As the sun started to rise in the distance, it's bright rays started to illuminate the dark parts of New Thundera's desert section of the planet. As the rays continued to shine down on the planet, a structure in the middle of the area started to become illuminated. This structure was a exact replica of the Dark Pyramid used by Mumm-Ra when he arrived on New Thundera in order to acquire the Sword of Plunn-Darr and to discover the Treasure of Thundera. When Mumm-Ra left the planet to return to his home on Third Earth, the structure started to become baron and empty, and it has remained this way for many years.
Now just a few moments ago, a bolt of lightning started to appear between all of the four pillars of the Pyramid and then started to strike the home base, as if something evil has returned to re-claim it. Inside the structure was a person dressed in golden armor and a pug like dog standing inside the main chamber. This chamber was an exact replica of the one in Mumm-Ra's Third Earth home but with some slight differences. The statues of the Ancient Spirits of Evil were carven in some kind of metal rock, as well as the cauldron had an octagon the shape with stone slabs on each section. Even the sarcophagus was a newer design as well as the white skull which in lays within. After a moment the warrior started to speak.
"Woe, that was some ride." The warrior stated while getting his bearings. "You know something, you might not hear this much from your master, but good job boy." The warrior stated as he started to see a look of kindness from the dog that was with him. "Now all I have to do is to destroy those Thundercats and the woman who killed my wife, but where to begin." The warrior started to say while starting to remember the thoughts transmitted to him during the energy infusion given to him by Mumm-Ra.
As the warrior started to access what Mumm-Ra had given him, he started to hear a voice coming from the waters inside the cauldron,
"Wheeler, respond at once." The voice stated as Wheeler looked into the waters to see his master's face from his home on Third Earth.
"I am here my lord and ready to begin." Wheeler replied in his most anxious tone.
"Your first assignment is to attack the Great Beneath and to damage the Gyroscope that holds New Thundera together."
"I understand my lord, but how will I get there?"
"Ma-Mutt will be your transportation." Mumm-Ra stated as Ma-Mutt started to whimper next to Wheeler. "Don't be sad my puttered pet. It will only be until the mission is completed."
"And then we can put the rest of the plan that I laid out for everyone in full swing."
"Yes, and it is a genius plan as well. Now head towards the Great Beneath, but watch out for Jagara and Screwloose."
"Yes the two who guards the Gyroscope from harm. I already have a plan to infiltrate their base and do some serious damage."
"Excellent. Now carry out your mission, by the way, I have found out that the Thundercats and the woman who murdered your family are heading there at this very moment. If you should encounter them, then destroy them all."
"It will be my pleasure my master." Wheeler replied as his master's image disappeared from the cauldron. "Now the only problem is how to get to the Great Beneath. It is only accessible by aircraft so I will have to get the Thundarians of this word to help me, but to do that I will need to get to their lair." Wheeler stated as he started to turn to Ma-Mutt. "Ma-Mutt, can you change yourself into something appropriate to get me to the Cat's Lair?" He added as Ma-Mutt's eyes started to glow red.
As the dog's eyes started to glow red, the same red color energy wave started to envelope the dog, changing it's form and shape. As Wheeler continued to watch, a new form started to appear where once Ma-Mutt had stood. A moment later the red energy started to die down and in it's place was a black colored horse, with a war like saddle as well as armor plating around the head. After seeing all of this Wheeler started to speak again.
"Wow Ma-Mutt, you look good." He started to say with a surprised look on his face, but then started to look at what he was wearing as well. "Ma-Mutt, can you do something about my clothes." He started to ask. "I mean we would have to go in disguise and the only way is to change my appearance, plus to add a few scratches and bruises as not to raise suspicions.." He finished as the horse's eyes started to glow red and strike Wheeler with laser beams.
As the laser beams struck Wheeler, his clothing and armor started to disappear and was being replaced by a new set of clothing. As the beams finally dissipated, Wheeler's new clothing was starting to emerge. His new clothing was torn long fabric jeans, a ripped long sleeved shirt, and what looks like old and ripped footwear. As for his scars, there was one over his right eye, and a scan on his left arm. Another scar was on his right arm but this scar has signs of dried blood as if he was in a battle , but managed to get away after a fight. After that, Wheeler started to jump onto the back of Ma-Mutt and started to grab onto his reigns.
"Nice going Ma-Mutt." Wheeler started to say while starting to admire his new look. "Now onto the Cat's Lair and then the Great Beneath." He added as Ma-Mutt started to jump up onto his back legs before riding out of the Pyramid and then into the desert.
On another part of New Thundera, the sun's rays have finally illuminated a big valley of stones as well as a unique structure. This structure was build at the end of a large mountain and was built from pure rocks from around the area. Also there were multiple rock type statues with in the area that resembled Thundercats. Two of these statues were positioned on both ends of the structure. This structure has what appears to be a giant face of a white haired Lion, like the kind you would see from a leader of their pack. This head was also made from the stone as well as it's body going down to the ground while showing it's giant claws on both sides. This was the new Cat's Lair that the Thundercats had built when they returned to New Thundera, with the help of the Snarfs living there as well.
While the Thundercats were living on New Thundera, they were able to save some refuges who were captured a while ago from a two headed mechanical alien named Two Time who lived on a flying fortress called Dome-Down. His energy beams could alter the gravity around anyone he hits as well as make them turn upside-down. Depends on which of the two heads fired the beams. Afterwards the refuges lead by Torr, decided to stay and help the Thundercats rebuild their home to make it better than before.
Years after the Thundercats decided to head back to Third Earth to live with their friends. Torr and the other Thunderians who settled back on their home planet, started to keep an eye out for trouble from anyone who would do them harm as well as maintained the Lair's structure and the Whisker. A flying vehicle that was used to help find the Treasure of Thundera after it was scattered all around the planet.
Inside the Cat's Lair's control room, Torr and a few of the Thunderians were monitoring any and all events that was happening on New Thundera as well as making sure that any Thundarians weren't causing any more trouble.
"Anything Torr?" A female Thunderian asked while looking at her station.
"Not Really. Just the same old same old." Torr replied in his honest and tired tone.
"Well don't worry about anything for now." The female Thunderian started to say. "At least now we can get back to our discussion that we were having in our quarters earlier."
"You're right. You still haven't given me an answer yet."
"Are you two talking about that again?" A another Thunderian started to say. "Just say yes and be done with it."
"It is not that simple." Another female Thunderian started to say in her most honest tone.
"It sounds simple to me. Say yes and that is it."
"We need a Thundercat to perform the ceremony and they are all living on Third Earth."
"Can't we just call them up to come here to perform the ceremony? I mean what is wrong with that?"
After the male Thunderian's statement everyone was silent for a moment before Torr started to speak.
"It is not that simple Ran. We don't even know if the Thundercat's spaceship can fly." Torr stated in his most honest tone.
"Can't we just give them a call and see if they can-" The male Thundarian started to say until the alarms started to go off.
"What's going on?" The other female Thunderian asked with worry.
"Let's take a look." Torr stated while activating the main monitor.
After activating the main monitor screen, Torr and the other Thundarians started to see a man on horse back racing towards the lair. This man was gravely injured as well as wearing ripped clothing and cuts on his body. After a moment Torr and the others started top head out of the control room and towards the man on horseback.
"Come on, we have to hurry." Torr stated while the others were running after him.
"I hope he is alright?" The female Thunderian stated in her most concerned tone.
"Let's hope so Kara, but you had better get the medical bay ready just in case." Torr started to say. "Karen, please go with Kara and get everything ready."
"Right Torr." Karen stated as she and Kara headed towards the medical bay.
As the two female Thunderians headed towards the medical bay, Torr and Ran have just reached the main door to the outside of the lair. As Torr opened the doors, the rider has just arrived at the base of the lair. As the horse finally came to a complete stop, both Torr and Ran arrived in order to help out the rider.
"Are you alright?" Torr asked with some concern.
"Can you hear us? Ran added with concern as well.
"I… I don't know." The rider replied in a hurtful tone.
"Here, let's help you get down." Torr stated as he and Ran were able to get the rider off his horse. "Now tell us, do you remember you name?"
"I… I… I don't remember my name." The rider stated while lying. "Where am I? What is this place?"
"This is the Cat's Lair, home to the Thundercats." Ran stated.
"But what about you? How did you come here?" Torr asked in a concerned tone.
"I don't know." The rider started to say in a tired tone. "Last thing I remember is waking up in a deserted part of a planet with some kind of rocks floating around in the distance. That's all I can remember."
"Floating rocks, that has to be the Great Beneath Torr." Ran stated while remembering the description perfectly.
"You're right it has to be, but how did you manage to get here from there?" Torr asked with much concern.
"I…. I…. don't remember." The rider stated as he started to pass out."
"TORR!" Ran shouted as they both caught the rider.
"Quickly, let's get him into the medical bay of the Lair and try to contact the Thundercats on Third Earth." Torr stated as he and Ran started to take the rider into the Lair and towards the medical bay.
As Torr and Ran started to bring in the unconscious rider inside the Lair, nobody noticed that his horse started to transform back into it's previous form of Ma-Mutt. After everyone had left Ma-Mutt's field of view, the mummified dog started to take off from the ground and fly into the Cat's Lair's open mouth while waiting for his ally to join him later.
As the female Thunderians finished getting everything ready inside the medical bay, Torr and Ran had finally arrived, carrying the rider in both their arms.
"What happened to him?" Karen asked as she and Kara started to help the others.
"No idea." Torr started to say. "He said he came from the area with the floating rocks."
"The Great Beneath? How did he end up there?" Kara asked as they all placed him down on the Bio-Bed.
"I don't know but we should contact the Thundercats back on Third Earth and fill them in on what happened." Ran stated in his most honest tone.
"Karen, can you please go back to the main control room and try to contact the Thundercats." Torr started to say. "The rest of use will stay here to run some scans on our guest here."
"Sure thing Torr." Karen started to say as she shifted her gaze to Kara. "Just don't ask Ran to leave any time soon. I hate to see what happens when you and Torr are left alone." Karen added as she started to giggle a little.
"KAREN!" Kara shouted as she started to chase Karen out of the medical bay.
"KARA!" Torr shouted to stop Kara in her tracks. "Never mind about what Karen said to you, you can always take care of it later." He added as he started to get some medical devices from the table next to him. "We have a patient to worry about for now."
"Right Torr." Kara stated in a much more calmer tone.
"Nice work there Torr." Ran started to say while helping Torr run his scans." So tell me, why didn't you accept Lion-O's offer to be a Thundercat years ago." Ran added as they were all scanning the rider's body.
"I told Lion-O that I was no leader and that it was more important to get everyone from space back home."
"Well if you ask me, you just displayed some leadership skills already."
"I agree with Ran on the subject." Kara started to say as she started to approached Torr. "You've always had in you to become a great Thundercat, so why not accept it back then."
"I guess I didn't want the burden or responsibilities that came with being a Thundercat. Besides I am much happier just being a Thunderian and keeping our planet safe from harm." Torr stated as they all finished running their scans. "I'm still wondering how he came here and without triggering any of our deep space sensors."
"You know something else, I've never seen this type of ring either." Kara stated while examining the ring on the rider's right hand. "It's design is quite different from anything I've seen before."
"I know and his colored hair." Ran stated while looking at the rider's hair. "The only other person that has this colored hair is Lion-O back on Third Earth but I never-" He started to say until he was stopped by a weird sound.
"What's going on?!" Kara started to yell as Torr went to the comm unit on the far side of the room.
"Karen, what's the emergency?!" Torr yelled into the comm unit.
After a moment, a voice started to come from the comm unit.
"TORR, THE CONTROL ROOM, IT'S BEEN SMASHED TO PIECES! ALL OF THE MONITORS ARE DESTROYED AND ALL SYSTEMS ARE DEAD!' Karen yelled in a panicked tone.
"CALM DOWN KAREN!" Torr started to yell back. "WE'LL BE THERE SHORTLY, JUST TURN OFF THE ALARMS FOR NOW!" Torr yelled back as the comm unit went dead.
After Torr's statement into the comm unit, all of the alarms throughout the lair stopped.
"Everyone, let's go and see what happened in the control room." Torr stated while Ran started to look a little concern.
"What's wrong Ran? " Kara asked with some concern.
"It's just I think that we shouldn't leave this person alone." Ran stated while Torr started to approach him.
"I know what you mean Ran, but we should really see what Karen was talking about in the control room. Don't worry, we'll be back in no time." Torr stated in his most concern tone.
"Alright Torr. Let's go." Ran added as the three of them left the medical bay and headed towards the main control room.
After all of the Thunderians had left the medical bay, the rider started to open his eyes, and took a moment to get his bearings. After a moment the rider started to speak aloud.
"Nice going Ma-Mutt." The rider started to say. "Now to cause some damage around here as well before we can head towards the Great Beneath and the destruction of this world." He added as he started to reveal the Hilt of the Sword of Plunn-Darr which was carefully hidden from view. "Now it is time for a little re-modeling." The rider stated as he started to unsheathe the hilt's mighty blades so that he could begin.
As soon as the blade started to emerge, the rider/warrior started to get off of the Bio-Bed and started to slash everything in his path. All of the systems in the medical were sliced into tiny pieces while massive sparks started to emit from the medical bay's main computer. A few moments later, fires started to erupt inside the bay causing the entire room to be engulfed by flames. As the warrior saw what was happening he started to head towards the main control room in order to take care of the fools who gave him sanctuary.
As everyone was taking the rider to the medical bay, Ma-Mutt was able to enter the Cat's Lair via the opening inside the big White Lion's mouth. As he entered the mouth, the mummified dog started to head straight towards the main control room. A moment later the mutt has reached his destination and started to look around, a moment afterwards he started to fire his laser eyes as all of the screens and computer terminals. As the beams hit the terminals, all of the systems started to short out and produce small fires. A moment later after seeing what he had done, and feeling proud of it, the dog flew away back into the hall to meet up with it's ally to continue their mission.
A moment later a female Thunderian started to approach the room.
"Why does it feel hot in here all of a sudden?" She stated as she started to open the control room doors. "GREAT JAGA! FIRE!" She yelled and started to cough as she started to try and find an extinguisher to put out the flames. ":cough: This is going to hurt." She added when she saw the device on the opposite side of the room. ":cough: Looks like I have no choice." She added as she started to move through the fires.
As Karen started to go through the fires, she started to feel the intense smoke and heat starting to burn her skin and clothing. A moment later after trying to avoid the flames and keeping herself conscious, she grabbed the fire extinguisher and started to put out all of the fires. Once the flames were out, while still coughing, she then started to look at the damage.
"Great Jaga, this is not good." She stated as she started to press the alarm button on the side panel next to the destroyed monitors.
A moment later all of the alarm throughout the Lair started to come alive and then she started to hear a voice coming from the comm unit.
"Karen, what's the emergency?!" The voice yelled out of the comm unit.
After a moment, Karen started to yell into the comm unit to reply back to Torr and the others.
"TORR, THE CONTROL ROOM, IT'S BEEN SMASHED TO PIECES! ALL OF THE MONITORS ARE DESTROYED AND ALL SYSTEMS ARE DEAD!' Karen yelled into the unit.
"CALM DOWN KAREN!" Torr started to yell back. "WE'LL BE THERE SHORTLY, JUST TURN OFF THE ALARMS FOR NOW!" Torr yelled back as the comm unit went dead.
After Torr's statement, Karen pushed a few working buttons in order to turn off the alarms.
"How did this happen?" She stated as the other started to join her in the control room.
"GREAT JAGA! Ran shouted as the others saw the destruction and small piles of smoke remaining. "Karen, what happened here?"
"I don't know Ran." She replied while still with a confused look on her face.
"Karen, are you alright?" Torr asked with concern as he started to see the burns on her skin and dried smoke ash on her face and clothing.
"I'll be fine but I think we better check in on our friend down in the medical wing."
"I think you're right about that Karen." Kara started to say with a determined look on her face. "All of this happening can't be a coincidence."
"You think this is part of something bigger?" Ran asked with concern.
"All I know is that we better go and find out." Kara replied as the others all nodded their heads before leaving the control room.
"When we get to the medical bay I'll use a thermal regeneration to patch up those burn marks." Kara stated in her most caring and honest tone."
"Thanks Kara" Karen replied as they were walking down a hallway of mirrors.
"I think that maybe you should keep maybe one or two of those burns Karen." Ran started to say with a smile on his face.
"Oh? And why is that?" Karen asked with some wonder.
"I think that they bring out the color in your eyes" Ran stated as Karen give him a shove in his chest.
"Alright you too, that is enough of that." Torr stated as they started to approach the door to the medical bay.
"Wait Torr." Kara started to say as she made everyone stop in their tracks. "Can't you feel it?"
"Feel what?" Ran stated in a confused tone.
"Now that you mention it, I am feeling a little heat coming from the room." Torr replied as they all stopped a few meters away from the electronic eye of the medical doors. "Ran, Karen, get some extinguishers from the supply room. I have a feeling we are going to need them."
"Right Torr." Both Karen and Ran stated before they both ran off to the supply room.
"You think that we might have a situation here Torr?" Kara asked with some concern.
"Yes, plus we don't know how all of this stuff started in the first place."
"And all of this stuff happened when we found that red haired rider outside the Lair."
"He must be up to something."
"But what? I mean what could he get from attacking us?"
"I don't know, but I don't think that we are going to like the answer once we find out."
After a few moments, both Karen and Ran finally returned with two cans of Fire Extinguishers from the supply room.
"Here are the extinguishers you asked for Torr." Ran stated while both himself and Karen were catching their breath.
"Are you both OK?" Kara started to ask. "You both look a little outta breath."
"I guess that we are a little outta shape." Ran replied in his most honest and embarrassed tone.
"The smoke didn't help much either." Karen added.
"Well if you both are up to it, then we can go inside." Torr stated as he started to approach the doors with Karen and Ran right beside him." Get ready you two." Torr stated as the doors to the medical wing started to open.
As the doors to the medical wing started to open, all four members of the group started to feel the intense heat coming from all of the fires that had been started a while ago. As the flames continued to rise up and down, Karen and Ran started to use their extinguishers to try and contain the fires. As they continued to try and fan the flames, Torr and Kara started to head towards a switch on the wall to turn on the fire suppression system, which was disabled when the main control room was smashed.
As Torr and Kara continued to run towards the manual override panel, both Karen and Ran started to follow them in order to keep the flames at bay. As they all continued to go through and control the fires, sparks coming from inside the flames started to impact both Torr and Kara's clothing and skin causing them great pain.
"We need to reach that panel." Torr stated while in intense pain.
"We will Torr, don't give up." Kara replied as they both reached the panel.
"Ugh, we something to break his panel open." Torr stated while noticing that the entire panel was fused shut from the heat of the fires.
"Here, use this Torr." Ran stated while passing Torr his extinguisher.
"You'd better hurry Torr. I'm running out of fluid here." Karen stated while noticing that her extinguisher was running low.
"Alright everyone. Get back!" Torr shouted as he used the extinguisher to break open the panel to reveal the manual lever.
As Torr used the extinguisher to break open the panel, pieces of color glass started to impact the floor as the others tried to avoid them as well as the flames inside the control room. After Torr made sure that there was no more pieces of glass in the way, he started to reach for the lever. As Torr was about to grab it he noticed that is was red hot from all of heat inside the room. A moment after realizing that, the Thunderian started to rip part of his clothing off to make a protective glove for his hand. After his hand was secure, he started to grab the lever and pull it down.
"Let's hope the system still works. Here we go." Torr stated as he pulled down the lever.
As Soon as Torr finished pulling down the level to the fire suppressant system, vents started to open up to try and extinguish the fires by removing all of the oxygen in the room. As the air was being taken out, all of the Thunderians started to hold their breath until the process was completed. After a few moments, the flames inside the medical bay were out, before the vents closed and oxygen started to be pumped back inside.
"That's better." Ran stated as they all started to breathe again.
"We had better find that rider before he causes any more damage to the Lair." Torr stated as the others nod their heads. "Wait. Kara, I want you and Karen to try and get the radio working and send a message to the Thundercats right away. They need to know about our situation."
"But what about you and Ran?" Kara stated in her most worried and caring tone.
"We'll be fine, but you have to get in contact with the Thundercats right away."
"Alright. Karen and I will take care of it."
"But how, all of the systems in the control room have been smashed to pieces." Karen asked while feeling concerned.
"There should be an emergency transmitter in the Hanger next to the Whisker." Torr replied in his most honest tone. "Panthro installed it just in case of emergency."
"I doubt he ever thought that we would have to use it now." Ran added in a sarcastic tone.
"Never mind about that Ran." Torr stated while looking at Karen and Kara. "Now you two better get going. Ran and I will stay here and try to clean up this mess and look for our friend."
"Right Torr. Kara stated as she and Karen started to leave the medical wing."
"Kara." Torr stated making Kara and Karen stop in their tracks.
"Yes Torr." Kara replied as she started to look at Torr.
"Just be careful you two, and Kara good luck."
"Same to you Torr." Kara replied as she and Karen started to leave the medical bay and straight towards the Whisker hanger.
As the Thunderians started to split up, down the hallway a lone figure was watching everything. As the warrior continued to watch he heard Karen and Kara saying that they were heading towards the Whisker to use the emergency transmitter. After a moment the warrior started to follow them.
"That's it you fools." The warrior started to think as he continued to follow the two female Thunderians. "Show me the way to your Whisker and then the destruction of this planet will begin." He added as he continued to follow from the darkness.
Unaware of who was following them, the two female Thunderians were continuing to run towards the hanger where the emergency transmitter was located. As they continued to head towards in that direction, both of them started to talk to each other.
"Kara, do you think the others will be fine?" Karen asked as they kept running to their destination.
"I'm sure they will be fine Karen." Kara relied as she kept run with Karen.
"I hope so. It's just."
"Just what Karen?"
"I don't know. It feels like someone is following us."
"I'm sure it is nothing Karen, You can be a little on edge sometimes."
"Maybe that's it, but I still feel that something is wrong. I just can't explain it"
"Well we are just about there. If someone is following us then we will deal with it. For now we have to contact the Thundercats right away."
"Alright, you win Kara." Karen replied as they both approached the doors to the Whisker hanger.
As the two female Thunderians arrived at the metal doors to the Whisker Hanger, their shadow started to hide inside a shadow inside the hallway, while waiting for someone to join him.
"Where are you Ma-Mutt?" The warrior started to say in a whisper tone. "Look I can't wait forever, if you don't show up soon to help me take them out then I will have to do it myself." He added as the metal doors started to open.
After the warrior's silent statement, he started to feel a presence right next to him.
"Don't do that Ma-Mutt." The warrior stated while keeping his voice down.
After the Warrior's statement, Ma-Mutt just started to whimper as his eyes started to glow red for a moment.
"It's alright boy, I know you didn't mean to." The Warrior started to say. "Now before we begin with the next phase of the plan, can you please change me back into some more appropriate clothing." He added as Ma-Mutt-s eyes started to glow red again.
No sooner did the warrior completed his statement, Ma-Mutt's eyes started to hit him once again with it's lasers changing his clothing. As the beams continued to strike the warrior, his shredder clothing and fake cuts and bruises started to disappear and then started to be replaced by his warrior clothing and golden armor. As the beams finally started to disappear from sight, the warrior's clothing was finally transformed into the war clothing that Mumm-Ra had given to him back in his Dark Pyramid. As the warrior finally stood up, the emblem of his leader finally materialized on the center of his armor. Now the warrior was ready to carry out his mission and strike down anyone who got in his way.
As the warrior was finally ready to strike, both Karen and Kara had entered the hanger and turned on the light switch near the entrance. As the lights started to come on, both of the female Thunderians saw a large Brown and Orange vehicle with a cat face becoming illuminated by the light. This was the Whisker vehicle that was used to hunt for the Treasure of Thundera when it once was spread out all over the planet. As they both continued to enter, Kara finally saw the emergency comm unit on the wall near the recharging unit for the vehicle.
"Hurry Kara." Karen started to say. "Contact the Thundercats back on Third Earth."
After hearing Karen's statement, Kara switched on the transmitter and started to speak into the unit.
"New Thundera to Thundercats, come in Thundercats." She spoke into the machine. After a moment of silence Kara tried again. "Thundercats, we need your help please respond."
"KARA, WATCH OUT!" Karen yelled as she grabbed Kara and moved herself and Kara out of the way of a deadly energy beam heading towards them.
As the beam struck the transmitter, it started to explode into red hot flames.
"What happened? "Kara asked with concern..
"What happened is that I missed killing you, but that will soon change." A voice stated from behind the Thunderians.
As soon as both female Thunderians heard this, they both turned around to see a stranger wearing black clothing as well as golden armor and the symbol of his master on the center of his chest plate.
"Who are you?" Kara asked while starting to get a strange feeling about all of this.
"You know who I am. Thanks by the way for bringing me into your home and leading me to my prize. Now I can destroy this planet for my master Mumm-Ra." The golden warrior stated while he started to aim his ring at the two females.
"MUMM-RA!" Both female Thunderians yelled in shock.
"Yes. Now die." The warrior stated as he started to raise his ring at the two females. "Darkness Fire Blast!" He yelled as a giant ball of fire started to appear from his ring and heading towards the two females.
"Kara, watch out!" Karen yelled as she managed to get herself and Kara out of range before the fireball struck.
"Who are you and why are you doing this to us?" Kara asked as she started to notice small burn marks on Karen's shoulder and legs.
"My name is Wheeler, and I am going to get revenge on the Thundercats and their allies for killing my wife and my family. Even if I have to destroy this planet in the process. Now step aside so that I can pilot this craft to your destruction." Wheeler stated in his most angered and determined tone.
"NO! I WON'T ALLOW YOU TO DESTROY OUR HOME AGAIN!" Kara yelled as she started to place herself between Wheeler and the Whisker's cockpit.
"If you wish to die, than that can be arranged." Wheeler stated as he started to reveal the blades from the Sword of Plun-Darr. "My sword has been calling out for blood for a while now, and I wouldn't want to disappoint. Now die Thunderian." Wheeler finished as he started to throw his sword at Kara.
As Kara watched, the Sword of Plun-Darr started to spin faster and faster until it became a flying disc of pure energy. As she continued to stand her ground, she also realized that her life was going to be over and realized that she never got the chance to spend the rest of it with the one she loves. As the spinning blades continued to get closer to her, Kara closed her eyes and prepared herself for the end to come. As the blades nearly reached her torso, and energy beam started to blast the swords, completely altering it's direction and misses Kara completely.
As the Swords started to return the Wheeler's hands, he started to shift his attention to see where the laser blast came from.
"Now why did you do that for?" Wheeler asked after seeing that the laser blast came from Karen's direction.
"I won't let you hurt anyone ever again you fiend." Karen stated while trying to keep her balance from her ordeal earlier.
"No Karen. Get help quickly." Kara stated as she opened her eyes to see Wheeler approaching her best friend.
"You be quiet." Wheeler stated to Kara while looking at Karen. "So you want to be first instead. That can be arranged." He added as he started to aim his ring at Karen. "DARKNESS F-" Wheeler started to shout when everyone heard something.
"HOLD IT RIGHT THERE!" A voice shouted from outside the Hanger doors.
After hearing the voice, everyone started to turn their attention towards where the voice came from. As they all turned around, they started to see a male Thunderian holding laser rifle aimed at Wheeler's face. After a moment the Thunderian started to speak.
"Why are you doing this to us?" The Thunderian started to say. "We have done nothing to deserve this."
"You are wrong about that." Wheeler responded while aiming his ring at the Thunderian. "Now how about you tell me your name pal before I destroy you and kill your girlfriend here." He added as he started to gesture towards Kara on the right side of him.
"Leave her alone you MONSTER." The Thunderian started to yell in his most angered tone.
"Na. I think I'll kill her first just for fun." Wheeler replied as he finished aiming his ring at Kara.
"TORR! PLEASE! TAKE THE SHOT IF YOU HAVE TO!" Kara yelled in a panicked tone.
"Torr… Thanks for telling me his name Thunderian, now he can watch as you and your friend die." Wheeler stated as he is about to shout his next words. "DARKNESS FIRE!" He shouted.
As the blacked red beam started to emerge from his ring, the warrior was momentary knocked off balance by a scanning device left on a table near Karen. As the device struck Wheeler, his beam went off target and missed Kara's body completely, while impacting the wall behind her.
"You are going to pay for that Thunderian." Wheeler stated as he started to shift his attention towards Karen. "Now take this and die." Wheeler added as he started to spin the Sword of Plun-Darr faster and faster until waves of pure fire started to emerge from it and strike Karen's body.
As the waves of fire continued to emit from the Sword's mighty blades, Karen was being struck with so much force and intense heat that she was completely thrown back into the far wall where a series of metal pipes were being stashed. As Karen's body was thrown back into the pipes, the metal sound started to echo throughout the entire room, making an excellent distraction for Wheeler to get into the cockpit controls of the Whisker.
"Where do you think you are going?!" Torr shouted as he aimed his laser pistol at Wheeler while Kara went to check in on Karen.
"I told you, I am going to destroy everyone for killing my family." Wheeler replied while he was still heading towards the Whisker's controls.
"I won't let you-" Torr started to say until Kara shouted to Torr.
"TORR! NEVER MIND ABOUT HIM! WE HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF KAREN! SHE IS IN BAD SHAPE!" Kara yelled as Torr started to head towards both female Thunderians.
As Torr approached Kara they both saw Karen on the floor while being impaled by two of the steel pipes. These small steel pipes went right through Karen's right arm and the left side of her chest. As they both continued to check if Karen was alright, Wheeler was able to enter the main cockpit of the Whisker and signaled Ma-Mutt to join him inside the vehicle. A moment later, the Whisker started to rise off the ground and fly off into the sky, leaving Torr and Kara alone while trying to help Karen.
"Karen, can you hear me?" Torr asked while trying to find a way of getting those metal pipes out of Karen's body.
"Uh….." Karen started to say while being in intense pain. "What…What happened? I….. feel so strange."
"Karen, conserve your strength." Torr stated while looking at Kara. "Kara, get Ran and something to help get Karen back to the medical bay. We have to stabilize her condition."
"Right away Torr." Kara stated while Torr continued to try and help Karen.
After Torr's statement, Kara started to run out of the hanger and straight towards the medical bay where Ran was still trying to clean up the mess. As Kara left the hangar, Torr started to try and comfort Karen while looking for something to try and free her body from the metal pipes.
"Torr." Karen started to say but in a weakened tone. "What's happening?"
"Take it easy Karen, everything will be alright." Torr stated while looking for some kind of torch.
"Torr, tell me what is happening right now before I-" Karen started to say before looking down at her body and seeing what has happened to her. "Torr, what happened to me?"
"Take it easy Karen, try to calm down."
"I won't calm down until you tell me what happened to me and why I can't move."
"Karen, you were thrown into the metal pipes by that warrior's sword and then impaled by two in your right arm and chest. You're not bleeding now , but I'm afraid that if I can't get these metal pipes out of you and soon, you will die from internal bleeding."
"You really had to tell me that." Karen stated while coughing up some blood.
"Karen, you will be fine." Torr stated as he managed to find a piece of cloth to wipe the blood from Karen's mouth, "I just need to find something to cut you loose.
"Torr, am I going to die?" Karen asked while starting to feel weaker.
"No Karen, you are not going to die." Torr replied as he finally found a cutting tool to help free Karen.
As Torr started to use the cutting tool, Kara and Ran finally arrived back towards the Hangar with a portable gurney and medical supplies. As they both entered the room Ran was almost in a state of shock when he saw the person he cares most about impaled by two metal pipes.
"KAREN!" Ran shouted as he started to see Torr trying to burn one of the metal pipes.
"RAN! DON'T COME ANY CLOSER!" Torr yelled to stop Ran in his tracks.
"Torr I want to help." Ran replied in his most angered and caring tone.
"I know you do Ran, but I have to be precise with my cutting or I could make these wounds worse. Karen is already bleeding internally and I am trying to cut off enough of the pipes so that we can move her back to the medical bay."
"What can I do to help?"
"Try to keep her calm while I continue." Torr stated while part of the part started to glow red. "This might start to hurt you Karen. Please be strong." He added as the pipe continued to get hot from the cutting tool.
"I can take it." Karen replied as she started to sweat from the heat of the cutting tool.
"Karen you must be strong and hold on." Ran stated while trying to approach Karen without making Torr mad.
"A little more and there." Torr stated as the pipe above her chest was cut off. "Now to work on the one in her arm." Torr added as he started to look at Ran. "Ran you can come closer now but please try to keep Karen calm while I work." Torr stated while now looking at Kara. "Kara, please get the gurney ready to go, we will have to act fast to get these pipes out of her right away."
"Right Torr." Kara replied as she started to get the gurney ready for Karen to take back to the medical bay.
As Torr began to work on the pipe in Karen's right arm, the intense heat started to affect Karen's body.
"Torr, you have to stop." Ran stated while seeing the pain Karen was in.
"Karen, can you hold on a little longer? I have to cut this pipe in order to move you." Torr stated while still trying to cut the pipe off.
"I don't know….. The pain….. It's so intense….. Help me please…" Karen stated before the intense pain caused her to blackout.
"KAREN!" Ran yelled in a panicked tone.
"I have to finish this." Torr stated while continuing to cut off the pipe.
"Torr, you are going to kill her." Ran stated while trying to keep himself together.
"If I don't try to finish this Ran, Karen will die from all of the internal bleeding. I have to hurry." Torr stated as he started to adjust the cutting tool's heat to maximum.
"Torr, please tell me that Karen will be alright." Kara asked with worry in her tone.
"I don't know Kara. I just don't know." Torr replied as he was almost through the pipe. "Ran be ready to help me lift her up onto the gurney." Torr added as Ran started to nod his head.
"All right but please be careful Torr." Ran replied while feeling helpless.
"I will Ran." Torr stated as the pipe was about to cut through. "Alright Ran get ready, the pipe is now… off." Torr stated as the pipe above Karen's right arm was finally severed. "Now, we have to move her now." Torr added with determination in his tone.
As soon as the metal pipe was finally cut off from the top of Karen's right arm, Torr and Ran started to gently pick up the now unconscious Karen from the floor. As they both continued to gently pick her up, the metal pipes still in her chest and right arm were making it difficult to move her to the gurney for transport to the medical bay. As they both finally managed to get Karen off the floor, Torr started to notice blood on the floor which was covered by Karen's body before her started the procedure.
"We have to get her to the medical bay and fast." Torr stated while finally getting Karen on the gurney with Ran's help.
"Torr, what's wrong?" Kara asked with much concern in her tone.
"Karen was bleeding out while she was impaled. I didn't notice it before cause her body was covering it. She has lost a lot of blood. We have to hurry, if we are going to save her." Torr stated in his most determined tone as Kara started to power up the gurney's power supply.
"Torr, I'll get Karen to the medical bay, you and Kara get what you need to save her life." Ran stated as he started to move Karen out of the hangar and straight towards the medical bay.
"Alright Ran, but hurry. There is no time to waste." Torr replied as Ran took Karen away.
"Torr what are we gonna do?" Kara asked while Torr started to think very hard.
"First of all we need to find a way to save Karen's life and get those pipes out of her. We also need some blood to keep her alive. I could probably enduse a coma, but that would only last for so long."
"And what about the medical bay? The medical computers are all smashed and who know about all of the supplies there as well.?" Kara stated with much concern in her tone.
"We have to do something." Torr stated as he started to leave the hangar with Kara. "Kara, when we get to the medical bay, put Karen into a medical coma while I try to get the computer back online. At the same time have Ran check the supplies for any blood that we could use."
"Right Torr." Kara replied as they both started to head back towards the medical bay.
Unaware of the plan set in motion by Mumm-Ra and his allies in evil, the Feliner with Lion-O, Panthro, Gi and Linka continue to travel through the deepness of space on their way home to New Thundera. As the flight continued to go without any problems, both Gi and Linka fell asleep in order to try to get their strength back from their ordeals. As they both continued to get some rest, Pantho and Lion-O started to talk about their next moves.
"What's on your mind Lion-O?" Panthro asked with a curious tone.
"I'm just hoping that the guardian might be able to help us save Wheeler from Mumm-Ra's power." Lion-O replied in his most honest tone.
"I know what you mean. I can't imagine what our new friends are going through. We've always been able to beat Mumm-Ra's evil spells but this time."
"I know Panthro. This time we might not be able to defeat his magic, but we have to try."
"And we will Lion-O." Panthro started to say while placing his left hand on Lion-O's right shoulder. "We will save Wheeler and then get them all home."
"You're right Panthro. We will save their friend and get them all home." Lion-O stated as the Sword of Omens started to come alive.
"Lion-O your sword." Panthro stated as both he and Lion-O heard the noise coming from the sword.
After Panthro's statement Lion-O started to grab the sword from his Claw Shield as the noise also started to wake up the sleeping Planeteers.
"What's going on?" Gi asked while Lion-O was getting his sword.
"We're about to find out Gi." Lion-O replied as he started to place the sword in front of his face. "Sword of Omens, give me Sight beyond Sight." Lion-O added as the Sword's cross bars started to curl once again into seeing eye sockets.
As Lion-O started to look into the Sword of Omens, both of his eyes started top glow orange as the Cat's Eye inside the sword also started to glow bright white. As Lion-O continued to look into the sword, he started to see images of trouble happening on New Thundera's Cat's Lair and their friends inside the building.
"Panthro, how long before we get to New Thundera?" Lion-O asked in a curious and determined tone.
"Not for another day at least. Why?" Panthro replied in a curious tone.
"New Thundera is under attack."
"What?"
"Our people on New Thundera are under attack."
"Do you think it is Wheeler?" Linka asked while starting to feel sick in her stomach.
"I don't know Linka." Lion-O replied as he started to shift his attention to Panthro. "Panthro, is there any way to get to New Thundera faster?"
"There might be a way, but it is very dangerous." Panthro stated in a worried tone.
"We have to try." Gi started to say. "We have to take the risk, whatever it is."
"Alright then, Linka I'll need your help with this."
"Da Panthro, just tell me what to do." Links replied in her most determined tone.
"What are you up to Panthro?" Lion-O asked while starting to wonder as well.
"Tygra and I installed a prototype faster than light engine, but we never had a chance to test it or to see if it will work."
"This looks like a perfect time for that test Panthro."
"The only problem is that by using this engine, it will completely drain all of the power in our Thundrillum power cell."
"If that did happen, could the backup power supply keep us flying for a while?"
"Only for about 10 minutes, but if this doesn't work, then we could all die in the cold vacuum of space."
"Gi, Linka, you both heard what Panthro said. I won't ask you to put your lives on the line. It must be your decision to make."
"There is no decision to make. I choose to take the risk." Gi stated in her most honest tone.
"Da. Me too. We must get to your home and stop whoever is attacking it." Linka added.
"Alright then, Panthro tell Linka what to do." Lion-O replied in his most honest tone.
"Linka, when I give you the signal, I want you to transfer all of the power from the Thundrillium cell into the engine. We only have enough power for one shot." Panthro stated while starting to work on his coordinates.
"Da Panthro. I will also find a way to keep some of the power in reserve just in case." Linka replied as she started to press some buttons on her side of the control panel.
"Lion-O, I need you and Gi to get the engine online."
"Alright Panthro just tell us both what to do." Lion-O stated in his most determined tone.
"Gi, I need you to open up the directory on the Feliner's main computer to the folder marked FDL. Lion-O, I need you to make sure that all systems inside the engine can handle the energy output."
"Right Panthro." Gi replied as she started to follow Panthro's instructions to the letter.
"Good Gi, now type in the following command. :Fdl online/energy output to maximum:"
"Done Panthro."
"Linka, you confirm?"
"Da Panthro I confirm." Linka replied in her most honest tone.
"Lion-O, are all systems ready for the energy transfer to the FDL?" Panthro asked.
"Looks like all systems are ready to go Panthro." Lion-O replied in his most honest tone.
"Alright everyone, I'm bringing the FDL engine online." Panthro replied as he started to press a few buttons on his side of the control panel.
As soon as Panthro was finished pushing some buttons on his panel, a blue light started to emit from underneath the Feliner's hull. This blue light was the signal that the FDL engine was coming online and was ready for usage.
"Lion-O, check the status of the engine." Panthro stated as the engine was ready to activate.
"All systems look good to go Panthro." Lion-O replied.
"I'm entering the coordinates for New Thundera. If all goes well we should arrive there in just a moment."
"Wait a moment Panthro, I just need one more minute." Linka stated before Panthro could activate the drive.
"What are you doing Linka?" Gi asked with some wonder.
"Just finishing up a new sub-routine that should help us, I hope." Linka replied as she started to give the Panthro the go ahead signal.
"Activating the engine…. Now." Panthro stated as he started to activate the FDL engine.
As Panthro activated the FDL engine, the entire Feliner started to glow a bright blue light that started to completely envelope the vehicle in an energy bubble. Within moments the energy bubble disappeared from deep space without a trace.
In another part of the universe, a blue light started to emerge out of nowhere. That blue light was the FDL engine powering the Thundercat's Feliner. As the light finally disappeared, the vehicle started to emerge only a few miles from the Thundercats home of New Thundera. As the Thundercats and Planeteers started to get their bearings, something strange started to happen inside the craft.
"Panthro, what's going on?" Lion-O asked while systems were starting to shut down inside the vehicle.
"I was afraid of this, the FDL has drained all available power from the Thundrillium." Panthro replied in his most honest tone.
"Can you do something?"
"I don't know."
"Hold up a moment Panthro, I think we should be getting some power back right about now." Linka stated as systems onboard the vehicle started to come back online.
"Linka, what did you do?" Gi asked with wonder about what her best friend did.
"It's the sub-routine I inputted before we left."
"What was it that you did Linka?" Panthro asked with wonder and curiosity in his tone.
"I managed to transfer a small amount of power to a backup system to activate just in case all of the rest was drained, but I'm afraid that it will only last for an hour."
"That should be enough time to get to the Lair on New Thundera." Lion-O stated while looking at Panthro. "Panthro, take us home."
"You got it Lion-O." Panthro replied as he started to pilot the Feliner back towards the Cat's Lair on New Thundera.
"Wait a moment Panthro, I think I'm picking up a transmission of some kind." Gi stated while looking at the controls.
"That is a transmission. Panthro can we receive it?" Lion-O asked with wonder.
"I believe so Lion-O, one moment." Panthro added as the Feliner started to receive the transmission from the Cat's Lair.
"New Thundera to Thundercats, come in Thundercats." A female voice stated before starting again. "Thundercats, we need your help please respond." The voice stated before the transmission went dead.
"That's the whole transmission Lion-O." Panthro stated in his most honest tone.
"Panthro, get us to the Lair and hurry." Lion-O stated in a angered tone.
"Lion-O please calm down. Until we know what is happening, we can't afford to do anything rash." Gi stated while seeing the anger in both Panthro and Lion-O's faces.
"Da, I agree with Gi. You are both Thundercats and you must know that going into any situation with anger on your minds is suicide." Linka added as the anger on both Lion-O's and Panthro's faces started to fade.
"You're right Linka, Gi, we are Thundercats." Panthro stated in a much more calmer tone.
"Thank you both for snapping us back to reality." Lion-O added.
"No problem but we should hurry, the power supply is going fast." Linka replied.
"You heard her Panthro, take us home and don't spare the Thundrillium."
"Right away Lion-O." Panthro replied as he started to pilot the Feliner towards their home.
As Panthro started to pilot the Feliner down towards their home base on New Thundera, both Gi and Linka were in complete awe while seeing the Thundercats home planet. As they continued to fly over their planet, both Gi and Linka continued to be amazed by the scenery that they were looking at. The beautiful forests, the mountains, the lakes and rivers, it was hard to believe that years ago, this planet was a planet of danger and destruction.
"Lion-O, your home planet is beautiful." Gi started to say while still enjoying everything.
"Da. I've never seen anything like this before. I just wish that our home planet was like this." Linka added.
"It will be Linka, once we get back home." Gi replied as she placed her right hand on Linka's left shoulder.
"Thanks Gi."
"Your welcome Linka."
"Alright you two, heads up, we're approaching the Lair," Lion-O stated as the Feliner started to approach the Thundercat's Lair on New Thundera.
As the Feliner started to approach their Thundarian Lair, they started to fly past statues of Thundercats made up of solid rock. After a moment they started top see two of the statues in front of the Lair like guardians. Each statue was knelling down in front of one of the Lair's giant White rock claws. After a moment of flying the Thundercats started to see something weird coming from inside the lair.
"Lion-O!" Panthro shouted as he started to see black smoke coming from their home.
"I see it Panthro." Lion-O replied. "We got to get that smoke away from our home and see what the damage is."
"I can handle the smoke guys." Linka stated while aiming her ring at the glass cockpit. "WIND!" She shouted as her ring started to emit a white energy pinwheel in front of her ring.
As Linka started to use her power, a small tornado started to appear right next to the White Marble Lion's head. As the tornado continued to spin, it started to absorb all of the black smoke coming from the Thundercat's Thundarian home inside itself before sending all of the smoke into deep space. After all of the smoke was taken away from the lair, the tornado vanished.
"That is some power you have there Linka." Panthro stated after seeing Linka's Planeteer ring in action.
"Thanks. It feels good to use it again. It was almost like saying hello again to an old friend." Linka replied in her most honest tone.
"Should we leave you and your power alone for now or can we see if anyone needs any help in the Thundercat's home." Gi stated in a joking mood after hearing Linka's statement from before.
"Very funny Gi. Very funny."
"No time for jokes right now. We are almost out of power." Panthro stated as they were making their final approach. "I'll put us down right in front of the two statues." Panthro added as he continued to try and land the Feliner.
As Panthro continued to handle the controls, both Gi and Linka were still amazed of how beautiful and alien the Thundercat's home planet is from Third Earth and the world that they both came from. As the Feliner made it's final approach to land, the vehicle's wings started to retract back up as the landing gear or metal feet finally went down so that they would hit the ground. A moment later, the Feliner with it's passengers finally landed in front of the lair in between the two kneeling rock statues of Thundercat warriors from the past.
As they all started to exit the vehicle, both Linka and Gi started to walk over towards on of the statues while Lion-O and Panthro started to remove the power cell from the Feliner to be recharged.
"Have you ever seen anything like this before Linka?" Gi asked her best friend as they both continued to look at the statue.
"Nyet. This is all so new to me as well." Linka replied while still in awe.
"I know what you mean. We are on an alien Planet and looking at an alien statue. This is so cool."
"Da, but remember why we are here Gi."
"I know Linka. But I just can't help it."
"I feel the same way Gi." Linka replied as she started to place her right hand on the statue. "Gi, you should feel this. It is like the statue is alive somehow."
After Linka's statement, Gi also placed her right hand on the statue.
"You're right Linka. It does feel like it is alive."
"They are alive in a way." A voice stated from behind both female Planeteers.
After hearing that statement both Gi and Linka took their right hands off the rock statue and turned around to see where the voice came from.
"Lion-O, you mean that they are alive?" Gi asked after seeing Lion-O and Panthro behind them.
"You see after we came back home, Mumm-Ra tried to use these statues to destroy us." Lion-O started to say. "But after the statues figured out that we were Thundercats as well they broke Mumm-Ra's power and then allowed us to build our home here. A small piece of magic still resonates within them so that they would always be there to help us."
"So what you're saying is that they are in a type of suspended animation?" Linka stated while trying to understand what Lion-O had told them.
"In a way yes. Now we had better get inside and see what we can do to help." Lion-O replied as they all started to enter the Cat's Lair.
As the group entered the lair they could still smell the smoke left over from the fires as well as the increased temperatures from the leftover flames. As they continued to walk around, Linka and Gi used their rings to clear a path straight to the main control room. As they all entered, they saw that everything was smashed and ripped apart.
"Panthro, think you could get everything running again?" Lion-O stated while seeing the look of disbelief on Panthro's face.
"I believe so if I can get some help." Panthro replied.
"Good, but we should look around some more just in case anyone else is here."
"Good Idea. Let's head towards the medical bay. Maybe we can find someone there for answers." Panthro stated as the group left the control room and headed towards the medical bay.
As they started to approach the medical bay, the group started to hear voices coming from inside the room as well as someone almost in a panicked state. As they entered they saw Torr, Ran and Kara trying to help their friend Karen who was still in the medical educed coma that Torr had placed her in. After a moment more Lion-O started to speak.
"Torr, what happened here and what happened to Karen?" Lion-O stated as Torr and the others turned around.
"Thundercats, boy am I glad you're here." Torr started to say until he noticed the two females next to Lion-O and Panthro. "Lion-O, who are they?"
"Torr I want you to meet Linka and Gi, friends from another time and the newest members of our Thundercat family."
"Normally I would like to know our new friends, but right now I have to help save Karen's life." Torr replied as he escorted everyone over to Karen's sleeping body on the only working Bio-Bed.
"Vosha moy, what happened to her?" Linka asked while the metal pipes were still inside Karen's chest and right arm.
"We were attacked by someone with red hair and having a strange ring just like-" Ran started to say until he started to notice the rings on Linka's and Gi's fingers. "YOU! YOU DID THIS TO KAREN! YOU AND THAT RED HAIRED WARRIOR WORKING FOR MUMM-RA!" Ran yelled as he grabbed a knife from the medical table.
"Ran calm down right now." Panthro stated while seeing the anger in Ran's face.
"KAREN IS DYING BECAUSE OF YOUR FRIEND AND I AM GOING TO MAKE YOU PAY FOR THAT RIGHT NOW!" Ran yelled as he started to lunge towards the Planeteers with the knife.
"Please forgive me for doing this but WIND!" Linka shouted as a burst of wind started to emit from her ring and impacted Ran.
After Linka's command, everyone watched a small burst of wind emitted from her ring and impacted Ran, causing him to land on the floor while releasing the knife he had in his right hand.
"You'll pay for that." Ran stated as he started to get back to his feet after grabbing the knife again.
"THAT'S ENOUGH RAN!" Torr shouted as he place himself in between both Ran and Linka.
"Torr what are you doing, I need to get them for what their friend did to Karen."
"Ran calm down, look at them and take a very long look. They are Thundercats, and they are here to help us. I know you care about Karen a lot, so do I but we need to work together and save her life. Now calm down and let's see what our new friends can do to help."
After Torr's statement, Ran let go of the knife and then gave a mean look to both Gi and Linka before speaking again.
"If Karen dies, then so do the two of you." Ran stated while still keeping his eyes and both female Planeteers.
"Lion-O, I'm sorry about Ran's outburst." Torr started to say as he approached the group. "I'm also sorry for his reaction towards your new friends."
"It's OK Torr. What can we do to help?" Lion-O asked with wonder and concern.
"We need to get these pipes out of Karen's chest and right arm, but I'm afraid that once we do she will bleed out. I already placed her in a medical coma even though she has some internal bleeding. I just don't have any of her blood type available."
"Why not?" Gi asked with concern for their new friends.
"It was destroyed when Mumm-Ra's warrior destroyed the medical lab. Karen's blood type is very rare, even for Thunderians."
"I might be able to help with the blood type." Linka stated in her most honest tone.
"Of course, you must have the same type of blood. We tried to find a match for you during your ordeal a while back." Gi stated with determination in her voice.
"Da. Torr, do you have a blood transfusion kit available?"
"I believe so." Torr stated to say as he started to look at Kara. "Kara get the transfusion kit and prep this young lady for the procedure right away.
"Right away Torr." Kara stated as she took Linka with her.
"Torr, while Kara preps Linka, please tell us what happened here and this red haired warrior." Lion-O asked in his most honest tone.
"And maybe I can explain who we are and why we are here." Gi added in her most honest tone.
As Linka was being prepared for the blood transfusion, Torr started to explain everything that happened to them when the warrior arrived. As Torr continued to explain everything, tears started to appear on Gi's face while Linka was finally ready to help Karen. A moment later, Torr finished explaining everything to the Thundercats as Gi started to explain their reason for being on New Thundera.
"I see, so you think that the Guardian might know of a way to save Wheeler." Torr stated as they all started to approach Kara, Linka, Ran and Karen.
"That's the idea but first we need to help Karen." Lion-O replied as Kara got everything ready for the procedure.
"OK Torr, we're ready." Kara replied as Linka was laying on a Bio-Bed next to Karen's with a tube in her right are and Karen's left arm.
"This had better work for your sake." Ran injected in his angered tone.
"Listen Ran, drop the anger for now I need you to help get these metal pipes out of Karen." Torr stated as he started to get something to pry the left over metal pipes out of Karen's chest and arm.
"What can we do to help?" Gi stated in her most honest tone.
"I need wet cloths and for starters and when I get these pipes out we will have to act fast."
"I can handle the wet cloths." Gi stated as she spotted some dry burned cloths on one of the empty Bio-Beds.
"How are you gonna get those cloths wet?" Ran started to say. "We barely have enough power for the Bio-Beds."
After Ran's statement, Gi started to aim her ring at the burned cloths before taking a deep breath.
"WATER!" The Asian Planeteer shouted as a blue aura started to emit from her ring.
A moment after Gi's command, one of the leftover fire extinguishers started to emit the same blue aura. A moment later, water started to come out of the extinguisher and hit the burned cloths on the empty Bio-Bed.
"Alright, I'll admit I'm impressed." Ran stated as Gi started to gather the cloths.
"If you are done looking in awe Ran, I could use your help over here." Torr stated as Gi and Ran started to join the others.
As Ran and Gi joined Torr, he was directing both Lion-O and Panthro in order to make sure that Karen does not bleed out while trying to remove the pipes from her chest and arm.
"Panthro, I need you and Lion-O to make sure that Karen doesn't move while I try and remove the pipes." Torr stated while seeing Lion-O and Panthro on either side of Karen's shoulders.
"Are you sure you know what you are doing Torr?" Panthro asked with concern for Karen's life.
"I used to be a doctor back on Thundera, even though I was working for the Baron back then."
"A doctor? Where did you learn?" Lion-O asked with some wonder.
"The staff used to help me learn all sort of skills, just in case their load and master ever had any problems. But I think that should be a story for another time."
"I agree, we need to act fast." Panthro replied.
"All right, I got some pliers and attached a small magnet to help me get these pipes out. Once I do, Gi, I need you to try and contain the blood coming out until I can close the wounds."
"I understand." Gi replied while holding the cloths.
"Ran I need you to help me turn Karen's body to the side once I get the pipe out of her chest. The pipe went all the way through, so I will have to use the thermal re-generator and that will take some time to heal."
"Just do what ever you have to do to save her life, but remember, if she dies then your friends die Lion-O." Ran stated still with anger in his tone.
"After this is over Ran, we are going to have a very long talk about our new friends and your attitude towards them." Lion-O stated while Torr was getting to proceed.
"Alright, Kara when I give you the signal, start the transfusion from Linka into Karen." Torr stated while looking at Karen's body.
"Are you ready Linka?" Kara asked with some concern.
"Da. Let's do this." Linka replied as she started to prepare herself for the transfusion.
"Alright, here we go." Torr stared as the procedure started to go.
As soon as he finished his statement, Torr took the pliers from the small table next to Karen and started to try and remove the pipe from her chest.
"Lion-O, Panthro, hold her down. I need to concentrate on getting the pipe out." Torr stated as he continued to try and remove the pipe.
After Torr's statement, both Lion-O and Panthrop started to put pressure on Karen's shoulders while Torr continued to remove the pipe. As the pipe started to come out, blood from the wound started to emerge both from the wound and from the pipe.
"Gi, apply the cloths now."
"Gotcha Torr." Gi replied as she started to apply the wet cloths on the pipe and on the wound, while trying to absorb as much blood as possible.
"I've almost got it out." Torr stated as Karen started to make noises as the pipe was being removed. "HOLD HER DOWN!" Torr yelled as he continued.
As Torr continued to remove the pipe blood started to emerge from underneath Karen's body while at the same time more blood started to appear from the wound. After another pull, the pipe was finally removed from Karen's chest as more blood started to come out.
"GI, THE CLOTHS!" Torr yelled as more blood started to come out.
"Gotcha Torr." Gi replied as she started to use the cloths as well as apply pressure to the chest wound.
"Ran, help me turn her over to her side. Gi, keep applying pressure to her chest. Lion-O, get me the re-generator from the table." Torr stated as they others did what they were told to do.
"Here's the re-generator Torr." Lion-O stated as he handed Torr the device.
"Thanks Lion-O, now please hold Karen on her side while I use the device."
"Sure." Lion-O replied as he and Panthro continued to hold Karen's body on her side.
As Torr started to use the re-generator, the big wound left over from the steel pipe started to close as less and less blood started to come out. After a moment the wound on Karen's back was completely healed. After that Torr placed the device down and started to speak again.
"Alright, Lion-O Panthro, please turn her back around so that she is laying down. Gi, please stop putting pressure on the wound and get some more cloths."
"Right Torr. "Gi stated as she started to gather the blood filled cloths away from Karen's chest wound.
As Gi removed the cloths, she was surprised by what she was seeing.
"The wound, it's completely closed." Gi stated while looking at the spot where the blood came out from.
"We can fill you in on our tech later Gi, right now we are only half way done." Panthro stated while helping Karen's body to stay still.
"Kara please start the transfusion while I get started on Karen's arm." Torr stated as he started to get the pliers again.
"Right Torr." Kara replied as she turned the knob in the middle of the tubing to start the transfer.
As soon as Kara started to turn the knob on the transfer device, red blood started to come from Linka's right arm, flow into the device and then started to head towards Karen's Left arm. As the blood continued to flow, Torr started to work on removing the metal pipe from Karen's right arm. As Torr continued to remove the pipe, Gi started to apply the same pressure with the wet cloths as before. As the pipe finally came out, blood started to come out from the hole in the female Thunderian's right arm. A moment later, Gi took the wet cloths again and started to cover up the hole on both side while trying to contain the bleeding.
"How's it look Torr?" Ran asked while watching every that was happening.
"I'll let you know in a moment." Torr replied as he started to place the pipe down and grab the re-generator. "Here Gi you can have the honors." He added as he started to hand the device over to Gi.
"Me?" Gi stated while in shock. "I… I… I wouldn't know how to use this device."
"It's easy, just place the device over the wound and press the green button. Then just wait a few moments." Torr stated as Gi took the device.
"Alright, here we go." Gi replied as she placed the blood filled cloths away from herself and Karen's body before she started to use the device.
As Gi took the device from Torr, she started to press the green button on the device. As soon as she pressed the button, she started to use the device. As Gi placed the device over the wound in Karen's right arm, a blue light started to emit from the device and impacted the female Thunderian's skin. Within moments, the wound started to close up and heal, while leaving no trace at all. After the wound was completely healed, Torr gave the signal to Kara to stop the blood transfusion. After Kara received the signal, she turned back the knob, completely cutting off the blood flow from Linka.
"Nice work Kara, now please make sure that Linka rests after giving so much of her blood." Torr stated as he started to remove the tubing from Karen's left shoulder.
"Sure thing," Kara stated as she started to turn her attention to Linka. "Thank you, you might have just saved our friend."
"Da. It was my pleasure." Linka replied as she started to follow Kara so that she could get some rest.
"Torr, how long will Karen be like this?" Ran asked while everyone was cleaning up.
"I had to use some strong drugs to administer the coma, but I'd say a few hours at most." Torr replied as he started to approach Lion-O, Panthro and Gi. "Lion-O, the warrior, he took the Whisker and is heading towards the Great Beneath!" Torr stated as his attention started to shift from helping Karen.
"What?" Lion-O replied in shock. "Panthro we have to get to the Great Beneath right away."
"We can't, our power cell for the Feliner needs time to recharge." Panthro replied in his most honest tone.
"Torr, how long ago did Wheeler leave?" Lion-O asked with wonder.
"I don't know maybe a half hour before you all showed up." Torr replied while still not knowing the exact time.
"Panthro, get to the book and try to get some answers from the guardian."
"Right Lion-O." Panthro stated as Gi started to walk in front of Panthro. "Gi?"
"I'm coming with you and I don't want to hear any excuses about it." Gi stated with a determined look on her face.
"Alright, come on then." Panthro replied as they both left the medical bay.
"Torr we need to recharge the power cell for the Feliner right away." Lion-O stated while Kara was still working on Linka.
"It will take some time to recharge it but we might have another solution." Torr replied as he started to head towards a set of lockers on the other side of the room. "Here this might help." Torr replied as he started to head back with another power cell.
"Isn't this?"
"That's right it's the backup power cell for the Whisker." Torr started to say as he gave the power cell to Lion-O. "There should be enough power inside the cell to get you to the Great Beneath. I can start to recharge the other power cell right away."
"Here you go Torr." Lion-O stated as both he and Torr exchanged power cells.
"Quickly now let's get this power cell installed in the Feliner and you can explain who your new friends are." Torr stated as Kara continued to take care of Linka.
"It is a long story but I will try to keep it short." Lion-O replied as they both started to leave the medical bay and headed outside towards the Feliner.
As Lion-O and Torr started to head towards the Feliner to install the power cell, Gi and Panthro were starting to near the chamber where the Book of Omens rested. As they both continued to walk down the hallway, Gi was almost in a state of shock when she started to see so many mirrors down every hallway in the Lair.
"Um Panthro, can I ask you a question?" Gi asked with a uncertain look on her face.
"Go right ahead Gi." Panthro replied with a smile of his face.
"Why are there so many mirrors here?"
"It is to protect us from Mumm-Ra's evil power of disguise."
"I don't understand."
"You see Mumm-Ra can't stand the look of his own reflection, so when we build our home here, we decided to make it Mumm-Ra proof."
"Can't you do the same with your home back on Third Earth?"
"We can, as a matter of fact I will get started on that when we get home. Would you like to assist me?"
"It would be my pleasure, and maybe the Planeteers can add a few surprises as well."
"I look forward to that." Panthro stated as they both approached a big rocky/metal door with the Thundercats symbol on it. "Here it is, now no matter what happens inside, stay calm."
"Whatever you say Panthro." The young Asian stated as Panthro started to open the door to the book's chamber.
As Panthro and Gi entered the room, torches from inside started to emit fire as the flames started to illuminate the entire room. As the flames continued to illuminate the room, both Panthro and Gi started to see a table with a metal book in the center. As they continued to look on, the metal book had what looks like a metal key next to it, while above the book was the symbol of the Sword of Omens while it sleeps. As they both got their bearings Panthro started to head towards the book while gesturing Gi to follow him.
"Panthro, do you know what you are doing?" Gi asked while looking at Panthro fiddling with the book.
"Of course I do Gi." Panthro started to say while looking at Gi "Why do you ask?"
"I just don't understand."
"What do you not understand?"
"How is using a key with a book gonna help us save Wheeler from Mumm-Ra's power?"
"This key is the only way to safely access the guardian of the book."
"What do you mean by safely?" Gi stated while taking a good look at the table. "Why not use this thing over there?" Gi stated as she grabbed the Thunderscope.
"Gi! Whatever you do don't look at the book with the Thunderscope!" Panthro yelled as Gi started to place the Thunderscope back down on the table.
"Sorry Panthro. I didn't mean to do anything wrong." Gi stated in her most apologetic tone.
"It's alright Gi. Snarf used the Thunderscope to enter the book, but without the sword he couldn't get back."
"I see." Gi started to say while she started to piece together a few things. "So what you were saying that if I used the Thunderscope, it would be a one way trip."
"In a way yes." Panthro replied as he started to reveal a keyhole on the Book of Omens's cover. "The key can go right here." Panthro added as he placed the Thunderkey in the lock and turned the key.
After Panthro placed and turned the key, the symbol of the Thundercats started to come alive with a blue flame in the center. A moment later both Gi and Panthro heard a voice coming from the blue flame.
"You who have opened the book now has access to my knowledge and wisdom, speak and be heard." The voice stated.
"Guardian of the Book of Omens, do you know why we have come before you?" Panthro asked while hoping the Guardian would know everything.
"I have. You seek a way to save your friend from Mumm-Ra's evil spell. The answer I have will not be easy to accomplish, you must confront him and try to bring his true memories back."
"How can we do that , when he wants to destroy us for what Mumm-Ra has shown him." Gi stated while trying not to be rude.
"SILENCE CHILD AND I WILL EXPLAIN!" The voice yelled as Gi started to get angry.
"NOW YOU LISTEN HERE, WHATEVER YOU ARE, I DON'T CARE IF YOU ARE THE GUARDIAN OF THE BOOK, WE NEED TO SAVE WHEELER NOW! SO UNLESS YOU HAVE SOMETHING IMPORTANT TO TELL US THEN YOU ARE JUST WASTING OUR TIME!" Gi yelled back as Panthro had a look of shock on his face.
"Gi, what do you think you are doing?" Panthro asked while hoping the book will not get angry.
"I am trying to get some answers from your Guardian." Gi replied as she started to shift her attention towards Panthro. "We have no time for etiquette Panthro, we need these answers now."
"It has been along time since someone has talked back to me with such passion." The guardian started to say. "You must really care for Wheeler to risk getting me angry at you."
"I care a lot for Wheeler. He is married to my best friend and he is like a brother to me. I would do anything to get him back."
"Be careful of your words my dear, for they may come true."
"What does that mean?"
"My dear, in order to get your friend back, he must be confronted by the one person that cares for him the most. Only then will his memories be restored."
"Restored, but we thought that Mumm-Ra had erased them."
"Mumm-Ra did try to erase them, but the memories found another place to hide until the spell could be broken."
"Are you saying that Wheeler is trying to fight back?"
"He is, but when Mumm-Ra gave him an energy infusion, that only made the darkness stronger. His memories and his will are getting weaker, you must save him with the one who loves him most."
"Guardian, the one who loves him most has given blood to save one of our people. But she will be up for the task." Panthro stated as the book continued to speak.
"She is not the one that needs to confront Wheeler." The Guardian replied.
"I don't understand, you said that Wheeler has to be confronted by the one who loves him the most. We both know that it is Linka. She loves him the most."
"No, she is not the one. YOU ARE THE ONE MY DEAR!" The book yelled.
"Me? I don't understand."
"Yes you do, you have only been fighting it for so long. You must be honest with your feelings and your friend's in order to save him. Now go before it is too late." The guardian stated before the Blue flame disappeared from the Thundercat's symbol on the wall.
"Gi, are you OK?" Panthro asked while sealing up the book.
"I…. I don't know Panthro. What your guardian said to me is a lot to take in." Gi replied while thinking about what the guardian said to her.
"I know but somewhere deep inside you must know what the Guardian said is true."
"Maybe, but I think that in the meantime we should tell the others what happened."
"I agree and we better get to the Great Beneath right away."
"How long will it take us to get there?" Gi asked as they both started to leave the book's chamber.
"Usually about an hour but with the FTL in the Feliner only a few moments."
"Then we had better hurry."
"Gi, lets head back to the medical bay first and check in on Linka, then we better tell Lion-O what happened."
"OK." Gi replied while feeling a little unsure of what she was going to tell her best friend.
"You feeling alright?"
"Just thinking of what I am going to tell Linka and Lion-O."
"Just be honest with everyone and everything will be fine." Panthro replied as they both approached the medical bay.
As both Panthro and Gi entered the Medical Bay, they saw that Lion-O and Torr was missing as well as Linka being on her feet while holding onto Kara's right shoulder. As they both approached, they also noticed that Ran was still by Karen's bedside, waiting for her to wake up from the coma.
"Linka, it is good to see you on your feet." Panthro stated as both he and Gi approached Linka and Kara.
"Da. It is good to be on my feet again. Did you get what we need to save Wheeler?" Linka asked while noticing a sadden look on Gi's face. "Gi? What is it?"
"Linka I." Gi started to say.
"Kara, we should let Gi and Linka be alone for a moment. Is there anywhere they can talk?" Panthro asked in his most hopeful tone.
"They can talk in what's left of the office. All of the fires are out and it should give them both some privacy." Kara stated as she also gestured Gi to come towards Linka.
"Thank you Kara." Gi stated as Linka started to shift off Kara's right shoulder to Gi's left shoulder. "By the way, where did Lion-O and Torr go?"
"Lion-O and Torr went to install the backup power cell from the Whisker into the Feliner." Kara replied.
"I better go help them. Installing a unknown power cell could be dangerous if not installed properly." Panthro replied as he started to leave the medical bay.
"Wait Panthro, I'll go with you." Kara stated while catching up to the Bluish Thundercat. "There is something I want to ask Lion-O anyway." Kara added as they both left the medical bay.
As Panthro and Kara left the medical bay, both Linka and Gi walked into what was left of the Bays's medical office, As they both entered, Gi walked Linka over to a chair so that she could sit down and Gi found another chair and brought it close to Linka's. As Gi started to sit down, her feelings for her best friend made what she has to say more difficult than ever before.
"Gi, what is wrong?" Linka asked while still seeing a sad look on Gi's face.
"Panthro and I got the info for saving Wheeler but it is hard for me to tell you." Gi replied while still feeling sad.
"Why is it hard for you?"
"Because what I am about to tell you might just ruin things between us and you and Wheeler. And I can't do that to you or me!"
"Gi, I promise nothing you say will even ruin our bond. Our friendship is one that I always cherish. Now please tell me what you found out."
"Alright, just promise me that you won't kill the messenger." Gi stated while hoping that Linka will not kill her.
"I promise now please tell me what you found out."
"OK." Gi stated as she took in a deep breath before explaining what the Guardian of the Book Of Omens had told her.
As Gi started to explain what the guardian had said about saving Wheeler, Linka's expression was changing to that of being real excited, and then starting to change to a bit of anger. Linka knew that what Gi was telling her was hard to hear, but deep down Linka also knew about Gi's true feelings for Wheeler. Afterwards Gi, started to tear up while thinking to herself that Linka would not retaliate from everything that was said. After a moment of silence, Linka started to speak.
"Gi, are you sure about what the Guardian had told you? Maybe it was a mistake?" Linka stated while knowing deep in her heart that what she heard was the truth.
I'm sorry Linka, what the Guardian told me was the truth. I am the only one to get through to Wheeler and bring him back." Gi stated while still tearing up. "I just wish that I wasn't!" She yelled in sadness.
"Gi."
"You don't know how frustrating it is to see someone you care about going after someone else and not knowing how the other person feels. You can't understand that person's feelings in this."
"Gi, I do understand."
"You do :snifs:?"
"Yes. I didn't care what so ever about that Yankee when we first met but he kept on pushing, and I saw how you reacted the hole time. You wanted Wheeler to show you all of his affections but he continued to target me. I still don't know why I fell in love with him, but I did."
"It was the same for me as well. I fell in love with him when he first tried to use his ring after Gaia brought us to Hope Island, but when I saw how he cared so much for you after your experience with Bliss, I knew that I lost him right then and there."
"Da. I did fall for him hard after what happened to me and when I lost my cousin Boris, but when he thought I was going to leave the Planeteers for good, that was when I made my true feelings for that Yankee known. I just wish that I could take back that whole moment, well except for the kiss."
"Did you enjoy it?"
"GI!"
"Just asking Linka." Gi replied as Linka started to blush a little while thinking about their kiss from back then. "Soooo, did you enjoy the kiss?"
"Da. It was wonderful."
"I knew it."
"GI!"
"Well I did." Gi stated as they both laughed for a moment. "Thank you for not being mad at me." Gi stated after they stopped laughing.
"Gi, if it is the only way to save Wheeler, then I am not mad at all. We need to save him before-" Linka started to say until a rumbling sound started to effect the Lair.
"LINKA LOOK OUT!" Gi shouted as she pushed Linka out of her chair before a piece of the ceiling came crashing down.
"What was that an Earthquake?" Linka asked as the rumbling started to stop.
"Something tells me that was no ordinary Earthquake." Gi stated while they both started to get up off the floor. As they both started to get back to their feet they both started to see Lion-O, Panthro, Torr and Kara come back into the medical bay.
As Panthro and Gi headed towards the Guardian's chamber, Lion-O and Torr have just arrived at the Feliner outside of the Lair. As they both started to work on installing the power cell, Lion-O started to sense that something was on Torr's mind.
"Torr, is everything alright?" Lion-O asked as they both started to work on the power cell.
"Everything is fine Lion-O, why do you ask?" Torr replied.
"Come on Torr, you know that you can tell me anything."
"It's just."
"It's just what?"
"Kara and I want to be together officially, but with you and the other Thundercats living on Third Earth."
"I can see your point on that Torr. Do you remember when I offered to make you a Thundercat when we first met."
"Yes, back then I wasn't sure that I deserved the title of Thundercat."
"Well I can tell you right now that you have more than deserve that title, and once our mission is complete, I will be happy to anoint you as a Thundercat."
"Thank you, but about my other question?"
"I would be honored to perform the ceremony." Lion-O replied as they continued to install the new power cell.
"Thank you Lion-O, may I ask something else of you?"
"Torr you know you can ask me anything."
"I was wondering if you would perform the same ceremony for Ran and Karen. I know they both love each other even though they don't show it as much."
"Torr, it would be my pleasure to perform the ceremony for them as well."
"Thank you Lion-O."
"No thanks are necessary Torr, in fact, I believe the time had come to make all of you true Thundercats."
"Lion-O, what are you talking about?"
"After I anoint you Torr, I am going to do the same with the others."
"But why?"
"You said it yourself Torr, the Thundercats should be here as well to watch over our home planet. I couldn't think of anyone more worthy of that task then you and your friends."
"Thank you Lion-O. I'm sure that the others will be happy as well." Torr stated as Panthro and Kara started to approach them from the entrance of the Lair.
"Are you boys talking about me?" Kara stated as she gave Torr a hug as Panthro went to see how the install was going.
"Who us? Talking about you? I don't know what you are talking about." Torr replied as Kara released him from her hung and then they all started to laugh a little.
"Actually Torr asked me to perform the ceremony of unity for the two of you." Lion-O replied as Kara started to show a state of shock on her face.
"Torr? You really asked him that?"
"Yes I did and Lion-O said yes." Torr replied as Kara started to give him a more passionate hug.
"It will be my pleasure, but after we save Wheeler." Lion-O started to say as he turned his attention towards Panthro. "Panthro any luck with the Guardian?"
"The Guardian told Gi what she has to do but she is also a little scared about following it through." Panthro stated in his most honest and concerned tone.
"Scared? About what?" Torr asked with concern.
"Gi is afraid of how it will affect the relationship between herself, Linka and Wheeler."
"If it will save Wheeler, then it is worth the risk." Lion-O stated with determination in his tone.
"Lion-O, sometimes making the right decision could be wrong as well. You have to take in other people's feeling as well as your own." Panthro replied while double checking the install.
"I understand Panthro but we also should-." Lion-O started to say until everyone started to feel an earthquake happening at the lair.
"LION-O!" Panthro yelled as the Cat's Lair started to shake.
"I know Panthro." Lion-O replied as the shaking finally stopped.
"Quickly, we'd better make sure that everyone is alright and then get to the Great Beneath. I'm afraid that our worst fears are quickly realized." Panthro stated as everyone left the Feliner and ran back into the Lair.
As the two Thundercats and two female Planeteers headed towards the Cat's Lair, Wheeler and Ma-Mutt, while inside the stolen Whisker was almost at their destination. As Wheeler continued to pilot the vehicle, they both came to an area of the planet that was very dangerous to anyone flying a flight vehicle. As they came closer to their destination, they both saw what looks like pieces of stone rocks floating up and down in the air. This location on New Thundera is called The Churning Rocks. It is called this for all of the rocks floating all around the section above the Great Beneath. As the Whisker started to approach, Wheeler placed the vehicle on hover in order to figure out a way to get inside with getting himself of the vehicle smashed to pieces.
"All right Ma-Mutt." Wheeler stated while looking at the mummified Pit-Bull dog. "Now that we are here I need your help to get this vehicle through without it and me getting destroyed."
After Wheeler's statement, Ma-Mutt's eyes started to glow red for a moment before it went through the glass canopy. As Ma-Mutt started to move ahead of the Whisker, a strange red energy strand started to appear at the front of the Vehicle. After a moment Ma-Mutt started to gustier to Wheeler to release control of the vehicle to him. After releasing control, Ma-Mutt started to tow the Whisker through the Churning rocks towards their destination, As they approached closer, they both saw what looks like a landing pad and some sort a hidden elevator chamber covered in rocks.
After completing the landing procedures for the Whisker, Wheeler after he left the cockpit of the Whisker, approached Ma-Mutt and kneeled down on one knee right in front of the dog.
"Nice job Ma-Mutt." Wheeler stated as he placed his right hand on Ma-Mutt's head. "You got us here without even a scratch. Good boy." He added as Ma-Mutt gave a whimper of joy for the first time ever. "Now all we have to do is get inside and deal with Screwloose and Jagara." He added as he started to get the Sword Of Plun-Darr ready for battle.
As soon as Wheeler extended the blades from the sword, he and Ma-Mutt noticed the entrance into the Great Beneath. As they approached the metal door leading down to their destination, the metal door started to open up to reveal an elevator and deep shaft. After Wheeler and Ma-Mutt entered, the metal door closed and down they went into the Great Beneath.
While Wheeler and Ma-Mutt were heading down the elevator shaft, inside the Great Beneath stood two people in front of a large computer terminal. One of these people was a sophisticated robot and Gyroscope professional named Screwloose. The other person was the guardian of Thundera and the protector of the Great Gyroscope named Jagara. This particular Thunderian has some special powers but is also a master at keeping the Gyroscope properly balanced, cause if the Gyroscope becomes unstable, it could spell the end for New Thundera.
"How goes the diagnostic Screwloose?" Jagara asked while looking at a checklist she and Screwloose created.
"So far so good." Screwloose started to say. "The new terminal upgrades Panthro install years ago are still working without a hitch."
"That's good to hear." Jagara replied as she started to look at the Great Gyroscope. "It is hard to believe that years ago Mumm-Ra destroyed the original Gyroscope and that the Thundercats almost their home again."
"Yes, but thanks to Lion-O and the other Thundercats, this new Gyroscope is keeping the planet together and with our constant maintenance on the unit, we should keep this planet in one piece for many years to come."
"On that I agree Screwloose, it's just that."
"It's just what Jagara?" Screwloose asked with some concern.
"It's just that I sense that something very bad is going to happen very soon. I just can't figure out what it is."
"We both have been working had to maintain the planet's stability, maybe you just need some rest."
"Maybe you're right but-" Jagara stated until they both started to hear the elevator coming down. "Are you expecting anyone Screwloose?"
"No. What about you?"
"Not without letting me knowing ahead of time."
"Then what's going on?" Screwloose asked with concern as the elevator door started to open.
As soon as the elevator door opened Ma-Mutt started to float with teeth showing at both Jagara and Screwloose. At the same time, Wheeler started to emerge with the Sword of Plun-Darr ready to cause some serious damage to everything and everyone in his path. As both Jagara and Screwloose were dealing with Ma-Mutt, they both didn't notice that their worst nightmares were about to come true.
"What are you doing here?" Jagara stated while both she and Screwloose were trying to avoid Ma-Mutt's sharpened nails in his front paws. "Screwloose, watch out." she added.
"Thanks for the warning Jagara, but you should know that metal is hard to crack under any pressure." Screwloose stated as he tried to capture the flying mutt.
"That maybe true for dogs but not for me." A voice stated from the opened elevator.
As Screwloose was dealing with Ma-Mutt, Jagara started to notice a warrior wearing golden armor coming out of the elevator. As she continued to look on she started to see the emblem of the Ever Living force of Evil.
"Who are you? What are you doing here?" Jagara asked with much concern in her tone.
"I am here to destroy the Thundercats home for what they did to me." The warrior stated as he started to show the blades of the Sword of Plun-Darr.
"That sword? How can you wield that sword?" Jagara started to say with much concern and worry in her tone. "Only one with an evil heart can use that sword.
"Yes, I can use this sword and I can also unlock all of the sword's hidden powers. Powers that were unknown even to Mumm-Ra."
"Mumm-Ra?! Why are you working for Mumm-Ra?" Jagara asked with a worried tone in her voice.
"Mumm-Ra showed my what happened to my family. The Thundercats and their allies killed all of them and now I will do the same to their home." The warrior stated as he started to aim his ring at Jagara.
"Listen to me, whatever Mumm-Ra showed you is a complete lie. The Thundercats live by a code and they would never-"
"THEY DID AND NOW I WILL MAKE THEM PAY!" The warrior stated as he was about to unleash his next attack. "DARKNESS INFERNO" The warrior shouted as a massive tornado of fire started to emit from his ring and started to head towards Jagara.
"NO, YOU MUST STOP THIS AT ONCE!" Jagara shouted back as she started to protect herself by creating some type of force shield with her special ability."
"YOUR SHIELD WON'T PROTECT YOU JAGARA!" The warrior shouted as he started to throw his sword at the shield.
"Your sword won't penetrate this shield." Jagara replied as she continued to keep her shield up.
"That maybe true, but what about your friend over by Ma-Mutt." The warrior stated as Jagara started to see the spinning sword heading towards Screwloose and Ma-Mutt. "MA-MUTT, PULL BACK!" The warrior shouted as the sword started to zero in on Screwloose.
"SCREWLOOSE, WATCH OUT!" Jagara shouted as the spinning sword approached Screwloose.
"What the?" Screwloose started to say as the sword started to impact the robot's chest.
"NO SCREWLOOSE!" Jagara shouted as the robot was being sliced in half.
As soon as Jagara shouted her warning to Screwloose, the Sword of Plun-Darr started to pierce his metal body while at the same time, slicing his connections and wiring. After a moment, the robot was completely sliced in two and landed on the floor. As the robot fell to the floor in two pieces, the Sword of Plun-Darr started to return to the warrior's hands.
"SCREWLOOSE! ARE YOU OK?!" Jagara shouted while still keeping up her force field.
"Just… Need…. A…. Little….. Maintenance…" Screwloose stated before powering down.
"You will pay for that." Jagara stated while starting to get much angry at the warrior.
"You get me? Ha." The warrior started to say. "Your shield may protect you from my first attack, but what about this one." The warrior added as the flames from his ring vanished.
"Now what?" Jagara started to whisper. "It took almost all of the strength I have to block that attack. I need the Thundercats here to help me. I have to get in contact with them." She added as the warrior started to speak again.
"DARKNESS INFERNO PRISON!" The warrior shouted, as once again flames started to come out of his ring and started to form a fire cage around Jagara. "Let's see you get out of this one, Jagara." He added as the cage started to surround Jagara.
"No. I must protect myself." Jagara replied as she started to create a personal shield around herself to protect her from the flame's heat.
"Nice, but how long can you keep it up?" The warrior stated while starting top walk over to the captured protector of Thundera. "You are my prisoner and you shall watch the destruction of the Thundercat's home planet first hand." He added as he started to walk over to the control panel.
"NO!" Jagara started to shout "DON'T TOUCH THE REGULATOR! IF IT IS DAMAGED OR REMOVED THE GREAT GYROSCOPE COULD DESTROY ALL OF THE PLANET!"
"Thanks for the info." The warrior stated as he placed his right hand on the regulator. "Ma-Mutt, come here my friend." He added as Ma-Mutt started to come towards him. "Nice work distracting that robot, now witness as I unleash the fires of vengeance upon the Thundercats." He added as he started to move the regulator.
As Wheeler started to move the regulator to the left and right, the Great Gyroscope also started to sway in both directions. As Wheeler continued to move the regulator more, the Gyroscope started to clang against the metal beams causing massive earthquakes above the planet.
"There, that should get their attention." Wheeler stated as he let go of the Regulator control.
"Why are you doing this? Why are you so determined to punish the Thundercats?"
"THEY KILLED MY WIFE AND CHILDREN!" Wheeler shouted in anger. "I WILL DO ANYTHING TO MAKE THEM PAY!"
"But why? I can sense that something inside of you is trying to get out. Please let me help." Jagara stated while the fire cage started to shrink.
"I don't need your help. In one hour that fire cage will completely close in and burn you to death." Wheeler stated while his eyes started to glow red. "Once I take care of the Thundercats and their allies, then my family will be avenged. Now I just have to wait for them to arrive and their deaths will only be moments away."
As Jagara continued to be a prisoner inside the Great Beneath, back at the Cat's Lair, Lion-O, Panthro, Torr and Kara finally reached the medical bay to check in to make sure that everyone was doing OK. After a moment, Linka and Gi started to walk out of the burned Medical Office with Linka still holding onto Gi's left shoulder.
"Is everyone alright?" Lion-O asked with much concern after seeing the damage done by the earthquake.
"Karen and I are fine Lion-O." Ran started to say. "I was able to make sure that Karen was not hurt while she was still out."
"That's great Ran." Torr started to say as he shifted his sight to Linka and Gi. "Are you two OK as well?"
"Da. We are just fine." Linka replied in her most sincere tone.
"I was able to get Linka out of the way before a piece of roof fell down." Gi started to say as she started to shift her gaze to Lion-O. "What happened and where did this earthquake come from?" she asked with much worry in her tone.
"I'm afraid that the news isn't good." Lion-O started to say while trying not to worry his friends. "It would seem that Wheeler is inside the Great Beneath and has access to the Great Gyroscope."
"The what in the where?" Both Gi and Linka stated at the same time.
"It is what keeps our planet stable." Panthro started to say. "You see when we came back to New Thundera, we didn't know at the time but there is a chamber deep in the center of our planet told holds a device called the Great Gyroscope."
"It is that device that keeps our planet stable and from falling apart. It is also maintained by our friend Jagara. She is the keeper of the device and always watching and stabilizing the Gyroscope." Lion-O added.
"What happens if the Gyroscope fails?" Gi asked with much concern.
"If the Gyroscope fails, then all of New Thundera is destroyed."
"Lion-O you don't think." Panthro stated while realizing what happened before their trip.
"This must be what Cheetara felt before we left. Panthro, how long with the Feliner take to get to the Great Beneath?"
"About 30 minutes to an hour."
"What about the FTL engine?"
"I'm not sure that device wasn't designed to work inside a planet's atmosphere."
"There has to be something?" Linka started to say. "We have to save Wheeler and your home."
"Wait a minute Linka. Something doesn't feel right." Gi stated as everyone turned their attention towards the Asian Planeteer.
"What do you mean Gi?" Torr asked with wonder.
"I mean, why didn't Wheeler just smash the controls and let this Gyroscope go completely out of control."
"I think you may be on to something there Gi." Panthro replied. "Lion-O, are you think what I am thinking?"
"I sure am Panthro. It could be a trap." Lion-O replied in his most honest tone.
"Then we have to go in order to spring it." Linka stated in her most determined tone.
"Not so fast Linka. There was something we forgot to tell you earlier." Kara stated while trying no to be rude.
"What is it Kara?" Panthro asked with wonder.
"Your friend, Wheeler was it, he wasn't alone. He had Ma-Mutt with him."
"Ma-Mutt. We should have known, that would be the only way he could get here before us." Panthro stated.
"Panthro, before we leave for the Great Beneath, go to the treasure chamber and bring back the flute. Just in case we have to use it."
"I hear you Lion-O. Be right back." Panthro replied as he started to leave the Medical bay and headed towards the Treasure chamber.
"A flute?" Gi started to say. "Lion-O are you sure this is the right time for some music?"
"This flute can control any animal who hears the music. Linka, Gi, do you know how to play a flute?" Lion-O asked with some wonder.
"I played one when I was a young girl back in my village in the Soviet Union." Linka replied.
"I never tried to play any instrument. I was always traveling with my parents when I was young." Gi replied.
"Well hopefully we might not have to use it but just in case." Lion-O stated.
"Da. We will be ready for anything." Linka replied as Panthro started to return with the flute.
As everyone continued with their conservation, the dark blue skinned Thundercat returned to the medical bay with a strange looking object in his left hand. This object had four holes on both sides of what lookes like a old kind of tuning fork. This object is a special flute, that when played, can control the minds of any animals that hears its music.
"Nice job Panthro." Lion-O stated as Panthro showed the flute to everyone.
"That is the weirdest flute I ever seen." Gi stated as she saw the design of the flute.
"Vosha mio Gi." Linka started to say. "It doesn't matter what the flute looks like, just as long as it can play music."
"Would you care to give it a try Linka?" Panthro asked after Linka's statement.
"Thank you." Linka replied as Panthro handed her the flute. "I haven't played one in a long time, but I think I remember how." She added as she started to move the flute's mouth piece towards her lips.
As Linka started to blow air into the flute, she started to use both of her hands to cover and open each of the four holes on both sides of the musical instrument. As Linka continued to play, everyone in the medical bay was completely blown away by what they heard out of the flute. After Linka was done, she started to think that everyone was under the spell of the flute until they all started to applause her musical talent.
"Linka, that was beautiful. I never knew you could play that good." Lion-O stated after they all stopped applauding.
"Stop it you're embarrassing me." Linka replied as she started to blush.
"I guess what they say about someone is true." Gi stated with a grin on her face.
"What is it that they say Gi?" Panthro asked with wonder.
"You never know what a person can do until they try. Also just when you think you know someone, that person always finds a way to surprise you."
"Bosha moi Gi." Linka replied as she started to blush a little more.
"Alright everyone, I have to spoil the concert and joyful conversation, but we have to focus." Lion-O stated as everyone stopped joking around.
"You're right Lion-O." Panthro started to say in his most honest and determined tone. "We have to get to the Greath Beneath and stop Wheeler before he does any more damage."
"Stop him?! Do you mean kill him?!" Linka started to say while feeling a bit frightened.
"No. We will not kill him Linka, but we have to stop him at whatever the cost." Lion-O stated as Gi was remembering what the book said to her earlier.
"Lion-O, how are we gonna get to the Great Beneath?" Gi asked with wonder in her tone.
"I'll get us there fast." Lion-O started to say as he gestured both Gi and Linka to join him. "Panthro get the Feliner to the Great Beneath as fast as you can. Linka Gi and I will try to save Jagara and stop Wheeler." He added as Both Linka and Gi joined him.
"You got it Lion-O." Panthro replied as he started to run towards the Feliner.
"OK so Panthro is gonna meet us there but how do we get there?" Linka asked with much concern.
"Like this." Lion-O replied as he started to remove the sword from his Claw Shield. "Everyone place you right hand over the Eye of Thundera."
"Wait a moment Lion-O." Torr started to say. "I'm coming with you."
"And me." Kara added.
"No Kara. I need you to stay here and help Ran with Karen. I'll be fine." Torr stated in his most honest and determined tone.
"But Torr."
"No Kara." Torr stated as he started to put both of his hands on Kara's shoulders. "I'll be fine, but the safety of the Lair and our fellow Thunderians takes high priority. Besides, there is no one better that I trust."
"Just promise that you will return in one piece."
"I will." Torr replied as both Torr and Kara started to embrace a romantic hug.
"Torr. We need to go." Lion-O stated while trying no to be rude."
"Right Lion-O." Torr replied as he and Kara broke their romantic hug.
As soon as Torr broke his hug with Kara, the Thundarian started to join Lion-O and the Planeteers. A moment later Torr placed his right hand over the Eye of Thundera, before giving Lion-O the OK to begin.
"Everyone, brace yourselves." Lion-O started to say as the Eye started to awaken. "Sword of Omens, Eye of Thundera, transport us now to the Great Beneath." Lion-O stated as a bright light started to emit from the sword and eye.
As Kara watched, the bright light coming from the sword started to envelope everyone who placed their right hands above the Eye of Thundera. After a moment, the light started to disappear and with the light, the sword and the four people also disappeared from sight.
"Good luck everyone." Kara stated as the light finally vanished from sight.
As the Thundercats and the Planeteers started to put their plan into action, back in the Great Beneath, Wheeler and Ma-Mutt were also working on a plan to destroy thema well.
"Ma-Mutt, come here my friend." Wheeler stated as Ma-Mutt started to approach him. "Now listen carefully to what I need you to do my friend." Wheeler added as he started to whisper something into Ma-Mutt's dog like ear.
As Ma-Mutt's eyes started to glow red after hearing the plan of attack, a bright light started to appear in front of the duo as well as behind Jagara's fiery cage. After a moment both Wheeler and Ma-Mutt started to position themselves for the attack, the light finally started to finally disappear and reveal the unwanted guests into the Great Beneath.
"Where are we?" Gi started to say as they all started to get their bearings. "Are we in the Great Beneath."
"Welcome to your death you fools." Wheeler replied as everyone started to shift their attention towards Wheeler.
"Wheeler, we are here to save you." Lion-O started to say as he started to get his sword ready to battle.
"SAVE ME?! DON'T YOU MEAN TO SAVE JAGARA!" Wheeler shouted as everyone started to shift their attention towards Jagara.
"JAGARA!" Lion-O shouted in surprise.
"Lion-O, don't worry about me. You must stop him from using the Great Gyroscope." Jagara stated as the flame age started to impact her shield.
"Be silent woman. It won't be long now until she is dead. Just like the rest of you will be." Wheeler stated as he started to reveal the Sword of Plun-Darr's blades.
"Wheeler please don't do this. This is not you, you are a good person. Please come back to us." Linka started to say.
"YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHO I AM! YOU KILLED MY WIFE AND MY FAMILY AND NOW I WILL MAKE YOU PAY!"
"Wheeler please don't make us fight you." Gi started to say as she and Linka started to aim their rings at Wheeler.
"You fight me, don't make me laugh." Wheeler started to say as he started to place both of his hands on the Sword of Plun-Darr's hilt. "Now witness a new power that this sword has." He added as Wheeler started to separate the duel bladed sword into two separate swords.
"By Jaga!" Lion-O shouted as he watch Wheeler separate the Sword of Plun-Darr into two separate blades. "That's impossible."
"Witness the impossible, with this!" Wheeler shouted as he started to ignite the flames before throwing both blades at Lion-O.
"HO!" Lion-O shouted to change the sword's form from dagger to long sword. "I'm sorry Wheeler but you leave me no choice." He added as he started to stand ready to fight.
"Then you shall be the first to die." Wheeler replied as the swords started to impact with the Sword of Omens.
"LION-O!" Gi shouted as sparks started to emit from impacting between the swords.
"I'LL HANDLE THIS, GET JAGARA OUT OF THAT CAGE!" Lion-O shouted back as he continued to block the two bladed swords.
As the sparks continued to emit, both Gi and Linka started to head over to the flame cage to try and help Jagara, while at the same time, Torr started to head over to the fallen robot to try and get him working.
"Jagara, are you OK?" Gi asked while trying not to touch the flame cage.
"I'm fine but I can't keep up this shield for much longer." Jagara replied in her most honest tone.
"Don't worry, we'll get you out right away." Linka replied.
"But how?" Jagara asked with wonder.
After Jagara's question, Linka started to shift her attention to Gi and then winked her right eye at the Asian Planeteer. A second later Gi started to aim her ring at the fire cage and shouted her command.
"WATER!" Gi shouted as a light blue aura started to appear in front of her ring.
After her command, a blue aura started to appear underneath the fire suppression system used to put out uncontrolled fires. A moment later, water started to emerge from the system and headed towards the Water Planeteer. As the water stream started to arrive at Gi's location, Wheeler started to counter their rescue attempt.
"MA-MUTT, STRIKE NOW!" Wheeler shouted as Ma-Mutt started to come out of hiding and headed towards the Planeteers.
"GI, LOOK OUT!" Linka shouted as she started to see the dog come out from the shadows.
"QUICKLY LINKA, USE THE FLUTE!" Gi shouted back as she started to aim the stream of water towards the fire cage.
"OH NO YOU DON'T!" Wheeler shouted as he started to aim his ring at the two female Planeteers. "DARKNESS FIRE INFERNO BLAST!" Wheeler shouted as a black beam of fire started to emit from his ring and started to head towards the Planeteers.
"GI, LINKA, WATCH OUT FOR THAT BEAM!" Lion-O shouted while still trying to take care of the duel fire swords.
As Linka was about to use the flute to ward off Ma-Mutt, the instrument was struck by the black beam, causing the instrument to heat up in Linka's hands. After a second, Linka dropped the flute as both of her hands were seriously burned by the heat.
"LINKA!" Gi shouted as Ma-Mutt started to lunge towards her.
"Forgive me Gi." Linka stated as she started to head towards Gi.
"Forgive you? For what?" Gi stated right before Linka pushed her out of the way of the flying dog.
As Linka pushed Gi out of the way from Ma-Mutt's attack, her concentration of the water stream faulted and the water fell to the ground only inches away from the fire cage. As Gi and Linka started to regain their posture, they both saw that the dog ran right into the fire cage and was starting to burn up.
"MA-MUTT! NO!" Wheeler shouted as he started to recall his swords. "Swords, return to your owner." He shouted as the swords started to respond.
As everyone watched the two swords started to return to Wheeler's hands and a second later re-joined into the duel wield sword. As soon as Wheeler re-joined the swords he started to spin the duel-bladed weapon so fast that it started to absorb all of the flames from the fire cage and Ma-Mutt. As the fires on Ma-Mutt started to extinguish, the mummified dog started to whimper before heading back towards it's temporary master.
"Are you alright Ma-Mutt?" Wheeler asked as the dog started to whimper. "YOU WILL ALL PAY FOR THAT!" He shouted as he started to run towards them with his sword still ready to fight.
"WHEELER YOU MUST STOP THIS NOW!" Lion-O shouted as he started to hold his sword while to go into battle again.
"NO WHEELER. THAT'S ENOUGH! WIND!" Linka shouted as a small aura cyclone of wind started to appear on her ring.
As the aura of wind continued to appear, a tornado of wind started to appear right in front of Wheeler.
"SO YOU PLAN TO KILL ME THE SAME WAY YOU DID TRISH! NOT THIS TIME!" Wheeler shouted as he started to swing his sword in the opposite direction while creating a tornado of his own.
As the two tornados started to impact each other the force of the impact started to cause both of them to be completely canceled out. After a moment Gi started to try and get through to Wheeler.
"WHEELER, YOU MUST LISTEN TO US!" Gi started to shout towards Wheeler. "TRISH IS ALIVE! NOTHING THAT MUMM-RA SHOWED YOU WAS REAL! YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE ME!" Gi shouted as she started to remember what the Guardian of the book said to her. "Linka, please forgive me for what I am about to say and do." She thought as she started to walk towards Wheeler.
"GI! WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING?!" Linka shouted as she started to see Gi walk towards the enraged Wheeler.
"WHAT I HAVE TO DO IN ORDER TO GET WHEELER BACK TO US!" Gi replied as she got within a few inches of Wheeler.
"So, you want to be the first to die? Then so be it." Wheeler stated as he started to get his sword ready to strike.
"Wheeler…. I…. I…. I LOVE YOU WHEELER! I LOVE YOU WITH ALL OF MY HEART AND SOUL!" Gi shouted before she started to feel something inside her.
While GI was confessing her deep feelings for Wheeler, Mumm-Ra's servant took the Sword of Plun-Darr and impaled the Asian Planeteer with one of it's blades straight through her chest. As soon as Gi realized what has happened, the brave Planeteer continued to walk towards Wheeler until her face was directly in front of his. As soon as she was in position, Gi used what strength she had left to give Wheeler a very deep and passionate kiss in order to bring him back even if it will cost Gi her life. As her lips started to press against Wheeler's something strange started to happen.
As the blade from the Sword of Plun-Darr started to emerge from the back of Gi's chest, Linka and Lion-O as well as Jagara saw what was happening but couldn't do anything.
"GI! NO!" Linka yelled in her most saddened tone as tears started to form for her eyes. "LION-O, WE HAVE TO DO SOEMTHING TO SAVE GI!" Linka yelled while tears continued to fall from her eyes.
"I know how you feel Linka, but I believe Gi knows what she is doing." Lion-O replied while trying to keep his feelings in check.
"LION-O WE NEED TO DO SOMETHING I HAVE TO DO-!" Linka started to yell until she started to see the passionate kiss between Gi and Wheeler. "Gi. I'm sorry for what this has come to." She added in her most saddened and honest tone. "Lion-O, what's happening now?"
"I have no idea." Lion-O replied as a strange light started to emerge from Gi's and Wheeler's position. "Jagara what do you think?"
"I haven't a clue Lion-O." Jagara replied as she started to release the force shield protecting her body.
As everyone continued to watch and Gi's life force started to fade away while Kissing Wheeler, a strange light started to awaken from somewhere on Wheeler. As the light started to glow brighter and brighter Everyone started to see at least for a second where the light was coming from. The strange light was coming from the ring that Wheeler got a while back from the Unicorn he met in the forest. This ring has many magical properties but nothing like what was happening right now. As the light finally enveloped both Wheeler and Gi a strange voice started to emerge from the ring.
"GI! NO THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING! I WON'T ALLOW YOU TO HURT ANY OF MY FRIENDS ANYMORE! GET OUT OF MY MIND AND LEAVE MY BODY RIGHT NOW!" The voice stated from the ring.
"WHO ARE YOU TO TELL ME WHAT TO DO! I HAVE A MISSION TO COMPLETE FOR MY MASTER! AND MY MISSION IS TO DESTROY EVERYONE WHO MURDERED MY WIFE AND FAMILY!" Wheeler stated while not knowing where the voice was coming from.
"WRONG! TRISH IS ALIVE AND THRIVING WELL AND SHE IS DOING FINE AND SO ARE MY PARENTS! That is my body and I was a fool for letting you control it for as long as you have. NOW LEAVE MY BODY AND MIND AT ONCE!"
"NEVER!"
"THEN YOU LEAVE ME NO CHOICE! I'LL HAVE TO FIGHT YOU FOR MY BODY!" The voice stated as a second white light started to come from the Unicorn ring and impacted the Planeteer ring.
As the second white light started to hit the Planeteer ring, the light that was surrounding both Gi and Wheeler started to disappear. As the light started to vanish, everyone started to see Gi, still holding onto Wheeler while Wheeler's eyes started to turn white. As the light finally vanished, Jagara, Lion-O and Linka started to rush over to try and help Gi while the sword was still impaled inside her chest and back.
"Hold on Gi. You must keep fighting." Linka stated while see some blood on Gi's mouth. "Lion-O we have to get that sword out of her."
"No. Don't remove the sword. I have to help Wheeler." Gi stated while still in a weakened state and getting weaker by the minute.
"Gi, if we don't remove the sword you are going to die." Lion-O stated as Jagara started to notice something strange.
"Lion-O, Linka, do as she asks." Jagara stated as Lion-O and Linka both turned their attention towards her.
"WHAT!?" They both stated at the same time.
"She is going to die if we don't do something." Linka replied with terror in her tone.
"I understand but if we remove the sword, then your friend Wheeler will die." Jagara replied in her most honest tone.
"Jagara, what are you talking about?" Lion-O asked with wonder.
"I'll show you." Jagara replied as she started to use another ability she has.
As Jagara started to use another ability, she started to show Linka and Lion-O some sort of blue energy stream coming from the sword of Plun-Darr and impacting the Unicorn ring. While at the same time, another energy beam started to come from the Unicorn ring and strike the darkened Planeteer ring.
"Jagara, what exactly are we seeing." Lion-O asked with wonder and concern for Gi's life.
"Gi is using the Sword of Plun-Darr to try and help your friend regain his mind and body." Jagara stated in her most honest tone.
"What do you mean?" Linka asked.
"Gi wanted herself to be impaled in order to transfer her life force and all of her deep love to help save Wheeler. She is helping Wheeler even now, but if we remove the sword, then the connection will be broken and we could loose them both forever."
"Is there anything we can do?"
"Just have faith and trust in Wheeler and Gi."
"Alright but what happens if she is successful, how can we help save Gi's life?"
"Once your friend is safe then we must put her in my special healing chamber. It can help in healing just about anything, but it is very risky and dangerous. If her life force is completely drained before Wheeler is saved then I might not be able to save her. It is up to Gi and Wheeler now."
"Wheeler, Gi please fight to survive and come back to us." Linka stated as tears started to form and fall on the Asian's face.
As Gi's life force continued to drain, the Asian Planeteer started to see herself in another place completely different than where she was. As the area started to become more clear, she started to see their home back on Earth. It was Hope Island, but something was very wrong. The island was dark in some parts and light in some others, and she started to feel herself getting cold as if something was draining the warmth around and replacing it with cold. As Gi started to explore she started to hear something that sounded like fighting coming from the main Crystal Chamber. As she approached, she started to see two Wheelers fighting it out, but something was not right. One of the Wheeler's had a dark aura around him and the other Wheeler's white aura was starting to fade.
"I won't let you hurt my friends or the people I love any more you monster." Wheeler stated to his dark mirror.
"You are a fool, why can't you just accept it, your body now belongs to me and Mumm-Ra forever." His mirror image stated while glowing red eyes.
"I WILL NEVER SURRENDER! I WILL FIGHT YOU WITH EVERYTHING THAT I HAVE."
"THEN YOU WILL DIE!" The darkened mirror version stated as he started to materialize an mental image of the Sword of Plun-Darr.
"NO YOU WON'T!" Wheeler stated as he started to materialize two hilts for each of his hands.
"What are those useless things going to do?"
"Watch and learn you phony." Wheeler replied as he started to extend two energy blades coming from the hilts. "Good thing I watch some of those Star Wars movies while growing up."
"THOSE PUNY THINGS WON'T HELP YOU!" The mirror version stated as he started to change the blades of the Sword of Plun-Darr into energy blades as well.
"I will stop you right now." Wheeler stated as they both started to clash with their energy blades.
As Gi watched, she couldn't believe that Wheeler was trying so hard to regain control of his mind and body from the darkened mirror version. As she continued to watch she saw that Wheeler was loosing the fight as the mirror version was able to cut right through one of the energy blades as well as kicking Wheeler in his chest, forcing him to the ground.
"Now I have you, prepare to die forever." The mirror version stated until both Wheeler and his counterpart started to hear someone very close.
"NO YOU DON'T! WATER!" Gi shouted as a stream of water started to emerge from behind the counterpart and impacted his back, forcing the mirror image into the far wall.
"Gi! But how?!" Wheeler stated as Gi started to run towards him.
"Wheeler, I'm here to save you but I." Gi stated as she started to fall to her knees.
"Gi, what's wrong?" Wheeler asked while kneeling down next to Gi.
"Feeling weaker, my life force is draining away."
"Gi, please don't leave me, don't leave the Planeteers."
"Wheeler, there is something I always wanted to tell you from the first day we met. I…. I…. I love you Wheeler. I love you with my heart and soul."
"Gi. I love you too. Even more than I ever thought. Now please fight to survive."
"I can't. Getting weaker and weaker." Gi stated as she started to fade in and out.
"NO GI! I WON'T LOOSE YOU." Wheeler stated as he started to hold both of the Asian's Planeteer hands. "Join with me."
"What?" Gi asked while still feeling weak.
"Join your life force with mine and we will defeat my evil counterpart, and then I will help to save you as well. Please Gi, it is your only hope."
"Alright. How do I do it?" Gi asked while the dark counterpart started to rise back to his feet.
"Just concentrate on me and becoming one with me. Maybe this will help as well." Wheeler stated as he started to give Gi a very passionate kiss in order to strengthen Gi's resolve.
As Wheeler and Gi continued to share their passionate kiss, Wheeler's evil twin finally got back to his feet and started to lunge towards the duo.
"NOW DIE BOTH OF YOU!" The counterpart stated as he started to see a strange light coming from both Gi and Wheeler. "NO! WHERE IS THIS LIGHT COMING FROM?!" He added as the light continued to appear around Wheeler and Gi.
As the light started to appear around both Gi and Wheeler, the counterpart was pushed back again towards the wall, but this time the counterpart used his sword to stop his momentum while witnessing what was happening. As the light started to surround both Gi and Wheeler, it started to change colors between both red and blue. As the light continued to change Gi's image started to disappear into Wheeler's own mental image causing a massive change in color and strength. As the light faded and the counterpart was able to focus again, he started to wonder what happened to the intruder.
"Where is you little friend? Is she dead from my blade finally." The counterpart stated while Wheeler got to his feet.
As Wheeler rose back to his feet, he was still holding the remaining laser sword hilt, but now it started to change into a new form. As his counterpart watched, the hilt Wheeler held started to transform into an exact replica of the Sword of Plun-Darr but this replica has one blade of pure fire and the other of pure water.
"What are you going to do with that sword?" The counterpart stated feeling very confident he will win this battle.
"You have no idea of the power we now possess. Gi and Wheeler are now one and the same, and together we will destroy you and force you out of this body and mind forever." Wheeler spoke in Wheeler and Gi's voices.
"Come at me then and die." The counterpart stated as he started to lunge at Wheeler with his sword.
As the counterpart started to lunge at Wheeler, it started to use it's sword to land a fatal strike against the Fire and Water Planeteers, but was unprepared for what happened next. As the counterpart began it's strike, Wheeler used his sword to completely slice through the counterpart's sword. As the counterpart finally arrived at the other side from his attack, he started to see that his sword was completely sliced through and broken.
"That's impossible. Nothing can break this sword."
"We make the impossible possible." Wheeler stated as he started to slice the counterpart with the water side of his sword.
"What is happening?" Why can't I move?" The counterpart stated as he started to see water marks on his body from the sword.
"Those marks are paralyzing anything it touches, now to drive you out once and for all." Wheeler stated as he started to strike the counterpart with the flame side of his sword.
As the flame sword started to impact the counterpart's body, the darkness started to scream in agony as well as starting to vaporize into nothing. As Wheeler continued to strike, the counterpart started to say one last sentence before he was gone forever.
"You may have driven me out, but remember everything that I did was in you body and your friends and the people you love will never trust you again. You will be alone forever and your friends will be destroyed by Mumm-Ra. HA HA HA HA HA HA.!" The darkness stated as it finally disappeared into nothing.
As the battle inside Wheeler's mind was ending, the darkness surrounding Wheeler's ring started to fade away, revealing the fire emblem on his Planeteer ring once again. As the ring continued to become purified, Wheeler's eyes also started to change color from white back to normal blue eyes. After a moment Jagara started to speak.
"Lion-O, Linka I think that Wheeler and Gi won, look at your friend's ring." Jagara stated in her most honest tone.
"She's right, the darkness is gone. Now all we have to do is to remove that sword from Gi's body." Lion-O stated as they both started to hear a familiar voice.
"Here.. I got it." The voice stated as the sword was removed from Gi's chest.
As the sword was removed from GI's chest, blood started to pour out as everyone started to see that Wheeler had removed the sword from the Asian Planeteer's body. After a moment, Jagara started to use her powers to try and keep the blood loss from Gi to a minimal.
"Quickly now, my powers will only help her for a short time, we must get her into my healing chamber right away." Jagara stated as Lion-O was getting ready to pick Gi up to travel.
"Lion-O, this is my fault, I want to be the one to fix this." Wheeler stated as he started to take off his Planeteer ring. "I don't ever want to see this ring ever again." He stated as he dropped the ring on the ground and started to pick up Gi's body.
"Wheeler." Linka stated after what Wheeler had done. "Are you alright?" She asked with much concern.
"I'm done with all of it. I'm done with saving the planet, done with being a Planeteer and I'm done with you Linka. This is all your fault. You made me do this and now Gi is paying the ultimate price, but I won't let Gi die. Jagara lead the way please." Wheeler stated as he started to follow Jagara into another section of the Great Beneath.
"Linka, are you alright?" Lion-O asked while seeing the hurt in Linka's eyes.
"Lion-O, what do we do now?" Linka stated while trying to pick up Wheeler's Planeteer ring. "Did Wheeler really mean what he said to me?"
"No Linka, I don't believe so. Remember he had no control of what he was doing, and Mumm-Ra's magic is really strong." Lion-O started to say while turning his attention towards Ma-Mutt. "But first things first." Lion-O added while picking up Ma-Mutt. "Easy there boy." He stated while seeing the pain in Ma-Mutt's eyes. "We are going to help you."
"YOU WANT TO HELP MA-MUTT?! ARE YOU CRAZY?!" Linka yelled while still feeling sad.
"Linka, Ma-mutt is a living creature and we have to help him. No matter who his master is, besides I think that he will not fight us on this matter." Lion-O stated while Ma-Mutt gave a small whimper. "Now come on and we can see how Gi is doing."
"Alright." Linka replied as they both left Torr to continue the repairs on Screwloose.
As Jagara and Wheeler entered Jagara's healing chambers, Wheeler started to see what looks like a meeting desk as well as a bed and a strange looking capsule. This capsule was the prototype used in the Thundercat's suspension Capsules that brought them all to Third Earth years earlier, but this one was modified with tubing and a strange looking medical computer.
"Quickly, place Gi inside the capsule." Jagara stated as Gi was continuing to bleed out.
"Hold on Gi. You must keep fighting to stay with us." Wheeler stated as the lid to the capsule started to open up.
As soon as the capsule opened, Wheeler placed Gi's body inside the unit while she was still bleeding. After a moment the capsule started to close and some strange mist started to surround the inside of the device.
"Gi!" Wheeler shouted as the mist completely covered the Asian Planeteer.
"It is alright my friend. That is just to stop the bleeding and slow down her body functions for a while." Jagara stated as the medical devices inside the capsule started to come alive. "Now let's see here." Jagara stated as she started to examine the readings from the medical computers.
"So, how is she?" Wheeler asked in his most saddened tone.
"Her vital signs are very weak. I will have to inject her with some medical robots to repair most of the damage."
"What do you mean by most of the damage?"
"Her physical damages can be repaired but I'm afraid that her emotional and psychological damages will take longer to repair. I can sense that the same is also for you my young friend." Jagara started to say as she started to inject some medical robots into one of the capsule's tubing.
"But will she survive?" Wheeler asked with a saddened look on his face.
"She will, but only if she wants to come back."
"I know she does. She was able to bring me back, now I want to do the same for her."
"Unfortunately, this will take some time, so maybe you and I should talk for a while." Jagara stated as she gestured Wheeler to follow her to the small meeting desk. "Now have a seat and tell me why are you so twisted inside."
"Beg your pardon?"
"My young friend, I can sense many things and I sense that you are trying to sort out your feelings for your friends, the ones you love and what happened to you."
"I guess it would be hard for anyone to keep secrets from you."
"Yes, it would. But first we should have our other guests join us." Jagara stated as she started to turn her attention towards the main door. "YOU CAN COME IN LION-O, AND PLEASE INVITE YOUR FEMALE FRIEND AS WELL.!" She yelled back as the door started to open.
As the door to her chambers started to open, both Jagara and Wheeler started to see Lion-O and Linka coming inside. As the Wind Planeteer walked in, she started to see Wheeler sitting down at a table with Jagara. A moment later she started to walk over in hoping to talk with her husband.
"I figured that you would want this back." Linka stated as she placed Wheeler's Planeteer ring on the table.
"I though I told you that I was done with the Planeteers and with you." Wheeler stated as he grabbed the ring and tossed it across the room.
"Wheeler please, this isn't you talking. I know who you are. You are a good person with a strange sense of humor and would never let anything happen to your friends or the people you care about."
"KNOW ME… KNOW ME!" Wheeler started to shout in anger. "LINKA, YOU DON'T KNOW ME AT ALL. AFTER WHAT HAPPENED TO ME AND GI, I'M NOT SURE I KNOW WHO I AM. BUT I DO KNOW ONE THING FOR SURE! I'M DONE WITH EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE!"
"Wheeler, what are you saying?" Lion-O asked with concern while holding Ma-Mutt in his arms.
"After Gi is better and we get back to Third Earth, I'm leaving for good. Consider this my formal resignation from the Planeteers and the Thundercats. I'm sorry Lion-O, but I just don't know where I belong right now."
"WHEELER, YOU BELONG WITH YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY!" Linka yelled after hearing Wheeler's statement.
"Lion-O."
"I understand, but before you go ahead and do something rash, can you please help me with Ma-Mutt?" Lion-O asked while still holding the injured dog.
"Fine. I'll take Ma-Mutt and start to help him." Wheeler replied as he started to get up from the table and gently took Ma-Mutt from Lion-O's arms. "I'm sorry for what happened to you Ma-Mutt." He stated as Ma-Mutt just whimpered and gave Wheeler a lick on his face. "Come on let's see what I can do to help make you better." He added as he and Ma-Mutt went into a different room to work.
After Wheeler and Ma-Mutt had left her chambers, Jagara almost immediately sensed pain and sadness coming from the Wind Planeteer. As Jagara continued to look on, Linka started to develop massive tears coming from her eyes. It was though she was shot with something right through her heart that made the man she loves hate her.
"Lion-O, Jagara." Linka started to say while still crying. "What is happening to Wheeler? Why is he acting like this?"
"I'm really not sure Linka." Lion-O started to say as he helped Linka to Jagara's bed to rest. "Wheeler's been under Mumm-Ra's power longer than anyone. Who knows what the long term effects are, but one thing is true."
":snifs: What's that?"
"He still loves you Linka." Jagara stated as she started to join Wheeler and Linka.
"He does?" Linka replied in a confused tone.
"Yes, but his feelings are all mixed up. From his time with your friends and what he did under Mumm-Ra's power, and his true feelings for your friend in the medical pod."
"Gi."
"Yes, but in time he will be fine. Just for now give him some space and a chance to get his feelings untwisted."
"But how long?"
"On that I can't say, but we can worry about that later. Right now let's go check in on Gi."
"Alright."
"Linka, you should lay down and rest for a while. I can sense that you are also tired from your own ordeal."
"You are good."
"I get that a lot." Jagara stated as she turned her attention towards Lion-O. "Will you make sure that Linka rests? I'm going to check in on Gi in the pod and then Wheeler and Ma-Mutt."
"OK." Lion-O replied.
"Jagara?" Linka started to say with a saddened and concerned tone.
"Yes my dear?" Jagara replied.
"Can you please try to help Wheeler?"
"I'll do my best." Jagara stated as she started to pick up something off the floor. "Here, you better hold on to this." Jagara stated as she gave Linka back Wheeler's Planeteer ring.
"Thank you."
"You're quite welcome my dead." Jagara replied as she started to go and check on Gi.
As Jagara went to check on Gi, and Lion-O was keeping a watchful eye on Linka, in another room inside the Great Beneath, Wheeler had already begun his work on helping Ma-Mutt recover from his injuries.
"Ma-Mutt, I'm so sorry for what happened to you." Wheeler started to say while applying some ointment on Ma-Mutt's wounds. "Take it easy there boy. I'm not trying to hurt you." He added as Ma-Mutt continued to whimper in pain. "Ma-Mutt, I know that you would never consider this, but would you like to leave your master and be with the Thundercats?"
After Wheeler's question, Ma-Mutt gave a whimper and then a lightly confused bark.
"Don't get me wrong, I know you love your master, but he treats you more like a servant than a friend. Since then I noticed a change in you when I commented you on doing a good job. I know I wasn't in control but I was trying to come back. Ma-Mutt, would you consider my offer?" Wheeler asked while applying the last of the ointment of Ma-Mutt's wounds. "There all better now. You just need to rest." Wheeler stated as he started to go and wash the leftover ointment off from his hands.
As Wheeler was washing off the ointment from his hands, he didn't notice someone coming into the room to check in on himself and Ma-Mutt.
"Wheeler, are you doing alright?" The voice stated as the person came inside.
After the question, Wheeler started to turn around to see Jagara standing behind him.
"Jagara, yea I'm fine. Just finished treating Ma-Mutt's wounds and now just letting him rest." Wheeler stated in his most honest tone.
"Wheeler, I wasn't talking about Ma-Mutt."
"Oh."
"Wheeler, tell me what is going with you? I can sense that there is a conflict going on with you and your feelings."
"I don't know where to start or how to explain everything to you."
"Maybe I can help. Would you allow me to enter your mind?"
"Enter my mind? Is this like a Vulcan Mind Meld?"
"Vulcan Mind Meld?"
"Never mind. What would you have to do?"
"Just to touch your forehead for just a moment, then I will know everything that you know."
"Alright." Wheeler stated as Jagara started to touch Wheeler's forehead with her index finger.
As Jagara started to touch Wheeler's forehead, the images and memories inside the Fire Planeteer's mind started to flow into Jagara's mind. As she continued to look through all of the memories, she started to see what was causing Wheeler to act that way towards Linka and the other Thundercats.
"You poor young man. I understand now."
"I thought you would, and now you know why-." Wheeler started to say until he started to sense something inside his mind.
"Wheeler, what is it?"
"It's Ma-Ti. He and the other Thundercats are in trouble." Wheeler stated as he started to head towards the door.
"Where are you going?" Jagara asked with concern.
"To tell Lion-O and Linka." Wheeler replied as he started to leave the room.
"But why? I thought you said you were done with them."
"I am, but I can't let my feelings for the current situation distract me from doing the right thing. After everyone is safe back on Third Earth, then I'm done for good."
"If you're sure about that."
"Look, I know you were inside my mind, but still my decision is final. After the Thundercats and their friends are safe then I'm leaving."
"Alright, but you won't mind if I tell the others what I saw. Maybe they can help you."
"Do what you want, but for now I better tell Lion-O."
"OK." Jagara replied as they both left the room so Ma-Mutt could rest.
As Jagara was heading into the other room to talk with Wheeler, Lion-O was keeping watch over Linka while she continued to rest on the bed in Jagara's chambers. Besides keeping an eye on the Wind Planeteer, the Lord of the Thundercats was also monitoring the Water Planeteer's life signs. After checking on Gi, while still in the capsule, Lion-O took one of the chairs from the table and placed it near Linka's bedside before sitting down. As he started to sit down, Lion-O noticed that Linka was still crying after hearing what Wheeler said to both her and Lion-O.
"Linka?" Lion-O asked with a concerned tone in his voice.
"Lion-O?" Linka replied while still sad.
"I know you are upset about what happened, but you have to know that Wheeler is in a bad place right now, and he needs us all."
"I understand that but." Linka started to say while sitting up on the bed. "I just wish that I could get through to him."
"Try putting yourself in someone else's position. If someone you know was in pain, what would you do?"
"I would tell them to confront what was bothering them and to get over it."
"In those words exactly?"
"Na. Not in those words, but talking about it would help." Linka replied as she opened her right hand which has Wheeler's Planeteer ring. "There must be a way to get back the Wheeler I know."
"I'm sure that there is but for now our main concern is Gi."
"Why? What happened? Is Gi alright?" Linka stated in almost a panic tone.
"She is fine, but she still needs time to recover. Her vital signs are getting stronger, but that is all I know."
"Gi is my best friend and almost like a sister. I also know that she thinks of Wheeler as a brother."
"Maybe Gi can get through to him."
"Maybe be it's just-" Linka started to say until she started to feel something inside her head.
"Linka, are you OK?" Lion-O asked just as the Sword also started to make a noise. "The Eye of Thundera. Someone's in trouble." Lion-O stated as he took the sword out from the Claw Shield. At the same time, both Wheeler and Jagara started to enter the room.
"LINKA, LION-O, IT'S MA-TI! THE OTHERS ARE IN TROUBLE!" Wheeler yelled as they both entered the room.
"Da. I felt Ma-Ti as well. We got to get back to them."
"Sword of Omens, give me sight beyond sight." Lion-O started as the sword's hilt started to change into it's two eye sockets.
As Lion-O started to look into the Sword he started to see images from what was happening on Third Earth. As Lion-O continued to look inside the sword, he started to see their friends being attacked and their home being bombarded by something in the air. He also started to see the homes of their allies and friends being destroyed and burner to the ground.
"NO!" Lion-O shouted as the images finally stopped.
"Lion-O, what's wrong?" Jagara asked with much concern.
"Jagara, how long before Gi is fully healed?" Lion-O asked with worry for the woman he loves back on Third Earth.
"I'm not sure, it could be a couple of hours."
"I don't think we have a couple of hours." Lion-O started to say with a determined tone in his voice. "Mumm-Ra has launched a massive offensive against our friends back on Third Earth. The only question is how the mummy came up with that plan to begin with."
"I believe that Wheeler knows." Jagara stated as Lion-O and Linka started to shift their attention towards Wheeler.
"Wheeler, do you know what Jagara is talking about?" Linka asked in her most confused tone.
"I… I think so." Wheeler replied while trying to wrap him head around everything that he did while the darkness took over. "The plan to attack your friends, that was my plan, or at least the darkness that took over my mind and body."
"Wheeler." Linka stated while seeing the guilt and hurt in Wheeler's eyes.
"It's not your fault Wheeler. You couldn't have know this would happen." Lion-O stated as Wheeler started to get angry.
"YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND! I CAN SEE EVERYTHING HAPPENING, BUT COULDN'T DO ANYTHING! I WAS POWERLESS TO STOP EVERYTHING, AND NOW EVERYONE WILL GET HURT BECAUSE OF WHAT I DID!"
"Is that why you want to leave us?" Linka started to ask. "Because you blame yourself for what happened."
"It's more than that." Wheeler started to say while someone entered the room. "After what Mumm-Ra showed me in that Cauldron of his, all I could think of was revenge. Even though the darkness was in complete control, I still wanted to make them pay."
"You shouldn't beat yourself up about it Wheeler." The voice started to say. "No one here blames you for what happened to you."
After hearing that statement, everyone started to shift their attention towards the voice. As they all looked on, they all saw Panthro standing right behind Wheeler while placing his left hand on Wheeler's right shoulder. As Panthro placed his hand on Wheeler, tears started to appear in the Planeteer's eyes. It was if a barrier has been broken, and a flood of guilt and sadness has been set free from within.
"I blame myself. I blame myself for falling right into Mumm-Ra's trap." Wheeler stated in his most honest tone.
"We can discuss all of that later Wheeler, right now we more pressing matters that require our attention." Lion-O stated while looking at Panthro. "Panthro, is the Feliner ready to head back to Third Earth, all of our friends are in trouble."
"She's primed and ready to go." Panthro replied in his most honest tone.
"Everyone, let's get going." Lion-O stated as everyone expect for Jagara and Wheeler started to head towards the door.
"Wheeler?" Linka stated with a confused tone.
"I'm staying." Wheeler replied as he started to move a chair and sit down next to Gi's capsule.
"Wheeler, we need all hands on deck for this." Lion-O started to say while trying not be hurt Wheeler's feelings. "What would Gi tell you to do if it was Linka in the capsule?"
"Gi would tell me that saving your friends is our number one priority, but also to never leave a team member behind. If I did go with you then I would be leaving a team member behind and I don't want that to happen."
"But if you did stay, then how would you get back with Gi?" Linka asked with concern.
After Linka's statement, no one noticed that a small dog like creature started to enter the room, while hiding in the darkness to avoid being detected. After a moment, the dog started to run towards Wheeler while barking the whole time.
"WHEELER, WATCH OUT FOR!" Panthro shouted until he started to see what Ma-Mutt was doing to Wheeler.
As Panthro and the others started to watch, Ma-Mutt was coming over to Wheeler and started to jump on his lap and started to lick his face.
"Ma-Mutt, that tickles." Wheeler stated while starting to laugh a little.
"Ah, would someone care to explain what just happened?" Panthro asked while looking completely confused.
"It would take too long to explain everything to you Panthro." Wheeler started to say. "Lion-O, Linka, go on ahead. Gi, Ma-Mutt and I will catch up once she is better."
"Wheeler are you sure about this?" Linka asked with concern in her tone.
"I SAID GO!" Wheeler started to shout. " EVERY SECOND WE SPEND TALKING IS ANOTHER SECOND THAT MUMM-RA AND HIS ALLIES IN EVIL ARE HURTING OUR FRIENDS!" He added as Ma-Mutt juist laid on Wheeler's lap.
"Wheeler's right Linka." Lion-O started to say in his most honest tone.
"What are you saying Lion-O? We can't just leave them here."
"Yes we can." Panthro stated while looking at Ma-Mutt. "Ma-Mutt, if you can understand what I am saying, will you bring the others back once Gi is healed?" He added as Ma-Mutt started to give a small whimper and a small bark.
"Wheeler, here." Linka stated as she placed his Planeteer ring on the table opposite the capsule.
"Linka?" Panthro stated while confused.
"It's alright Panthro." Linka started to say. "Please Wheeler, reconsider your choices. Gaia, Ma-Ti, Kwami, they would miss you dearly, and so would I. Just please think about what you said earlier and make the right choice."
"And if choose to leave?" Wheeler asked with wonder.
"If you choose to leave, then I understand, but please don't make that decision."
"Fine. I'll think about it." Wheeler replied in his most determined tone.
"Linka, we should go now." Lion-O stated while trying not to be rude.
"Just one last thing please Lion-O." Linka asked as Lion-O gave Linka a nod.
As soon as Lion-O gave Linka the OK, the Wind Planeteer started to give Wheeler a very passionate kiss. This kiss may have been a surprise to everyone else, but for Linka, it was to prove to Wheeler that she really loves him and doesn't want him to leave their family and his life behind. As Linka and Wheeler broke the kiss, she saw that Lion-O was gesturing Linka to come along for their return trip back to Third Earth.
"Wheeler, we will see you and Gi back on Third Earth." Lion-O stated as himself, Linka and Panthro started to head back towards the Feliner.
"Good luck everyone." Wheeler stated as he started to see Gi's life signs start to change. "JAGARA! IS THIIS TRUE?!" Wheeler yelled as the readings started to get stronger.
"Yes. Gi is getting stronger. She should be back with us in no time."
"That's great news." Wheeler stated as he started to head over to the table where Linka had left his Planeteer ring. "I'll hold on to this, but I'm not going to wear it." He added as he started to remove the golden armor that Mumm-Ra had given him. "Jagara, do you think you can do something about my wardrobe?" He asked as he started to show all of the cuts and rips that he suffered while being tortured by Mumm-Ra.
"I believe I can help but try not to rip these clothes." Jagara stated as she started to hit the Fire Planeteer with a energy beam to generate new clothing for the Planeteer.
As Wheeler watched, the rips and cuts from his ordeal started to heal as new fabric started to materialize. These new clothes were formed in the style of the Thunderians with a cloth covering half of their chest, and tight shorts that go down to the knees. Jagara also was able to give Wheeler a new jacket just like his old Planeteer jacket but with the Thundercat Symbol on the back.
"Thanks Jagara. These cloths rock." Wheeler stated while Jagara was trying to figure out what Wheeler meant by his statement.
"Pardon me but can you explain what you said about those clothes?"
"Sorry Jagara, It means that what you gave me is great." Wheeler replied as he placed his Planeteer ring in the jacket pocket. "
"OK." Jagara stated as the medical computer at Gi's capsule started to make some strange noises.
"Jagara, what is happening?" Wheeler asked with much concern.
"Calm down Wheeler." Jagara started to say. "The machine is telling me that Gi should wake up within the hour. She is a very strong woman."
"I know."
"Wheeler, I think that now we should continue to discuss what happened to you and how it has been effecting you.."
"OK."
"And once Gi is with us, discuss it with her as well."
"For what reason?"
"I think that your melding of souls in a way is what has been affecting you."
"Melding of souls?" Wheeler asked with wonder. "What do you mean?"
"I can sense that Gi is somehow within you still, but fading as her body starts to get better."
"Do you think that is why I acted the way I did before?"
"I'm not sure but we should start right now."
"Alright." Wheeler replied as they both started to talk about Wheeler's experience.
As Jagara and Wheeler started to have their meeting, Panthro, Lion-O and Linka have just reached the landing pad inside the Churning Rocks. On the landing pad was the Thundercat vehicles, The Whisker and the Feliner. As they approached the Feliner, Linka started to feel hesitant about leaving the man she loves and her best friend behind.
"Linka, are you having second thoughts about leaving Wheeler and Gi?" Lion-O asked as they all started to enter the Feliner.
"Da. I feel as if I should do something more to help them." Linka replied in her most honest tone.
"There is nothing you can do for Wheeler. This is something he has to figure out for himself." Panthro stated as he started to power up the Feliner's controls.
"I know, but Gi." Linka started to say while trying not to let her true feelings show. "Gi is my best friend and Wheeler is my husband."
"I'm sorry for what you are going through Linka." Lion-O started to say in his most honest and caring tone. "I'm also worried about Cheetara and the rest of the Thundercats back on Third Earth."
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to-" Linka started to say before she was cut off.
"I know what you are trying to say Linka, don't worry about a thing. Right now we have to get back to Third Earth." Lion-O stated as the Feliner started to take off from the landing pad.
"Lion-O, once we clear New Thundera's atmosphere, I'm going to activate the FDL drive." Panthro started to say in his most honest tone.
"Right Panthro. I'll start inputting the coordinates for Third Earth." Lion-O replied as Linka continued to watch the Churning Rocks disappear from sight as they got higher into the air.
"Don't worry Linka." Lion-O started to say in his most honest tone. "Wheeler and Gi are in the best of hands."
"I know but Ma-Mutt." Linka replied in a worried tone.
"Ma-Mutt is a wild card. We'll just have to wait and see how this all plays out."
"Do you think that Ma-Mutt really would betray his master?"
"He did once, when he tried to warn us about a new weapon that Mumm-Ra was planning to use against us."
"How could he if he can't speak English?"
"Snarfer build a translator to use on Ma-Mutt."
"Unfortunately the device blew up after only a few minutes of work." Panthro started to state. "But it was a good piece of engineering."
"Maybe I can help Snarfer build a better unit, or t least a portable one for Ma-Mutt to wear all of the time."
"Now that would be a good idea." Lion-O started to say as the Feliner started to clear New Thundera's atmosphere. "Alright Panthro, we're clear of New Thundera."
"Roger that Lion-O." Panthro started to say as he started to push the button for the FTL drive. "FTL drive coming online now." He added as the Feliner started to glow light blue again.
As the FTL drive started to once again to come online, the Feliner started to become enveloped in the light blue energy bubble. After a moment, the energy bubble and everyone and everything that was inside it completely vanished from sight without a trace. A moment later the energy bubble from the FDL drive started to appear once again over the Thundercat's home Planet of Third Earth. Within moments, the bubble vaporized, leaving only the Feliner alone and in deep space.
"I don't think I'll ever get used to that kind of transportation." Linka stated as everyone inside the Feliner was starting to get their bearings again.
"Same here but it is faster than normal travel." Lion-O replied in his most honest tone.
"Maybe, but I think I left my stomach back on New Thundera."
"How can you leave your stomach back on New Thundera?" Panthro asked with wonder.
"Just a figure of speech Panthro." Linka replied.
"Alright you two, let's try to contact Cat's Lair and see what is happening since we left." Lion-O stated in his most determined tone.
"Bad news about that Lion-O." Panthro started to say. "I've been trying to contact the Lair after we arrived but I am getting nothing."
"Maybe a comm unit malfunction?" Linka replied.
"Maybe." Panthro stated as he started to aim the Feliner towards the planet's atmosphere and then the Lair.
"Let's just hope that… GREAT JAGA!" Lion-O shouted as they started to see what was left of the Cat's Lair.
