Chapter 64 – More students
1 week later:
Ines was finish lunch, at the moment. Months ago, she didn't crack an egg, now she could cook for her and her husband, but Luke helped her a lot. At this moment he was holding their son, on his chest, patting his little back, helping him to burp. With 3 weeks old, he was getting bigger, to the point his newborn clothes didn't fit him anymore.
Luke was also looking at a notebook.
"Checking what you need for the Academy?" Ines asking while putting the plates on the table.
"Well the dormitories are done, but I really want take the practice rooms to be another level. Besides the kids will need history lessons too about the galaxy, the old Republic, Empire, etc. So I really think that I need to go with Han this time."
"You mean to his supplies request that he goes every 3 months?"
Luke looked at her and nod.
"But Luke, sometimes he takes 1 month to pick the supplies" she said
"I know babe, but I need to do this. Trust me, being away from you and him at this moment, kills me inside because I will miss a lot from him" he said kissing Ben's top of head.
"I know you need to do this but I will miss you. But hey maybe when you return I'm ready from some action." she winked at him laughing "But I also want to talk to you about some ideas I had for the Academy. I really like to hear your opinion but if you don't agree it is fine"
"Sweetheart I will love to hear your ideas" he said.
Ines smiled and leaning down she kissed him and Ben's head.
"The two loves of my life" she said as she put the food on the table "Lunch is ready" she smile. "Do you want me to pick him up. He didn't burp yet"
"No, babe, I love having my son in my arms." Luke smiled at him. He was so in love with his baby boy. He loved being a father.
"When Davi and Kino parents will be here for the meeting?"
"At 1600 hours." he said eating him
"Are you nervous?" she asked him
"Well not about Davi's parents. I sense they will not mind. Kino parents, that would be a real challenge"
Ines nod, she knew Kino's parents had a different opinion about the Jedi.
"I saw Ruby the other day, Davi's mother, and she told me that Kino's parents only come today because they come as well. But even if they were against the Emperor, and celebrate the fall but they were the few ones who believe what he said about the Jedi. After all his scars were a way to reinforce that lie"
"So they will be difficult, but I'm sure if Kino wants to be a Jedi, they would not go against their son's wish." she said and then look at Luke smiling
"What?"
"You will be an amazing Master. You are a fantastic father and you love kids and the kids loves you. Look at Luna. Your first student"
"I saw myself in that girl. Like me, she was raise by her uncle and aunt since she was a child. And she is a good girl"
"Yes she is."
There was a knock and Han entered with Chewie
"Hello" he said
"Han! Chewie!" Ines smiled when the Wookie growled.
Luke smile at the Wookie who looked at his baby in his arms and Ben focus on the Wookie and not cry.
"I think he likes you Chewie!" he said. "Yes you liked Uncle Chewie, don't you"
Pulling a chair, Han sat down.
"Do you want something?" Ines offered him
"No thanks. I already ate" he told and looked at Luke "You called me kid. What do you want?"
"Yes. You are leaving for your supply mission, right?" Luke asked him making Han nod.
"Yes. Chewie and I will leave next week. Why? Do you need something?"
"Do you mind if I go with you. I need some things for the new Academy, and for the kids, like food, materials, and so on"
"Sure. It will be great and like the old days" he said.
"How is Leia?" Ines asked him, making Han looked at her and then to Luke.
"She is working. Sooner or later she will see what she did was wrong and come to apologize" he told her
"I shouldn't have gone visit her with our baby either. She was still mourning the lost of yours and seeing ours of course she was upset. I shouldn't have done that. I should have wait first until she was ready to see me and Ben" Ines said with a sighed.
"Hey I'm guilty as well babe."
Han looked at his nephew "And how is that kid?"
"As you can see, he is doing great" Ines said looking at her baby, who all of the sudden gave a big burp, that make Luke looked at him laughing.
"That's my boy" he said kissing his little head.
"Well he is a Skywalker alright" Han told smiling
"Hey, I don't burp like that" Luke said
"I was talking about your wife, Luke" he told her
"Touché" Ines laughed and high five Han.
It was 1600 when Ines receive at the door Kino and Davi, along side their parents.
"Hello you two" she smiled and then looked at their parents "Welcome to my home. Please come in" and they head to the living room.
Luke came from inside and seeing them, he smiled
"Thank you for coming. Please have a seat" he pointing out "Hello guys"
"Mr. Skywalker" the kids smile at him.
"Your belly is not big anymore?" Davi asked Ines making her laughing
"Well because my baby already born"
"Can we see him?" Kino said
"Sure. He is sleeping but you can take a peak at him"
"It is a boy?" Kino asked making Ines nod
"What's his name?" Davi asked
"Boys, stop making so many questions?" Kino mother said
"It is fine" Ines smiled at her "How about this, we let your parents here with my husband, and I have a nice snack for us in the veranda and you can meet my son Ben and R2"
"R2?" Davi asked
R2 appeared beeping making the kids gasped
"Cool an astromech droid" the kids said running towards him making Luke laughed at them.
"Come on" Ines told to the kids "Come R2" and looking at Luke she said in her head If you need anything just call.
Luke look at her Sure.

Sitting in front of them, Luke started.
"I'm sure you already know why I called you. I already talk to Davi's parents about it"
"And we already decided that our son wants to be like you. He admires you. He had all the toys and books of you, so knowing that he can be like you, it made him so happy. So our answer is yes of course. It will be a privilege to have our son as future Jedi and have you as his Master" Davi's father state, making Luke smile
"Thanks" then he look at Kino's parents "I know you are not convince yet. And I would like to hear your opinion. I'm not here to force you to do anything. But I also like you to think about what your son's wants"
"Well, our son is like Davi's, you are his idol, so if depends on him he would say yes right away. But he is 8 and we are his parents"
Luke nod
"I know you want the best for your kid. I am a father too. My son is only 3 weeks old but I would do anything to make him happy, even if what he wants to do is not what I thought off."
"So if your son decided not to be a Jedi, you don't mind?" Kino's mother asked Luke
"Of course. It is not because I'm a Jedi, that I will force my son and my future kids to be like me and their mother. I will love them no matter what."
Kino's parents look at each other.
"It is just we heard stories about the Jedi" Kino's father started making Luke nod
"That were not true. You know the Emperor lie."
"But his scars"
"He did it that to make his story more truthful. We already talk about this." Davi's mother said "He was liar and made our life a living hell. It is thanks to a Jedi that we are free and live in a democracy again."
"Like I said, I will not force you to do anything."
"Do you already have some students?" Davi's father asked him
"Besides Davi, I have a girl from my mother's home planet, Naboo. A 9 years old girl name Luna."
"And when do you think of opened the Academy? And will our son be there or in our home?" Kino's mother asked Luke. He sensed they were giving in
"There is still some things to do. After all the Temple was abandoned for so long. But I hope to be ready at the beginning of next year. And there are dormitories inside, but those are for the students who are not from Coruscant. Your kids being here, will be at home. It is a new Jedi Order, so the rules will be different from the old one."
Kino's parents looked at each other and then back at Luke
"You are right. Our son happiness is more important. So we allow it"
Luke smiled
"Glad to hear it"
Kino and Davi came running from inside with Ines following them with Ben in her arms
"Mother! Father! R2 is so cool" Davi said smiling
"They are in love with R2. But even this little one keeps his eyes fix on him when he beeps" Ines laughed
"The baby is so small" Kino said
"He is very beautiful too and so adorable" Kino's mother said looking at the baby.
"Thanks" Luke and Ines said.
After talking about the baby and the labor, an hour later the kids left with their parents and Ines looked at Luke smiled
"Two more students. Babe I can't wait to see that Temple filled with kids."
Luke got closer to her and picking their baby he kissed her.
"I can't wait either" he said "I can't wait to teach you too" he said to the baby who made a baby sound making Luke smile at him.
He will revived the Jedi Order and in the future Jedi will be once again the guardians of the galaxy.
Luke have two more students. What thoughts Ines have for the Academy?
