Shortly after Thomas had arrived at Playa Des Losers, Nicolás found himself in a greater fear than one could imagine. He knew that Thomas was onto him the whole time that he was trying to stop his plans, and that meant bad things for the boy, surely. He tried his best to hide from his sight, though he rarely saw the assassin walking around. It was almost as if he never left his room, not that Nicolás knew where his room was. He sat with Taylor often, trying to be near her in the event that the maniac came after him for some payback.

"Ay, Nick!" Taylor shouted at him, standing from her seat.

"What's up?" he replied, glancing over at her.

"I totally gotta use the bathroom, I'll be right back."

"Oh...uh...I mean, you didn't have to tell me that, but okay."

"Yeah, yeah."

Taylor darted off towards the lodge, leaving Nicolás alone at the set of chairs. He stared over at the one that his friend was sitting in, feeling as if something was off. Blinking once, he opened his eyes to find Thomas now sitting where she had just been. Out of fear, he leapt out of his own seat, falling to the ground and looking up to see the boy now looming over him. He tensed up, preparing for the worst of things to come, only to see Thomas hold his hand out to him. Hesitantly, he grabbed it, the other boy pulling him up from the ground.

"W-what are you doing here?" Nicolás asked, still absolutely terrified.

"Me?" Thomas chuckled a little, "I'm here to thank you, of course."

"Thank me? What are you talking about, I haven't done anything for you..."

"Oh, on the contrary. You've done all too much to help me. You see, killing Chris was a nice goal to have. Dude's scummy as can be, totally doesn't care about the consequences of his actions, and has done some irreversible damage to the world. He's not the type of guy that deserves any sort of pity. But you know...it's because of you and your group of hooligans that I got a much better opportunity."

"What do you mean...'a better opportunity?'"

"Oh...you'll see what I mean in due time. All I can say for now is that it's going to be immaculate, and much more interesting for me than taking care of Chris. You have my sincerest thanks, Nicolás. Enjoy it."

With only one more blink, Thomas was out of sight, and Taylor returned from the rest room. She saw her friend, pale as if he had seen a ghost, and looked around for the cause, only to find nothing.

"Yo, you okay?" she asked, grabbing him by the shoulders and shaking him a little, "You look terrified."

"Yeah...I'm fine," he replied, swallowing his fear, "I'm not sure what just happened...but it's not good."
