO appeared
"Oh Master Luke, so good to see you"
"Hello 3PO" Luke smiled at the droid
"Mistress Ines, glad to see you are alright. And oh my, even for a baby, he is quite big. I never understood how a human can expelled another human of that size out of her"
Ines hold a laugh
"Well let me tell you 3PO it was painful, very painful"
Leia came from inside
"What is this conversation I keep hearing inside" she started but the moment she saw Luke, she smiled and ran to her brother and hugged him, making Luke hugged his sister back.
"Leia! How are you?"
"Luke I missed you. I was eager to know everything that happened in Naboo" Leia smiled at him.
"Leia!" Ines called and walked towards her friend, to give her hug, but the moment Leia saw Ines and her eyes stopped on the sleeping baby in her arms, Leia expression change immediately, making Ines stop on her tracks.
"You're here with him" Leia said, making Ines frown at that sentence, and looked at Luke and then to Han.
"Excuse me? Of course I'm here. I wanted to comfort you, to know how are you, if you are okay"
Leia looked at her
"Comfort me? See if I'm okay? Please Ines. I know why you're here."
"Why are talking to me like that?"
Luke was not liking the tone Leia was talking to Ines, when she didn't do anything wrong.
"Leia please" he told her but Leia didn't listen
"Don't start it. You are here because you came to shove in my face that the girl who was mocked back in Alderaan, that it would never get married because she was not pretty and girly to make any guy interesting in her and never be a mother, now has a baby and was able to get a pregnancy till the end while I couldn't do that"
Han got closer to Leia
"Leia stop"
"Why should I stop Han. We lost our baby, but she didn't think of that, and the prove is that she had to bring hers as personal vengeance. Like she had a baby and I don't"
Ines couldn't believe what she was hearing from her best friend. Especially the fact that Leia brought the time where some of Leia's friends used to mocked her because she prefer to fight with the boys then going shopping and where makeup with them. That really hurt her.
"How could you think of that, Leia. I would never do that and you know it. And how could you bring those times knowing that it always hurt it back then?"
"Stop being the victim here" Leia yelled and that woke up the baby who started to cry
"Look what you've done" Ines said trying to calm down her baby "It is okay sweetie" she said rocking her son and looked at Leia "I came here worried about you. To show you that I'm here and to say sorry we weren't here for you, but apparently you took your time to attack me. This time I didn't do anything wrong, so when you are ready to apologize you know where to find me, until there, we are done" she said "Sorry Han. It was nice to see you and you too Chewie. Feel free to visit us. You too 3PO. If you want to stay Luke it is okay babe" and she left with a crying baby, leaving Luke looked at her sister.
Leia rolled her eyes and looking at Luke, she spoke
"But tell me what did you find out?"
Luke couldn't believe that his sister, just spoke to Ines like that and now expected him to act like nothing happened.
"Are you serious Leia?"
"What?" she asked. "Don't tell me you are on her side? I'm your sister. Your twin sister"
"Yes you are, but she is my wife and the mother of my son, and you were really unfair to her. We were worried about you, about what you went through, and you were so rude to her."
"So I see you pick her side too"
"I don't pick sides, but if you want me to pick a side Leia, you will lose that fight, because Ines and our Ben come first and will always come first for me" he said and was ready to leave.
"Wait that's it."
"I know you are in pain and we feel sorry for what happened, but that doesn't give you the right to say the things to you said to her. And just for your information, Ines was worried about you. And to show that, while she was in terrible labor pain, yes Leia, I felt her pain while she was giving birth, she asked about you when something happened to you. That is how she didn't care about you, Leia" and looking Han, he shake his hand.
"Sorry Luke"
"It is okay. Goodnight"
And Luke left, making Han looked at Leia and shook his head, while Leia got back inside.
Luke and Ines apartment:
Ines had changed Ben's diapers and putting his pajamas, and right now she was watching her baby, sleeping in his crib, in his bedroom. How could Leia say those horrible things to her?
Luke entered in the room and hugged her from behind, kissing her shoulder, while he looked at their baby sleeping.
"I'm sorry about Leia"
"It isn't your fault Luke, she is the one who need to say sorry." she said and turned to face him "How horrible she thinks I am? And I can't believe she brought back the times when we were kids and her friends mocked me"
"Those girls thought that about you?" Luke asked
Ines nod sadly
"I was always a tomboy. I liked to fight with the boys, that is something I'm good at, and Leia's friends laughed at me because I didn't like to wear dresses and makeup and go shopping with them and Leia. So they used to talk that they couldn't wait to married and have kids, and when I said I wanted that too, they laughed saying that will never happen because I was not the wife and mother material, because I was no feminine enough to any guy to like me. It hurt my feelings so much that I started to believe they were right at some point." she said making Luke pulled her into a hug
"Well if those girls are alive, I would love to show them how beautiful you are and yes there was a guy who fall in love with you and he is lucky to have you as his wife and as the mother of his son" he smiled and pulled her into a sweet kiss, that Luke deepened, licking Ines lower lip asking for entrance that she allowed and soon his tongue was explore her mouth. Then Luke started to kiss her jaw and then her neck, at the same time he get his hands under her shirt, feeling her soft skin, making Ines smile.
"Luke, stop" she said looking at him "We can't, at least for some weeks."
Luke sighed
"I know, sorry"
"Babe, you don't need to say sorry, actually I like the fact that you want me. And trust me I can't wait to make love with you cause I miss that so much. But I still can't have sex, but when I can, I'm yours any time you want" she smiled
"I will not forget that" he laughed making her laugh "I'm proud of you. About the way you handle Leia"
"I know that was the pain talking. I can't say I understand what she is feeling cause I don't. But she needs to think of her actions"
"You're right." he said "And I'm on your side in this. She shouldn't say the things she said"
"I love you"
"I love you more" he said kissing her again. "Come on, let's get to bed cause it was a long day and soon this little guy is crying for food" he giggled making her laughed.
"You're right" and as R2 stay in Ben's bedroom scanning the room watching the baby, Luke and Ines head to theirs, and as they undressed and put her nightgown and pajama bottoms, they got under the covers and fall asleep in each others arms.
