A/N: An unanswered question, long over due... oh.. and a few new ones ;) This is the last of 'part 1' - short, but impacting.

Atty was furious.
She had just broken the spell Zeus had placed, keeping her and her sisters locked up. Bastard couldn't keep her there, not now, not when Lace was running around out here.
Lace must have broken it too. How, Atty didn't know. She wasn't even sure how she had gotten out. This only made her angrier. Spoiled little brat.
Atty used her magick to discover when and where in time and place she had landed after following her sister. It was just a few days before The Curse. This would be interesting to witness.
She found a spot on a hill overlooking the Charming Castle, the very last place The Curse would take. She'd get a good view here.
Time flowed slowly here, so impatiently, Atty stepped forward to just before The Curse was cast. Before long, Atty realized, The Curse was late.
C'mon Regina, where are you, you blasted human.
Another hour passed before Atty thought to check the timeline. Something was wrong. The Curse hadn't been cast. Regina… changed her mind? By the time Atty realized what had happened, Regina was leaving her own castle with her father in tow.
She destroyed The Curse?! Lace must have changed something.
Atty screamed into the night, letting some of her anger go as she did.
What in the Underworld was Lace up to? Atty checked the timeline again. She had to fix it. She couldn't go back in time from here, but she could find her sister and make her change things back.
It suddenly occurred to her that Lace would go and change more than just this one thing. She pondered the next step, thinking of the most important things that happened because of The Curse.
The child. The heart of the truest believer.
In an instant, Atropos was standing over a newly born princess, in a beautifully decorated room. A young mother was rocking nearby, fast asleep. That didn't matter. Atty did not want to be seen, therefore, no one would see her.
She bent over the bassinet and smiled. For a human infant, she was rather adorable, not that she would ever admit it.
She had to think about the spell. She had to do it just right. Nothing could interfere, even her no good sister.
"One day, little Emma, your magick will bring you a man who you will love. This man is the man who will give you a family before vanishing completely. You'll have a son, who you will name Henry, and you will love him despite everything."
She nodded. That sounded just about right. Now all she had to do was place one innocent little finger on young Emma to cast the spell.
So she did.
Unknown to the eldest fate, her youngest sister had already been to that very room, in that very spot, casting a nearly identical spell on the poor babe. A spell that would one day bring Emma her one true love.
Over the years, those two spells would dance around in Emma's veins. Until one day, they smashed together so forcefully, an entirely new outcome emerged creating one very cold, dreadful day for Emma.
And a future neither fate could have predicted.
